Pisco Mar

Tried the trio platter with ceviche, calamari, and paella, and it was excellent. The portions were generous, and the service was fantastic.

In general, the food served there is very good. Yesterday was less than other days. I ordered Jalea Pisco Mar, and I received a big plate, including a fried Pargo, but the calamari was chewy. Kudos for the pork crackling that was delicious. The highlight is the average cost because I paid near to $160 for 4 person's. The tip is more expensive than all plates except for Jalea Pisco, and the service is good but would be better. The seats are worn or old, which detracts from the site's category.

First time here, food was delicious! Great variety to choose from. Service was lacking. Waitress did not smile, made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Waited 15 min to get our bill. Would definitely recommend checking out for the food, though!

All the dishes were delicious, there’s a wide variety of Peruvian dishes to choose from, each dish portion is pretty decent. I would definitely go back to try some more. Server was great and prices are reasonable. Over all I’ll give it an 8/10

We were traveling for business and had never had Peruvian food, so we tried it out. The chicha morada (purple corn drink) was interesting, so try it. The ceviche was amazing-apparently Peruvian ceviche is large chunks of seafood, as opposed to minced like Mexican. It was outstanding, well worth the price. My wife got steak, egg, and fries, which were all good. I did the beef stew, which was delicious as well. The flan is homemade; a little denser than I normally like, but still good. Our server was very nice, but was struggling to explain things to us in English-she’ll get better I’m sure. All in all, a great dining experience-we will be back to try some other stuff (and get another ceviche!).

Nice unique cuisine, very friendly staff

I was never much of a fan of ceviche, and I tried it when I visited Miami. It was "meh" to me. The seafood tasted a little mushy in some ways and rubbery in others. BUT, Pisco Mar knows how to do their ceviche right!! The sourness, spiciness, and texture of the fish were superb. I also loved the chunks of sweet potatoes that gave it another fine note of flavor when you build your bite of fish with it. Luscious! And their sauces are delicious. The steak I ordered was cooked beautifully, not tough at all. Everything was great! Our server, Hans, was great. He was informative, attentive, and pleasant. This is definitely a don't-miss place.

Literally couldn't be better. Best Peruvian Food I have ever had. Take your family and friends. It is all absolutely freaking delicious. Incredible experience!!!!!!

I ordered through Uber Eats, so I've never actually been inside the restaurant. I ordered ceviche, fried rice, yuca with the delicious cheese sauce. Moved to Indy from Florida & was really really excited to be able to get fresh ceviche as most places in the area literally cook it and then add it for ceviche. The food was DELICIOUS, fresh, and packaged well for delivery

So authentic! You don't need to know Peruvian food to try this - get the big family dish to try some of all of it! The ceviche, the steak salto! Yum!

This might be the best hidden gem in Indy! This is the best we have found outside of Miami! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and amazing. If you have never tried Peruvian before, you might need help with the ordering. Once you learn, you will be amazed at the amazing flavors!

the food was excellent, with the lomo saltado, causa and inka cola being particularly enjoyable. however the service took a turn for the worse when the heavier-set waitress became visibly upset because I didn't leave a tip on the card payment. I had intended to give her a cash tip, but her sudden change in behavior was off-putting.

Very fresh and delicious. Tried the fried fish and the grilled steak. All their sauces were yummy. If you ask for water it is mineral water so make a note. We will return.

Very excited to have a new Peruvian restaurant in Indy. Food: Lomo saltado was very over cooked and filled with onion 3/5 Causita de pollo: great presentation and taste 5/5 Ceviche shrimp and fish: very tasty needed salt too sour 4/5 What I did not enjoy was the service. My server, Rosa, first thing she asked me after I said hello was if I was Peruvian and if I speak Spanish. I told her I wasn't but I'm fluent in Spanish then proceeded to only speak to me in English. Seemed to be in a bad mood throughout my meal. Overall the food was good but over priced. I would expect these prices in Miami and Indianapolis

I had my favorite Tacu Tacu con Lomo. My kids love it. My husband loves it. My parents love it! My Peruvian friends love it. So all in all rave reviews all around. Cupe de mariscos was a hit. Lomo with Tacu Tacu was also a hit. The ceviche de camarones can pescado was awesome. Portions are big so don't get carried away ordering your favorites. Inca cola is always a must. The only thing I missed was Inca cola diet. The service was fast and friendly. Our waitress checked on us frequently. The ambience was very nice with Peruvian music in the background. The plates were plated in very authentic way. Nice experience and can't wait to go back again. It's been a while we have come down to Indy to visit and this was an awesome experience.

This is a great casual Peruvian spot. My family is Peruvian and we were impressed by our recent Pisco Mar visit. We all ordered ceviches and each one had an authentic and fresh flavor. I like how you can select the spice level of your ceviche because I always prefer a spicier dish but my family members prefer mild. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I would recommend this spot if you are looking for a low-key spot and a delicious meal!

Come here with an empty stomach the food is very plentiful and fresh. My family and I will definitely be back here to eat. The ceviche is delicious.!!!!

I've had Pisco Mar at 96th and Allisonville on my radar since they opened and finally went today. I had the Churrasco and chaufa. It was delicious! My server, Rosa, was so sweet. She so patiently suffered through my rusty Spanish Give them a shot if you like Latin food or if you want to try something different. I'm betting you'll go back again!!! Next time I'll try the Lomo Saltado.

Great to have another Peruvian restaurant in town. This is now my new favorite Peruvian one. Food: 4.5 /5 Ceviche was fresh and plentiful. The sweet potato could have been better but the fish and seafood was tasty. Lomo Saltado was delicious. Could have used a little more salt but it's easy enough to add. The aji verde is delicious and I made sure to put it on everything. Service 5/5 Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. Ambience 4.5/5 It's a little plain inside but everything is clean. Overall 5/5 For the price this is a great place. The flavors are authentic and I look forward to trying more dishes. I'll be back for sure

Place is unreal amazing. Got the ceviche and the fried rice with pork (chaufa amazonico). Fish was super fresh and the rice was amazing pork was cooked to perfection. Portion was huge to such a great deal would recommend if coming to Indy.

We were very happy to see a Peruvian restaurant close to us- very good food! My husband is from Lima so we were very hopeful!! We had a glass of Chicha Morada- nice flavor. We had Chaufa with chicken- delicious, the special of the day - Tacu Tacu with Lomo Saltado (ask for extra juice)- it was SOOOOO good!!!! We also ordered ceviche- very fresh and plentiful, a steak dish (don't remember the name) steak was marinated nicely, fries, fried egg, white rice and plantains- a nice flavor, and finally we also ordered Tiradito Chorrillano. That dish was a little disappointing because the octopus was tough, but the flavor of it was excellent.

Authentic Peruvian cuisine. Reminds me of growing up in Peru- especially the ceviche.

Amazing traditional Peruvian food. Customer service was wonderful. Steve was our server, and he was awesome and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We can't wait to return. We are a 10-minute drive from home.

Catering thru them was a great experience! They even communicated every details thru email and phone. My friends ended up going there after having some Lomo Saltado from their catered food.
