Menu is diverse,but they let me customize my meal. I wanted to try the chili tots but also the pulled pork,so they added it to my chili tots. So good! Coors light on tap,friendly staff and customers. Off the beaten path. Came at like 5 on a Sunday and not busy. Good time. Good food. Clean bathrooms and saw a small rv park,so enough room if need be.

Absolutely loved the vibe here! Great stop on your way home from either Vegas, Laughlin. I had their green chili sourdough grilled cheese, it was delicious! The fries were a bit overcooked for my liking but they were still good! From what I seen the burgers look absolutely amazing and plenty of burger for your buck. They have live music on some nights. Can't wait to go back!

Layed back comfortable place with a friendly bartender and regulars [customers]. I got a BLT w/ an avocado spread that was delicious, lotsa bacon! Service was quick and polite. Plenty of parking in their own lot.

It was a $20 min on a Friday just to order, it’s an OK place, nice atmosphere.

We went there for the first time today to pick up a Togo order, it was nice and clean inside and the staff were friendly. We ordered a cowboy burger, a BCA melt, some chili cheese fries and onion rings. Took about 30 minutes to get the order, but it was well worth the wait. Everything was delicious and we were so glad we tried a new place. I would definitely recommend!

Stopped here for dinner on an AZ/CA road-trip. It was a dark & cold evening and we wanted to sit inside with the dog which this place welcomes. Others have commented that it's a dive bar, which is a bit harsh as I've been in worse places. I would say it's just a no-frills local hangout and the affordable menu prices reflected that. Service was excellent and friendly. Some good IPAs on tap. Menu wasn't huge but had enough on it for us to choose from. Wife and I both ordered sandwiches which were both very good. Side fries were good too. If we were local we'd definitely be back.

My wife and I had been driving Historical Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica and made an early lunch stop in Barstow, CA. We were seated right away and the food was very good. We noticed a board that listed their many upcoming events, and then we spotted a nice lady writing events on a different board. It turned out her and her husband recently inherited ownership and recently reopened the place. We had a very pleasant and genuine conversation with her and she even provided us with information about future stops we were going to make on our journey back home as she had lived in one of the locations before. If you're in the area of the Pit Stop, we highly recommend stopping in for a meal, drinks, dancing, or just a nice conversation with good people.

We had dinner here after driving in from Flagstaff. My Louisiana hot chicken sandwich was delicious and the house coleslaw was fresh and crunchy. Our onion rings appetizer was perfect. My son inhaled the green chili burger and fries. Our server and bartender were outstanding. This is a great family place just outside of the main part of Barstow. I absolutely recommend it...but I have one minor suggestion. We almost drove away because when you park it looks like a dark and cozy neighborhood bar and my son is 18. We thought for sure it was 21 and over and I said, "Don't leave yet. Let me check." I walk in and there's almost more kids than adults. We almost missed a delicious meal. It needs a "family friendly" or "kids welcome" sign outside ! We will definitely be back here.

Cool little stop off in Barstow on way home from Las Vegas. It was Sunday and the whole city is shut down it seems. This place was open and was a decent little Stop off. Seemed like just one lady was working so it was slow service but I think that's the pace of this place, you stop off to watch a game not in a rush. We were in a bit more rush so a little slow but not crazy. Food was pretty good with basic bar choices. We got a burger, couple sandwiches, and some different sides that everybody seemed to be good with. If passing through, we might grab a bite again. Decent stop.

Place was almost empty. I thought the burger was excellent, my partner didn't care for his. Fries and onion rings were pretty greasy. Service was slow.

We saw the Yelp reviews and were excited to drive a little out of our way to try a local place instead of fast food. We came in and the sign read to seat ourselves, we did. Then we waited over 5 minutes without any employee glancing our way. Now we're off the Popeyes.

Drove from LA to Barstow for a meeting. I usually end up at another fast food chain off I-40. But my trust in Yelp led me to the best BLT I've had in a long time. Amber welcomed me with a smile and delivered great food and service. Add it o your secret stop on the way to Vegas.

You hungry? On the Road between Vegas and Victorville? I'd recommend paying a visit. Their burgers are tasty and mostly as described. Sometimes the spice doesn't quite hit. There are also plenty of drink options to choose from. It's not quite a dive bar, at least before 6pm (haven't been there later than that), but there is a community vibe when you walk in: several tvs featuring sports and law & order, pool tables that are $10/hour, and stocked bar. Usually 1 person, maybe two are working, so if there are more than 12 customers, it can be slow. But servers are friendly and the price is just right. If you're on the road, stop on by and take a break.

We rolled into town on a dark Saturday night. Our hotel was another 130 miles across the Mojave Desert with few eateries beyond Barstow. Where do we eat? Pit Stop. We scanned our choices in town. Saw two we ate in before. Bar B Que spoke to our cravings. Pit Stop had good reviews. We found it. A true community center. Dart game teams and schedules, ditto for pool. Other notices on the hallway board too. The Bar is a neighborhood center too. Cool touches, regulars. All quiet and nice. Clean restrooms. At least the men's. If the men's is clean I'm sure the women's is fine. Service friendly and good. We split a pulled pork, ate. the mountains of fries, drank our ice tea and water. We hoped to hear the band. They got really well tuned. We left.

This is the best burger and wings you can get in Barstow and I've had a few. My gripe is the service lacks because they are always low on staff and the chile isn't really spicy as advertised... but hey maybe others feel differently... it's a fun vibe, but the service could use a lift and this place would be much more closer to epic. I would really give this place a 3.8 but they get the round up because I'm not in the business of screwing over... Happy Eating!

First time here and the service was very nice the decor was very simple and the vibe was very chill. The food was delicious especially the wings . The burger was okay it wasn't the best but it was good . I went there for the drinks and they also got a pool table . I like that they also have outdoor seating also if you want to enjoy the outdoor dining. If you haven't been here before you should check this spot out

My wife and I travel frequently between our home in SoCal and our property Arizona. We found this place on our last trip. Stopped for lunch and we're pleasantly surprised. The decor, service, food were excellent. Also my wife said "cleanest restrooms she had ever seen"! Definitely our go to stop on our future trips.

Local joint here in barstow. Everyone coming in seems to know each other so it was a good vibe. We had the patty melt, western burger and the classic burger and all chose 1/3lb patty. Pretty big patty. It came with fries. Pretty good burger. Juicy and tasty and the onion rings were crispy. Service was friendly and the food came out at a decent time.

Stopped in yesterday while staying at the RV park at the USMC barstool logistics based on recommendation from Yelp. We are pretty surprised when we pulled in at 1400 that parking lot was fairly full, and walking in most tables were taken. Tiffany, the bartender was not only taking care of the bar but all of the tables as well. I must say she did a terrific job, balancing it all. After the menu, we decided on a cold and frosty beer, due to the temperature, and our meals. My wife went with their grilled cheese and loaded tots while I decided on their green chili burger with a side of loaded tots and slaw. It took a little bit for our meals to come out, probably because of how busy they were. It turned out that three of the big tables seem to be all together as one. When they left, it emptied out fairly quickly. Our meals were delicious. The loaded tots were spectacular! If you only have time to visit one place in Barstow, I would recommend this Pit Stop Bar and Grill!

We are SO GLAD we found this place! The service was beyond expectations and the food was 100 out of 10! Yes 100!!! The ambience was way better than expected! We were on a 10 hour drive home and we were craving a burger but not fast food! I wish we lived closer my wings were cooked exactly how I liked them. And we didn't ask for any special request! It was like they knew what and how we like our burgers and wings. Great job to all who welcomed us in!

Ordered the western smash burger with tater tots. So incredibly delicious!!! Dined with others who ordered the onions rings, which were also delicious.

Great locals place that treats travelers right! Great food and outstanding service. Definitely worth trekking through Barstow to get to!

Good clean establishment, had the Frisco burger and a Michelada. Overall it was good. Good customer service. Menu is limited to a few burger options and sandwiches.

Nice little dive bar. Bartender was super nice, and was able to make our drinks no problem. Food was ok, I didn't car to much for my sandwich but my fiances BLT was pretty good. They also had some decorations for Halloween, so was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend coming here if your in the area.

Have been here twice now. Absolutely love their garlic Parmesan wings! I tried the Frisco burger, onion rings and slaw. Atmosphere and ambiance are great as are the food, drinks and service!

I was passing through on a roadtrip and really enjoyed my lunch. The server had about 9 tables and handled it well on her own. I had the sourdough BCA melt with tater tots. It was delicious! Server did a great job too. The ambiance was a cool rustic vibe.

Seriously, if you are driving through Barstow, take an extra 15 minutes and go to the Pit Stop! A local place, not a chain, not crappy rest stop food. Some of the best chicken sandwiches we've ever had. Tater tots were spectacular. And even more so if you're traveling with your dog. People smile when you walk in with a dog. Classic bar atmosphere, well worth the short drive off highway.

Amazing. We pulled up between Vegas and LA because we heard they were dog-friendly (and they are!) We were seated and right after we ordered there was a huge earthquake . Fortunately, no one was hurt and nothing was damaged! Server was incredibly patient and helpful with our kids and dog, and I would recommend this spot. Food was good too, but overshadowed by the quake!

Found this place on Yelp looking for chicken wings, did not disappoint. Garlic Parmesan and tater tots were a hit. Good flavor, good crunch and pure deliciousness. The atmosphere is good, kid friendly and supports our military. The service was good as well.

Okay... sorry I did not have my phone available for a picture or two of the great lunch we were served! This place was great! As always we are traveling with a dog, in fact 2 dogs this trip so the Yelp search was for a pet friendly lunch stop in Barstow. We hit the JackPot here. Not only were they dog friendly, they did not ban us to the shady patio, we enjoyed the AC and caught up on the ball game! We each ordered something different so we can promise you that the cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and the BLT are great! My BLT had thick, perfectly crispy applewood smoked bacon. IT WAS AWESOME!!! The hatch chili laced burger was also a big fan favorite! Don't blow by this place. It was worth the trip!

On our way back home from Vegas and saw this place on yelp. Was hesitant when we walked in because we were one of the only ones in there. But it was very clean. The beer was cold and the food was amazing. Bartender was great and attentive.

We were on a road trip to CA when we came upon Pit Stop Bar and Grill. We were very pleased with the service and food. I had the classic hamburger and hubby had the cowboy burger and they were awesome. Staff were very friendly. We stopped again on our way home. It was so nice to have a restaurant we could count on for great food. Will stop here again when in the area.

We stopped here on our way across country with our two small dogs. Not only was the food and service excellent, but they accommodated our dogs and even brought them a bowl of water. I had a BLT and it was probably the largest one I've ever had with lots and lots of bacon. The onion rings were excellent as well.

Stopped here on our way back from Las Vegas and we were not disappointed! The had minor issues like we my husband is gluten intolerant and he ordered a hamburger so instead of a bun he asked for extra lettuce it was a surprise when we saw the 1.25 charge for the lettuce! So having the bread was cheaper? Also, kinda sucked that we weren't informed of the extra charge. The bacon on the burger was a bit dry, but it was still yummy! I had a pulled pork sandwich with rye coleslaw on top with a side of tater tots and that was so good! They give you a bit of pull pork it fell off my sandwich! The third person with us had wings and fries the presentation looked great and he ate all 12 wings. I guess he enjoyed his meal? :) also, props to the server who was alone managing a bunch of people on her own and she still was lovely to us and everyone else she encountered.

Great food and great service. I'll make sure I always stop by on the way to Vegas. Oh they also have $1 wing Wednesday!!

Great place to hang out and have a drink. Food is surprisingly very good. Wings and burgers are a must have here. I found it cool they serve tots as an optional replacement for regular fries.

We were just passing through Barstow and needed a quick dinner. The outside looked pretty rough, but the inside was very clean and inviting. Desi was the bartender - she was friendly and the service was good. We had the chili and the green chili quesadilla. Both were pretty good!

I love a good dive bar dinner. Actually stopped here as a pit stop (ironically) after a long day of driving and a nice beer and fries were just what i needed. The waitress was really kind and chatted with us for a while too.

I ordered a patty melt and it was so salty that I couldn't eat it! The cook must have dropped a ton on that burger! My husband had a grilled cheese sandwich and ended up giving me half so I had something to eat. There are plenty of places in the area to grab lunch while driving to Las Vegas! Pass this place by!!

Stopped in for a quick bite with dogs on the way back to LA. The lady server was very friendly and she made a special section for me and my dogs to dine since the patio was closed die to the weather. The food was great, asked for extra raw onions on my sandwich and they gave very generous portion for two people. It was after lunch hours so very quiet and less crowded. I would definitely go back and order their sandwich again. Good service and great food, I wish LA has this kind of laidback place nearby.

I've gone here three times total and all three times the food has been delicious. I'm from NM so it was a delight to see that they have some genuine spicy HATCH green chile. Their fries taste just like homemade kinda like In-N-Out but thicker which I love. I've only gotten burgers so far but if the flavor profile of their burgers is any indicator I'd wager to say that the rest of the food is just as flavorful. I would've added a picture of the burger but I ate it too fast haha. The service and the atmosphere are also perfect.

Really wanted to like this place. Saw all the great reviews on Yelp and thought "wow"! In Barstow? A cool bar with great food? I'm going! So after driving an extra 2 hours from AZ because they are open until MIDNIGHT on Thursday nights, Rolled in at 8:45PM and found a very disappointing draft beer selection ( sorry, Bud Light is not really a beer) but decided to order a bottled IPA so I could enjoy some of that great food. As soon as I got my beer I asked for a menu....."oh, the kitchen is closed!" WHaaaaaTt? It's not even 9 yet! I have an idea....HOW ABOUT MAKING THAT CLEAR? Really disappointing. BTW. This would have been a 1 star review except for the fact that the employees were really nice, even though they were obviously trying to clean up and go home. I suggest you call before heading over if it's less than THREE HOURS before closing EDIT: Found out the actual closing time is 11:00pm. Hey Amber. How about you update the hours and and make it clear what any potential customers can expect? Or don't. Oh. And definitely Tacos at the Baby Shower. EDIT 2- actually worked out better because I went to In N Out and had a Wayyyyy better burger for 1/3 the price. Upgraded from 2 stars to 3. Because that's what a hamburger is all about.

Passing through from OC to Las Vegas. Needed to charge at Walmart nearby. The food, atmosphere and service were amazing. Good to know there is a great spot next a big bank of chargers are Walmart.

Kitchen was down so just sandwich and canned chili available. Mediocre and expensive. We'll be back for burgers when the kitchen is fixed.

Great service and burgers. The Tri tip chili on the Cowboy burger was excellent. Everything our group tried was very good.

The food is delicious and the bartender,Destiny, is amazing. We were visiting from out of town and found the pit stop by chance. Right away Destiny made us feel like regulars, even though this was our first visit. I recommend the pit stop bar and grill to everyone.

My husband and I got the 1/3lb frisco Burger Recommended by our lovely waitress. It was so delicious we both enjoyed it. Flavors were all there. Food was hot and very tasty. The restaurant was clean and had a really nice and relaxed vibe.

We stopped on reviews. An amazing food and drink pit stop. I had the patty melt, it was melt in your mouth. I'm very picky being from the Midwest. Stop at this pit stop, don't drive by.

What a fun place! We were traveling to Barstow to meet up with our son and daughter who we're heading to Disneyland from Utah. Because they had their black lab in tow I called ahead to see if the Pit Stop could accommodate dogs. I was answered with a cheerful "yes, come on in!!" When we arrived the server/bartender greeted us all warmly and quickly got us seated in a comfy cool spot where the dog would be comfy too. She greeted Shadow and told us all about her dogs who were escape artists. She took our drink order, made some food and appetizer suggestions for our group. I ordered a lemon drop martini. She told me that she makes hers a little different and adds pineapple. I decided to try her version and it was very refreshing. She even brought me a little extra vodka. The food was served hot and delicious. Our table had the Mac and cheese bites and onion rings to start. Then I ordered the quesadilla with brisket. It was delicious! My husband decided on the pulled pork sandwich which he thoroughly and rapidly devoured. The others had hamburgers which were served hot and juicy. We all enjoyed the warm hospitality, quick friendly service, and hot delicious food! We will be sure to visit again on our next trip!
