I'll cut to the chase here, I'm giving Pita Grill 3 stars for a few reasons, but the biggest being customer service, or should I say lack of. When we walked in, no one said a word to us. They saw us, and said NOTHING. Being that it was our first time here, we didn't know how it worked. I asked if we order here or sit down, he told us to sit. (No hello, how are you, welcome, nothing!)
We sit down and are handed menus. Ten minutes go by, no one greets us, yet several workers passed us by. Finally, the gentleman that sat us asked if someone has been over, which we reply no. Side note, there were only 2 tables in the restaurant, so not busy at all! He sends over a server and she only speaks Spanish, which neither I or my girlfriend speak. Okay, not a problem, she'll understand me.
I order a small hummus appetizer, and 2, TWO, falafel wraps. The hummus came out with pita bread. In my opinion the hummus was good and the bread was alright, nothing spectacular. However, my girlfriend was pissed claiming, "who serves paper with hummus." (She said it was important that I mention that as she is a pita bread connoisseur lol) she felt that the pita bread was extremely thin and tasted like cardboard.
Almost ready to get up and leave due to the completely aloof staff and mediocre food, the falafel wrap comes out. A falafel wrap, one falafel wrap. Even if you don't speak English very well, I'm certain that saying two and holding up two fingers is universal! Oh well, it was better that way since my girlfriend hated the pita. We cut the wrap in half and split it. I will say that their falafel was delicious, but I would not drive 12 miles again for this.
Our server literally never came back to the table to check if everything was alright, if we needed drinks, etc. after waiting and waiting, I finally get up to ask for a box for the leftover hummus and the check. She gives me the box, no check. I realize I have to go to the front to pay.
As I'm paying, which again awful customer service, I notice baklava and decide to order two pieces Togo. They are really small pieces and I'm not sure how much it costs. My total was $17 including tip, so couldn't be too expensive. I will say the baklava was the best part of this experience.
Overall, I was completely disappointed with the service and as I said the food is okay, nothing that I would crave and have to come back for!
I didn't even really take pictures because I was pretty frustrated. Sadly, not an enjoyable visit, and definitely not a good first impression.
