Pita Hut Miami Beach - Review - Miami Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"It's hard to find food in Mid-Beach that isn't located in a pricey hotel restaurant. But Pita Hut—a casual kosher spot serving hummus, falafel, and good pita sandwiches—is a reliable option. The best thing to get here is one of the pita sandwiches, which come stuffed with shawarma, schnitzel, falafel, and more. It's just what you want after a long day at the beach—or just a long day trying (and failing) to find parking on Collins. They have a big dining room, but the wooden furniture isn't terribly comfortable, so treat this as a takeout spot." - Ryan Pfeffer

Pita Hut just simply gets the job done. The food is not expensive, and it’s not incredible, but it tastes good, it came really quickly, and the staff was really nice and helpful. They always refilled our water, we got unlimited salad bar, the shawarma was solid, and the French fries were excellent. This restaurant does its job perfectly and fills its role to a T. So you know exactly what to expect and you can expect to receive exactly what you’re expecting. You can see my plate is empty because I happily ate everything on it. What are you waiting for? Go get some shawarma bro

We’ve eaten at this restaurant before and absolutely loved it. We even left five glowing reviews a year ago because the food was so fresh and flavorful. That’s exactly why my wife and I came back again for a late lunch after work. Sadly, this time was a major letdown. Even before ordering, we asked the server about the freshness of the laffa bread. She reassured us it had just come out, but when we received it, it was cold, stale, and fell apart like it had been frozen and just defrosted. It was anything but fresh. The hummus was extremely salty, to the point that I’m still burping from it hours later. The fries were clearly not homemade. You could taste that they were frozen and processed. Nothing sat well. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we’ve had a disappointing experience here since that great visit last year. We really wanted to give it another chance, but this time it was just too far gone. It pains me to write this because I genuinely want to support kosher places in our community. I still believe this restaurant has potential. The food used to be amazing. I truly hope the owners read this and take it to heart. We came back with high hopes and left very disappointed. I’m leaving one of the old photos from our previous visit here so you can see how good it used to be. I sincerely hope they find their way back to that quality.

My favorite go-to for authentic Israeli food. Always excellent. Last time they had the grilled hot pepper, that made my whole day! Delicious and real. Service is always great. Servers are sweet and friendly. Owner/manager is a sweetheart, feels like family. Welcoming. That place really feels like home. I recommend the humus/pita and the lamb skewers with Israeli salad, red cabbage, matbuha, t’hina, grilled hot pepper, in pita. It’s always consistent, fresh, and so tasty!! Enjoy!!

Ordered some items from the kid menu for my daughter the soup was extremely salty and for a “burger” all they served was a bun and overcooked burger without any tomato lettuce onions sauce etc…. Ridiculous for the price

First time here was back in 2015. I was on vacation in US from Brazil. 10 years later we have moved to Miami and Pita Hut brought me back sweet memories. Food is great and service awesome. I don’t know why people would give 1 star rate. I’m coming back regularly now that we live so close to the restaurant. Thank you Tal for having us today!

It is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST Israeli grill there is in town! Zero doubts about it!!! The falafel are a DREAM 🛌 home made fresh every day! Good quality is incredible!!!! Must try are Romanian Kebob, Moroccan cigars and Lamb 🐑 or Beef skewers! No surprise is open since 25 years 🥰

Thank you for an amazing meal! Everything tasted great and great service contrary to other reviews! I would definitely come back for a shawarma. My wife enjoyed the humus and shawarma plate with pita. Pita was nice and toasty. We enjoyed everything thank you for the five star service! Give it a try and write em a review!

I’ve enjoyed pita hut frequently over the years but after this experience I’m not returning. My wife is in labor at the nearby hospital and I walked to get lunch for her. When I returned to the hospital we realized that they had given us the wrong sandwich. When I called I asked them to deliver a new one to which they said I would have to leave my wife and walk back to get a replacement sandwich and they could not find a way to deliver the one we had ordered even though it is not far. This is infuriating and really unfortunate. Sadly I won’t be returning anytime soon.
