Pita Hut Miami Beach - Review - Miami Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"It's hard to find food in Mid-Beach that isn't located in a pricey hotel restaurant. But Pita Hut—a casual kosher spot serving hummus, falafel, and good pita sandwiches—is a reliable option. The best thing to get here is one of the pita sandwiches, which come stuffed with shawarma, schnitzel, falafel, and more. It's just what you want after a long day at the beach—or just a long day trying (and failing) to find parking on Collins. They have a big dining room, but the wooden furniture isn't terribly comfortable, so treat this as a takeout spot." - Ryan Pfeffer

I recently visited Pita Hut in Miami Beach, and while the experience wasn’t terrible, it definitely didn’t live up to my expectations — especially given the prices. I had heard mixed things before going in, so I was curious to try it out for myself. Unfortunately, I walked away feeling that the food and overall value just didn’t match what they’re charging. The food was okay, nothing particularly bad but nothing memorable either. The flavors were pretty average, and I honestly expected more from a place with such high menu prices. For what I paid, I thought the dishes would have been more flavorful and have that fresh, standout quality you look for when dining in Miami Beach. Instead, everything felt just “fine” but not worth the premium. The service was also just okay. The staff wasn’t rude, but they also weren’t particularly attentive or friendly. It felt more like they were just going through the motions rather than creating a welcoming experience. Again, not bad, but not what I’d expect for the price point. Overall, I’d say Pita Hut is very overpriced for what you get. With so many amazing food options in Miami Beach that deliver both great flavor and value, I don’t think I’ll be rushing back here anytime soon.

A nice Israeli restaurant, it’s a bit pricey but that because it’s kosher. So if you are craving Israeli kosher food and you don’t want to drive all the way to Aventura or Hollywood, then that’ll be a good solution. We ordered the hummus ful and the shawarma plate. We wanted pitas but they stop serving sandwiches from 5pm unfortunately for some reason.

I was visiting Florida and got dinner from here on Monday night and really enjoyed, so I ordered again the following night. I got a chicken shish laffa and a few bits in I noticed the chicken was off. When I cut into a piece of the chicken, it was completely raw. I cut all the pieces and they We’re all raw. I called multiple times and no one seemed to be able to give me a resolution or refund. This is sooooo dangerous. I’m very upset!

Love this place! Pita Hut never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. The pitas are perfectly warm and stuffed generously, the meats are well-seasoned, and the sauces really bring everything together. You can tell care goes into every order. On top of that, the service is friendly and quick, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious, satisfying food that hits the spot every time, Pita Hut is the place to go!!

I had such a great experience at Pita Hut! I ordered the chicken soup and shawarma, and everything was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and so fresh. On top of that, the lady who welcomed me was so kind and made me feel right at home. It’s not just the food that makes this place special, it’s the warm and friendly atmosphere too. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Thank you for an amazing meal! Everything tasted great and great service contrary to other reviews! I would definitely come back for a shawarma. My wife enjoyed the humus and shawarma plate with pita. Pita was nice and toasty. We enjoyed everything thank you for the five star service! Give it a try and write em a review!

My favorite go-to for authentic Israeli food. Always excellent. Last time they had the grilled hot pepper, that made my whole day! Delicious and real. Service is always great. Servers are sweet and friendly. Owner/manager is a sweetheart, feels like family. Welcoming. That place really feels like home. I recommend the humus/pita and the lamb skewers with Israeli salad, red cabbage, matbuha, t’hina, grilled hot pepper, in pita. It’s always consistent, fresh, and so tasty!! Enjoy!!

We’ve eaten at this restaurant before and absolutely loved it. We even left five glowing reviews a year ago because the food was so fresh and flavorful. That’s exactly why my wife and I came back again for a late lunch after work. Sadly, this time was a major letdown. Even before ordering, we asked the server about the freshness of the laffa bread. She reassured us it had just come out, but when we received it, it was cold, stale, and fell apart like it had been frozen and just defrosted. It was anything but fresh. The hummus was extremely salty, to the point that I’m still burping from it hours later. The fries were clearly not homemade. You could taste that they were frozen and processed. Nothing sat well. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we’ve had a disappointing experience here since that great visit last year. We really wanted to give it another chance, but this time it was just too far gone. It pains me to write this because I genuinely want to support kosher places in our community. I still believe this restaurant has potential. The food used to be amazing. I truly hope the owners read this and take it to heart. We came back with high hopes and left very disappointed. I’m leaving one of the old photos from our previous visit here so you can see how good it used to be. I sincerely hope they find their way back to that quality.
