I absolutely LOVE this place! The owner is the sweetest man, and his food is incredible. I've been to so many shawarma spots, but none have felt like a home-cooked, fresh meal with high-quality meat. Both the chicken and beef wraps were great. The seasoning on the fries was perfect, and the wrap was so juicy. Highly recommend

Google
The guy behind the counter is, in fact, as others have said very nice. But the restaurant is not clean. The bathroom was very dirty, I wanted this hole in the wall place to be amazing, but it kind of missed. The lamb was the best. The pita bread was good, and the sauce was great as well. The rice had an over whelming tap water taste, so I would just order a double of the veggies. The beef was dry, get lamb instead. Meat quanity was low on all the dishes we had. The service was amazing by the guy, and he had a great smile.

Google
Definitely one of the more affordable Greek restaurants I've been to. The guy running the joint was very nice and helpful when it came to ordering. There was a bit of a communication issue. Overall I really enjoyed all of the food and experience. One critique would be the quantity of meat on the pitas. I believe a little more meat on the pitas would create happier customers even if it added to cost.

Google
This is a perfect example of a hole in the wall restaurant with absolutely delicious and affordable food. I would highly recommend that everyone give Pita King a try...

Google
The food was amazing! It came out quickly and smelled divine. Prices are pretty good, especially for the portions. The meat is flavorful and the rice is delicious too. The gyros are deconstructed, so that’s one thing to point out. Me and my boyfriend rated the food 8.5. Perfect to take out for a picnic! 😊

Google
A husband and wife run this sweet establishment, and it’s honestly one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in the greater Atlanta area because of them. It’s straight forward, made from scratch food with fresh ingredients. The falafel is cooked in oil that is not cross contaminated, and so it’s super vegetarian friendly. Their Greek salad is amazing. Their baklava is amazing. And their hospitality is amazing. A must visit.

Google
The Pita King title is earned! The food is great, the hummus is so smooth and rich I want to drink it, the grilled veggies were fantastic as was the gyro plate I had them with. Definitely will be back.

Google
Love this hole in the wall restaurant. It just shows you, looks aren’t everything !! Food was delicious, service great and overall fantastic experience. Highly recommend. Finally found some good Mediterranean food near my house.

Yelp
Use to go here years ago, and the food was always good. The chicken shawarma and chicken gyro both pitas and platters are my go to. Decided to order delivery since it has been a while. The food arrive fast, fresh, and was delicious. I ordered the chicken shawarma pita and veggie side with a side of tzatziki sauce and was not disappointed.

Yelp
The Man was very nice. I just didn't care for the food. The pita was a little tough and there just wasn't enough protein. I felt cheated. We had 2 chicken shawarma meals and we both felt the same way. Lots of veggies with little chicken gave the shawarmas a cold sandwich feel. I wish them the best.

Yelp
Pita King is a delicious hole in the wall. Their Baklava and Shawarma is so so good. I would eat pita king for the rest of my life if I had to choose one restaurant, no lie.

Yelp
Well the place inside isn't eye candy...however I found holes in the walls can be good eating and this place didn't disappoint. The owner was friendly however he didn't speak a lot of English, yet he understood enough to accommodate our request for extra sauce.50 cents each. I read a previous review that mentions he only gives you 3 pieces of gyro meat and that's exactly true!! Besides that, the gyro was freshly made and ended up being delicious and I didn't miss the extra meat because I was able to eat the whole sandwich and not waste it because of too much meat. I will return.

Yelp
The food is amazing! The owner is incredibly friendly. The place may not look the best from the outside, but the food is certainly of superb quality!

Yelp
I love this place. Every time I get a chance to be on this side of town, I stop in for an extra spicy falafel sandwich and fries with tzatziki. The inside is very clean, and the service is always with a smile and super fast. I try falafel anywhere I can find it, and this is the best this side of town, hands down. You have to try them. You won't be sorry!

Yelp
Great little joint. A hidden gem. Reasonable price and good food. Owner is very personable.

Yelp
I happened to be in the area, had to see if this would be the place to set the tone for what a real yeero/GYRO is supposed to taste like. Nabil, shop owner was very kind. Customer service was really pleasant. I was shown a menu and decided to go with the traditional GYRO and it was amazing! Meat was fresh, and juicy. The fries, were cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. Pita King owns up to it's name. The ambiance secluded, but full of surprise!

Yelp
This mediterranean food is the best in the area. Everything all the reviews say are true. You can call ahead and it will be ready to pick up. Don't expect it to be fast food, because it is freshly made and it is delicious.

Mike H.

Yelp
I got 3 small slices of meat on my gyro. I had twice as much lettuce. I'd rather pay a buck or two more to get a proper portion. The person I spoke to barely speaks English. I will never return. A shame, because I pass by 3-4 × a week. The ingredients tasted good but I've never had a gyro with so little meat. 0 stars if I could.
google avatar

Yelp
The sweetest man working here! Always authentic and fresh food. Cannot get better service anywhere, and it's 100% halal

Yelp
This is an outstanding restaurant. The thing you need to know about Pita King is the obvious care they take in preparing the food, the freshness of all the produce, and the authentic flavor of the food. This is a family owned/run business, they do all the work and make up the entire staff. I've had the gyro and gyro plate, the chicken shawarma, greek salad, gyro salad, hummus, babaganoush, and a regional cheese based dip called Labanee in their sampler that was equally delicious with pita bread. Their seasoned fries are to die for. If you're like me and will keep eating after you're not longer hungry and are looking for portion control, you'll find Pita King's portions just enough food, you won't be filling the dog bowl, or throwing food in the trash, but it's just enough food to finish it all and be satiated. My wife works in a commercial kitchen, and has been for 20 years, and even when I'm looking toward a different middle easter cuisine, she tells me "no, go to my Pita King". This is not a fancy place, but don't let that fool you, you're going to get fresh, delicious, mediterranean / middle eastern cuisine, prepare with the utmost care.

Yelp
I stopped to get us lunch one day and wanted to try Pita King. Looks like a run down building with dry cleaner attached. Ordered at window since inside not open to public for some reason. Guy said it would be 20 minutes. So much for fast food. Food was just ok, wouldn't go out of my way to wait 20 min again

Sam K.

Yelp
Hummus is very good. The Quantity could be little more . His falafel size is very small for the price. For 60 cents u get the same in Mediterranean bakery in tucker Chicken shawarma is very bad. falafel wrap is very nice and excellent I have been eating middle eastern food for decades including countries in the middle east. The owner needs to know how to take feedback. We told him in very friendly way that shawarma is not good. He just does not want to accept it and gives all weird reasons. Chicken shawarma is dry its 70% lettuce and remaining unseasoned bland chicken.

Yelp
Very okay Middle Eastern take-out during Covid19. - -. Ambiance is HITW drive thru. Place looked like a fast food chain that has seen better times. They are operating the drive thru only but you drive up to the window to order and pick up. There is NO menu posted nor touchless ordering in line. I called ahead based on their 5* Yelp rating and was only picking up. They do NOT wear masks, gloves but do offer touchless pay (Apple Pay). +. Food was underwhelming. I decided to wait and nuke it prior to consumption. I was craving Middle Eastern and was thrilled to find PK when I visited north Kennesaw. I tried their shish tawook roll. While it had a good balance of chicken and veggie content, it was bland. Pita was soft and had nice texture. It didn't include any sauce (garlic, tahini or yogurt). I'm used to having some included already but perhaps I should have asked. = Price was reasonable but little value for my flavorless sammie. +. Service was friendly and cheerful. I'm thankful that many restos are open as I begin to venture into take-outs during C19. I do wish they practiced Covid-19 safety measures like wearing MASKS. Over all, PK was a bit of let-down for a 5 star rated resto. Still in search of a new Middle-Eastern since Alladin's closed. MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!

Yelp
I come to Pita King every week because I cannot get enough of the Lebanee and Baba Ghanoush appetizers. All of the entrees are soooo yummy and I especially love the Pita King Gyro which has fries in it. The owner is so nice and always there and makes everything to order!

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal food. Their chicken schwarma is delicious. The food is fresh and the employees are so nice.

Yelp
Food is so good & authentic & is fresh every time. Order is always right. The guy that runs the place is great

Yelp
My hunt for good Middle Eastern food continues and this time I struck gold in northwest Georgia. Pita King doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is delicious!! I only did a carry out so I can't speak to the interior (they have a drive thru window). I had a lebaneh appetizer with warm pita bread for dipping. My entree was chicken kabob pita and a fatoosh salad that was delicious!! Best part is that it's close to home so I will certainly be a regular!! If you are in the Kennesaw / Acworth area check them out!!

Yelp
Really enjoyed my dinner here, especially the falafel. I ordered the chicken gyro plate with rice and veggies + an appetizer of falafel (4 pieces) and had everything delivered via Uber Eats. Everything was seasoned really well. Even the veggies were really flavorful. The rice was super yummy. The chicken was moist. I thought it was a good portion for ~$12. The falafel appetizer was my favorite, though. The falafel weren't dry at all. They were almost buttery. Really nice. I wish they came with a sauce. No complaints. Will definitely eat here again.

Jalyn R.

Yelp
The inside of the restaurant was closed when I visited, but the drive-thru was open to take orders. They didn't have a digital menu, so the employee provided me with a hard copy menu at the window. All the items on the menu sounded really good, but I wasn't sure what to go with as this was my first time visiting. The staff was very nice and patient with me, though. I decided on the Chicken Gyro with a side of seasoned rice and I will defiantly put this place on the list of my favs! I'm not sure what seasoning is on top, I don't think it's cheyenne pepper or paprika; it wasn't spicy at all. But the rice was steamed just right, not too sticky, and the taziki sauce on the gyro was a perfect combination with the chicken and vegetables.

Yelp
Love this place! Friendly owners and great food at reasonable prices!! Stop by and you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Had the traditional gyro. Lots of shredded lettuce, tomato, a few slivers of gyro meat. Price - cheap. Taste - alright. There's a gyro place in Snellville that gives you tons of meat for $1 more & another place off I-20 as well. I would go to them, but both are like 50+ miles away. One guy running the restaurant. Nice, friendly guy.

Yelp
If I had to be honest, I was a bit skeptical about this place at first but after eating here for the first time yesterday, I can't wait to go back! The food is so delicious and the owner is so accommodating and friendly. Definitely recommend!!!

Yelp
Wow. I'm impressed and so grateful to find this place by my house! It's delicious! We just moved from California, so I've had my share of Mediterranean food. I've also been to Egypt, and I must say, this place is almost or as good as the food I had there!! I have gotten the falafel sandwich twice now (falafel in a pita. I ask for them to also add taziki sauce). So good! They make their falafel balls perfectly. The sandwich alone without a side is under $7. And it's filling! I love the pickled onion in it! The man who runs it is so so sweet. He doesn't speak a lot of English, and I've heard some ignorant people be mean to him. Please be nice and warm to this sweet man, working hard. I'm grateful to have stumbled on his restaurant! The outdoor patio is great for a summer evening.

Yelp
Love the food and run restaurants. So quick and delicious. Love the drive threw ... Thank you for always giving great service even during COVID

Yelp
Finally i came to this hole in the wall place! I heard some good reviews about it plus I like Mediterranean! Place is clean, organized. Nice customer service. I had the Shwarma sandwich with fries. Tastes fresh! Good! I'll come back for more. I can see why this place is becoming popular.

Yelp
The definition of hole-in-the-wall. Amazing food and super affordable. Everything is good and produce fresh.

Yelp
Very good. We ordered gyro, chicken gyro, mixed gyro, and gyro salad. All were happy with what they got. Full size pitas at inexpensive price. Place looks quite run down from outside. Food was fresh and tasted great. Would recommend to others.

Yelp
Nasty, unsanitary, beware!!!! Could use a whole new makeover. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant for my animals
google avatar

Yelp
Authentic, flavorful, and a lot of meat. The garlic spread is a must, order extra! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Very kind and hospitable owner. The food was delicious. I recommend the Chicken Gyro.

Yelp
This place is fantastic especially if you're vegan I wouldn't go for the garden burger out of the box I read the ingredients they are not great but you can ask them to grill a bunch of vegetables instead of meat! We ordered: On the Grill: onions, mushrooms, tomato, green bell pepper, and roasted red peppers Inside pita RAW Plain hummus smeared everywhere lettuce, spinach, black olives, corn, Black beans, shredded carrots, pickles, Mayo & Balsamic vinaigrette It was fantastic!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Outside looks kind you might need a tetanus shot before entering but the taste of the food can't be disputed. Pretty good value also

Yelp
Took a friend's Facebook recommendation & ordered pickup from GrubHub, & the food did not disappoint. From order to pickup was approximately 25 minutes & well worth the wait. I had the veggie wrap, an appetizer order of falafel, & an appetizer order of hummus. All great flavors!

Yelp
Delicious gyros We had the Pita King Gyro stuffed with gyro meat, fries and tzatziki sauce. This is definitely a must try spot!

Yelp
I don't write many reviews because usually, a meal doesn't leave enough of an impression on me to do so, but I have to for Pita King. This place has been on my radar for a few months after seeing the reviews but there's a Mediterranean place much closer where we typically eat. We took a shot last night because we had a coupon for Uber Eats and WOW! We ordered a gyro plate, beef schwarma plate, falafel appetizer, and extra pita and sauces. First off, this is the first place I've discovered in Georgia that actually has toum (a Lebanese whipped garlic sauce), a staple when eating schwarma. Everything was excellent. The seasoning / flavor of both the gyro and schwarma was the best I've had outside of the Detroit/Dearborn area. The rice and vegetables were well-seasoned and a perfect pairing for the meats. On top of that, the prices are excellent for the serving size you get. This will be my new go-to for pitas/gyro/schwarma. Great stuff!

Jaye P.

Yelp
Pita king always delivers their best. The food is top tier every time and they are so incredibly kind every time they serve you. Currently they're only available with drive thru but it doesn't not take away from the experience at all. Highly recommend their falafel, I'm a vegetarian and it's so good.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent what else can I say. Great small business to support and love the food and owner.

Yelp
No enlish spoken here. They got my order wrong. I gave them another chance. This time I said TWICE very clearly what I wanted. It sounded like he said it back to me. And they got it wrong again. I'm done. Its not worth it.

Yelp
Hole in the wall places are my absolute favorite. And this place didn't disappoint. Pita king is located off of Cobb parkway next to a dry cleaners. If you look at it from the outside it looks cute and not where you would expect a delicious restaurant to be located. We found this gem when we were on our way to drop off our dog at a friend's to dog sit for the weekend, and boy are we glad we did. Otherwise I don't think this place would have ever stood out to us. My fiancé was hesitant at first to give this place a try. He is very much a creature of habit, but after a little convincing and whining on my part lol, he finally succumbed to my pleading. We ate a super early dinner, a little after 5, and the place was empty. I'm glad but it wasn't a good sign to my fiancé. The sweet girl at the front counter greeted us, and answered all of my Fiancé's questions about Mediterranean food. After about 5 different questions she gave us a more detailed menu lol. We opted for the gyro salad for me and he chose the shawarma chicken which was highly recommended. We LOVED both and cleaned our plates. The gyro salad came with deliciously cooked meat, onions, cucumber, Mozzarella cubes, tomatoes, olives and lettuce. The only thing I wish was different is that if my salad had more lettuce. There was a ton of meat, and not enough lettuce in my opinion but everything was so good that a 5 star rating is still deserved. It also came with a Greek dressing and Taziki sauce that were both yummy. As for the chicken shawarma, the chicken was very well cooked and juicy, the seasoning was superb, and I loved that they pressed the pita. Overall, this whole in the wall place won us over and when we are back in town, we will most definitely be back. Clean, great service, delicious food, overall a winner and well deserving of its wonderful reviews.

Yelp
Small mom and pop business and they food is good. I usually get the Greek salad and I am always happy with it.

Yelp
This place earns its 5 star review in every way. I am picky about Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. My review history shows I have eaten in a lot of ME restaurants. I rarely have anything good to say about their falafel or baba ghanoush because I almost never find good versions of these in the US. But Pita King, with its gas station entrance charm (seriously, don't be put off) is excellent - maybe in the running for the best I've had in ATL. I ordered takeout and watched as they cooked everything from scratch. That means it's not fast, but everything is so hot, fresh, well-plated, and actually perfect. The rice is even a standout. But the grilled veggies, baba ghanoush, falafel, hummus, and chicken shawarma are truly outstanding. Like, I'd bathe in the hummus good. And they know the difference between shawarma and just grilled chicken. I'm drooling now. If they weren't closed now I'd be on my way for pickup. I suggest calling ahead because of the time it took, but my food was piping hot and amazing and worth the wait!

Yelp
Found this gem while attending a training at Northstar Church. We went at 11am and the Pita King was there running the restaurant alone. He took our order, and then the people behind us, then the drivethru orders, then got to working on all the food. If there's a lot going on, it's worth the wait. Best Pita I've had in a very long time. Huge. The fries were great too but once I ate the pita, I didn't have room for much more. Try this place !!

Chad C.

Yelp
Very good food. The gyro plate is good quality and plenty of food. With rice, veggies, and fries for sides.

Yelp
This is definitely the best shawarma I had in Atlanta, both beef and chicken are amazing and a must try also the falafel is very authentic and super delicious even better than the one I had in Egypt. The people who run the place are very sweet, professional and kind. Great food, awesome service and a happy environment what else could I ask for, definitly worth a visit every time I'm in town.

Yelp
I gotta give some mad love to pita king. I had the most amazing falafel appetizer. I called ahead with my order and had it in no time. Absolutely the best falafel I have ever had!! My son loves the lamb gyro and I'm going back for a big order of pita king for Friday!
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken shwarma with 2 extra garlic sauces are my go to here. The flavors are so good, and enough for 2 meals for me. The babaganoush is very tasty as well. The garlic sauce is like crack, it's irresistible and you can't get enough.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. The father daughter team are so sweet, and happy for the business. We try to make it there when we go to the area. I usually get the Falafel Sandwich. Hummus is great. My kids the Beef Shawarma, and they go crazy for it. The food is so tasty. The price is the best I've ever seen. $10 average/per person. Compared to others...they are the best. They go all out for the guests and that I truly appreciate. If you are in the area, I highly recommend it.

Yelp
COVID Note: No masks :( however, they're drive thru only :) I did not see the staff wearing face masks or gloves when greeting customers or preparing food. I'm not sure what the hand-washing protocol is (at times, it's better to wash hands than the false security gloves may provide) so they might've been so good with that and I just didn't see it from my peek through the drive thru window. The outdoor curbside delivery/drive thru window delivery might have convinced them that masks aren't necessary but that's the one thing I don't budge on like, masks are so necessary when in contact with anyone outside your household. I felt a bit uncomfortable and I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon until they at least wear masks which I reallllllly hope they do because my food was great! Ordering - place your order online! I tried calling ahead to order because I was a 15-20 minute drive away. I asked if I could place a to-go order for their lamb gyro and also double checked their gyro didn't contain beef since it wasn't clear on the online ordering page on their website. The man assured me that the gyro didn't have beef in it and I appreciated that since I don't eat beef or pork. However, I wasn't sure if my order was actually placed or not and I was already on the road. The man repeatedly said "that's fine" and "yeah"s so I thought the order was placed. I had told the woman on the phone earlier I was looking to place a to-go order but it was switched over to the man so I assumed they communicated between them. In hindsight, I should've just ordered online. When I arrived, an employee was so nice to point me to the drive thru entrance which is a bit unclear from their set up. Turns out my order hadn't been placed so I placed an order there and waited in the parking lot, which wasn't a problem since I wasn't in a rush or anything. I advise that you place an order on their website since I saw others picking up orders upon arrival. The food: I ordered the gyro. Delicious!! 5 stars :) I am SO thrilled that there is a gyro place nearby that has pure lamb gyro. I used to go to Basil Wraps in Kennesaw which had phenomenal lamb gyros ($9-$10), huge and stuffed so full I had to eat the rest with a fork. This gyro is smaller but filled nicely with gyro lamb meat, yogurt, shredded lettuce, and more. A perfect sized serving and priced SO WELL for the quality of food you get ($6). I loved the flavor and quality of the ingredients it was so satisfying and tasty. Due to safety concerns, I microwaved it before eating (30 seconds at max settings, probably not enough idk) which gave my food the perfect temperature! I guess the 20 min drive back home cooled it down so much that I needed that reheat. I highly recommend this dish! Every other restaurant I checked within a 20 mile radius did not serve pure lamb gyro (except Taziki's but their lamb gyro wasn't true gyro like Pita King's is), and only served "gyro meat" which was a pre-mixed beef and lamb blend. Pita King is definitely where I'll go to fill my gyro craving (post-COVID or post-mask-wearing, that is). The staff: Amazing! They were all smiles and seemed very willing to help, I really appreciated their service. I don't believe they speak English well, but I was able to communicate well enough. Some other reviews seem to suggest it's impossible to talk to them but growing up in an immigrant household, I know that although communication might be hard, it's not anyone's fault so be patient and kind. I had trouble placing a call-order which was annoying but I guess it wasn't too much of a problem with me since I had the time to spare. I asked a few different ways to make sure I was understanding the response and the man was so patient and explained in a few different ways until I got it. If you're concerned about misunderstanding, maybe write out your order or definitely place an online order? They seem like great people and it's definitely a family-owned local business. I was happy to show my support today!
