Popped in on a whim on my way to the aquarium. Guy helping me was patient and kind as I had no idea what I wanted. Decided on the Beef kabob plate...oh my goodness! Meat was super tender, the hummus delicious, the salads flavorful and the marinated turnips surprisingly delicious! Quite a lot of food as you can see in picture. I'd already taken a bite of the beef before I took pic so there's a big chunk missing. Delicious 😋 highly recommend! Plus that entire plate was only 15.99. A steal in today's world. It was loud for a minute when a large crowd came in, then once everyone got their food it quieted back down.

Google
I was very surprised by how good this was. Very flavorful and decently priced for the city. The lady who served us was friendly and fast.

Ian Adams

Google
Only complaint is I feel like fattoush salad is supposed to have chips in it but everything is good and this is easily the best kofte I've had in Boston.

Makis Mato

Google
Really good food. Had the steak kebab plate. Steak was a little too well done, but the sauce they put on it helps make up for it a bit. The spicy potatoes are awesome. Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Hummus and rice were very good as well.

Peter Viscarola

Google
Fast service. Tasty, particularly the spicy potatoes (not very spicy), hummus, and babaganouj. The chicken shawarma was tasty but kinda dry. Great for a good a quick meal and something different.

Katrina Parsons

Google
Food is typically so good, but they messed up my most recent order adding hot sauce instead of garlic and forgetting the falafel I paid for… disappointed by the recent experience but typically meets the mark for lunch time food. Good quantity!

Krishna Boppana

Google
A decent Mediterranean lunch eatery, an upgrade to Falafel king. Here is tossed salad with chicken kebab. It is very fresh and simple!

Matt Neslusan

Google
Food is good quality with pleasing flavor. Service is fine. This is a perfect lunch spot that delivers on quality flavorful dishes that are easy to bring back to the office. I highly recommend this place. The baba ghanouj is exceptionally good for a fast casual place like this.

Yelp
The food is on point. Best Shawerma, flavorful and well balanced. Falafel is crispy and cooked properly soft on the inside

Yelp
Great Shawarma place. The stand out for me was the Lentil and Kale soup. It was incredible.

Yelp
Visited Pita Thyme for the first time in a while for a falafel plate with hummus, baba ganoush and tabouli. Incredibly tasty and authentic. Even the pickles were special what with their great flavor and a little bit of heat. 5 stars for the super nice staff, too.

Yelp
Pita Thyme has been great for years and I am so happy they survived Covid as one of the better takeout lunch spots downtown. It seems pricey but the amount of food you get in comparison to other Mediterranean places is incredible. The staff are always so nice and do a great job. Keep up the excellent work!

Yelp
WORMS IN FOOD.... SANITATION HAZARD!!!!! I came here because they're one of the closest places downtown with good reviews. I ordered beef shawarma and asked multiple times if it was gluten free. They just stared at me bewildered and finally said no, the beef doesn't have flour. I get this plate and it looks like there's spaghetti in the rice. As I continue eating it I notice these strings are all different sizes and I'm so grossed out and horrified. The taste of food is like a 4/10 but I'm so disgusted that I can't finish it. It's too bad because I wasted $14 and I'm just visiting Boston for a short time. Unacceptable!

Dannie W.

Yelp
Don't know why the rating here is so high. I had to come as the restaurants I wanted to go were either closed or too busy. I tried the kefta kebab pita rolled up. I won't order it again. The kebab is not flavorful at all. The whole roll is dry even though they put paste/sauce in it. Probably the worst I've tried so far. The vegetables they put inside are good though. The service is bad as the woman who helped me preparing kept talking to her coworkers and looking at the guy customer after me. Horrible experience.

Yelp
Delicious food, fast, friendly service, and generous portions. I got a falafel plate for around $12. Comes with 3 big falafel, a choice of 3 sides, and a piece of pita bread. I saw another review claiming there were worms in the food so for some reason I had to go try it myself! Ha. They aren't worms and I don't know how someone would assume they are worms. The menu literally says "vermicelli rice" and it's delicious. Everything I got was really tasty and surprisingly I couldn't finish it (a rare occurrence). The falafel probably could've been a little more crispy, but that's also tough to do without frying it once I order, and then it takes a lot longer to get my food - so I'm okay with the trade off. The hot sauce and tahini on top were perfect. I will be back because the other sides also looked tasty. Glad to have found this lunch spot!

Yelp
Love this lunch spot downtown. Best falafels in Boston (sorry Falafel King). There is always a long line at lunch but it's a good sign and it moves fast! So yummy!!!

X D.

Yelp
Pros: - the plates are good (I like the options, particularly the hummus and baba ghanouj) - the line gets pretty long at lunch time but it goes pretty quick Cons: - they don't provide enough chips for the hummus

Yelp
Quick lunch here at Pita Thyme with a middle eastern theme. Pick your base, pick your protein, pick your sides. Pretty simple, really. I chose the plate, opting for chicken and for sides, the spicy potatoes, hummus and tabouleh. I asked for added "white sauce" as well. It was quite the decent sized portion, especially since it came with pita bread too. The chicken was moist and hot, the potatoes were fried cubes with a spicy dusting on them, hummus was light and creamy, tabouleh was deliciously piquant. An excellent and inexpensive meal, especially so for a lunch on a budget. Yum!

Yelp
I actually wanted to try the Turkish restaurant next to it, but unfortunately they were closed. I decided to give this place a try. I was not disappointed. The Fattoush salad was pretty good. Definitely try their spicy potatoes. Would recommend this place!

Yelp
I don't quite understand the heaping praise for this place, as there are so many lunch options in the area serving Mediterranean food. I feel like 4 stars is generous - 3.5 is more appropriate. I ordered the kefta kebab plate, with spicy potatoes, hummus, and fattoush salad. Everything seems fresh and fairly tasty, but the kebabs and pita were dry and the kefta lacked seasoning. The fattoush salad was fine, although I would have expected pita chips on top, which is traditionally how it is served (maybe they just forgot). For me, the highlight was probably the spicy potatoes and helpful staff.

Yelp
A decent Lebanese joint in the financial district with a decent falafel and delicious wraps! The various items and the proportions they put in the wrap makes it very tasty. This place is super packed during lunch hour but the service is usually quick. They do have daily specials which is good to look forward to everyday. The plates are however huge in portion and keep you full all day long (i felt stuffed the whole day after i ordered a falafel plate for lunch). This place offers potatoes as one of the sides, which I found is different from a usual middle eastern joint.I only wish they had a couple more tables to be seated. Overall a big thumbs up for a quick bite at lunch, especially their wraps.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite spot for falafel! I love stopping by to grab lunch quickly. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. I love the falafel wrap, and appreciate all the vegetarian options. The staff is friendly, too.
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh, fast and good food. Kefka wasn't the best but I'd try the chicken next time. Sides were spot on; got the rice, spicy potatoes and taboulleh. Pita was standard but also good. Kefka plate: 4/5
google avatar

Damien S.

Yelp
I know you're probably crashing this joint for a fast shawarma wrap between brokering deals and Snapchatting naughty bits to Kelly in accounting, but if you can save room for the delicate, perfectly honeyed baklava (rolled in pistachios and tubularly shaped), your day will be sweeter than that time she accidentally texted you a knuckle-biter instead of the quick delete. Yknow, the one you said you deleted. You swore you got rid of it.* Anyway, three pieces of flaky baklava for $2. Eat two, give one to that junior trader who avoids eating, because he swears he's riddled with candida. Even he'll love these things. *You didn't.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place for a quick bite and were pleased with what we got. Service was fast and efficient but they line workers could work on there customer service skills a little. The food was tasty and good quality. Would go back if I was ever in the neighborhood

Yelp
So this place makes great food. Everything I tried has been delicious. Salad kabobs are so good. I have had 2 experiences that are beginning to turn me against them though it doesn't pertain to food but customer service. The 1st incident happened last week when I went in around 11am to grab lunch before the rush and no meat was prepared. The manager suggested I wait 15 minutes which I had no time for so I just bought salad. Yesterday during a brief Boston snow they closed early @ 2pm rather than their posted hours of operation (4:30). I walked in ready to place my order just to be told "we're closed". Oh really? I would have never known by the big ass sign on the door that says they close @ 4:30 or the fact that the door was unlocked so that I could enter. Like, come ON! So pissed. Makes it worse that I walked in the rain to get food. I value quality service so I give this place 3 stars on service. I don't expect to wait 15 minutes if you've been open for an hour and no line. Food should be ready to go when the doors first open and if your hours are posted I expect to be served within that same time frame. That is not too much to ask.

Yelp
Had the chicken shawarma plate with potatoes and salad and humus. It's a nice place to grab food while at work in the financial district
google avatar

Yelp
New Mediterranean joint that opened in the financial district. This is provably a true 3.5 star joint because of the very limited seating and that this is one of those places where if you stay too long your cloths might stink of it. Well maybe it's good that there is limited seating. 50/50 Schwarma plate - Half chicken/half beef, not on the menu but can be requested at no extra charge. It came with a few sides. I had the spiced potatoes (almost like breakfast potatoes), hummus, and rice. For those not familiar with schwarma it is just a style of cooking the meat. Both the chicken and beef were very flavorful.

Yelp
With no doubt, my favorite spot for lunch in Downtown. I work only one block away so I go there several times per week. I never, NEVER, had a bad experience. On the contrary, food was always excellent. Their humus is amazing. Eating it is a pleasure, you don't want to stop. Both the chicken and the beef shawarma are excellent. If you order the plate, you can choose three sides. My recommendations are: rice, spicy potatoes (they are addictive!!) and humus. If you prefer a meatless plate, go for the falafel. The salads they prepare are so fresh. They let you pick the ingredients as well as the dressing so... you'll always be able to get the salad you had in mind. In terms of service, they are also great. They are so good and so professional. They do a really good job in ensuring everyone gets his/her order as soon as possible, so even if you walk in you will see a long line, don't worry... you won't wait for a long time... Check it out, you won't regret!

Yelp
Great shawarma sandwich, but the toom (garlic paste) was more mayonnaise like and it should be thicker with more of a punch to be authentic Lebanese. Still, not a bad place to get some lebanese food. Personally, I would not go here for the shawarma for the reason mentioned above. Since it is supposed to be spread on the pita before the ingredients come on, it is a main component of the flavor, and if it isn't right, the sandwich isn't. People unfamiliar with Lebanese cuisine won't notice, but those that are would definitely.
google avatar

Jillian K.

Yelp
Great food with generous portions! Ordered a falafel wrap & shawarma platter for takeout & it was ready in 5 minutes
google avatar

Pam C.

Yelp
When there's not much to say about a place, it's either really good or really bad, and Pita Thyme is solidly in the ladder group. Line gets pretty long during the lunch rush, but they really move people through quickly. They have shwarma and various salads, and everything is tossed in front of you. The chicken was pretty tender and overall the shwarma was really tasty. Portions are pretty generous and prices are reasonable (things range from $7 to a little over $10) Really delicious and awesome for a quick lunch. Inside seating is pretty limited though, especially when most of the tables are blocked by people waiting in line. Definitely a grab and go place.

Yelp
Just ordered from the north andover location... had the beef shawarma wrap and my wife the chicken shawarma plate w rice, potatoes and hummus. It was a great experience and much needed in this area. The depth of flavor on all the food was amazing and We will be frequent customers!

Ingrid S.

Yelp
We Just ordered for the first time at the North Andover Site. Awesome food Fast Delivery Just great!!!
google avatar

Stephenie B.

Yelp
I have two words for you FALAFEL PITA ROLL UP....okay well that's four words. But man the falafel here is the best that I have had in a long time....the falafel is not dry like some but smooth like butter. And then they put these pickled turnips in the roll which gives it a nice kick. Their roll ups are HUGE! And for $5.99 for a falafel one you definitely get what you paid for. Now the line is kind of confusing because everybody wants to go there it seems....but it will be worth it. They also have salads and other sides that are awesome. So just try this place out!

Dan B.

Yelp
Awesome!! A welcome compliment to local middleastern food. Healthy fast orderEd double protein without double cost. Was in and out in five minutes and they made the food as I watched. Side of hummus was almost double what I get in market for a buck more. I'll be back!!!!

Yelp
My friend and I were trying to go to Casa Razdora on the same block but stopped as soon as we saw the line stretching out the door. There was a substantial line inside Pita Thyme as well but it moved quickly despite my friend's server doing her best impression of sleep-serving. We both got the kefta kebab plates and agreed that while the food is pretty good and reasonably priced, especially for the part of Boston we were in, we've had better. The meat was well-seasoned and properly grilled but the sauces were insipid - the white sauce had no tang or refreshing quality whereas the hot sauce was thin and lacking in taste. The rice seemed to have been done in a plain buttered pilaf style. The tabbouleh was fresh but also watery. The fattoush salad was good topped with crispy thin pita chips. The wheat pita was satisfyingly chewy. All in all, Pita Thyme is a decent option with a shorter and faster-moving line than some other popular lunch spots nearby and walking distance from Post Office Square.

Yelp
Easy to go in to order for take out during this pandemic. Fast and friendly workers. I got a falafel roll up and husband got the Chicken Shawarma platter with rice, potatoes, and salad. The potatoes are the right level of spice. Everything tastes great. I would highly recommend this place for vegans, vegetarians, and everyone! If I'm ever in Boston again, this will be my go to spot.
google avatar

Patricia S.

Yelp
First experience I had was a delivery through Grubhub and I thought the wraps were the best. My office just recently moved to the financial district and literally across the street from pita thyme, the place is clean and the food looks fresh. I had the chicken kabob platter with tabbouli, hummus and potatoes, I was impressed , it's the closest to homemade Lebanese food I have had so far in Boston. The portion is generous as a whole but I think they serve a lot of the potatoes and just one skewer of protein, for the price they should include 2 skewers of meat. Very busy place, however, if you wait until 1pm the line is not long.
google avatar

V O.

Yelp
I love this place as it brings Lebanese / Mediterranean to the Fast Casual market. Depending on what your tastes are like, you can go Chicken Kabob all the way to falafel all the while mixing in some chicken or beef shawarma that are my favorites. It's pretty easy, pick your style, PLATE, WRAP or SALAD then go from there. I love the Chicken Shawarma plate with fattoush, double hummus, and pita chips, at just over $10. What else can I say Pita Thyme is a place you can get a fantastic meal quickly! That is once you make it to the counter as lines grow quickly, but move even faster thanks to the attentive staff and owners all of whom I enjoy interacting with. FYI: Only open during the week, so if you're in town get on over to the financial district for this little piece of the middle east!
google avatar

Sheryl F.

Yelp
Many people have recommended and I finally tried it today at lunch. WOW. I had the falafel plate - without a doubt the BEST falafel I've had in years. Perfectly seasoned; not salty, I had hummus, spicy potatoes and fattoush salad with it. All excellent - hummus was neither too garlicky or too lemony, and again, low on salt. If you work in the financial district in Boston, run, don't walk to Pita Thyme!
google avatar

Stephanie Q.

Yelp
Pita Thyme... is one of my FAV lunch spots!!! Don't let the long lines scare you, the line moves FAST... faster than the green line. There is not much sitting space inside so I would recommend you to take out your food. PORTION SIZES: large. I am always starving like a hungry pig by the time its lunch so pita thyme does a good job of making me full without putting me to sleep. I like to eat the chicken shawarma platter, where you can choose 3 sides such as babaganoush, fried potatoes, hummus etc. You also get pita bread- white or wheat. I will be back for more PITA TIME!
google avatar

Sameer S.

Yelp
Ordered Chicken Shawarma. It was good. Restaurant was nice and clean. The staff was very courteous. Checkout was quick and easy.
google avatar

Joelle K.

Yelp
I don't know what was so different about my food, but it was no where near as good as so many other have raved. I had a falafel plate with chips and hummus, spicy potatoes and salad. I will say the potatoes were incredibly delicious, along with the sauce that comes with them. However, the falafel were very dry and tasteless and he salad very boring. The hummus was fresh, but nothing exceptional. I guess I need to try again and order differently.
google avatar

Jody S.

Yelp
This is my go-to place for lunch. It's my entire office's go-to place, actually. We love it. Not sure what you want for lunch? You want Pita Thyme. It's a good place for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. I alternate between buying a falafel plate with three sides (fattoush, rice, and hummus, though the potatoes are delicious, too) and their split-lentil soup. Hits the spot every time. All of the employees are very friendly. The portions are so big that I often have extra for a snack later in the day. The line moves incredibly quickly, so don't be intimidated if it's long!
google avatar

Prateek M.

Yelp
Pretty good food. Got the falafel plate with potatoes, chips, hummus and pita. Kind of a Bad idea considering this was a lunch in the middle of a busy work day!
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
When 12 noon rolls around (let's be serious...it's more like 1 p.m.), what does my mind turn to and say? It's Pita Time!!! Ohhhh wait no, more like: It's Pita Thyme!!! This place is a gem full of delicious goodies and a large, friendly staff. Even with the legendary Boston Kebab House looming behind it. But these two are very different animals...Turkey vs. Lebanon. Great vs....even better! And I'm not even an expert on world relations. Order a plate, and save yourself from making a mess with a pita wrap. Pick any plate on the menu, or even try the weekly special. You can't go wrong. And then you pick three sides to accompany and bolster your choice. Steer clear of the rice; trust it and pick spicy potato instead (it's not overly spicy - just flavorful little nuggets of potato). Pair that with hummus and fattoush salad. But you're not even done yet...tahini? Hot sauce? White pita? Wheat pita? Bask in the beauty of your choice before you dig in - and then let your taste-buds transport you halfway around the world, before you realize you are still only at work. Proceed to cry. Because your plate is empty.

Yelp
I was on the hunt for a Greek salad with chicken for lunch today and was fortunate enough to wander into Liberty Sq / Pita Thyme and bumped into the Mediterranean salad with the house dressing (light and lemony) with a ton of chicken shawarma thrown on top. Umm. YES. With limited seating (most of the seating is along the window) its a great place to grab and go. The service was very friendly and patient (did not look impatiently at you if you were indecisive and were helpful with their suggestions) and everything was clean and bright. The salad was made up of baby spinach and field greens, veggies, delicious feta and lots of olives. The shawarma was so spicy (not hot), juicy and flavorful and they give you a very generous portion. I am no shawarma expert.. but this was some TASTY chicken. Happy to have a fantastic new addition to the financial district lunch spot!

Yelp
3.5 stars. Rounded up because they were very nice. Came here around 2:30pm on a weekday, so it was pretty dead after the lunch rush. The interior is very cute and fresh looking. I ordered the beef shawarma plate, with spicy potatoes instead of rice, and sides of hummus and tabbouleh. Not that anything was necessarily bad, I personally thought that the beef shawarma pieces were the only redeeming factor of the plate and there wasn't much of it. The potatoes tasted rather bland and not spicy at all, the tabbouleh a little too leafy for my taste (I'd prefer mine with more tomatoes/onions/cucumbers), and the hummus was decent. Maybe I'll come by here again sometime to give it another try.
google avatar

Krissy S.

Yelp
The line is always long at lunchtime, but it moves quick! They have great falafel, hummus, pita chips, salad, and spicy potatoes. Filling, wholesome meals for a good price!
google avatar

Tony W.

Yelp
This is a great lunch spot if you're looking to grab and go. The staff is friendly and efficient, and all of the food and ingredients are fresh and well-prepared. I'm torn between going here and Boston Kebab right down the street, but this place happens to be 20 feet closer to my office. Because of their conveyor belt approach to assembling your food, you'll have your lunch in hand in under 5-7 minutes, despite how long the line may be. Everything I've had has been good: chicken and beef shawarma, and the beef kebab salad. I like to put the beef kebab on a Mediterranean salad and save a little $$$ over their signature salad.

Alexa F.

Yelp
I just wanted to say that this place is amazing. From their excellent customer service (thank you always, Eli) to their delicious food. This is my go to for corporate luncheons and everyone loves it. I have not had a single complaint!! THANK YOU!
google avatar

Ngan T.

Yelp
Apparently I'm a regular here (whoops!) The staff is always nice. You get giant portions of everything, and it's always very well made. A large part of the kitchen is open and you can see the spits where meats are carved--very clean establishment. They certainly have some of the sweetest people working here and the owners can usually be found putting in a lot of the elbow grease as well. DEFINITELY try the crack that they call baklava, they're in-house pita chips, the karoun (sp?) yogurt you can't find anywhere else, and the weekly special. you won't regret it!
google avatar

Suzanne L.

Yelp
This place is so wonderful. The staff is very nice, and the freshness of the ingredients is stunning. The beef shwarma is very good, while the chicken shwarma was dry on the one occasion I had it. I love the falafel - crispy but buttery smooth on the inside, like someone else said. The sides are good too - the tabbouleh was a revelation (90% parsley, 10% couscous) - is this what tabbouleh is supposed to be like and I've just been missing out all my life?!? I like getting the salads (made to order!); as I said before, the ingredients are unbelievably fresh. I can't remember any other places that have such fresh (and high-quality! No iceberg lettuce here) greens, replenished so often. Maybe Henrietta's Table (mind you, at Henrietta's Table prices). The food here is reasonably priced for Boston weekday lunch. $8-10 will get you plenty full. The service is very sweet and accommodating, and the line moves fast. I also get a kick out of saying the pun-ny name :P
google avatar

Karim A.

Yelp
Fresh and tasty. I've only been here once for their Falafel but comparing it to the kabob house next door, I have to say we have a winner. The ingredients tasted fresher and I didn't have to settle for a pre-made Sheppard salad which comes with cucumbers and tomatoes (both which I dislike). At this place, everything was customized. No need to settle on food you don't like. Plus they do this fancy double wrap where the greens and veggies are on one wrap then they put a second thing layer which the falafel goes onto. I'm glad they taste pretty good cause they're really in an unlucky spot. All the businesses that resided in that space ended up getting shut down pretty fast. I've seen 3 (this is the 3rd business) in 2 years! Such high turnover can't be good. Ug, had to set it to 3 stars as I found a hair in my food. Yuck. It's not mine as i'm close to bald and this hair strand is like an inch long.

Yelp
A Mediterranean place that is set up like a Chipotle assembly line. The ingredients are FRESH and the chicken kebab plate was delicious. Sides weren't small and the ones I had were fresh and delicious.....hummas babaganoush (sp) and tabbouleh. The tabbouleh was the freshest and best tasting I have EVER had !! The prices were excellent considering it is located in downtown BOS. I will be back again....count on it.

Yelp
Mixed reviews on the Falafel - got a bad one. The sharwarma was great -.Steak Kebab was delicious. Service is outstanding. - friendly. They have a few places to sit and eat on the corner. The Fattoush and Hommus were unique and made to order. I would avoid the Tahini.
