Piu Bello Buckhead

My family and I had the great fortune to stumble upon Piu Bello on a trip to Atlanta. The had the best Margherita pizza and Calamari that I’ve ever eaten. The dough was light and crispy. The cheese was soft and stretchy with the slightest hint of salt and the garlic sauce made for the perfect slice. The calamari was hands down the most tender I’ve ever eaten. Batter was light and crispy — not greasy at all. We are going back tomorrow to try some pasta dishes. And the owner was a true gentleman and treated us like family. Check it out you won’t be disappointed.

If you’re looking for a casual Italian dining experience in Buckhead without the higher cost, this is the place. I ordered a slice of the veggie pizza and the house salad. My husband ordered the lasagna. There were multiple variations of the veggie pizza to choose from. The food was delicious, service was great (the owner took our order and waited on us), and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. We’re not from the area but we’d definitely come back if we come back to the area.

A nice place to pick up some not too expensive Italian food. You order at the counter, and they bring you the food. The people working there were nice, polite, and attentive. The quality to price ratio is quite good. My veal Marsala was a little salty but otherwise good.

We went here for dinner as I see the place has a high rate from Google. I also love Italian foods. We were not disappointed. Chicken Marsala tastes quite good, big portion. Love the sauteed vegetables. Plenty of parking. Good service. Feel welcomed. We will come back whenever we r in town.

I had the taste for ny style pizza. I got a slice of pepperoni and an order of calamari. The calamari was so good, it was big order and I almost ate the whole thing. The pizza was a little more salty than I’m use to, but it was good and I liked the crust.

I ordered the chicken parmigiana tonight for dinner. I’m having a difficult time cutting it with a steak knife or chewing it. I know it should be pounded thin, but in my photos you can barely see the chicken between the breading. The noodle on top is for scale! This chicken was not prepared anytime recently, it is like shoe leather and I can’t even taste chicken. I usually buy pizza or sandwiches which are very good. Since this was a much more expensive dish I thought it would be good. My mistake.

Have enjoyed Piu Bello’s pizza frequently for the last eight years after working nearby and hearing good things from coworkers. I’ve admittedly only ever had their pizza, so I can’t comment on their other dishes (which I’m told are excellent), but their pizza is one of the best NY-style options in Atlanta and one of the few spots you can order by the slice. That said, like most pizza joints, I’m partial to a fresh, full pie. My wife and I enjoyed a pepperoni pizza tonight here for dinner and it was fantastic. So glad this place has survived the construction chaos that led to the demise of literally every other spot in this plaza. The owner and staff here are as nice as they come.

We were so delighted we found this awesome neighborhood Italian restaurant. Tonight was our third night in two weeks and I can’t say enough good things about the food and the service. I had Veal Marsala tonight …I have been to Italy several times and this dish made me feel like I was in Italy again! It is RARE to find a restaurant where everything you order for the first time exceeds expectations! The atmosphere is not “fancy” yet very welcoming. If you enjoy good, simple Italian food you MUST try Piu Bello!! For real ! This review ain’t no BS!!! I forgot to say how good the lasagna, spaghetti carbonara and Italian cheesecake are!!

I did not get any photos :( I was with a group of 6 adults and 3 kids. The place is small but they accommodated our group amazingly. We were immediately greeted and a table was created for us. We needed to feed the kids first, so ordered garlic knots and cheese pizza. They understood the assignment and left our tab open and got on the pizza. We ordered a salad and 3 pastas to share - Fettuccini Alfredo - Eggplant Parmagiano - Carbonara without the meat They provided suggestions for our group! The potions were large. We were given extra bowls, tongs, and plates for our large group. Our meal with 1 large pizza, 2 orders or garlic knots, 1 large salad, and 3 pastas was $140 including tip. Service was great! Wanted to try the pizza by the slice but the pasta was great and I was so full! Thank you for accommodating!

We have been eating here for years and I can't believe I never wrote a review! We love it and stop in for quick slices on the weekend while out for lunch. We are there two times a month minimum. I get two slices of Meat Lovers and my wife gets one slice of plain cheese. We also like the Garlic Knots (a lot). We have seen people in there eating complete meals and the food looks really good. Staff is really friendly too. Give it a try :)

Absolutely bomb! Staff were friendly and helped give me some suggestions on what to order. A casual ambiance. I got the meatball sandwich. Savory and cheesy. Came with either fries or a salad. The portions were pretty big! I was surprised. Would definitely come here again!

We had the lasagna, chicken parm, and garlic knots-- all delicious! We'll definitely be back.

Eggplant Parmesan was good and didn't need any seasoning, which was great. Caesar salad had way too much dressing, so much that I couldn't eat it, and tiramisu had too much alcohol.

Had the pleasure to stop by Piu Bello over the past weekend, I know we are late to the party since they have been here for over 15 years, but it was really good! Can't believe it took us this long to come here. Just what we were looking for. A simple, classic, Italian spot. Lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmigiana, etc. We started with the calamari which was cooked to perfection. A lot of places can't get this right. I had the tagliatelle alla romana and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken francese with pasta which was also very good. On top of great food, the staff could not have been nicer. They greeted everyone who walked in and were eager to help in any way.

Small and unassuming I had to seek out Piu Bello in the strip mall it sits within, but happy i am happy I did. It offers both counter and table service but definitely feels like more of a counter/quick service place than a sit down restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful and my food was served very quickly. I had the chicken Parmesan with Alfredo sauce and it was delicious. The portion of chicken was so big I had to take half of it back to my hotel, and the Alfredo was creamy and had a very good flavor. Given the portion size for what I paid there is definitely a good value here.

If I could give this place a 10 stars, I would the food the atmosphere was great. the lasagna is made fresh daily. The Parmesan sandwiches are incredible and the pizza is great when I come back to Atlanta this is the place. I will come back to so delicious if you live in the area blessed to have this place.

I was craving ooey cheesy Italian goodness and this place delivered! If you're wanting a Brooklyn Italian place, then this is the place to go. Affordable prices in the buckhead area with great eats. Also unassuming so can show up in your street clothes and still have a great time. Tortellini alla Panna- a good cheesy tortellini dish. If you're wanting just pure cheese and carbs then this is the equivalent of some cheesy white sauce mac and cheese goodness. Tagliatelle alla Romana- Fettuccine with chicken, prosciutto, and portobello mushrooms in a rose sauce. The rose sauce is what makes this dish stand out as the rose sauce creates that bright tang that keeps things balanced. Eggplant Roletini- stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach in tomato sauce topped with mozzarella This was a clear winner out of all the dishes we ordered. The eggplant breading was incredible and the side of tomatoey marinara pasta contrasted nicely with what would have been a heavier eggplant dish. 2 large stacks of eggplant with that crucial amount of ricotta and spinach was excellence. One of the best eggplant italian dishes I've had in a long time. Staff was attentive and friendly and laid back. Area is very unassuming and felt like a canteen but the food was very good. Would come back for that eggplant dish.

I was intrigued with the rating of the place, ambiance is very simple and casual, very friendly staff. Food was superb. Al dente pasta, flavor was on point. Exactly what I'm craving for. I didn't think I was gonna be able to finish my food because of the healthy serving but I ate everything! Price was reasonable. Will definitely come back to try the pizza

I go here all the time because it's walking distance from where I work and the staff is so nice and welcoming. The food is pretty good, especially their bbq chicken pizza, and they've always got good music playing and it's never dirty. Only thing I don't love is their prices but that's what I get for living in buckhead. Overall pretty good place, always look forward to getting a nice warm big slice of pepperoni from here.

We absolutely love Piu Bello!!! They make some of the best penne ala vodka in town for a great value. The team members are always so kind, warm, and welcoming. Their lasagna pizza is also incredible!! Definitely worth a try because you won't regret it!

So I stopped inside the strip mall that had pizza by the slice. It was actually a pretty good establishment. I have the garlic knots, which were great. They came out super hot and filled to the brim with all the garlic goodness. I also had a slice of the meat lovers and then the slice of the barbecue chicken pizza. Overall they were good. Maybe we're left in there a little bit too long, but I'm sure that was just by accident. Because the crust got a little harder than it needed to be in some parts. But the flavor was good. The barbecue sauce was good on the barbecue chicken pizza. I loved it. There wasn't as much sauce on the meat lovers, but I think that the meat man made up for it. The pizza slices were very big, two of them were more than enough. Everybody at the restaurant was friendly. When I wasn't sure what pizza I was looking at, they had no issue with coming over to point out the specific types. I would go back for sure!

What else could you want in a pie shop? This place has it all and what a great staff. 3 of us shared a large supreme pizza pie and Greek salad. Thin crust pizza with fresh and flavorful toppings. Crust had just the right amount of chewiness and salad was fresh and right amount of ingredients that complimented pizza really well. Did I mention the great and friendly staff, what a great bunch of guys that really appreciate their customers. They obviously enjoy making pizza pies.

It was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. Slices are premade and reheated for convenience. They seem to be busy because of location. Nothing about this place really stood out that made me want to try again. For something so simple as dough, sauce and cheese, any pizza lover owner should be able to whip up something that is unforgettable that creates a need to return. For this place it did not hit the mark for me, even though there are some that enjoy the flavor. I have found much better in the metro area.

Great place if you just want a quick slice . First of all it's really nice to be able to get slices instead of having to order a whole pie (even though we know that the leftover pie is the reason pizza exists!). It's in the disco Kroger shopping center and there is plenty of parking even when it's crowded. I have no idea what the rest of the menu is like but we love to stop by and get a slice!

We found this spot in the middle of construction...wasn't expecting much just a quick spot to eat pizza my friend wanted. I ordered class in white wine sauce...Surprise it was all delicious and great customer service...When in the area I will return..

If you're looking for a place with pizza by the slice, Piu Bello is it! The lasagna pizza is a must try. It really does taste like lasagna, just on bread/pizza dough. Overall, most of the pizza is good. Least favorite is the BBQ chicken pizza. Though this is usually one of my favorites, it's a bit dry and tough to eat here. Piu Bello also has meat pies, garlic knots, cheesy bread, etc ready to go at the counter, but of course there's a whole menu of things you can have made to order - calzones, pasta, etc.

Amazing service and food! This place is a great go-to. The menu selections are really nice. Offering everything from pizza to pastas to wings. I acknowledge the price points can be somewhat high but I'm willing to pay the cost if it means having consistency in overall quality. I'll will definitely return soon.

I'm new to ATL and Buckhead and I've has several food misses within the neighborhood, especially delivery. So, I was pleasantly surprised when Piu Bello showed up to my front door with piping HOT pizza and pasta. The pizza was flavorful, even the ctust. Unfortunately, everything else Iwas just so-so. The spaghetti bolagnase nreded some work. It lacked flavor and was too dry for a pasta dish. I expected a reasonable balance between sauce and noodles, and this unfortunately was not. The pasta was also very sticky. I also ordered a slice of cheesecake and it was not worth the price. They sent The tiniest slice they could get away with selling. Als soon as I bit into it I tasted plastic. It was like the cake absorbed the smell and chemicals of the plastic wrap or box they store it in. It was so gross. I definitely will not be getting any dessert from this place. All in all, this is not authentic Italian, just a place for quick food. The pizza is the only thing I'll be ordering and I only plan to get delivery when I'm craving.

Nothing too bad, but nothing mindblowing either. Based on other reviews, this place seems very well liked, but my review is based on the quality of the food and I just wasn't a huge fan to be honest. The margarita pizza did not taste like much of a margarita pizza because it was basically cheese on pizza dough with a couple tomatoes on it. It didn't taste like a traditional margarita pizza with the tomato sauce and fresh modérela and basil like I had hoped (but totally my fault for not checking what the margarita pizza looked like on Yelp reviews). The wings were also pretty average. We were still hungry after the 12" pizza, so the wings did the job but other than that, they weren't the best wings. In terms of environment, there was plenty of parking outside so that wasn't something to worry about thankfully. The restaurant was really nice and casual. Plenty of dine in space and looked clean too. The staff did not seem too organized as they seemed to have gotten someone's online order mixed up, but they seemed to know some regular customers which speaks for their service. We ordered online and came to pick up in 25 mins and decided to just dine in once we got there, but they had the food ready by the time we got there so that was great. I'm not sure if we just ordered the wrong things, but I don't think I'll be trying this place again, not because there was anything wrong in particular, but it just wasn't my taste.

Needed a quick meal after a long road trip and this fit the bill. The food was okay, (eggplant parmigiana and lasagna) but the portions are large and it was prepared quickly. Not sure I'd return but it was ok for a one time meal.

LOVE!!! This place is absolutely delicious! The staff is amazing and extremely welcoming; we love coming here! I eat here way too much throughout the week(at least 3-4 times) and everything is good, down to the cheese sticks and lasagna slices Can't wait for the place renovations to be done and see the new storefront in its glory!!!

I ordered from Uber eats and my food arrived hot and fast. I ordered the salad, cheese pizza, lasagna, meat pizza, chicken Alfredo pasta. The pizza was the showstopper.

Love their pizza. They always get the order right- it's priced fairly and I also like their cheese calzone. It's crispy brown on the outside with melted ricotta and mozzarella on the inside- consistent and yummy!

This ordered I order was to go, 10 pcs of buffalo wings & Gamberi Scampi. When the person hand it to me, wow 2 big bags. I bought this back to my hotel room. When I open it, the Gamberi Scampi was in a decent size portions. The pasta was really good I can taste the garlic, lemon, butter, and white wine. Even tho, this order was to go, the shrimp wasn't over cooked. I They gave me some extra wings, I think I count total of 13 wings. The wing is really good. Next time when I order instead of mild, I will get hot. I did finished the pasta and half order of the wings and I was done. Overall the food was good and the price was decent.

I'm sorry but the pasta is just bad. We just threw it away and ate something else. Can't comment on the other food, pasta sauce was straight out of a bottle/can and the noodles were bad. Normally don't post bad reviews. This place should just be avoided

Amazingly good pizza. Lasagna and Margherita pizza. The best pizza I have ever had and I love me some pizza. Greek salad was great too. Don't miss this spot, you'll be missing out if you do.

This restaurant has been in business for 16 years! I first discovered them and their delicious pizza and garlic knots when I used to work at Kroger in high school and would come here during my lunch breaks. 11 years later, I still enjoy their food--their pizza, salads, pasta, and garlic knots!

Great food. Don't expect to be wowed by the table service, but the food is really good.

i ordered the chicken parmigiana with garden salad and soda thru uber eats ... the cheese on top was so stale and had a bad smell as if it were rotten i cannot believe that they actually put this in a box ! the temperature was soooo cold and there was only one other person that my driver delivered to ! all stops were less than 10 mins away including the restaurant (my food was here in less than 30 mins and that should've been a red flag right there smh) i don't mind waiting for FRESH FOOD ! i even called the restaurant to ensure my food would be fresh before ordering and they LIED right to my face PLUS the focaccia was stale ... taste like it was made weeks ago .. i am so so so so so disappointed it's wild how i can pick up the cheese right off of the chicken like it was never even attempted to be cooked fresh nor reheated ... food looks nothing like the photos on uber eats freshest items were the salad and orange fanta .. literally the only things that were actually edible smh

Good food and even better service!! Keep in mind this is a order at the front and seat yourself restaurant. When we did visit the parking lot was under construction but this did not affect the ambiance inside!

Just have to say Pu Bello has excellent food this place has all the criteria I look for in being a satisfied, returning customer this place has the best tasting pizza by the slice , spaghetti, Philly steak and cheese sandwiches, the fries are to die for I tried the Philly cheese steaks expecting it to be like the other places I've tried ....no flavor !!! I was pleasantly surprised it's my go to spot Quality food knowledgeable staff and customer service I love this place I eat here weekly

We've lived within 5 minutes of Piu Bello Pizzeria restaurant for about a year, and it took that long to visit one day for lunch. I'm torn about Piu Bello, because they do some things excellently, and then other things need a lot of work. Lemme s'plain. We visited and ordered the following: Meat lover slice of pizza ($3.95) Meatball Parmigiana ($10.95) Gnocchi bolognese ($13.95) The meatball sub and gnocchi were to go orders, and while we waited, we shared a slice of pizza. Let me tell you, had we stopped with the slice of pizza, it would be 5 stars easily. Crispy crust, bursting with flavor as well as fresh toppings. It's a GOOD slice of pie! They cut it down the middle for us and that one slice looked like 2 regular size slices from your local chain restaurants. We went home and tried are to go meals, which sadly didn't live up to the pizza. We had a bite or two of the Meatball Parmigiana. I thought it just tasted like cooked/unseasoned ground beef in red sauce. My girlfriend enjoyed it very much. This also came with french fries. I did enjoy the fries a lot. They were very crispy on the outside while soft in the middle. Who knew that an Italian place would get french fries right! The gnocchi was dense, chewy and i've had much much better. The actual bolognese sauce itself was simply okay, and didn't have strong flavors to support the not so great gnocchi I would not recommend this...at least not as a to go order (or if your drive back home is longer than 5 minutes). Located in a strip anchored by Kroger, Piu bello doesn't really have many problems in terms of parking, and the seating here is adequate for about 30 people at a time. Staff here at Piu bello really are great, very friendly and aim to please. Piu Bello, at least in terms of pizza know exactly what they're doing, so if you'd like a slice, grab a slice and enjoy. I'm sure their other menu items are excellent in restaurant. In our case, the to go items just weren't as great as the pizza slice.

It was my first coming here with my girlfriend and we didn't know what to expect but we were NOT disappointed at all. We ordered a slice of lasagna pizza and the crust was so beautifully crispy and flavorful and the sauce was so fresh and the cheese was perfect with an amazing pull. We also got garlic knots and they were hot and steamy perfectly buttery and delicious. The man who was wearing glasses who took our order was super helpful and guided us through the menu. His service was exceptional. You can see their oven and a man who only speaks Italian preparing the dough and garlic knots which a huge green flag!! The place is very calm and relaxing as not a lot of people were there to my surprise. Overall it was an amazing place and is my new go to Italian restaurant. P.S. AND THEY DELIVER TOO!!!

Simple location and no frills atmosphere, but they put all of their energy and effort into the actual food. We ordered pepperoni pizza, margarita with chicken pizza, and a chicken pasta dish along with an order of garlic knots. Everyone liked what they had and we had enough to take back to the hotel for midnight snacks (except for the garlic knots - there are 5 in an order and we demolished all 5). The employees were nice. There were televisions for watching the Olympics. There was pizza by the slice available but it looked like it had been sitting there awhile. I'm sure you could get them to reheat it for you. Lots of customers were doing takeout. It's definitely a popular place. It was a great option after a long day on the road and our first night in town.

The food here is yummy but the service is even better. Very attentive and thoughtful staff that I encountered, they came around to the tables and made sure everyone was okay, very accommodating. The music was soothing. Some construction in the area that may be loud or not nice to look at but don't let that deter you from having some good food with nice people!

Been going to Piu Bello for years now. It's a chill Italian/Pizza place in the middle of Buckhead tucked away in a bustling shopping plaza. Tons of parking as it shares a lot with Starbucks, Kroger, Jason's Deli, and other little shops. Prime location and easy enough to get to even on busy Saturday afternoon. This place is never busy but always has a great stream of customers constantly dropping in. Open 7 days a week, 11-10 this place never fails. You can come in and sit down and they'll give you a menu and serve you or you can go up to the register and order a pizza or whatever to go and they'll check you out immediately. They also recently remodeled so great seating options and calm and chill atmosphere. Service is quick and food is solid. I usually order the chicken Marsala with pasta. The sauce is always delicious and the chicken is always seasoned so well and it satisfies all my unhealthy carb cravings. Also try the garlic knots! They are great and come with marinara sauce. Most people come in and out order pizza by the slices or have a a box delivered. Their pizza is decent and seemingly fresh but I always stay for the pasta. I'd say give your chain Italian place a rest and definitely try Piu Bello.

Really enjoyed our visit! The pizza was great and they had seating inside. The staff was friendly and our food came out very quickly Drink options are a little limited. Nice place to stop and eat when the traffic starts to beat you down

I have no idea why my space was violated ! Be sure to ask them about silverware because if you can't choose your own eating utensils . I had their waitress grab my fork from in front of me coming into my space and replacing it with dirty silverware . Staff was rude and I don't recommend it. Smart ass comments and sarcasm is what I was met with .

The pizza was delicious and i will certainly go back again and again. I ordered the equivalent and f the supreme pizza and the crust had just the right amount of crispness to it. Amazing!!!!

I ordered from Piu Bello using Uber eats for lunch so I did not go inside. But I have been in the plaza where this restaurant is located and there is parking except it gets really busy during lunch time. The delivery said 20 to 30 minutes and I was shocked that when it was delivered the pizza was still hot and fresh. I got a regular cheese slice $3.50 and a pepperoni slice $4.75 and added black olives $0.75 The slices were big and the flavor was really good as well. I also got the house salad $6, which was great because they used something other than iceberg lettuce and it was a decent size. The only thing is the prices are a little cheaper on Postmates, but the delivery fee is like $5.99 so make sure you find an offer code online.

I always order the baked ziti and knots which is great. Being from NY it's very few pizza spots that have garlic knots so that's always a plus for me. I recommend them for sure.

This is a small little restaurant that's big on service. I think this is going to be one of my new favorite places to eat! The staff is very friendly and the food is good as well. You should try it!
