More terrace than rooftop—but a fixture for pre‑ and post‑game hangs with a second‑floor balcony over Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Visit Indy and neighborhood guides often point here for fire pits, shareables, and people‑watching on Georgia Street.

The service provided by Jacob was both amazing and admirable. The receipt reads, “Jacob.” However, I saw a bracelet that reads, “Jake.” The calm under pressure displayed by Jake maintained a positive atmosphere. The restaurant experienced increased foot traffic due to The Queens Concert June 1, 2025. Then the computer system shut down. In the midst of it all Jake went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was electric. It was the Sunday following the Saturday that the Indiana Pacers won the Eastern Conference Championship. If you are in the downtown Indianapolis, Indiana area this restaurant is a great choice! It is where great food and great people meet to maintain a great atmosphere.

If you're looking for a laid-back yet elevated experience in the heart of the city, this rooftop bar inside the Hyatt is a must-visit. Offering a solid selection of cocktails, wine, and beer, along with a menu of light fare, it's the perfect place to unwind or kick off your evening. The prices are surprisingly fair for a rooftop venue, and the friendly, attentive service adds to the welcoming atmosphere. What truly sets this spot apart is the view—absolutely unbeatable. Overlooking Gainbridge Fieldhouse, it’s an ideal vantage point whether you’re in town for a game, a concert, or just soaking in the city vibes. It’s also a prime location for people-watching, with a clear view of the bustling streets below. Whether you're a local looking for a new favorite hangout or a visitor wanting to take in the sights with a drink in hand, this rooftop bar delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

Nice place, beautiful outdoor roof-top-like patio. Terrific bar tender! Food was great . Tried the nacho and Caesar salad topped with a delicious piece of tasty salmon. The only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars is because the salad was described as “grilled Romain” on the menu…hopefully I didn’t read it wrong. In any event, the salad was good. Cocktails great!

After two years of frequent stays at the Hyatt House Downtown Indy, I’ll admit the menu at Pivot Bar + Balcony has started to feel… let’s say familiar. But there’s one reason—two nights a week—that I always look forward to dinner here: Angel. And let me be clear: that’s not just her name, it’s her culinary identity. Angel is, hands down, the heart and soul of the kitchen on Wednesday and Thursday nights. She doesn’t just make food—she crafts experiences. She’ll ask what flavors I’m into, what I’m craving, and then—like some kind of kitchen wizard—she creates something custom, delicious, and totally within the limits of their in-house ingredients. It’s like a choose-your-own-adventure meal… but every path leads to “WOW.” Beyond her talent, Angel has that rare kind of warmth that makes you feel like a guest in her home rather than a hotel bar. She regularly steps out of the kitchen to check in, always with a bright smile and genuine care for how you’re enjoying your meal. So if you’re staying at the Hyatt House and find yourself hungry on a Wednesday or Thursday, do yourself a favor—ask for Angel. Your taste buds will thank you. Probably your soul, too.

A great rooftop bar located in the Hyatt House in downtown Indianapolis. The staff was very welcoming & friendly. I tried the grilled chicken caesar salad and the ingredients were fresh. Great view of the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Google
Its a rooftop in indy. So not many to choose from, however there are a few things I'd consider. Seems like the kitchen is used to more of hotel service not so much a restaurant kitchen. Had an experience where i was waiting a lot longer than I predicted.. 1.5hr experience. Drinks are solid, cocktails are a little on the sweet side but again... It's outsiiiiddeeee. Servers aren't terrible, their kind but the service is not fast. Overall just an experience i was hype about and it started to fall down hill. I think if you just want a pretty spot. Here is the place. But if you want good food (across the board) and more of a restaurant experience. Then not really the spot. Beautiful though.

Made a reservation for the igloo got confirmation the day before to confirm which I did. I show up they tell me they are closed for the day no call no email no communication paid to park and had family come from out of town very inconvenient

Jacob is incredibly personable and efficient at his job, and a lovely chat as well with great recommendations for things to check out downtown. Drinks and food were delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
we stopped by here after dinner and the weather was perfect to sit outside, they have a decent selection of drinks, they have a fun thing where you can order a mystery beer that comes in a brown bag. I lucked out and got a beer from 18th street, it was very tasty! I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Located inside the Hyatt House/Hyatt Place in downtown Indy on the second floor next to the lobby! Overlooks the Gainbridge Fieldhouse! Small menu and full bar that opens at 4p! Friendly service!

Yelp
I attended a private event here and I really enjoyed my time. The balcony opens directly across from the indoor bar area so it was nice to be able to walk in and out. The patio is a very nice size and was well shielded from the sun which made for a lovely seating area. The staff assisting us were very friendly and the bartender was doing an excellent job on the drinks. To access Pivot, you go to the 2nd floor of the Hyatt hotel (same building) and it is right next to the check in counter. I foresee several nights here before Pacers games as this is right across from Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Yelp
Probably wouldn't have visited had I not heard my favorite local sportscaster inviting Fever fans to stop in. Experienced the worst food and service I've ever encountered - a hockey puck disguised as a cheeseburger and a server/bartender whose indifference was unbelievable. At least I didn't have to pay for the horrible food.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a quick drink before grabbing dinner. It's super easy to get to and the front entrance has some interesting art to check out. It's on the 2nd floor and has a wonderful low-key balcony. We were the only people in the bar/balcony so it was nice to be able to wonder around and check out the whole area. They do offer seasonal cocktails.

Yelp
Staying in the downtown Indianapolis Hyatt Place? This bar is located next to the lobby. Same place where you get breakfast in the morning. We came back late to our room and wanted a nightcap. The drinks were fine, service was polite, but distracted... Got the bill and found a $1 charge for "rocks". Did they really just charge me $1 extra for ice in the scotch (see photo)?!?!?

Yelp
We didn't really have much food but what we had was good. The Chicharróns came out hot, fresh and still cracking from the fryer. I drank presseco.. the cocktail list wasn't super thrilling. They have a patio with igloos that you can rent during the cold season and ioen seating on the balcony when it's warm out.

Yelp
Stopped in here to have a bite before a concert across the street at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. My wife had the Georgia Street Tacos. She ate all three except for the bite she gave me. They were delicious. Came with lime wedges so you could squeeze fresh lime on your taco right before you sink your teeth in. I got the Pork Belly BLT. I'm a sucker for pork belly anything. The bread was perfectly crunchy and buttery. It also had generous avocado slices in this BLT. Loved It!!! Soft but crunchy. Bacony and creamy and all over delicious.

Yelp
This is bar upstairs at Hyatt downtown. Location is perfect for events at Gainbridge. They have cute igloos that are on balcony overlooking the street. Unfortunately they have lack of staff to take orders and worse yet one person in kitchen so even longer wait for food. We waited 15-20 mins at table without any acknowledgment and finally waitress who seemed to be only person other than bartender working came by and told us it could be hour wait for food so not enough time to make our show. At least she was honest. Nothing special about this place so go elsewhere.

Yelp
Tonight I met some old work colleagues at Pivot Table for drinks and a quick bite. The atmosphere and view are great, sadly it was raining and we couldn't sit outside. But next time I will for sure. There is a great view of the stadium. We liked the food and drinks. I highly recommend the cool as a cucumber. The brat was delicious and filling. I really enjoyed the popcorn as an app with cheddar flavor added. But the best part of the experience was the bartender/server, Andy. He was great attentive in the right ways and fun. He even made us a shot from his days bartending in Florida. I will be back.

Yelp
This was my second time attending a private event at Pivot and it has yet to disappoint! I have been to the balcony bar in both rain and shine and they have done great each time! The two private parties were a bit different - one had a "private" bartender and food and the other just had food w/ a server walking around taking drink orders. The rooftop bar is located on the 2nd story and has a lot of heating elements that will keep you toasty warm. The food here has always been great! They seem to have a wide variety of catering options from the amazing "Totchos" to shrimp-cocktail boats and pizza. This is honestly one place where I have seen such a wide variety of options and each option is still worth talking about. Along with the food - it seems like you can get different "tiers" of bar catering. For the open bar, I would have like to have seen two bartenders for the number of people who attended. I felt like the bartender was a bit overwhelmed and always seemed to be running around and not always behind the bar. Other than that - it was great pours and they were getting through the line as quickly as they could. In the event that you opt-in for the "private" bar - the full bar is located within maybe ten feet and you can get any and all things there! The space is pretty big and has a separate "event" area that is located inside in case of rain. Overall if I were to have a private event (most probably a birthday or something w/ less than 50 people) I would definitely reach out to them for availability!

Yelp
I love this place, drink prices over half off from the Fieldhouse across the street. You can watch everyone walk in.

Yelp
Drinks were cute and tasted really good. Can barely taste the liquor. But you will most definitely need at least 3 cups to get drunk. Balcony is a decent size not too big.

Yelp
What a great setting to enjoy a beverage before an evening event downtown! The second floor cocktail bar is located within the Hyatt Place that newly opened on Pennsylvania across from the Fieldhouse. After climbing a stairway surrounded by art installations (elevators are just beyond), the bar is located to the left of the check-in counter. During the day, the space is open and anyone can walk around to check out the stylish bar area. What is very cool is walking out onto the balcony that provides an elevated view of the fieldhouse and the surrounding downtown area. There is a fire pit for when the weather gets chilly. Once the bar opens at 3 p.m., it becomes a 21+ space only, so don't bring your kids before a Pacer/Fever game. I sat at the bar in the early afternoon and had a very pleasant experience. I ordered one of the house drinks, a "Cool as a Cucumber" cocktail that was delicious. Count on prices to be on the higher end as you would expect from a business located within a hotel. The bartenders were pleasant and prompt. Parking in the area is always a challenge, especially on game nights. There are a few pay street parking spots on the alley between Penn and Meridian. I simply chose to park in the mall garage ($3 for 3 hours) and walk the block to the bar to avoid driving around looking for a spot. This is a great location and should become even better in a few years when the new plaza goes in across the street, north of the fieldhouse. In the meantime, enjoy the elevated view and the cocktails. Note: They do offer a limited meal selection though they shouldn't call it Lunch and Dinner when they clearly don't open in time for lunch. Yelp
I wanted to like this place sooo bad, because who doesn't love a good rooftop! The outdoor area is great, especially on a summer evening. I like that they have the "brown bag beer" special. Drinking for cheap at a classier place is quite the oxymoron, but I love me a good beer that is reminiscent of my college days!! That is the end of the good experience. We didn't plan to eat here but the traffic downtown was bad, so we did. I got the spinach poppyseed salad & added chicken (+$4). Do yourself a favor and do NOT order this, especially not with the chicken. Likely the worst chicken I've ever had. It was cold, which isn't great but whatever. I don't think it was seasoned at all. If it was, it wasn't much more than a couple shakes of salt and pepper. Very confused for such a nice place. I ate one bite. Part of it did not look fully cooked as you can see in the photo. My friends ordered the chicken tacos and grilled cheese with tomato soup. They said it was decent. I'm not sure if I'd return here. If I did, it would only be for the drinks.

Yelp
What a fun new place in the heart of downtown! Right across the street from bankers life Fieldhouse. The perfect place to grab a drink and appetizer before a sporting event or concert. I came here with a friend before a concert and it was the best idea. They have a beautiful outdoor rooftop bar with ample seating. I split the chicken tenderloin which came with tater tot's and a salad with my Friend. It was the perfect amount of food. The menu is very broad and offers a variety of "classy" and comfort food. They offer a two dollar brown bag beer where they put a surprise kind of beer in a brown bag and bring it to you. Usually these beers are not of the highest quality, but a $2 mediocre beer at pivot beats a $10 mediocre beer at bankers life. Plus it's fun because it's a surprise!

Yelp
I was able to experience the balcony and bar while a friend was staying at the hotel for the weekend. With it being a Friday night and the weather being on the chilly side, the rooftop was a really cool place to hang out at. The fire pits were nice and there was plenty of seating. It was hard to get drink service outside if you hadn't already been to the bar inside; however, later in the evening there was someone who came out to see if we needed anything. The second evening was spent watching a game inside the bar area since it was raining. The drinks are really good and food was decent. The staff was friendly and available if you needed anything. This will be a great place to go during the summer or catch a couple of drinks before heading to an event.

Yelp
The inside is fine but the outside is really nice. Directly across the street from Bankers Life it's a really convenient & nice place to get a drink or quick bite before or after an event. The out door "roof top" is just a 3 stories up balcony but it's nice. Larger tables & couches around a fire pit. A large fire & art sculpture & a giant connect four game give it a fun & funky vibe. My husband enjoyed the cocktail he had. They had no mocktails on their menu but they did have 3 different infused waters, lemon, cucumber, and berry, which I enjoyed. My husband got the Cuban, which he liked. I did not. The pulled pork was heavily spiced with chili powder & maybe cumin which ruined it for me. I had the chicken tenders & tots appetizer. I hadn't had tots in years & they were delicious. The breading on the chicken was really good; tender, light, crunchy, & perfectly seasoned but the chicken itself was kind of tough. We also ordered the P & S flatbread (prosciutto & salami, sundried tomatoes, parmesan, lemon vinaigrette) served at room temp (not baked like a pizza). This was really nice. The waiter was really nice & seemed knowledgeable of the menu. They were not very busy when we went.

Yelp
I enjoyed a drink on the balcony around 6pm on a Monday night. Service was great and there was live music (small band) playing on the balcony. Great place.

Yelp
Good food and prices. Love the balcony. Service was decent but nothing extra. Pork belly BLT recommended

Yelp
Neat little bar in the Hyatt - has a cool wall of jerseys of past/present athletes from Indiana/played in Indiana. Has a nice variety of menu items and cocktails. Our group indulged in the Brown Bag Beer ($2.50/beer) and had a lot of fun ordering various ones to see what we could get. We had some Keystone Light, Old Style, Icehouse, Milwaukee Best Ice, a Four Day Ray blood orange blonde, and Rhinegeist Bubbles. Great spot to grab a drink/bite to eat before a Pacers game!
google avatar

Brooke L.

Yelp
I love this place!! Great wine list and cocktail menu, but the real fun is the $2.50 beer in a bag. Tonight, my husband and I got Pachanga and Hamms, respectively - not bad! When you walk in it's so nice and open and smells really great (is that just me?). Plenty of seating either at the bar, multiple tables, or on their outdoor patio, which sits right across from Bankers. The bartenders are incredibly friendly and the service was great. Our favorite part of this place is the fantastic patio. There are fire pits so you can lounge with friends and enjoy. Plus, the wind is blocked so it's actually comfortable out there on chilly evenings. Looking forward to making this place a more regular stop!

Yelp
Review is based on service and atmosphere. We didn't order food. It is a very nice rooftop in downtown Indy.. waiters are very friendly.
google avatar

Tisha N.

Yelp
Come for the view and atmosphere, stay for the drinks. I ordered a brown bag beer. My friends ordered a million espresso martinis and the bartender was on top of it. Big couches, fireplace, and lots of seating. Adding to my list of places to visit more often downtown.
google avatar

Ann B.

Yelp
The patio is incredible, but aside from that, it's honestly fine, but nothing special. Be aware that before, during, and after events at Bankers Life, service will be somewhat slow and it'll be a little crazy inside. Also, this is a very niche complaint, but I ordered the veggie burger with a side salad and the salad came with bacon all over it. I spent the majority of my meal picking it out. I just wish the server would've warned me it came with meat, since the rest of my meal was vegan.
google avatar

Heather P.

Yelp
Cant give them enough stars!!! Kaleigh the manager is AMAZING and soo sweet. She made sure that our party was memerable and soo much fun, She went above and beyond. Every employee was so polite and kind from the hotel check in to the bartender. You wont regret going here,, super cool place to just go hang out, food was FABULOUS and the drinks were good as well... all around a great place.. :)

Yumi J.

Yelp
I stay at the Hyatt hotel for business conference meeting and go this bar every night I was there with my co-workers... hahaha I ordered BLT sandwich ( bartender recommended ) anyway Huge sandwich and big bacon!!! I couldn't finish eating at all. Bartender was very kind and great service. I enjoyed it
google avatar

Erika G.

Yelp
Great spot for drinks and dinner before an event at Bankers Life. The outdoor patio was cool enough on a very hot day. The burgers were delicious. The tater tots? To die for. We even ordered an extra!
google avatar

Katie K.

Yelp
Great outdoor patio space! We got the chicken fingers, cobb salad and brown bag beers. The chicken fingers are delicious!!! They are made in house and beer battered. The menu doesn't say this but they come with a hefty serving of tots. The brown bag beers are $2.50 each. We ended up getting surprised with a few Hamms and a Keystone light.
google avatar

Lori L.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Say out on the terrace and had a bottle of wine and cheese board. Waiters were intentive and helpful.
google avatar

Kamaren C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! I loved that it was not crazy packed! The food and drinks were both good! Definitely a great place to enjoy a view and drinks.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Andy and Ricky are top notch bartenders. I've been here 3 nights and they have taken care of our crew better than any other hotel we have visited. The cheese board was fairly standard but the environment here is accepting, comfortable, and relaxing.
google avatar

Codi B.

Yelp
Delicious I'm a vegetarian and had the flatbread without salami, avocado toast and a beyond burger ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ! Blake was our awesome server! Very informative, knowledgeable and friendly! We will be back!!!!

Kate Q.

Yelp
Cute vibe and easy access but if you're looking for good service this is not it. I know staffing sucks and service isn't always their fault but a lot of other customers got their food before we did and they ordered after. One girl got her food that was in our 3 person group and they forgot about our food. It was chicken tenders so not hard. If you're looking for a job, apply here cuz they need help lol! I'm sure it'd be great if service was better.

Julie T.

Yelp
Food was great and loved the atmosphere!! Had the Crossroad burger (Excellent!) and the strawberry spinach salad - also fantastic!) cocktails were fab as well!

Laurie B.

Yelp
Love this place!!! Fantastic patio space, great staff, and the food is excellent!!! Will definitely be back!
