Amazing area inside CA Adventure Park. You will want to come here to enjoy all the restaurants and cafes. Plus the IncrediCoaster is located here and the famous Ferris Wheel. This is the location of the night show, it is projected onto the water with the Ferris Wheel as the background. Probably the best place in the park to get great pictures!

Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure is a colorful and lively celebration of all things Pixar — and it’s absolutely magical! 🎢🌈✨ The atmosphere is bright and cheerful, with stunning views of Paradise Bay and the iconic Pixar Pal-A-Round (the giant Ferris wheel) creating the perfect backdrop. Walking along the pier, you’re surrounded by vibrant Pixar-themed decorations and music that instantly put you in a fun, carefree mood. The rides are the highlight — Incredicoaster is an absolute must for thrill-seekers, with its smooth tracks and thrilling drops themed around The Incredibles. The Toy Story Midway Mania ride is always a blast — it's interactive and competitive in the best way! For a more relaxed vibe, the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and Jessie’s Critter Carousel are perfect for younger visitors. The food here is also on point — the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums are ridiculously good (warm and gooey!), and the Poultry Palace chicken drumsticks are surprisingly delicious. There are also tons of Pixar-themed snacks and treats throughout the pier. Pixar Pier perfectly blends nostalgia and excitement, making it a fantastic spot for both kids and adults. Whether you’re riding the Incredicoaster or just strolling along the pier with a churro in hand, it’s pure Disney magic. Highly recommend spending some time soaking it all in! 🌟🍪🎡🍿

One of the most photographable areas inside Disney California Adventure! During the daytime, admire the views, then at nighttime, prepare for the scenery to amp up and watch exceptional water shows that the whole family is sure to love with World of Color.

From a great rollercoaster ride, Incredicoaster - Previously California Screamin' - Toy Story Midway Mania - Silly Symphony Swings - Emotional Whirlwind - Goofy's Sky School - Jumpin' Jellyfish and plenty of carnival style games to enjoy. Food, plenty of options, from boardwalk treats to pizza and pasta. Mediterranian grill - Lamplight Lounge - Adorable Snowman Frosty Treats. Plenty of shops and Don't forget about the World Of Color. Great must see spot.

Pixar pier does bring a fresh start to Disney California park. There is a water feature right at the Center that brings freshness to the experience. The you could hear screams from the incredible-coaster that makes the park all the more thrilling and exciting!!

Google
A great part of California adventure. Pixar Pier is usually pretty busy like the rest of the park. I really enjoy the giant Ferris wheel. It’s just super iconic and really is the face of California adventure. The snacks are pretty good as well. The incredicoaster is pretty iconic and fun as well.

Google
Almost like walking on a boardwalk Pixar Pier is modeled after the beaches' boardwalk carnival extensions that head over the water. There is a midway area complete with games and prizes. Rides in this area include Pixar pal around and Incredicoaster, Jessie's critter carousel, and Inside out emotional whirlwind. There are also fast food places for snacks, churros, and the Lamplight lounge for sit down dining. There is a sitting area near Incredicoaster that is in a rooftop open air shelter where you can get out of the sun and relax a bit. There really isn't any shade in this area so any place to get out of the heat is a welcome relief. Have a look at some of the Boardwalk style signs as you walk around the pier. They are fascinating and have catchy phrases. Course you can always catch the iconic Mickey Mouse circle right in the middle of the Pixar Pal around. It's a great place to get some nice photos. CA Adventure's World of color one takes place here which is their nightime entertainment. This is also home to the seasonal Ogie Boogie bash during Halloween. Since a lot of the attractions are meant for children expect to see large crowds here. Yet your day at CA Adventure would not be complete without walking through it and seeing it. Great family filled area in the park!

Google
Truly a great addition to the park. They did a great job modifying everything while keeping it true to what it was before. They also added some cute themed kiddie rides, so with the loss of a Bug’s Land for the little ones you gain this adorable area. :) the snack stands are so cute, too!

Yelp
GETTING HERE: Pixar Pier is located at Disney's California Adventure Park (DCA). Head towards The Little Mermaid attraction and you'll soon be golden. :-) REVIEW: Where do I begin? There is quite a bit to do at PP, but I think the two attractions that are worth the price of admission are Toy Story Mania and the Incredi-coaster. I would highly recommend those and make sure you visit those 2 attractions for sure! There is something that is just extra-extraordinary about the Pixar Pier at night. The lights, the water, the wheel everything. It is just one of the most magical places at the Park, IMHO. There are a couple of places to get snacks and a couple of gift shops, but probably my favorite is the one that you enter right after Toy Story. Make sure you prioritize a stop over here. And also don't forget to watch World of Color! Hope you enjoy!

Yelp
"Adventure is out there!" -Up What a fun area inside Disney California Adventure Park! We found Elastigirl by the Incredicoaster. Being a huge fan of the films and a mom myself, it was real treat taking a photo with her! We wanted to see some other Pixar characters as well, but they were sadly on lunch. My eldest and hubby loved the Incredicoaster, it looked "incredibly" fast and fun from down below!! I stayed with baby since she wasn't tall enough and sleeping in my arms. We'll definitely be returning to explore more, the Pixar Pal-A-Round looked like a fun/colorful ferris wheel! SYOY! :-)

Yelp
Pixar Pier is one of my favorite places inside Disneyland's California Adventure. Sometimes, my daughter and I will rope drop Goofy's Sky School to ride it multiple times over and over again for the first 30 minutes when DCA opens! Pixar Pier is filled with so much activities, entertainment, food, and rides! The Pixar Pier rides are listed below: Incredicoaster: This is the largest roller coaster at Disneyland and California Adventure. You'll go on a journey with baby Jack-Jack. The incredicoaster ride was my first time with a inversion, going upside down!. Pixar Pal-A-Round: There is a spinning and non-spinning option for the Ferris Wheel. This does shut down during the evening for their nightly shows. Jessie's Critter Carousel: Carousel ride inspired by Jessie's Critter Pals Silly Swings Symphony: Soaring Circles. It's located at the Paradise Gardens Park at Pixar Pier. This is one of my favorite rides at Pixar Pier. Goofy's Sky School: One of the most enjoyable rides for my daughter and I. This is one of our go-to rides at DCA. It's fast and thrilling! It does break down often, so try to ride it at least once! Toy Story Midway Mania: It's a 4D shootin' game ride at DCA. It's midway style where it goes from screen to screen. It always has a long wait time at DCA, usually average wait time is 45 minutes. If you can get a lightning lane ride for Toy Story Midway Mania, that would be my recommendation! Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind: Based on Inside Out, It's a small spin around ride. It's very similar to the original ride system at the It's a Bugs Life themed area, except re-designed for Inside Out. Jumpin Jellyfish: It's a small drop ride. You'll get to view the entire Paradise Bay though going on the Jellyfish! The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure: There's is always a low wait time for this ride and one of my favorite's at DCA. You'll get to journey under the sea with Ariel and see scenes from the animated classic! The music and the animatronics are amazing! There is no height restriction for this ride! It is a slow, dark, and loud ride though! Golden Zephyr: This attraction is located at Paradise Gardens Pier at DCA. IT's designed as a retro-spaceship. No height restrictions for this ride, but it does, spin a lot! Sometimes this ride does shut down during the summer if it's too hot out! Games of Pixar Pier: Includes a WALL-E, Bug's life, and a lot more! Some of the dining experiences include the following Lamplight Lounge Poultry Palace Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats Senor Buzz Churros Angry Dogs New Shopping experiences include the following Knick's Knacks Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff There's a lot of entertainment and shows too! Most of the food festival booths are located at Pixar Pier. The Oogie Boogie Bash is hosted at the DCA Paradise Pier. A lot of the RunDisney races also have their race paths through Paradise Pier! It's a great area to hang out, ride rides, and eat some amazing food at Disney's California Adventure! Don't forget to watch their nighttime show - World of Color - ONE. It's a 24 minute show. There are two different showtimes, one at 9:00 P.M and the other at 10:15 P.M!

Yelp
Good times and lots to do here! From its namesake, this is a Pixar movie themed land at Disney California Adventure. The first photo I took of my nephews was at Mickey's Ferris Wheel. While waiting for them on the top rated Incredicoaster (I hear it can go up to 55 mph!), I spotted Elastigirl or Mrs. Incredible and took a photo w/her. You can spot characters from various Pixar movie and have a photo opportunity w/them, ie. Inside Out and others. There are places to eat, snack, shop, and walk around at Pixar Pier. Lines for places vary and require patience. The single rider lines move quickly and so do the lines for the ladies room at for a Monday afternoon. Plan ahead early and use the app to make reservations for things. My fam members did that and it worked out well. Would definitely return to this part of DCA w/the hubby and/or the fam. 4 stars!

Yelp
This is a fun area to walk around at Disney California Adventure. There are rides, food, snacks and games for all ages. When the park first opened in 2001, it was called Paradise Pier and was inspired by the amusement park at Santa Monica Pier. It would later be reimagined as Pixar Pier and incorporated the characters and themes from many of the popular Pixar movies. This area is really pretty at night when the lights are reflecting off the lake. The center attraction is the Pixar Pal-A-Round (formally called Mickey's Fun Wheel). My favorite ride at Pixar Pier is the Incredicoaster. Riding that rollercoaster is so much fun and never gets old. Incredicoaster is the sixth-longest steel roller coaster in the world and reaches a speed of 55 mph. My favorite snack is an ice cream from Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. Other attractions include carnival games and a bunch of rides for kids. Keep an eye for character sightings from Pixar movies like "The Incredibles", "Toy Story", "Monsters, Inc" and "Inside Out". When I ran the runDisney 5K earlier this year, the finish line was inside the Pixar Pier. It was fun to run through the boardwalk around the lake while high-fiving Pixar characters along the way.

Yelp
Pixar Pier, formerly known as Paradise Pier, is a region of California Adventure modeled after our state's beach boardwalks. It's a scenic spot, built alongside a placid Disney-made lake. There are tons of attractions, including the Incredicoaster and the giant Pixar Pal-A-Round ferris wheel. From the snacks to the shops to the rides, almost everything is themed after Pixar movies. You can play carnival games inspired by A Bug's Life and WALL-E; an animatronic Mr. Potato Head acts as a boardwalk barker as you enter the delightful Toy Story Midway Mania! (exclamation mark Disney's). Jessie's Critter Carousel is a favorite of my two small boys, and I like that there's almost never a line. We ate lunch at the Lamplight Lounge on our most recent trip, and that was by far the most pleasant and civilized meal I've had at the parks, complete with a cocktail and a lovely pier view. There are plenty of grab-and-go options, too, and the pier is a great place to enjoy any loose snacks you might have packed. Disneyland is hectic, but Pixar Pier can be kind of peaceful if your kids sit on the boardwalk and watch the Incredicoaster while they eat their goldfish. There's a lot to see and do here, and it's all good wholesome fun.

Yelp
The Pixar Pier is awesome. There's lots of rides, places for food and games. The pier is sure to elude excitement for all. I won't list all of the rides at the Pier, but there's some good roller coasters and thrill rides for all the adrenaline rush seekers and those who just enjoy a good ride lol The food offerings here are great. Lots of small eateries where you can grab something quick (corn dogs, churros, etc), and the some more sit down options towards San Fransokyo Square. There are the pizza & pasta place, and the paradise grill at the end of the boardwalk.

Yelp
A trip to Disney California Adventure isn't complete without stopping by the iconic Pixar Pier. Both beautiful in the daytime, but comes alive in the nighttime as it illuminates over the water where you can catch the World of Color show in the evening. It can be crowded, so sometimes I try to avoid when congested with people. If you've purchased Genie+ for the day, be sure to keep an eye out for the photo pass photographer as you can capture a professional photo of your Disney Day!

Yelp
Pixar Pier replaced the old pier almost 10 years ago and is a huge improvement. The lights are so pretty at night and the Pixar energy is effusive. It can get old at night tho, especially since it's by the water.

Yelp
I have to admit, I felt a little disappointed when they renamed California Screamin' to Incredicoaster because I loved the nostalgia. However, Pixar Pier has definitely become a must-visit at Disney California Adventure! I always enjoy the coaster. I haven't tried any of the food places yet, but I'm eager to visit Ariel's Grotto for their lobster nachos, ideally when the line isn't too long.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun carnival vibe. Kids had a blast winning prizes, watching the roller coaster and riding the carousel in this part of the park.

Yelp
Such a beautiful backdrop from the midway. Though there have been significant changes to Disney California over the years, the pier itself has remained the same. Why change it if it's already perfect right!? For over two decades, I've loved the picturesque views. On a perfect day or sunset, it's an ideal spot to take a picture with your family or with the one that you love. I'll be back soon. Stay beautiful.

Yelp
Pixar Pier (formally Paradise Pier,) resembles an old-time ocean front Boardwalk. Many of the original pier rides and restaurants have been remastered to be Pixar themed. Rides for all ages. For thrill seekers, there is the Incredicoaster. Toy Story Midway Mania is fun for the whole family. The is a series of virtual shooting games. Being virtual, all ages can play. Jessie's Critter Carousel is fun for the youngest guests. The ride features animals from Woody's Roundup. Pixar Pier is also home to the famous ferris wheel. Pixar Pier has other carnival style rides. Food in Pixar Pier has fun twists on carnival favorites. Hotdogs from Angry Dogs. Wings from Poultry Palace. Giant cooies at Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums. Italian food from Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff has carnival favorites such as carmel and candy apples, marshmallows, frozen drinks, cereal treats, and other goodies. Frozen treats from Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. Lamplight Lounge is the exception. Lamplight Lounge is a gastropub. It brings an upscale element to the pier. The lounge has great views of the lake.

Yelp
The lights are GORGEOUS at night, especially just walking onto the pier or looking at the Ferris wheel. Pixar Pier is home to all the Pixar themed rides, shops, and where you can meet all the Pixar characters for their meet & greets. I have seen Elastigirl, Edna Mode, the characters from Inside Out, and Bo Peep. During Oogie Boogie Bash, Sid is there for his treat trail stop & I got to meet Remy from Ratatouille ! Super rare character that I was very happy to see. Apparently you can see Emile there too during this event. I am still sad that I have NOT met Mike Wazowski from Monster's Inc since he is my favorite, but ONE DAY. For dining options, I have been to the Lamplight Lounge (which I'm still convinced is pretty mid) and I enjoy getting a cold frozen treat at the Adorable Snowman's. The iconic Incredicoaster and Mickey's Ferris Wheel is here as well and wait times CAN get pretty long if you're not doing a return time or single rider. Same goes for the Midway Madness ride (always a popular one). There's board walk carnival games and some other rides as well, but it's a must stop for sure if you're visiting DCA.

Yelp
Almost like walking on a boardwalk Pixar Pier is modeled after the beaches' boardwalk carnival extensions that head over the water. There is a midway area complete with games and prizes. Rides in this area include Pixar pal around and Incredicoaster-(reviewed separately), Jessie's critter carousel, and Inside out emotional whirlwind. There are also fast food places for snacks, churros, and the Lamplight lounge for sit down dining. Next to Pixar Pier is Paradise gardens park. Although the theming is a bit different they offer more rides tailored to kids. It wraps partially around the lagoon facing the pier and to me would see an extension of this area since it is basically amusement park rides. Great place to walk around, play some arcade games, go on Toy Story, buy some candy at Bing Bongs or go on the Incredicoaster!

Yelp
Disneyland's Pixar Pier is really great for the kids, They added new rides and updated the area. The Incredicoaster and the Cars are the most popular and fun.

Yelp
Pixar Pier in California Adventure Disney has 29 rides including 2 roller coasters and that iconic Ferris wheel. They even have carnival games and food stands. The fireworks show is shot off from the lagoon. But when I visited the park, the fireworks show was temporarily suspended. Aww shucks. Some notable rides for the adults are the Incredicoaster and Goofy Sky School. For the younger kiddos, they would probably enjoy Toy Story Midway Mania, Jesse's Critter Carousel, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Ferris Wheel, and Floating Jellyfish. Some notable food stands are the Adorable Snowman Treats, Poultry Palace, Jack Jack cookies, Angry Dogs, Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff, and Senor Buzz Churros. Adorable Snowman has dairy-free soft serve options. Jack Jack has a gluten-free cookie option. I do not recommend the hot dog at Angry Dog, it was a disappointing value for the price. But the food stand has a cool statue of the character Angry from the Inside Out movie. Stop by to take a selfie. Speaking about selfies, check out Bing Bong's Sweet Shop. There is a huge colorful statute of Bing Bong sitting on top of a pile of candy. Also check out the big ole Talking Mr. Potato Head in front of Toy Story Midway Mania Ride. If you are looking for a more substantial meal, check out the Paradise Grill. They serve Mexican food. They have a covered dining area and it is next to the larger tree shaded open dining patio. Both areas are open to everyone. It is terrific place to rest and hang out for a bit especially on a hot summer day. You may even see Lilo or Stitch (Disney characters) make an appearance in the gazebo in the tree covered patio area. Get this, in the other gazebo between this area and the Paradise Grill is where Miguel (Disney character) makes his appearance. You can catch Edna Mod making her appearance slyly on the pier near the lagoon next to the billboards.

Yelp
10-1-2021 Doc and I last came in November 2019 for the Festival. This time hubs joined us for our daughter's birthday celebration. We walked through the area brimming with activity, pretty lights and perhaps the Coco theme was added to one section. Park goers were on the rides and in the arcade. We had just come from dinner at Carthay Circle so no eating or riding at Pixar Pier this time. We just walked off our meal and found the perfect vantage place to view the fireworks from Disneyland as we were in California Adventure.

Yelp
Such a fun and magical part of the parks, California Adventure offers this wonderful "pier" alongside the big lagoon and features that glorious, huge ferris wheel with the iconic Mickey. How do you not love all of this? Somewhat similar to some of the festive piers plotted along the California coast, this one also has a carnival type feel to it. There are rides, carnival games and eats, plus many characters! I love strolling along the pier, especially when Woody or Buzz are out there. My inner child just feels so happy! The Pixar Pier is where you'll find the Incredicoaster which is a fast paced upside down thrill, Jessie's Critter Carousel where you can ride on top of a backwards skunk, in Toy Story Mania you can challenge your friends to a shooting gallery like duel, plus carnival games such as Bullseye Station Stampede, Heimlich's Candy Corn Toss and a couple others! This is also a great place to try some fun foods, Jack Jack cookies, Buzz's churros that are spicy (sweet is also offered), Lemon soft serve ice cream at Adorable Snowman. If you want a sit-down place that overlooks the water and has a great view of the Pier, try Lamplight Lounge. You can grab a cocktail, small plates, or even a nice meal. Great place to take fun photos, it never gets old taking a photo with the giant Mickey head lit up behind us. Definitely a great place to get festive and have some fun.

Yelp
Pixar Pier is the ultimate California Adventure photo spot. It is home to the iconic Mickey wheel that you see in every picture for this park. The updated it a lot since I last came. It is all about the Incredibles and Toy Story now. Awesome to see that they changed up the theme to make it more about the movies. Ride amazing rides and take amazing photos here!

Yelp
We love Pixar Pier - a lot of our favs are located here! First, you gotta try the Zombie alcoholic beverage and lobster nachos at Lamplight Lounge. Don't be detoured by the line outside because if you're willing to sit upstairs outside (versus climate controlled dining area downstairs), you can usually be seated quickly. They have the cutest character coasters that we always take home, too lol. The blue raspberry slush/lemon soft serve that's available at the ice-cream shop across from Lamplight Lounge is a great value! It's huge in portion compared to its price in comparison to other desserts in the same price range. The line here is enormous in summer, so be aware of that! Incredicoaster is one of our fav rides! The line is surprisingly short most of the time compared to the other more adult-ish rides. We've never bothered with single rider because the regular line always moves quickly. Toy Story Mania is super fun if you can catch a Fast Pass for it! Beware they go very quickly because this ride is fun for all ages! Of course the best part of Pixar Pier is the sunset pic opportunities (see pics)!

Yelp
The pier had been in the works for some time, and I visited the revamped pier on July 4. I was most excited for the new additions of food and the rebranded incredicoaster. We got in the esplanade around 8am and headed to DCA. My friends and I went over to the fastpass distribution to get our fast passes (since not all of us had maxpass). We had no issue getting a decent time (10.25am). We walked the long way around the pier after picking up our fastpasses to check it all out. Incredicoaster is great. Same coaster, new experience. Give it a ride. My disappointment about this "event" is that the pier was unveiled as new and exciting, but it is still only partially completed. The old merry-go-round is still under construction, the Inside Out attraction wont be completed until after Bugsland closes (they are re-purposing a ride), so there was still a lot of gaps. I did like the additions of jack-jacks cookie num nums, the chicken palace and the angry dogs hot dogs. I tried a cookie the day I was here and it was pretty good. My other half got the angry dog (spicy one) and said it was spicy. It is also served with hot Cheeto fries, but they will sub for regular lays if you request. the hot dogs also have a variety of different ketchup and mustard to choose from. I really liked the revamped boardwalk games taking the theme of Pixar films and shorts. I think they are all very cute, and I would play the wall-e game just to get MO. The la Luna game is adorable and super easy to play. just pick a star and the color determines the prize. I liked the giant luxo ball water statue. It adds a bit of cool to the area. Overall, I cant wait to go again, and I can't wait to see if finished. My review rating may change once it is actually completed.

Yelp
Today, Jan. 8th, DCA's Paradise Pier is headed off into the horizon... 'And will usher in a new chapter with Pixar Pier. **This is more of a PSA than a full fledged review. DCA has faced its challenges since opening day in 2001 but since has made attempts to remedy the situation but as Walt Disney believed, the park was to be an on going evolving process and never be truly "complete." 'And so, the adventure continues... https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2017/11/pixar-pier-to-bring-new-incredicoaster-and-more-to-disney-california-adventure-park-summer-2018/

Yelp
From the outside, it looks really wonderful. But when you go inside the park, it's even better. I came here a few years ago and literally, I thought that I was at a beach for a moment. The pier and the water made it look at it was close to the ocean.

Yelp
Pixar Pier is pretty nice. It's a pretty nice spot to take some pictures at. There's billboard's there that you can take pictures in front of. There's Toy Story Mania ride that is really fun as well as the Incredicoaster.

Yelp
As someone who loves an immersive experience and great food I was surprised how this place really doesn't live up to the hype that people made out of it. Let me explain. I will explain the problem with reservations, customer service, and the quality of the food. We had been told for quite some time that their food is amazing and more specifically that their lobster nachos were amazing. So as such in a consumerism manner my wife and I had our foodies senses going off and decided to check it out. My first issue was with the reservations which is nearly impossible to get even when you try to reserve it months in advance. We visited the park two times before we were able to get a reservation to try and see if we could walk-in. I asked if we could get could a walk-in for a party of 5 and they said there limit was 3. I then asked if we could just get seated for 3 and they stated they had no available space at that time and said I can wait if I wanted to. The two workers at the door were crass and really let it show that they did not care to be there. We weren't given any other choice but to wait which we did for 25 minutes before leaving and taking our business elsewhere. Flash forward to nearly 6 months August 2022 and we were able to get reservations for two people and had to exclude the rest of our family (party of 9). We finally made our way in and were promptly sat outside to look over the menus and felt like a beachside ambience outside. The ambience is nice and staff was quick and supportive. The food here, regardless of the hype, was subpar. We started with what brought us there in the first place: the lobster nachos. The nachos overall were rather good but they weren't amazing. We could tell the lobster was not fresh just by the taste and lacked any real seafood taste to the dish. The nachos were filling but we wanted to try at least two other dishes to justify us making our way down there. I ordered the chicken and couscous which was under seasoned but overall a decent meal. Chicken was nice and juicy and good. My wife had the poboy and it was instantly forgettable. I'm not saying the food was terrible it's just not worth the fight of hunting for a reservation for this place and the amount it costs for each item. The check finally came and as we were ready to pay I noticed a party of at least 11 not far from us and asked why they said they can only seat 3 people. We were celebrating a birthday and wanted to be able to have our family so why are there groups receiving treatment that is not offered to everyone? The waitress said she didn't know how they got seated in their party. Would I recommend this place for their experience or food? No. In my opinion the best place for great food and experience is carthay circle.

Yelp
Best part of the park. Do much to do, places to eat and more importantly, places to relax. There's the games, which has one easy one. The first: fishing for stars guarantees a Pixar Pier plushy. The others are Bug's Life, Wall-E and Toy Story. Speaking of Toy Story: Midway Mania is one of the better interactive rides in both parks. Be sure to get a Fast Pass, its line is always long. Lots of classic rides to the renamed Incredicoaster. One of my all time favorite coasters and best in the both park. Ferris Wheel is fun and relaxing, unless you choose the swaying one. That's good fun. I still crave the lemon ice cream from Adorable Snowman's and the Angry Dogs are good, just pricey. As you'd guess. You cannot make sure to see everything you can, let alone World of Color on the waterfront is way better than fireworks. Honestly.

Yelp
Best spot in California Adventure for three main reasons: 1. The view and pier is breath taking. If you are able to visit at night, watch the World of Colors show. Better than the fireworks, and they just recently fixed it! 2. The food stands and restaurants here are the best. My favorite is the place where you can get a big bread bowl of clam chowder for $15. There also several stands that serve beer and a restuarant that serves hard liquor as well ($14 double well whiskey). 3. The Incredicoaster is our favorite rude due to better wait times, the coaster is balanced between speed and turns, and the music from the movie is jazzy and chill. The only down side is that the ride may breakdown several times a day.

Yelp
This was the center of Pixar in the California Adventure Park. Here you'd find Jack-Jack's fave cookie stand, a Pixar-pals ferris wheel, The Incredibles-themed roller coaster, and much more. It was definitely one of the busiest areas within the park. If you ever visited this park, please stay till the dark to see how things would light up. Everything was gorgeous. In this Pier also they usually had the World of Colors (water dance) show (typically around 10:15 pm), so you definitely don't want to miss this.

Yelp
Pixar Pier was one of our favorite parts of California Adventures. The only complaint is Pal Around the Ferris wheel. There are cars that spin and cars that remain still. The cast member rushed us so fast we got into a spinning cart and man did it every make me sick. The vomit bags were almost needed. it made for a rough morning start. We went straight for the incredicoaster and had no line. Great time just wish the cast member would have given us the option of NOT spinning.

Yelp
My daughter and I have been Pixar fans since the invention of well...Pixar! This was such a fun experience to come here. We wanted to go on their coaster before, but since they made it even more Incredible, it was super high on the bucket list. It was well worth the trip over here! So great! I love the theming of this land, so many great characters to draw from! The coaster even poked fun at the fact that it was a previous ride. Then we had the iconic Jack Cookie Num Num chocolate chip cookie, so hot, ooey gewwy, and delicious. I would travel here just for another bite. The Toy Story areas is wonderful. We went on the Jessie Merry-go-round the Toy Story Mania rides, two thumbs up for each. Then headed over to another bucket list food item, the multicolored awesome slushie at Bing Bongs. I loved the Inside Out theming and rides. We did not get a chance to ride everything since there was so much to do in California Adventure in general, so we had to pick and choose our favorites first. I would have liked to have spent even more time here. There were many other things to eat, buy, play, and experience. You could probably spend half a day here in this land alone. I loved it!

Yelp
I know a lot of people don't like change, but leave it to Disney to change what was good into something even better! Sure Paradise Pier was pretty good, but it was pretty much a hodge podge collection of Californian stuff with a few Disney things thrown in. I like that it is now a collection of everything Pixar. I might be a little biased as Toy Story, Up, and the Incredibles are some of my favorites.

Yelp
Located near California Screamin. I came here since my daughter wanted to go on the roller coaster ride. I'm not a roller coaster girl because I get motion sickness easily. They serve Soft Serve Ice cream but there are only two flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, or Swirl. You have a choice of getting it in a cup or cone (Regular or Large). Other than Ice Cream they also have Floats, Coffee, and beverages. You order at a window then pick it up at the next window. ~Note: They don't have kids size scoops ::Dessert:: We got one Vanilla Swirl on a cone but requested to split it into two cones. The ice cream was thick and smooth; the Vanilla flavor was good. The staff also creates a nice swirl; the portion was tall and thick. ::Customer Service:: We ordered and got our ice cream. ::Rating:: For the flavor, quality, portion, and size... it's a deal especially being in California Adventure! Customer Service was just "ok". I'm giving it 3.5 Stars and rounding it off to 4 Stars. We liked the ice cream! ::M's Notes:: No seating area

Yelp
**Located inside DCA** Be wary of those reviews and pics from 2010! They changed a lot since then.. It is now 2015, the 60th anniversary! Unfortunately, they don't sell dipped cones here, but they still have the creamy soft serve ice cream - vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. They also sell floats here - root beer, Fanta, coke, sprite, etc. One float is huge.. Unless you're greedy like me, you might want to share with someone else ;) You'll see from the photos that this ice cream shop is located across from Ariel's Grotto - behind the shop. It's at the turn of the pier before you get to California Screamin'.

Yelp
One of the best soft served ice cream I've ever had. It didn't melt quickly, which I really liked. It was perfectly silky and creamy but not cloyingly rich nor sweet...it was just right! The portion was generous for a smaller cone, too. And it was a perfect treat while waiting in line for rides and, no, I wouldn't suggest indulging in this right before going on California Screamin'. LOL

Yelp
My favorite ice cream at California Adventure! It is so smooth and creamy, I love it. They don't have it at Disneyland, so it is a must if you are at California Adventure. 1. It's ginormous. The large size is as big as my face. Make people jelly with your giant ice cream. 2. It's cheap. The large is only $4, and not that much more expensive than the regular size. The regular size is plenty for one person. 3. Get the swirl. The only options are chocolate, vanilla, and swirl for a tornado of both. When they opened Carsland, they started serving the same soft serve ice cream at one of their cone food stands. I still like to think that this one is more awesome.

Yelp
Yummy floats and soft serve ice cream. Quick service, great views of Paradise Pier and a refreshing stop for ice cream when it's super hot out. Grab yourself a coke or a root beer float!!! No annual pass discount here. :(

Yelp
Pixar Pier is the latest iteration of Paradise Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. The Pixar theme is incorporated throughout the area with a complete retheme on the rides, storefronts, games, and food. Pixar Pier looks awesome. Currently Pixar Pals formerly known as Mickey's Funwheel, has been repainted with your favorite Pixar characters. What was California Screamin' is now the Incredicoaster, complete with new storyline. There is new food as well. Lemon Dole Whip can be found at the Snowman treats stand. Angry Dogs is sponsored by none other than Anger (from Inside Out). Get your churros at Señor Buzz. Right under the Incredicoaster, there's a cookie cart where you can get 3 types of cookies. The Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num is the giant chocolate chip one. There will be a Bing Bong's candy palace adjacent to the Pixar carnival games area. Leave it to Disney to take something old and rebrand it with something new. Check it out if you haven't been; it'll still be there long after PixarFest is done this summer.

Yelp
Paradise Pier is a section of DCA that has a lot to offer. When I think about spending days out at the Santa Monica Pier, I'm led to believe that Disney did a great job as they brought all of the elements that one would expect to find at the pier into the setting at DCA. Mickey's Fun Wheel takes center stage because it's so massive! California Screamin' is also quite massive and really blends in quite well with the colorful, brightly lit Fun Wheel. You can shop along the boardwalk or play a few games. Don't forget to satisfy your taste buds while munching on a churro or even letting some cotton candy get stuck between your teeth! World of Color takes place here and this area can become quite congested after 6:30pm. Don't forget to say hello to Donald who is stationed next to Ariel's Grotto.

Yelp
A nice makeover from Paradise Pier. Others may miss the California theming, but I'd prefer a theme with familiar characters. While the area behind Mickey's Fun Wheel looked incomplete by the time my family came, I'm sure the Pier will look a lot better when it's finished later in the year.

Yelp
A picture is worth a thousand words, so may I present exhibit A (warning: please protect keyboard from inevitable drool): http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/paradise-pier-ice-cream-co-anaheim?select=ao-excsPEoTrLHEIqD8h5w#I_iQkQkoDyM2FWtjFThazQ. Here's the crazy part... it tastes even better than it looks! The hotter the day, the longer the line, where you'll be fully exposed to the sun's awesome rays. But trust me, it's worth it. Get the large soft serve for $4! PS Thanks, Disney, for charging an arm, leg and house mortgage for our annual passports, so we're bamboozled into thinking that $4 for a large cone is a great deal.

Yelp
My family and I love walking around through Paradise Pier at Disney's California Adventure Park. It is a themed area based on Victorian boardwalks that were once found along the coast of California. Despite it's name, it's not actually a pier, but a waterside area of the park. The roller coaster California Screamin' covers most of the area and other attractions, games, restaurants and shops are scattered around it. Some of our favorite attractions here include Toy Story Midway Mania, Mickey's Fun Wheel, and their amazing evening water show, The World of Color. The wide sidewalks and large open air spaces make you feel less cramped and crowded walking around in comparison to the lands in their sister park, Disneyland.

Yelp
A solid 4.5 stars. Or at least it was......UNTIL THEY CHANGED ALL OF THE AWESOME FLAVORS. Now, instead of having cotton candy and bubblegum....they only have chocolate and vanilla. I am hoping this is temporary. I hope that once all of the tourists go away, we can return to the awesomeness that is the off season, and I can get my lovely blue swirled cotton candy cone back. Until then....2 stars.

Yelp
I don't really like eating ice cream when it's hot. I like a giant double scoop on a cold day so that I can take my time eating it. But here we were at Disneyland on a hot hot day, standing in line for ice cream. I decided just to stick with water, but my husband ordered a root beer float and I ended up sharing it with him. It was really, really good. The prices were good and the float was yummy! We were lucky there wasn't much of a line ahead of us so we were only standing in the sun a few minutes before getting our order.

Yelp
Paradise Pier, one of the eight districts inside Disney California Adventure. "Pier" in name only, is a the area that surrounds Paradise Bay, the large body of water which hosts World of Color nightly. Paradise Pier takes inspiration from the old pier side amusements that once adorn the coastline of California. When Disney's California Adventure first opened in 2001, Paradise Pier was mainly a cement "pier" and nothing really stood out that would take you back to the old seaside pier amusement. Of course, the main draw on Paradise Pier was (and in part still is) the big roller coaster that spans the distance of the Pier district, California Screamin'. After years of never living up to the hype of Disneyland, they knew they needed to start investing in Disney's California Adventure needed. Skip ahead to 2006, Mali-burritos and Strips, Dips 'n' Chips closed for the construction on Toy Story Midway Mania, which would open two years later in 2008. Toy Story Midway Mania's themed housing redefined the look and feel of what the 2001 version of Paradise Pier was going for. The opening and success of Toy Story Midway Mania made it possible for Disney to invest and reinvent Disney California Adventure. It was decided to make over Paradise Pier. With the Victorian era themed building of Toy Story Midway Mania, many areas around the Pier had to be redesigned or taken away. The Sun Wheel became Mickey's Fun Wheel, The Orange Stinger became Silly Symphony Swings, Mulholland Madness made way for Goofy's Sky School and The Games of the Boardwalk were rethemed completely with references to Casey (from the animated short Casey at the Bat), Dumbo, Goofy, and Bullseye (from Toy Story 2 fame). The Malliboomer, which was located near Mickey's Fun Wheel was taken away as it didn't fit in the the theme Disney was going for. The area that once was the home of the S.S. Rustworthy, Burger Invasion, Pizza Oom Mow Mow is now the dinning location of both Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta and Paradise Garden Grill. The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure was a new attraction built for Paradise Pier The Pier has come a long way from the 2001 version and tries better to capture that seaside amusement of days gone by

Yelp
After eating two of the most awesomest corn dogs know to man (please see Corndog Castle review), my sweet tooth was looking for a little love. I had a hankering for one of them Mickey shaped ice cream sammiches at the carts, but alas-- I am a California girl and thus I had no cash. The boy asked the cart attendant if there was an ice cream place that took credit and we were directed to either Catch-a-Flave or Burr Bank. Since we were closer to Paradise Pier, we decided to catch out Catch-a-Flave. By far, one of the best decisions of the day. Not only is it cheaper than the $4 ice cream at the carts, but I think it lasts longer and it's entertaining! Call me a simpleton, but I am highly amused by the swirl in my ice cream and with the 8 or so flavors you can choose from, everyone's tastebuds can be satisfied. At first, I thought it was a run of the mill soft serve yogurt swirl shop. It's not-- it's soft serve ice cream with a flavor swirl mixed on to the side. Even after you lick it off, the flavor is still in there. I got the chocolate swirl. Smooth, creamy, rich. What's not to love? Buy a cone and enjoy it as you hear "3-2-1, BLASTOFF!" along the pier... followed by a few terrified screams. There's nothing like it.

Yelp
It'll be sad when this place is completely revamped and turned into Pixar Pier. This past weekend when I was there, it was already going through some intense construction & renovation. It'll look much better when the new attractions & Pier debuts on 6/23/2018. Can't wait!
