The 12 Hottest Restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"When Pizza Baby East recently launched its $5 grab-n-go pizza slices Monday through Friday — lunch got more interesting. The $5 slices are thin-crusted cheese, garlic white, or pepperoni pizzas, but for a few more bucks, try the thick, focaccia-like, rectangular Roman-style slices, which are not skimpy. This little shop, with an easygoing neighborhood feel, churns out fresh sourdough, cracks open chilled reds regularly, and really checks both the midday lunch and casual dinner boxes." - Kayleigh Ruller

10 Best Pizza Restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"This pizza restaurant in the Elizabeth neighborhood serves up both New York and Roman-style slices, along with 14” to 18” whole pies. Choose a traditional Queen Margherita or from an inventive menu featuring a Sicily pie with mortadella and prosciutto, a rosemary chicken pie, or a Hawaiian Lu’au with ham, pineapple, and jalapeño. The sauce is just salty enough, and the firm but supple crust hints at the love put into its 72-hour cold-fermented pizza dough. Beyond pizza, there’s a thoughtful lineup of European wines, and a cooler-than-cool ambiance that requires a reservation ahead of time; otherwise, prepare for a little wait." - Shindy Chen

The cutest little shop with good city views + indoor and outdoor seating. The environment here is EVERYTHING! People were so welcoming, coming in felt like I was already a regular. Truly the kindest people work here. Add to that the food was amazing, completely worth the time and money. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Some of the best pizza in Charlotte! We order from here 2-3x per month. The only pizza place we are consistent with. The rosemary pizza with pistachios is some of the best I’ve had. And great salads as well. Isaac, who works there is also wonderful. Highly recommend all around.

Heard all the hype for here, decided to finally give it a try. Overall - no real complaints but wasn't blown away either. Basically, good not great. A little pricey for pizza (got the fat mozzarella appetizer, 3 sodas, a slice for me, and a slice for both my kiddos) and spent $80 so close to $100 after tip. Service was good and the space has a cool vibe (although indoor seating is limited).

Went for the first time today. Got the mother pizza and then shared a chicken cutlet sandwich. Everything was outstanding. The only thing I would say is that on the pasta salad it’s a little dry, so a little more vinaigrette would be good. Other than that, everything was really great including the service.

Craving a perfect family day trip? My crew and I recently ventured from Raleigh to Charlotte, and our culinary compass pointed us directly to Pizza Baby. With a menu boasting the holy trinity of pizza, wings, and salad, it was an easy decision, and a quick reservation secured our spot amidst what we anticipated would be a bustling lunch rush. Upon arrival, the vibrant energy of a packed house greeted us, but our wait was remarkably brief. The owner, whose welcoming face I instantly recognized, was a beacon of hospitality. He personally greeted us, assuring us of immediate seating, a gesture that truly set the tone. While lingering by the door, we appreciated the surprisingly clean and well-maintained restroom facilities, a small detail that speaks volumes. Once seated, our server, a wonderfully kind and knowledgeable individual (I believe her name was "Wa"), effortlessly guided us through the menu. Her expertise and calm demeanor were clearly honed by catering to large groups sitting the restaurant, making our experience seamless. Another attentive gentleman also contributed to the excellent service, though his name eludes me. Beyond the impeccable service, Pizza Baby truly shines with its offerings. Their curated wine collection, refreshing spritz menu, and, of course, the food, were all fantastic. A highlight of our visit came when we mentioned our Raleigh origins to the owner. In a truly generous move, he invited us into the kitchen, where my 11-year-old had the incredible opportunity to witness the magic of pizza-making firsthand! In short, Pizza Baby served up delicious food, an amazing atmosphere, and a top-tier experience. We're already planning our next trip back!

Google
Today was my first time visiting Pizza Baby! I saw another review that said this location had a nice neighborhood feel and I agree 1000%. I went by myself and was able to witness the amazing connection between customers that knew each other as as well as ownership to the customers. As someone who considers himself a foodie and has worked in customer service since 17 years old, I have not seen so many connections in one place! The wait-staff were very kind and consistently checked up on all customers and tables. I was able to have nice moments with the table next to me and we both ended up getting the 90s supreme Roman style pizza. At one point, I asked one of the servers if their cookies were made in house and he said yes. The table beside me heard me ask and decided to get a cookie and what he brought their cookies out to them. He brought me one on the house! The table beside me was also from out of town and, a man I assume is part of management or business ownership, saw them looking at the bagels and decided to give them some to take home on the house. Truly a one of a kind experience and the taste of the pizza was exactly what I was looking for! If you love focaccia bread and love tasting real ingredients, this is the place to go!

Google
Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and our server was attentive and friendly. The Italian sandwich was delicious, but the real surprise was the Russian-style Rosemary Chicken slice — the hot honey tied everything together in the best way. We even had a chance to chat with the co-owner, who was incredibly personable and passionate. You can tell they really care about what they do. Highly recommend — can’t wait to come back!

Google
The pizzas at Pizza Baby are incredible! If you’re ordering a “slice,” just know it’s not your typical slice—it might not be obvious from the menu, but they’re totally worth it. Each one comes cut into two pieces, making them perfect for sharing and trying different pizzas. The ingredients are super fresh and high quality, which makes every bite amazing. The restaurant itself has a really cozy vibe inside, and the outdoor seating is adorable—great for a spring night. Just keep in mind that the indoor space is a bit tight, so if you’re going with a big group, the “West” location might be a better option since it’s more spacious. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

Yelp
Pizza Baby East is my favorite spots to eat in Charlotte. Hands down. We popped in here initially from a friends recommendation and we were blown away! It's cozy, welcoming, and obvious chef driven mentality. Anytime folks come to the city, I always bring them here to impress. Pro Choice: order the Negroni while you look over the food menu. They just launched their new sandwiches and both servers raved about the pastrami. Housemade bread, sauces, and the blackened crust on this melt in your mouth pastrami slice was top tier. Sandwiches come with a nice pasta salad on the side too! Another Pro- Move: order their bread loaf to go for the best sandwiches at home! 50 Top Pizza USA Guide and a true gem in the Charlotte food scene.

Yelp
Native New Yorker here...we love pizza... I found Pizza Baby by mistake when I missed a turn My pizza was a 10/10 so good and filing. I couldn't eat all of it. Crust had a nice crunch and every bite I felt like I needed to close my eyes and exhale...so good!! Service was a bit slow, alot of chit chat with guests and staff while waiting for service please work on that. Great place to come for lunch when in the area.

Yelp
After reading raving reviews about this restaurant, my husband wanted to check out this place. We met up with 4 friends, and they were able to accommodate our larger group of 6. The place didn't have much of an ambiance...as it's more of a pizzeria eatery versus a full fledged restaurant. Not only stark, it was quite small, they squeezed in a lot of tables and chairs throughout. My husband and I shared this Rosemary Pizza, and the Joyce Farms Chicken Wings. I personally loved the pizza crust...and even the texture of the pizza. Quality pizza for sure. While I loved this cheesy, white pizza, this pizza just lacked something...but couldn't put a finger on it. It could have used a bit of spice or something. Guess the word is...bland? Think with a bit more prosciutto, or a bit more sauce, it could have been stellar....but it was just good (a bit short from great?). Also, the presentation was lacking. Think I liked the pizza more than my husband...who prefers more red, tomato-based pizza. As for the chicken wings, I thought it was fresh, but so tasteless! My husband felt the same way. We both agreed that while the foods were fresh and high in quality, everything we had was kinda bland. Another couple in our group tried the Queen Margherita Pizza...and they seemed a bit underwhelmed as well. I didn't take pics of the Caesar Salad and some other items ordered by our party...but everything seemed just O-Kay at best. The weird thing is...I looked at all the pictures at Yelp prior to coming here, and I thought the pizza looked thick (almost too thick for my liking), but it wasn't thick at all. Maybe the pictures were deceiving...or could they have changed the formula, and are now making thinner pizzas?? I actually really liked this Aperol Spritz they had on the menu...and I think my husband enjoyed his beer (forgot what). Service was pretty good though. While the pizza did take a good 15-20 minutes, but I guess that's to be expected from a hand-crafted pizzeria like this? Our waitress had no problem keeping up with our group. She didn't even have to jot down our orders (memorized?!?). In any case, I'm glad we tried this place. I didn't hate the pizza, but kinda hated the wings. It had ZERO flavor! Overall, I just didn't feel that it lived up to expectations of this place. We both felt that we have much better pizza and chicken wings elsewhere.

Yelp
Ready for a pizza party? I recently checked out Pizza Baby, and the vibe is casual and super welcoming--the host made me feel right at home! The server was swamped but she made it a priority to check on us. I started with their mule pizza baby style and it was very tasty. Honestly, I'm not much of a pizza person, but Pizza Baby is a serious opportunity for a delicious change of heart. I went all in on the Supreme style pizza and paired it with a fresh, caesar salad -covered in crunchy house made croutons. So if you're having a craving for pizza, go to Pizza Baby!

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE Pizza Baby. This was my first time visiting but I plan to stop in whenever I'm in Charlotte. The restaurant is cute and cozy. I sat right next to the window and in front of the shelves of wine, it was such a vibe. For food I ordered the Queen Margherita (whole pie) and the Rosemary (Roman Style slice). A Roman Style slice is more than enough for one person but I wanted to be greedy and try a couple options. Both pizzas were delicious but the Rosemary was a great blend of flavors I'd never had before. I also tried the Little Gem Caesar salad. The salad had hearty pieces of romaine lettuce with just the right amount of dressing. I tried both the Hugo Spritz and the Limon Basil Spritz for drink options and both tasted great. The service was great, multiple staff members approached me to see if I needed anything during my time there and my waitress was super attentive. Parking is super easy, there's a free lot with plenty of space right across the street. I visited on a weekday shortly after the restaurant opened at 11am, so it wasn't too crowded. Will definitely visit again!

Yelp
I LOVED that blanco pizza and can't wait to go back for it. I met up with a friend and already had water when I showed up. We decided to try a few slices and were NOT disappointed. The place is small but not too loud and we were tucked away in a cozy area. The servers were attentive!

Yelp
This is exactly what incredible pizza should taste like. The queen margherita had the perfect amount of that sweet tangy pizza sauce, the right crisp on the crust (and great undercarriage btw), all balanced by the creamy mozzarella. And that pesto? Something I'm convinced every margherita pizza needs from now on! The Roman Sicily slice was nothing short of fantastic either - the fluffy and crisp crust, almost reminiscent of focaccia, is the perfect bed for the smorgasbord of toppings it comes with. The stracciatella melted with pools of the Calabrian chili oil is something I would like to write a love letter to. Overall, I would 100% come back & can't wait for my next experience. Pizza Baby, keep it up!

Yelp
Heard about Pizza Baby and simply had to try it. We went to Pizza Baby East. This is a dine-in or take out restaurant. Its small but there is you have the option to be seated inside and out. When you go to their east restaurant the pizza is a Roman-style pizza. I love pizza so I had to try both options. I ordered the Mother pie and the Roman Mother. The Mother pizza is the traditional style pizza. Huge crusts! Personally I liked the Roman Mother. It is created using focaccia bread. It was very tasty. Pizza baby east is in a perfect location for those working or visiting Presbyterian Hospital. Its just a short walk from the main entrance. We will be back. Thanks for a great experience.

Yelp
I decided to try Pizza Baby after looking at the pictures and reviews of their mortadella sandwich. I had very high expectations going in, but after arriving, I realized that my expectations would be exceeded very shortly. As planned, I ordered the mortadella and burrata sandwich. It was promptly delivered to my table, and it was beautifully toasted. After just one bite, I realized that this sandwich was truly special and elevated the ingredients such that you would have thought you were sitting in a café in Florence. It was expertly prepared and made the most of the mortadella. It was paired beautifully with the arugula while the burrata added luxury to and already incredible sandwich. Since the experience with the sandwich was so good, I had to try a slice of the Roman pizza. I am sure their American style pizza is great, but under no circumstances would I order anything but the Roman style. I had the Sicilian, which was the perfect marriage of ingredients and took my breath away. This lunch was accompanied by a Caesar salad that was also expertly prepared. I could not give this restaurant a higher rating. While I was there, I met the owner and he was incredibly personable and clearly has a passion for what he does. This will become a place that I routinely revisit.

Yelp
Italian cafe setup in Elizabeth serving focaccia bread pizza? Yes please! Park on the nearby lots or on the street and you're in for a treat. Walk in to a small cafe with a bar and you're greeted with a smile. The wall is full of wine and olive oil which set the vibe of the restaurant. Sandwiches and shareables were available but I was here for the pizza. Focaccia bread gives a thicker base which holds up to the unique combinations. The tartufo with pine nuts and truffle cram offers a great combination- not your traditional slice but something delicious and memorable. If you're seeking unique combinations and a memorable, slower experience spend some time at Pizza Baby East.

Yelp
I wanted to like Pizza Baby so badly, but nothing wowed me. Their bread is good, but that's about it. Hate to say it.

Yelp
This place is amazing This was my second visit. The menu can be confusing for pizza but they take their time with you to make sure you get what you want The Roman style pizza is my favorite I took it home for my wife to try and then brought her back and we enjoyed it fresh together The bread and much more is all made in house They have draft beer , wine and cocktails. My wife had the espresso martini and loved it Their cheese is so good The wait staff is great as well
google avatar

Leonardo C.

Yelp
Tried the Sicily which had good flavor but the bottom had no crispiness, so no contrast in texture and was barely warm. Which is odd since took at least 15-20 minutes to be served. At the end was disappointed and was really hoping for great focaccia which this was not.

Yelp
The Rosemary pizza is divine! Didn't try anything else but I could eat this every week. Place smelled great, nice location- plenty of parking and friendly staff. and ROSEMARY PIZZA!!

Yelp
I don't say this in a cavalier or unprepared manner, maybe the best pizza I've ever had. It is profoundly perfect.

Yelp
Pizza Baby East is OUTSTANDING. And this is coming from a gal who doesn't eat pizza or sandwiches very often because of the carbs and calories. My husband and I went there for lunch on a quiet Monday. I had the Mortadella, Burrata, and Arugula sandwich with their daily side, a Caesar salad. My husband had the Roman-style (i.e., single slice) Sicily pizza, with added pepperoni. Even though they make their sliced pizza fresh to order, we only waited ten minutes for our lunch. While my husband usually favors thinner crust pizzas, he loved the Roman-style thick crust at Pizza Baby East. It was very crispy, and the toppings were just perfect (especially the mortadella and chili oil!). His pizza was cut into two large pieces that were a perfect portion for him. For $10 (plus $2 for the added pepperoni), this was a great lunch deal. My sandwich was served on crispy homemade bread, with lots of arugula. The pesto and burrata added great flavor, and I only wish there were a little more of these two ingredients. Regardless, my sandwich was absolutely amazing. The salad was similarly good, made with obviously homemade dressing and crispy croutons. Their portions are generous, and I took half of my sandwich home. This sandwich was absolutely worth the $14 cost, including a side. The staff were very friendly, and the chef even came over to see if we were enjoying our lunch. We responded with a resounding YES. FYI - if you order a Coke, you'll get a bottled version from Mexico. Yay - no high fructose corn syrup in their Cokes! Parking is easy (and free!) in the large lot across the street. We'll definitely return!

Yelp
U want great pizza , this is the place Great service , get the Caesar salad If ur going to eat in , expect a wait , but it is worth it

Yelp
Mixed opinion on this. Ordered one of these delicious looking sandwiches while my wife had the wings. Sandwich is a solid 4/5 and I would order it again. My only complaint is that the pesto is a bit too overwhelming and I probably would have liked to see a bit more meat and cheese in there instead. I can deal with it but my wife said all she was tasting was pesto. The wings on the other hand were not the greatest. 2/5 for that, and they were fairly tasteless and not as tender as I would have hoped. I would stay away from them. Takeout only. I recommend you come try the sandwiches and see for yourself.
google avatar

Kenny C.

Yelp
I've only been here one time, and it was to pick up some pizzas and wings to go. I got a Queen Margherita with pepperoni, and a Paradise Island. Both were amazing. I wasn't familiar with "Roman" style pizza before, but I'm a fan. I'm down with the thicker dough, and premium ingredients - it feels like they want to create really high quality pizzas here and I appreciate it. Bonus for the pesto over the top on the marg, it was delicious. The wings were solid too. All around 5 star experience and I'm looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Pepperoni Pizza: (4/5) - Pepperonis were great (and big). RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Definitely getting this again) 4 - Good (Would get it again) 3 - Ok (Might give it another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! The pizzas are huge and the food was very good. Our server was wonderful and she be a reason to go back! It's a small restaurant and dark, it's a very romantic feeling and we would go back for sure

Yelp
I'm always up for trying different types of pizza and I was able to check this place out during the week. This location serves what they call a Roman style pizza by the slice using house made focaccia bread and the Americana pizza using cold fermented pizza dough both free of additives/preservatives and seed oil free. I ordered the Queen margherita(red base, pesto, mozzarella, basil) and the crust was light and fluffy but crunchy....not sure how to explain but everything was super fresh and flavorful....an exceptionally well made pizza!

David H.

Yelp
Unbelievable hospitality! Great service! Great food! Easy pick up. 5/5 overall experience! As advertised. the crust was very thick on outer part and very thin in the middle . The texture was thin and floppy to thick and crunchy crust . The sauce is explosively tasty ! The cheese was out of this world good! They have real potential on the pizza scene! Just looking at the pie it's a solid 7.5/10 could easily be a 9+ with a few tweaks but thats just to my taste .

Yelp

Yelp
I was so excited to try Pizza Baby. We got there early and were seated with no issues. The place is small, the wait staff literally have no place to go besides the front counter. We ordered the wrapped dates appetizer, Chicken cutlet sandwich and a Roman Sicily Slice. The cutlet sandwich came out first. My son took a bite, made a face and said it was dry. The fact that it came out first made me uneasy, like it was someone else's order or a mistake so they just served it to get rid of it instead of making a new one. The cold pasta salad had more flavor than the sandwich. He didn't finish the sandwich, it went home to the dogs. The appetizer then showed up, we ate that. It was good. We waited 20 minutes for the Roman Sicily slice. It finally showed up, we each were able to take a bite, then had to get a box to go since we had tickets for a show. The slice was hot, looked great and really good, it had a good flavor. Several staff members asked how we were doing, refilled drinks and were very polite. Go for the pizza.

Yelp
Ok to start off I had TY as my server. Things went a bit rocky but TY fixed it all so because of his service that's a 5. Than pizza no flop very good fresh ingredients perfect crisp. My son does not rate Charlotte pizza but he put this at 8.1. The meatballs were good wings were tasty and it has a nice ambiance. Fresh look and modern will return!

Yelp
My car salesman raved over this pizza. I was more than excited to try it out! I was let down, nothing to rave over. First of all $14.08 for a slice of meatball pizza is steep! I could have had a whole pie from Portofino's and enjoyed it! It was overcooked, the crust was thick and the sauce definitely wasn't screaming $14. The sauce is everything. It can make or break a pie. It just seemed to be missing something. Not too sure what. It did taste a little better with the roasted garlic. The meatball wasn't that great either. It tasted weird and it looked undercooked. I'm pretty sure it had pork in it. I would be willing to try it again. Maybe it was what I ordered, but I don't think so. lol

Kelly F.

Yelp
This pizza place was recommended highly by a neighbor so I had been wanting to try it for some time. A friend and I went there for dinner on a Wednesday. The place was busy and it seems a lot of people were also ordering takeout out. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni. The pizza seemed to take a long time and when it arrived the crust looked burnt. We were very hungry and neither of us said anything about the burnt edges. The added pepperoni was an additional cost around 5.00 and there were only five pepperonis on the pizza. They were large but not enough for the price. The pizza was not good. Crust very thin, burnt and crunchy. I would not recommend this place.

Cynthia R.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while on lunch break. I was greeted and seated immediately since place was pretty empty at that time I went abt 2ish. I ordered wings and they were just ok for me. Didn't have a wow factor. But very cute spot for a date night or girls night considering they had quite a few wine/drink selections.
google avatar

Yelp
The Pesto Pistachio Focaccia Pizza is what lured me in and it did not disappoint. It was delicious! It's by the slice so it's pretty good size for $11.00. The wings were good too with just the right amount of spiciness, but they're VERY overpriced at $16.00! We ordered ONE bottle coke $5.00 and took home a dessert $10.00. Over $60+ for a lunch experience is very expensive and takes away from the good experience, because you leave feeling ripped off. The service is VERY slow and it seemed like they only had one server (WAH) and she is NOT efficient at all and cannot multitask. You can tell she becomes overwhelmed with simple tasks. It's just pizza and sandwiches, the service shouldn't be so slow. Overall, we would return, but only for pizza and water, cuz it's just too freakin expensive! The ambiance is a bit crowded and the layout seems cluttered.

Yelp
I ordered sandwiches from Pizza Baby for a birthday celebration and the entire process was easy and stress-free! Steven and Tory were great to work with and the sandwiches were a hit! Everyone wanted the contact information to use them for their next event. Give them a try today!

Yelp

Yelp
Top 50? Really? Margarita Americano was ok. Server didn't point out Americano vs Roman style so we got American round rather than the Roman style we had come for. Pizza took 40 mins after ordering.

Yelp
Quickly becoming my new favorite pizza place in a city full of new pizza concepts! Located on Elizabeth Ave., in between the CPCC campus and Novant Presbyterian hospital, and surrounded by other favorites like Elizabeth Creamery, Custom Shop and the Visulite Theatre, Pizza Baby is authentic thin crust pizza using only the finest and freshest ingredients. The menu is small, but I believe in restaurants who do one thing very well. Pizza Baby always knocks it out with an atmosphere that feels like it's straight from Sicily, a perfect background for an excellent meal as you watch people walking by on one of the most pedestrian friendly streets in town. The service is always on point, as the staff is friendly and attentive. They also serve fresh baked breads like focaccia and sourdough, along with coffee and espresso. Don't miss this gem next time you're in Elizabeth!

Yelp
Have been here twice now and have had great meals both times. The pizza is consistently delicious and I enjoyed the mortadella sandwich recently. Great low-key date night spot! Small tables

Yelp

Yelp
We went after a soccer game about an hour before they closed. The service was spectacular and the pizza was perfect!

Yelp
Yikes! I had heard so many good things about this pizza. We ordered 2 pizzas. They both were cold and one was burned. We won't be going back.

Bruce A.

Yelp
The friendly crew made us feel we were having lunch with good friends. Our meatball Subs were made with great care and you could taste the high quality Italian tomatoes and great cheese. We will come back for one of the beautiful pizzas we saw bring sliced up for hungry patrons. Pizza Baby also has the benefit of being a neighborhood place where people run into friends and end up sharing pizza and conversation.

Yelp
Love my pizza anywhere I go always try to find the best pizza in town. This place was recommended and it did not disappoint. Pizza was very good. We had a large group of people so we ordered multiple pizzas and got to try all different kinds and everything was excellent the ricotta cheese pizza was awesome! Besides pizza the biggest surprise for me was how much I enjoyed "bacon wrapped dates"' lol I never even knew that was a thing but let me tell you you have to try it here!! Definitely recommend this place and also recommend calling ahead if dining in its a very small place and it gets busy we made reservations the day before because we had a large party

Yelp
OMG. So I've now been to both Pizza Babys, but THIS Pizza Baby is the STAR. Why? Because THIS Pizza Baby offers Roman-style pizza. I got the Sicily and was literally speechless. The dough/focaccia base was light and fluffy, but there was still crunch and crisp. The toppings were so fresh, expensive-tasting, and delicious. I especially loved the oozing, stringy stracciatella. I was in heaven. HELPFUL TIP: The menu says "one" slice of Roman-style Sicily pizza for $10, but they really give you two GIANT, GENEROUS squares!! Lastly, the inside of Pizza Baby is quite tasteful and perfect for dates. For example, they have cloth napkins and Oneida silverware. :)

Yelp
Such a cute and delicious dine-in pizza spot. Great for a date night! Menu is simple and very affordable. Great service.

Yelp
meh..... basic margarita slice very good. Pesto definitely tasted a bit off- whole garlic cloves on the pizza too- not too sure about that. family loved the meatball sub. drinks had little to no alcohol. super expensive bottled tiny coke. maybe would return for a basic slice but that's it. service- ok. crowded tables, not cleared, slow to greet..... would maybe give 3.5- but def not 4.

Yelp
Most consistently great pizza in town. Unlike many "fast food" pizza parlors Pizza Baby uses only the finest ingredients to ensure quality second to none. Tastes great too!

Yelp
Unpopular opinion alert .... Been wanting to go forever based on the great reviews. I get why it's 4.8 rating: pizza baby has classic Instagram appeal. But this review is going to be on three things: ambiance, food, service. Ambiance 3.5: cramped and chaotic. Came in later on a Saturday night and s*it was everywhere. The service countertops were full of random waiter notepads, glasses, and assorted other random items. The espresso machine had dirty dishes all on it, clearly from making drinks and just keeping the dirty cups and towels there. The tables themselves are very small, barely large enough for the pizza to sit on. That's ok, but it adds to the cramped factor. I did think the aesthetic was lovely, but it was messy. Food 2.0: this isn't good quality pizza. I'm sorry, it's just not. The dough tasted hoppy and dense, which happens when it's over proofed. The sauce was fine, meh at best. I like a true crushed tomato only sauce but this tasted like tin and needed some salt. The cheese, ok it's cheese. That was fine. But overall the bite was disappointing. It looked amazing in the box, again, ready for Instagram. But the local food critics who KNOW what they are talking about were right. This is a poor attempt at NY style pizza. Gotta fix that dough though - so bad. Service 5.0: everyone was very friendly and nice. No complaints there!

Yelp
My name is Dr. Orange and I'm an addict. I'm addicted to Pizza. My addiction started as far back as I can remember. Growing up in New York - Well, the rest is history. I've had them all! - Believe me when I tell you I've had them all. My Barber @ Caliber Men's Grooming in Charlotte (Brian L.)- had to tell me about this place. I will not forgive him! Pizza Baby - might quite possible be one of the best Pizza's I have had in my entire life. Hands down - This may be the best Pizza in the Carolinas. My Wife only allows me to have the Margherita; - "Most Days" - we order an 18" Margherita with Fresh Garlic / Well Done. No Flop! - Crispy - Absolutely unbelievable. Confession - We are guilty of not leaving the house and have never actually visited any of the Pizza Baby Locations - Out "Knowledge" is through the Daily/Countless Door Dash orders that we place. The Menu is simple; the Pizza design is simple. Don't be a schmuck and make it complicated. Kudos! - You must try! Pizza Baby - Charlotte, NC is truly out of this world! L'Chayim!

Yelp
Everything was unreal. It's such a cute space. Small, but so cute. We got the Caesar salad and it was one of the best we've had. The Roman individual slices were exceptional. We got the ricotta and chicken sage. The chicken was really good but the ricotta was next level. One of the best slices we've had. The chicken cutlet sandwich was also amazing. Kind of a mustard tang aioli. Can't wait to be back
