"Run by a pair of veteran pizzaiolos, Pizza Cassette will continue to provide a menu of wood-fired pizza that ranges from a classic margherita made with house mozzarella to the Hornet’s Nest topped with soppressata, jalapeno, Thai chili oil, and honey, and the Sausage & Citrus that incorporates housemade fennel sausage, spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, lemon, and olive oil." - Candice Woo

I feel really late to the party on experiencing this place - great vibe, good food, live music. Love the courtyard with multiple complimentary businesses, seat yourself with counter ordering. Its a great place to meet up with friends. I actually discovered them on my Instagram when they were featured by a local food influencer account and started following. When I saw a reel on their special of the week (Notorious F.I.G.) I was finally prompted to check it out. Pie prices are steep but on par with most good pizza places these days. Their special hovered close to $30. I would say the pizzas are larger than a personal size, a modest shared pizza for two (esp. if you are ordering other things). Sadly, they ran out of burrata for the evening so my pizza wasnt really as intended. I inquired about some fresh mozz instead which they brought over but that was cold slices. Still not quite the same but they tried to be accommodating. My pizza was an "eh" opinion (its honestly more flatbread), esp for the high price tag of ingredients I didnt get to experience fully. Thank goodness we also got the Fungadelic (salami, mushroom, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, shallot) because that pizza is BOMB. Wow delicious. I would come back every time for that one. The evening we came (sunday) they also had live jazz music and it was a great vibe. Given you seat yourself, order at the counter and provide your table #, and its quick fired pizzas, it is a very efficient place for a meal. Great for a large group to not have to worry about bill splitting, and great for when you are super hungry as they are very efficient. We'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends next time! Parking is definitely challenging but we managed on the street. Plan for a bit of time there.

Google
Wonderful Sunday lunch at Pizza Cassette. Pizzas were delicious - the bread/crust is fantastic - but we couldn’t stop talking about the kale/chicken/tomato caesar salad. It’s a must-get.

Google
Don’t sleep on this pizza place. Tucked away in a charming beer garden, hides one of the San Diego’s best kept pizza secrets. Artistically crafted in every way and curated with the finest ingredients, the most water mouthing slice, you're had this side of Italy. Mwah!👌🏼

Google
Visited on a Saturday night—it’s situated in a co-op space with a winery, a brewery and a meadery, and there’s live music! The band was awesome. It gets VERY busy and you’ll wait *quite* a long time for your pizza at peak hours, but the food is worth the wait and you’ll have a great time while you’re waiting. One of the best pies in the area! Pizza Cassette needs another oven, they’d make even more money. Five stars despite the wait.

Google
The bread alone is worth going for. I haven't had their pizza yet but I assume their crust is awesome. The corned beef sandwich is probably the best I've ever had. I had it ~2 months ago, been thinking about it ever since and went back this weekend. Alas, the beef ran out; I had the chicken sandwich instead and it was great. I should dock one star for their dry brownies and a little too expensive prices, but as of Sept. 2025 5 stars still stands

Google
Pizza Cassette - Now that's a delicious pizza pie! The results are in and we both agree, Pizza Cassette is highly recommended. The crust is superb, authentic, hand-stretched and wood-fired to perfection. Just like I used to get in Sicily. My wife had the "Elvis" con prosciutto, mozzarella, parmesan, and arugula. I had the "Fungadelic" con salami, mushroom, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, and shallot. It is in The Garden where you'll find a local brewery and a winery. Everything you need for a great dinner date. It is an outdoor venue with limited canopy shade, but probably best to go as the sun is setting or later. The heat of the day can be brutal and take away from the delight of a delicious meal. Check them out, but only if you enjoy a delicious pizza! You'll find Pizza Cassette right off Morena where the I-8 meets I-5. Or you can plug "5322 Banks St San Diego" into your phone.

Google
Cool pizza place with live music and outdoor sitting. Brewery and wine tasting on site too. Parliament pizza....our family favorite. Kale with chicken salad also a must (all gone before we took a picture). Thanks Jack and rest of the pizza team.

Google
First time here and surprised by the live band playing. Atmosphere was perfect. And the pizza was great. With wine bar and a separate beer area.

Yelp
Been here twice and it's absolutely amazing! We've gotten the Rocky Top (Italian sandwich) twice and me and my boyfriend both think it's the best Italian sando we've ever had. The bread is the same as the pizza dough and is just as delicious as the filling! We got the Lemon Song pizza last time which was yummy however I prefer the red pies that we've gotten! H to the Ezzo was my favorite. Parking can be tough depending on the time. The Thursday trivia's are SO fun. There are wine, beer, and mead options for everyone. Long bench seating where you seat yourselves, no reservations. We love coming here with a group of friends! Everyone orders at the counter so easy with groups too. Only note is that we got eaten alive by mosquitoes last time we were here, so I'd recommend long clothing and closed toed shoes.

Yelp
This is the food vendor at The Garten which is an outdoor courtyard in a cluster of industrial warehouses in the Linda Vista neighborhood. There was no dedicated on-site parking lot so you had to find a curbside space on one of the side streets. Pizza Cassette was located immediately to the left when you walked into The Garten. Menu sheets were placed at the picnic tables that were set up in the middle of the common space. There was an evenly divided number of pizzas between the red pies and white pies on the bottom part of the menu. Appetizers and sandwiches made up the top half of the sheet. I wasn't hungry enough to order a pizza so I pivoted to the latter category. From the list of five sandwiches, my pick was the Korn(ed) Beef which cost a hefty $20. House brined and smoked pastrami was dressed in Swiss cheese, kohlrabi slaw, and Dijon mayonnaise. I sat a table to wait for my order which took about ten minutes. A worker handed me a wrapped package that was quite heavy. I then understood why this sandwich was priced as such because it was the largest one I have encountered in a while. The layers of meat were densely packed between the bread. It needed more slaw and dressing as I found the pastrami to be dry because there was so much. Two meals at home were what it took for me to finish consuming the sandwich. I will return and either try another sandwich or pick up a red pie as I had a positive experience at my initial visit to Pizza Cassette.

Yelp
Pizza Cassette is a great place for a large group hangout, with most of the seating outdoors. It's located in the Garten, which has a brewery and meadery too! Order your pizza, let them know your table number, and grab a drink while you wait. Pizza Cassette also has Happy Hour Tuesday - Friday from 3PM - 5PM, knocking $5 off of the pizzas. Each pizza is 14 inches and should be good for 1-2 people. Despite the long lines and pizza being made fresh, the food came out in less than 10 minutes. I tried two white pizzas, the Pork Soda and Lemon Song. The Pork Soda was really good and I'm a sucker for balsamic and arugula on pizzas. The Lemon Song sounded really interesting and I think I would've liked it more if the lemon slices weren't cooked with the pizza. The rinds left a bitter taste and we ended up picking it off the pizza. Overall, pretty decent pizza place. The sandwiches look really good and I'll have to come back and give them a try!

Yelp
The pizza here is really good, and so are the sandwiches. I attend club meetings here monthly, they are always so busy. Along with your food, you can also enjoy beer, wine and mead. Great ambiance. The reason why I am not giving 5 stars is the staff, they are ALWAYS grouchy...like every time I place an order and I have been coming here for years. Not sure why, but them get a lot of business and are always busy. The parking around here can be tricky, especially in the evening. They have a small tiny parking lot in the back or limited street parking by Floor & Decor.

Yelp
We've eaten here twice and really enjoy the food. This last time, we shared the pork belly sandwich which was quite delicious. The arugula and aioli really complemented the everything well. Their pizza dough is also really good and I really liked the bread with this sandwich, which makes me wonder if they make their own bread too. Great place to grab a bite while you have a beer or wine at the garten!

Yelp
Amaaaaazing pizza. Creative toppings. Came on a weekday night and the line was quick. You find a table first, and then give them your table number when you order. They'll bring the food to you. Also fun trivia night, great atmosphere. It's food hall style and the meadery at the garten is delicious and worth a try.

Yelp
Pizza Cassette is located inside the "The Garten." They serve more than pizzas which include apps, salad, sandwiches & desserts. The line tends to get long so just be patient! You order at the front and they give you a number so they can deliver the goods right to your table. Silverware, napkins & utensils are offered on the side of their trailer so everything you need is there. Ordered the "Queen" [$20] pizza which was their version of a Margherita pizza. It was really good- the dough they used was excellent! Not enough mozzarella in my opinion though. It was cooked to perfection- only a couple of bites had the dreaded "burnt" taste so I call that a win. Also ordered the meatballs which came with about 4-5 generous portions along with a couple of slices of bread for $14. We wanted the meatballs to be hotter- probably was forgotten about while the pizza was being attended to. Otherwise they tasted homemade which is a high compliment. Food came out fairly quickly which was surprising because of all the patrons. Prices are reasonable for quality of ingredients. Great meal!

Yelp
I needed to find a large enough spot for a birthday gathering that wasn't too fancy and could hold 15 people, and remembered seeing Pizza Cassette as a top pizza spot on a media post. We came around 6pm on a weekday and although busy, we were able to snag two rows of tables. - PARKING - Street parking along the adjacent roads. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The Garten has several vendors featured including Pizza Cassette, but also some breweries and a meadery. There are many rows of picnic tables and also standing tables - all are outdoors so bring a jacket for the colder months! After placing our order, it took around 15 minutes for food to come out, but that's not bad considering the space they had to work with for their food kitchen. - FOOD - We tried several pizzas, but my personal favorites were: 1. Sting - Nice heat level, especially balanced with the sweet hot honey 2. Elvis - I'm just a fan of prosciutto so I enjoyed this one! 3. Pork Soda - The bacon and the onion jam combination was tasty! - OVERALL - A great spot for a casual gathering, or maybe when you're just craving pizza and beer!

Yelp
Came to try Lost Cause and was pleasantly surprised that Pizza Cassette was housed within the beautiful central Garten area. Always good to have food with drinks and the menu for pizza cassette looked so wonderful. After talking through the options, our pizza was ordered and we sat, sipped our mead, and talked while we waited. One thing to know is this pizza place is inundated with orders as it is the only food place that serves three different drink businesses, so be sure to bring your patience as our pizza took over an hour. Once the pizza came, it was slightly overdone and hard, but tasted delicious. This was my first time trying this business, so I was bummed. However, the reviews for this place are very positive, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to them being so busy that day. I will definitely be back to try them again before I make any sort of final determination.

Yelp
Pizza Cassette is located inside The Garten; you can get your pizza or sandwich fix then hop over to the other side to grab some beers. Open outdoor seating on the picnic-style benches or standing tables in the middle. Pizzas were decent, although there are definitely other places I'd prefer to go to for pizza. I had the chance to try The Sting, Pork Soda, and Fungadelic, listed in order of which I enjoyed the most. The Sting had a nice kick from the jalapenos, and the balsamic drizzle added a nice touch to the Pork Soda. Parking can be a bit tough during peak hours; it's located in an industrial area so it's pretty much just scattered street parking. We managed to find a spot a block or two away though. Overall, great spot to check out if you're looking for beers, bites, and good vibes!

Yelp
Pretty good pizza but extremely hampered by the overall service/logistics, my experience at Pizza Cassette was frustrating to say the least. It's located in an outdoor patio (communal) area alongside other drink stores and when we went, there was a live band keeping the energy and atmosphere very fun and lively. Firstly, you have to find a table before you get in line to order. There are signs at Pizza Cassette that call this out but for first timers, it's not the greatest system (especially if you are dining solo) since you need someone to hold down a table (which is already hard during crowded times) while someone goes and orders. They bring the food to your table (you tell them the number) vs just being given a number+table holder which in my opinion would make things a lot easier for the guests. Plus, there were no menus readily available while waiting to order so once you get to the front, you basically are looking at the menu and deciding. We made our order and I joined our group at the table. In hindsight, the cashier didn't let us know that you have to get your own utensils/plates which were off to the side. It wasn't very obvious and the fact that they didn't say anything was not great. (Plus I had to ask where to get water which is located inside one of the other shops). We got the dessert (Pumpkin Cheesecake special) immediately. It wasn't very sweet at all which was fine, but the overall flavor was lacking. Next came the olives which were very nice and addicting! And then the waiting began. I understand that it was busy but we kept waiting for what felt like forever. After 1 hour, I went to the cashier to ask about our food and she said that we were next up. Then right after I sat back down, one of the workers came over to ask if we received everything for our order or if they missed anything. This was bizarre because it came off as they messed-up our order/lost it and didn't acknowledge or apologize for the overall wait (since the cashier literally just told me that we were up next; I highly doubt we were). And then after that happened, we finally got our 2 pizzas. The Fungadelic was very tasty and I really liked the shallots on top. They added a nice little crunch to each bite. The crust and dough were nice, but the overall pie was a bit too wet. You couldn't pick up a slice without some of the toppings and cheese falling off. The Canned Heat was good but it really needed more of the house-made hot sauce. That sauce was really good and it was lightly dressed on the pizza. This pizza had a better structure to it where it didn't fall off when picked up. If I was just given the slice of pizzas and rated it off of that, then this would be much higher recommendation, but the overall experience was not great at all.

Yelp
Finally made a visit to Pizza Cassette! Happy 3 Year Anniversary, fellas! Thank you so much, Jack for your great hospitality. We planned on bringing both of our bulldogs here to enjoy the outside patio, but, unfortunately we lost our oldest one earlier that day. It was heavy energy in our home after our loss- and we needed to take our youngest dog outside the house and on a field trip. If your visit is during the week & business hours- it's crowded with bulky flat bed trucks and minimal parking. There's plenty of parking on Sherman Street. Even with our bulldog in tow, you will find something for everyone in your party! :D We ordered Macho- Great Balls of Fire (meatballs) $14. This include three meatballs, a bit bigger than my balled up fist. Parmesan cheese shavings, basil, and fresh crostini. A good heaping serving of marinara to slop up with your bread. I've been wanting a white pie for the longest and there's a good selection to choose from! *Another bonus, in my book! Parliament $23 (White Pie) Sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, mushroom, & oregano. Hubby snagged the: H to the EZZO $23 (Red Pie) Ezzo Pepperoni, shallots, slivered peppers, sausage, mozzarella mix, organic San Marzano style tomato sauce, and fresh mushrooms. Hubby would put his shallots and peppers aside, with no interest in them. So, why let them go to waste?! I was happy to snatch them from him and put them on my slices! The pies are thin crust with some nice char from the oven. Not paper thin, great enough to fold your slice. We arrived during Happy Hour! *Daily Happy Hour 3-5pm $5 off pizzas *Peep the chalkboard for weekly specials *Gluten free pizzas *Vegan cheese available Next time I plan on visiting during the evening.

Yelp
I can't remember having a sandwich this good. The bread was perfection and every bite was so good. The pizza was also delicious. We'd definitely come back for more. They had live music and the food came out quickly after we ordered. They were super helpful once we got there to let us know how the best way to order and get a table.

Yelp
obsesssssed with the location of this pizza shop. also obsessed with their constantly changing menu! i feel like you can taste the quality of all of their ingredients, and i think for a specialty shop the prices are really reasonable. reason for taking off 1 star- for the fig pizza I was just expecting a little bit more fig but I felt it was overpowered by the cheese on the pizza. thats just my opinion tho! otherwise super solid pizza
google avatar

Jordyn S.

Yelp
Was SO excited to come back after I heard they have happy hour from 3-5pm. $5 off all pizzas is a great deal. The hornets nest is just as good as I remember. Quality pizza for great value.
google avatar

Yelp
Really cool spot, good pizza, has a meadery and brewery attached so there's a few options for drinks. I will say that it's not as family friendly as most pizza spots as Friday nights have live music where you cannot escape how loud it is. A few kids from our group were crying about how loud it was but the majority of seating is outdoors so we had no choice but to bear through it and move to a corner once one opened. The pizza takes a suuuuper long time to come out, no matter if it's a simple cheese pizza or a more complicated one. It took about one hour from ordering for a cheese pizza to come out so fair warning if you have a hungry group. Outside of that it's a cool spot

Yelp
Came her for the first time and it was worth the hype . Our pizza was fresh and flavorful . The staff was super friendly and I will definitely be coming back
google avatar

Yelp
Pizza is made fresh to order. The space is shared with other restaurants and has this common area where customers can eat and enjoy the vibe. The restaurant was at an unexpected place tucked in between commercial buildings in the Morena Blvd district. That night we were there, families, couples, people filled the tables and were enjoying a band performing. We had 3 different pizzas - Elvis, pepperoni and funkadelic. All really good - I feel what makes a pizza is there crust. Worth mentioning the band was really entertaining. If you like a place to meet and be entertained with good pies and beer. This is the place.
google avatar

Tanya P.

Yelp
k, what can I say about this place. I heard so many great things, so I had to check it out. First thing is location its odd being in an industrial area close to a storage facility also there's not much for parking. But the pizza is really good !! BONUS: Lost Cause Mead, Oddish Wine and DEFT Brewing are in the same location. Kind of a one stop shop. The first time having pizza here and it was delicious, crust was thin , fresh ingredients. We ordered the H to the Ezzo and the Elvis. The first pie was delicious the Elvis not so much it was just ok. It definitely needed more prosciutto or cut the pieces a little smaller and maybe a drizzle of balsamic. Definitely will return and try something else
google avatar

Sanam A.

Yelp
They were super nice but oh my goodness I almost choked on that pastrami maybe this is the style it's supposed to be, but it was so dry my eyes were watering. Didn't really taste any sauce and the bread was a bit thick so ended up throwing must of it away. The reviews looked amazing but unfortunately not the experience I had.
google avatar

Shaun T.

Yelp
Honestly the best sandwich I have ever had. The korned beef was incredible. The pizza was awesome too, a true wood fired pizza. Cool beer garden I can't wait to go back and try the mead and beer!
google avatar

Yelp
Was down in San Diego for a weekend trip and this was one of my favorite stops! We got the Parliament and Corned Beef sandwich and they were top tier. The meat was so tender and rich & the dough was delicious. It's a nice and spacious outdoor seating area with a meadery and wine bar partnered with them as well!
google avatar

Adrian A.

Yelp
We had: H to the Ezzo red pie Mushroom and Sausage white pie Meatball appetizer Parking here is only on the street. If you have a wheelchair, scooter or crutches, it will be very challenging. Even without disability, parallel parking was tough to find. Take a photo of the car in front of you and behind you. Someone rear ended us in the short time that we picked up our order. The pizzas are a 3 because they quickly steamed inside the box. In Italy they have boxes with steam vents and corrugated bottom. This raises the pizza, allowing the hot air to flow to prevent sogginess for takeout orders. The meatball is a definite skip. Extremely dry, very tough to chew and swallow.

Yelp
Pizza Cassette came up on our Instagram feed and it turned out to be a great recommendation. When you arrive, you grab a table which has a number stenciled on the end. You look over the menu on the table and when you're ready to order, you walk up and pay at the register. Afterwards, your food is brought to you. The are a few other businesses in this courtyard area where you can purchase beer or wine, but Pizza Cassette only sells water and Italian sodas. We ordered the Elvis, Parliment, and Salad Days. Both pizzas were really delicious and very flavorful and we all agreed we would return for more pizza. Both pizzas had six slices and were $24 each and comparably priced for similar quality pizzerias. At a cost of $12, we had higher expectations for the salad and we feel it was just okay. The dressing was very light and lacked any real flavor and we all agreed we would skip the salad next time. The food we ordered was more than enough to feed three hungry people. The courtyard has a small stage and they were setting up to play live music the night we dined, but we left before they started, so not sure about the quality of the music. Overall, we would recommend Pizza Cassette to family and friends and will definitely return. Be forewarned, this business is located in an industrial area and only street parking is available and is very sparse. We had to circle a few times until someone else left.
google avatar

Paige N.

Yelp
The pizza was good, nothing bad about it, and I would eat it again, I have just had better in San Diego especially for the prices. Around $45 for two very thin crust pies that only feed one each. The flavors could stand to be kicked up a notch. The guy taking orders sadly seemed very depressed and I had to request parm on the side.

Yelp
Amazing GF/DF pizza options! Love that they have brewery, winery & meadery all offering drinks. Service was great! The only downside is having to go to each & order & take beverages back to your table. You order pizza at the tent (by your table #) & they do deliver it when it's ready. Very unique & tasty combos. I had the Lemon The seating is outside altho' protected & there were lots of heaters so bring a jacket (or blanket) if it's chilly out. We were there on a Thurs & they were doing trivia.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this pizza place while drinking at The Garten. Great atmosphere where you can get beer, wine or cider. We got the H to the Ezzo. The sausage was very flavorful and the crust was thin.

Yelp
Just visited on Friday after work, really busy and was hard to find parking. Lots of fMily and kids running around which was lively, and a band was setting up. There were still spots for us 2 to eat. We lined up and ordered the Nduja Love Me pizza and a salad and it was a good amount to fill us up! Really great pizza, thin, great ingredients and overall great and friendly service.

Yelp
Everything so good ! Don't forget the sandwiches they make with that amazing pizza dough ...can take Togo but eating there is a great experience ..bands at night ...beer and mead places there ..cool spot

Yelp
First, the rating is really 3.5 and mostly from our pizza. The rest was pretty cool so read on ... Listed as a place that has great Neapolitan Pizza, which we were craving. I asked when we were ordering and was told its a mixture of Neapolitan, NY and kinda their own. I understand and my review is on their own style. We ordered the 'Funkadelic' for $24.00. It was a good sized pizza, 6 medium to large sized slices. Not NY large but good sized. While the crust was good, the rest of the pizza falls apart. When we picked up a slice, everything slid right off and the slice folded over. The red sauce was salty. The salami was abundant, the mushrooms not so much but they were there. Barely any onions but they were just ok. They dont have typical pizzas like a Margarita etc. I dont eat meat like sausage, pepperoni and all but 1 I found had meat or chorizo ... The sandwiches looked pretty good but we didnt have one so I cant comment. Other people seemed to be enjoying their food so maybe Im a pizza snob? We are on the hunt for the perfect Neapolitan. When we originally walked up, we werent greeted, guy at the register was standing there looking at us, didnt even say hello. Looked tired to be honest. He got better as we chatted. Service was fine, they bring the pizza to the table but you have to find your own table, get your own silverware, find the water, cups and pitchers and fill yourself. They were pleasant and service was pretty fast. The guy who delivered the pizza was all smiles : ) The ambiance is pretty cool. Most seating is outdoors and they have local musicians or singers who play 3 songs and rotate from a waitlist. The decor was fun, Halloween theme. It was clean, had connecting wine & craft beer places so the whole vibe together was fun. I am sure many people enjoyed their food as it was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. Lots of street parking as this place is over where the office and commercial warehouses are by Moreno Blvd. and the stores are closed so not a big problem parking. Honestly, we're about the food so it was a 'miss' for us but seems like a pleasant and fun place if you dont really care about the pizza or maybe you'll like their pizza but I think its a fun place to at least try once. The craft beer and wine places looked interesting too but we dont drink so couldnt review them for you.

Yelp
10/10 experience with service. They were opening the kitchen late because of how they were slammed the prior day. We decided to hang back the 1.5 hrs and have a few drinks while we waited. Big shout-out to Jack(?) who helped us out! Food was delicious and this is a cool, chill spot to be at.

Yelp
This review is solely for their chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It's an absolute banger. Stumbled upon this place on Google maps because I was craving pizza and thought I'd give them a try. I've been back a few times since and have only tried that 1 sandwich. I'd like to try more items but I crave that sandwich and it's huge.

Yelp
Delicious pizza! The crus and dough is light and crunchy, the sauce is delicious and the toppings are fresh. The service was very friendly and they had a live band on Saturday night when we were there. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
What an amazing experience! We ended up here by accident, but we're so glad we did, as this will now be our go-to pizza place when we're in SD, which is often. I ordered the Rocky Top, and it was amazing! That pepper relish is just, WOW! We ordered a pepperoni pizza for the kids, and they loved it. My 4-year-old is picky but kept saying, "More pizza, Pa! More!" It was so good, we doubled the order to go! We also had the house-made coffee cake, and that was good too. See you soon, Pizza Cassette!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic pizza and sandwiches! I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a gluten free pizza option, and it was one of the best I've ever had! My husband also loved his (huge!) corned beef sandwich. The staff was super friendly and even checked in to make sure we enjoyed the gluten free crust. I absolutely can't wait to go back for their amazing pizza and to try more of their menu. The outdoor patio setup was also a super cute atmosphere.

Yelp
I've eaten here a couple times! The pizza is delicious. One thing is that this place can tend to get super crowded on the weekends so be prepared for a wait for your food. The live music is awesome and the pizza is delicious

Yelp
This little pizza place is located in "the garden" surrounded by a mead palace, a brewery, and a place that serves wine. It's a cute place to hang out, eat, drink, and listen to music. Now about the pizza it's great! We ordered a wood fire pizza with mushrooms, bell peppers, shallots and sausage called "H to the Ezzo." It was delicious. The service was great and the pizza was good.

Yelp
Bro. My due. My man. Holy h*ck. The Korn(ed) beef sammich saved my marriage. Get it. It came super late and I think they for got about me, and I had to go up and ask and they were conveniently just then getting to it but my god. That sandwich.. made me feel things. I can't stop thinking about it.. maybe it ruined my marriage long term..

Yelp
Their pizza is so good! The moment I saw the Lemon Song, I knew I had to try them. I'm obsessed with lemons, & love when something actually tastes like lemon, & man does this pizza satisfy a citrus fiend like me. The thin slices of lemon surprisingly still have a lot of juice in them, & just add the perfect tart kick. I'm a white pizza type of guy, & this pizza made its way to my Mt. Rushmore of white pizza's. The food aside, the staff themselves is one reason to come. Their ringleader Jack is the friendliest guy around. They were all just really good dudes, & fun to joke around with. Great customer service. I will definitely be back multiple times. Come check them out. It's located in the Deft Brewery beer garden, so you can get your buzz on while listening to great classic rock.

Yelp
Great pizza and a very clean place. You need cheaper beers for people to come out to this place. No parking. You park in a dirt lot 2 blocks away

Yelp
Wow wow wow!!! The pizza was so good. Definetly get the sting pizza. If the three we got it was the best!! Perfectly spicy, fresh and delicious. H to the ezzo was also pretty good The pork soda was just ok. Didn't seem to have much pork on it but the other 2 were totally worth it. The meatball was also pretty good. We didn't try any dessert as we were so full!! The service was great. Friendly and gave suggestions. They brought it over to your table as well when it was done.

Yelp
Best place to spend a Friday night in San Diego! I got The Sting pizza and it was everything I wanted and more. The brick oven adds the perfect amount of Smokey flavor to complement the hot honey jalapeño and pepperoni. The servers are personable and flexible. It was a little crowded when I went due to the live music performance, but even after changing seats the guys at Pizza Cassette made sure I got my food asap and without issue. The atmosphere is family friendly with little kids running around having a blast. I can't wait to come back with friends and family!

Yelp
Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I will never come back here. The cashier seemed completely confused and even complained because I paid using both cash and card, as if it was something unheard of. On top of that, the guys making the pizza in the back were eating while handling food. Completely unacceptable. Who does that? Absolutely do not recommend.

Yelp
Friendly staff, comfortable environment and ridiculous food! The "lemon" pizza balanced old school flavor with new school zing and the KornedBeefPastrami sandwich belongs on a counter with NY versions!

Yelp
Terrible vibe, rude staff, and a sad excuse for a cheese plate. We stopped by hoping for a chill start to our night. Instead, we got one of the strangest, most uncomfortable food experiences I've ever had. After a harmless comment that my girlfriend is from Warren, NJ, one of the guys behind the counter got bizarrely confrontational about New Jersey geography. He actually followed us to our table to correct us and prove his point -- no joke. Over what part of Jersey is considered "south." (Warren is apparently South Jersey now). It was awkward, unnecessary, and completely killed the mood. It also made the food feel sketchy, to be honest. Tasted so bad I threw most of it out. We had ordered the cheese plate, which turned out to be mostly bread with barely any actual cheese -- a total rip-off. Between the cold, weird energy and the disappointing plate of carbs, we didn't even feel comfortable eating it. If I could give less than one star, I would. No sense of hospitality, no respect for the customer, and no understanding of what makes a good dining experience. Save your time, money, and appetite -- go literally anywhere else. (From a born and raised east coaster, who knows NY/NJ pizza and service).

Yelp
Really really impressed by their pizzas. We were a group of 4 and decided to order 3 pizzas and one salad. Everything came out pretty quickly, hot and delicious. We tried the lemon white pizza, the hot honey and their daily special with pancetta. The dough and crust were impeccable, really enjoyed it. We also ordered their buffalo chicken salad, which was also delicious. Will certainly be back

Yelp
Recently discovered this spot and love the open concept of the area with live music and games between multiple different vendors. Fun for a casual date or get together with friends. The lemon pizza was a bit far out there for our taste, but the sandwich was delicious! Definitely will return and try a different (more traditional) pizza next time. Friendly staff, fun vibe.

Yelp
I would definitely recommend getting a deep dish pizza. The regular style is sooo thin. All of the ingredients just fell right off and it was very floppy. Not my style at all. The deep dish was pretty good though. I also think it's strange that the white pizzas don't have any sauce. So I got the The Elvis deep dish style and it was decent. I wouldn't go back though and it really wasn't worth the price but that's the only food option in The Garten. That being said, service was excellent. Every staff member was really nice. And the vibe in the whole Garten area is cool.
