As a disclaimer, I feel that this type of pizza and deep dish are in totally separate categories. It's like apples and oranges - the two cannot be compared.
With that said, the pizza here was one of the best slices I've had in well over a year. It was perfect; I have no notes, and I would happily order again.
I decided to go simple this time with a slice of Margherita pizza. All around perfection! The crust was thin and very crispy without feeling like a tortilla chip. The cheese and the tomato were bold, flavorful, and fresh. The top contained fresh, hand-torn basil for maximum aroma, and a drizzle of oil. It was hot, and it was delicious!
The cost of about five bucks a slice is pretty reasonable too, considering how expensive everything else is. The service was very polite too!
Final verdict: I can remember the first time I had a slice from Regina Pizzeria in Massachusetts. That first-bite feeling...Mmm! The same thing happened here, something that is, believe it or not, quite rare with me.
