New Pizza Domenica Location Opens in Mid City - Eater New Orleans

"The new Pizza Domenica offers the same menu as the Magazine Street location, as well as the extremely popular weekday happy hour featuring half-price pizza, draft beer and wines by the glass. The location adds a weekend brunch, which Echo’s became known for after introducing wood-fired bagels to its menu. Pizza Domenica’s brunch menu will also feature wood-fired bagels, according to the Gambit." - Clair Lorell

Ordered a carry out. The garlic knots were uncooked and RAW. Like the inside dough stretches it's so undercooked. Restaurant refuses to give a refund or replace. These were $15! $15 for something we could not eat.

This has been my pizza spot for a while but today I've rediscover a love for pizza I haven't had since Slices's PGA. The new favorite: Steph's Pep Pizza. Sweet Fancy Moses, it's so good. Try it - you will not regret it! ps - I would've also posted a picture but it was devoured quite quickly - leaving no trace! Next time!

First time eating here. I always drive by, today I decided to give them a try . I must say the pizza and the wings were delicious and my waiter was super top notch his name is Michael ask for him you won’t be disappointed 👍🏽

Google
Really enjoyed our experience at Pizza Domenica. We choose this restaurant because they had a Restaurant Week menu that included vegetarian options. We didn't realize the first location we chose was take-out only so we eventually made our way over to this lovely corner of the city. Everything was super tasty including a very hardy pasta salad and mushroom toasts (that were made veggie by holding the lardo). We had the mushroom pizza which was great. We tried both the cookie and the cinnamon knots and the cookie was definitely our favorite - warm, gooey, chocolate-y. We didn't have any service issues to speak of, though our apps and our pizza did come come out within a minute of each other which wasn't ideal. Luckily we were hungry enough and the food was tasty enough that we made short work of all of it.

Google
Had nothing but good experiences until tonight. Ordered a cheese only, and it looks like they accidentally put pepperoni on it, then ripped them right off.

Mariah T.

Google
Waiter Michael was kind, attentive, and had great recommendations. Unfortunately, the pizza was cold in some spots, which was really disappointing. The cinnamon knots were much better. Portion sizes were generous and they offer to box up leftovers, though I didn’t take mine. The restaurant was loud and packed, which is expected during the 7pm dinner rush. By 8pm it was mostly cleared out and much quieter. We were seated right next to the kitchen’s double doors, so there was constant foot traffic right by our table which got pretty annoying. The chairs were honestly awful. They dug into my thighs and back and made it impossible to sit comfortably.

Google
It's a great pizza place with a great-looking happy hour (M-F 3-5pm with half off wines, drafts, and pizzas). The parking is limited for sure, but the atmosphere is fun, the staff is nice and quick, and the food was remarkable. Recommend: -garlic pizza knots- they come with a whipped provolone spread that was memorable as hell! -meatballs: you get two but they're a good size to share with 3-4 people -funghi e salsicca pizza: hear me out, look past the name. it's just amazing. truffle salami, mushrooms, garlic, and an egg or two on top. it's worth the risk for those who like to take a chance with pizza!

Reginald S.

Google
I ordered a pepperoni pizze and smoked wings. Totally was about 43 dollars for both. Definitely not worth the price for the amount of food and the quality. Pizza was good however the wings were small, didn’t taste all that great, and only got 6.

Yelp
This might be more like a 3 star review but bumping to a 4 due to great happy hour deals. Happy hour runs from 3-5 and it's nice because it's in the whole restaurant and not just a the bar. It also includes 1/2 price pizza, beer, wine by the glass and well drinks so it's basically most of the menu. We got the meatballs, Caesar salad, and a ham & ricotta pizza. Meatballs were mid. Good flavor but they needed to be a bit warmer. Salad was great! Lots of freshly grated parm on top. The star of dinner was the pizza. I don't really like ham but the description that included strawberries and honey had me intrigued. You wouldn't necessarily think that all of those flavors would go together, but they worked perfectly. We ate every last bit! Our server was nice and friendly, but I felt bad for her because she had us on one side, a table or 2 on the complete opposite side and an outside table. She almost didn't make it back to take our pizza order and we almost missed out on the 1/2 price piazza. But I don't fault her for that, just bad planning on the coverage.

Yelp
Pizza was burned. The chef came out and make it awkward showing it he burned it and pressuring us to take it. It was burned. He should have just started over. The server was 100% occupied talking with some girl at the front and some friends. They charged 3% admin fee. When asked about it they indicated it was a credit card fee. The fee however was regardless of paid cash or card. The server indicated he could take it off if really needed whispering to me like I was too broke to pay the bill. I paid the 3% but the tax is this review. Shameful experience in a nice restaurant. Only reason for 2 stars is because the place was nice and clean.

Yelp
Great happy hour deal! The pizza was light but very tasty. The well happy hour drinks were also great! Great date place. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I went in during the afternoon it was a nice experience. I really enjoyed all of my food. I tried the crawfish bread Stromboli and the meatball pizza. Everything was delicious.

Yelp
Love their Happy Hour. Daily from 3-5. Half off pizza, wine, beer and well drinks. Go with friends and order a few different pizzas or do a half and half. Loved the mushroom! Thin crust mushroom pizza with aged provolone, caramelized onions, and tomato sauce topped with an egg. So delicious. The Margherita is a classic. Fresh basil leaves with tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella. Dependably good and fresh. Our friends enjoyed the Calabrese and Tutto Carne pizzas. The Lamb Agrodulce was a bit heavy. The sweet and sour braised lamb was so moist and tender almost like a brisket. With the red onion, banana peppers and two roasted carrot slivers for the pizza, this one was not a favorite for our party of six. Service was great. Our drinks were always full and did not ever feel rushed, even though we chatted for almost 3 hours on a Friday afternoon. There is very limited parking in the back. We parked around the corner and down the street in neighborhood parking. Walk-in only. A great late afternoon place to meet friends and family friendly place to get unique and classic thin crust brick oven pizzas.

Yelp
Trying all 3 pizza domenica restaurants, I can assure the appetizers do not disappoint. I mainly come for the appetizers as their pizzas are average. I'm a sucker for whipped dips, especially for the garlic knots. As for this location, the parking is very limited in a very busy street even though I had no problem with finding a spot. The inside is nice, and my bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
The food and service are exceptional here. The pizza is wood fired and delicious. There are wonderful Italian wines served here. Happy hour M-F from 3-5. You will not find a better Italian restaurant anywhere in New Orleans. Lunch here is also great. Outstanding food is served in a tranquil setting. The restaurant is extremely clean with comfortable seating.

Yelp
My friends and I wanted to go out for a girl's night a couple months ago so we decided to try out this location of Pizza Domenica. I had tried the Magazine location a couple years ago and wasn't a huge fun, but decided to give this one a try to see if it was better. First off, I do want to recognize how the atmosphere was super cute and fun for a girl's night out or just for some drinks with friends. I will say though, the service was incredibly slow for a Wednesday night. We were there for a few hours because of how long it took for our food (I believe we only ordered one pizza) and then our first round of drinks took an hour to come out. They did warn us that the bar was a bit backed up, but the restaurant wasn't very full so I'm not sure what was the issue. I couldn't even tell you the kind of pizza we got (I only remember that it was half one pizza and half another style) because it wasn't very good. I'm not sure if I just don't enjoy the charred style kind of pizza but I really just didn't like it. It was just too burnt on the bottom and on the crust for me. I've had pizzas from other restaurants like Oak Oven in Harahan and Rocca in Baton Rouge that are cooked in a very similar style and are not burned like this. Overall, just not a great experience or worth the wait.

Yelp
I typically go to Pizza Domenica during happy hour (daily 3-5pm) when there aren't a lot of people there. Once 5pm hits, the bar and the restaurant fills up. For happy hour, pizzas are 1/2 off as well as beer, wines by the glass and well cocktails. My go to items on the menu are the meatballs, Caesar salad, and the pepperoni pizza (add spinach). You cannot go wrong with any of these items. They are all delicious. I've never had a problem with service. Waiters and bartenders are attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.

Yelp
Pizza: 3.4/10 I've eaten in the restaurant around 5 times and pickup around 10 times. I've given it multiple chances and I've had some decent experiences. Service in the restaurant isn't great but 1 or 2 times I had a good experience. The real issue is the pizza. I've had a pizza that wasn't horrible around 50% of the time I've ordered from here. That was why I kept reordering, expecting it to be one of the good ones. However, this most recent takeout order did it for me. I can't order from this place anymore. Listen to the other reviews and don't take a risk. Our most recent pizza was legitimately paper thin and some how still undercooked. This pizza is too expensive for it to only be decent half the time.

Yelp
We used to enjoy this place immensely. The quality of food is still good, but the service has gotten much worse. Took my kids for happy hour, and was notified that it was no longer available on weekends. Nowhere did they state this online or on their own board inside. I see they have updated their site now. Think they have several issues to resolve. I see why their ratings continue to tank.

Mark O.

Yelp
Cold pizza and burnt chicken wings that tasted like bacon grease. They even forgot the ranch.

Yelp
Food was super yummy! Best garlic knots I've had- the whipped provolone is amazing. Fun vibe, great place do go to sit eat and chat. Very nice servers. A bit backed up but the manager definitely went above and beyond to take care of that for us.

Yelp
www went to the location in the West End area. Honestly, it got my attention when I saw they made a banana & Nutella Stromboli! Lol. We ordered a white pizza and the Stromboli to go. The pizza was good & had roasted garlic on it, which added flavor. My husband was not a fan of the big leaves of basil lol. The dough was good. We should have had the Stromboli there when it was made. But we were too full. As you can see in the picture it's a bit burnt on the top. But eating a bit later, it wasn't too good. We went at a busy time so it was a bit of the wait at the table.

Yelp
We should've trusted the persistent low ratings when we were looking for a place to eat, and while this wasn't our first choice in the area, it was one of the few that had open tables. Maybe that should've been a sign as well. For a place that prides itself on pizza, we were left wanting so much more. The pizza was so small and thin that it didn't feel like I was eating pizza. There were barely any ingredients on top, and we got the meatball pizza (banana peppers, caramelized onions, ricotta, arrabbiata sauce); you wouldn't have known it by what was made and delivered to our table. On a positive note, the garlic knots were superb - definitely a must order if you do decide to go. On top of all of that, we had to beg our waiter to actually pay attention to us. While he wasn't necessarily rude, he didn't have the ability to manage more than one table, and that's a problem. There are too many other great places in this area to settle for this...

Annie D.

Yelp
Ordered over the phone. When we arrived the pizza was not ready, then they brought out this cold burnt monstrosity that had obviously been sitting there for a while. When I tried to take it out of the box to reheat it, it fell apart. I don't know how they're still in business. I will not be ordering from here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Meatballs appetizer was fairly good; however the pizza had much to be desired. We ordered the prosciutto pizza and what came out literally looked like an arugula salad. You couldn't even see the pizza. The worst part is that the pizza was soggy and undercooked.

Natashia J.

Yelp
We experienced great service at the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! I must say the atmosphere and dining area was very clean. We truly enjoyed the evening and our server was AWESOME! We will be visiting again soon.

Yelp
I was surprised to see that this new Pizza Dominica location was rated pretty low on here. I love their location on Magazine and I also love Dominica in the Roosevelt Hotel. I can't see why the food would be the reason for the low ratings. Pizza Domenica has some of the best pizza around and it always tastes great! I do recommend dining in as takeout just doesn't hit the same! I took off 1 star because the restaurant was too loud. I usually never notice the noise in restaurants because I rarely ever have to say "what?" to the people I'm eating with. I guess they just don't have very good insulation because I could barely hear anything anyone said. I never have noticed this problem at any of their other locations. As for dining in, I went in on a weekend night and got seated right away. So, they do have a good amount of tables! Parking is a little tough but they do have additional parking across the street at the LCMC health building.
google avatar

Geoff G.

Yelp
Meatball app was amazing. Spinach pizza is now one of my favorites bc the base/cheese. Excellent service. Why 2 stars off?!? My neck was killing me after watching one quarter of Monday night football at the bar. The TVs are way too high. Very inappropriate angle for watching while sitting at the bar. Dilemma: Strain the neck vs strain the eyes by looking up. Might take-out but Not planning to come back to eat here.

Yelp
I enjoy Pizza Domenica. I love their pizza & the trio dipping sauce. This was first time I could make their happy hour - half off pizza, wine, beer, and well drinks. Talk about a good happy hour. I always experience good customer service at this location. I took off one star, because I would love for them to add additional pizza toppings.
google avatar

D'Anna S.

Yelp
I'm from Chicago so I'm picky about my pizza! This pizza is good for thin brick over style pizza. The ingredients taste fresh and the prices are reasonable. Depending on when you go, it can be a bit loud inside but if you're not sensitive to noise it is tolerable. My daughter and I will go here on a whim when I don't feel like cooking so we never really have high expectations. I also brought my mom here when she was in town and she loved it! I've always had good service, attentive servers, and the food comes out relatively quick. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars because i think the food is good, not great and because the cocktails are just okay in my experience.
google avatar

Yelp
It's got a lot of bad reviews on Yelp, but I actually like Pizza Domenica. The pizza is good, wood-fired stuff. The Burrata is excellent. The servers are pretty good, and the place is clean and acceptably comfortable.

David S.

Yelp
Why should you go there then paying cash be charged 3.50 admission fee on 134.00 bill? That's greedy.
google avatar

Bailey C.

Yelp
$90 for mediocre pizza and absolutely horrible service. I never review restaurants, but the hostesses/waitresses made us feel like a bother that we were even there. My husband got wine and the waitress didn't even take my drink order, we waited forever to order drinks and then saw the food runner pick up a dip dish that fell on the floor and put it inside another dip dish ready to be used. I'm not a sensitive person whatsoever, but Jesus Christ that was probably the worst meal experience I've had.
google avatar

Brooks W.

Yelp
Good, but not great food. Great vibes - this would be an ideal date night spot. Because you could dress up or dress down, don't need a reservation, and won't break the bank. We had really good service.
google avatar

Teralyn B.

Yelp
I visited Pizza Domenica at the suggestion of my cousin. My daughter loves pizza so I said why not? We went on a Monday night so we were able to be seated as soon as we walked in. The waitress was extremely nice and was very helpful in suggesting a drink to order. I had a lemon flavored drink I had (forgot the name) was very tasty. For the appetizer I ordered the meatballs. They came on a bed of grits. Very different. I wasn't a fan of the tomato sauce but the meatballs were still decent. My daughter is fairly simple so she ordered half pepperoni/ half cheese pizza. I was full from the meatballs so I only took a few bites of the pizza. It wasn't anything special but it was still tasty. This place is great for family outings. The vibe is very chill and you can watch the guys make your pizza. Parking is also limited due to the area so you may have to park on the street if the lot is full
google avatar

Alejandra L.

Yelp
We love their happy hour, the menu is child friendly but you can still get a nice drink. The ambience is great and the staff is friendly. The peach pizza is great!

Yelp
My family doesn't go out to eat pizza very often; however, we have been wanting to try Pizza Domenica ever since they opened their doors at their new Lakeview location. The family and I finally went to give a try on 27 MAR 2022. The parking lot is very small and the spaces are a little narrow; therefore, consider yourself lucky if you don't have to find street parking. We were immediately impressed by the ambiance and décor when we walked through the front door. The bar, although not huge, has space for 7 or 8 patrons, and there is a pretty solid selection from which to choose. The metal "stamped" ceiling definitely classes it up a bit and the stacked wood on top of the visible oven is a tell tale sign that this is a wood fired operation. We arrived around 1:30 PM and were immediately greeted and seated by the hostess. Our server, MaryKaitlyn was definitely the highlight of our visit, as she was friendly and checked on us frequently enough to keep all of our drink glasses full. We had the meatballs with polenta appetizer and it was definitely a great appetizer. The polenta was so tasty and the red gravy was perfect. The meatballs were seasoned quite well and there was definitely not an overuse of bread crumbs. These balls were definitely meaty. The pizza was a little bit of a letdown. As my son only likes cheese pizza, we got 1/2 cheese and 1/2 mushrooms and fennel sausage. The sausage was some of the best I've ever had. Not sure where it's made, but it's good. However, I wish they would have used more mushrooms and sausage. Also, the crust, although thin, was not crisped at all. In fact, it was a little soft and soggy and could not be picked up very easily without it drooping and letting all the toppings fall off. Also, with 8 slices per pizza, you'd expect 4 slices of 1/2 cheese and 1/2 mushrooms and fennel sausage. However, our 4thpieces of the sausage and mushroom had 1 slice of mushroom and almost no sausage. Perhaps I'm a little picky, but you can check out my picture and form your own opinion. Thanks MaryKaitlyn for being such a great server.

Yelp
The hostess was completely rude. Our waitress, Bre, was awesome! The food was delicious. Considering how rude the hostess was we almost left. It's lil high but food was beyond delicious

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Miguel (the manager) was helpful explaining the menu. Stephanie (bartender) was on the spot!

Yelp
Last week I brought my wife here to try the happy hour, and she had the best time! Izzy, our server, welcomed us with a bubbly personality and gave us the best service. She recommended we try the ham and ricotta paired with the house white, and my wife loved it! She told us we could do half and half pizzas, so I went for half pepperoni and half tutto carne, and I loved it! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Service was great! Food was delicious! The ambiance was second to none. Thanks to Miguel and his staff for a special night.

Yelp
Tonight I placed an order for pickup via the Pizza Domenica website. We are fasting for Ramadan, and thus not eating or drinking anything all day. I placed the order for a time when my husband would have enough time to pick up the order and bring it home just when we are breaking our fast. After placing the order, the website said our order would be ready at 7:20. My husband arrived to pick up the order at 7:25. At first the woman at the front said it would be 15 minutes, without even checking with anyone. After my husband insisted that she check, saying I had placed the order 40 minutes earlier, he saw them place our three pizzas into the oven. They aren't even busy, only three tables seated at the restaurant. After waiting 20 minutes, one pizza is done, and we are still waiting for the others. We will never go back to this location again. F for service!
google avatar

Andi F.

Yelp
I arrived just after they opened. There is a dedicated parking lot with an entrance on Harrison. I was seated promptly. Was given a bit too much time to get to order. Once the pizza was brought out, the young man asked if I had ordered my pizza with no alterations or with alterations. I ordered with no alterations. He goes and discusses something with his coworkers, brings a different pizza and takes away the original pizza. Very weird. Surely there must be some system of telling which pizza belongs to whom. I am sitting here waiting for a box for my leftovers for a hot minute watching new customers come in, talk and wait for whatever it is they are desiring. There is no sense of urgency at all with the pace of the employees or customers.

Celeste B.

Yelp
Very disappointed. My fiancé and I came here for a date night. What a mistake. We should have just ordered to-go. All they care about is their online orders and to-go orders. Watched them box about 15 pizzas before one came out into the restaurant. Horrible service. It is embarrassing that they prioritize their outside orders over the people who come in and sit. Waitress was okay but hardly checked on us.
google avatar

Ann T.

Yelp
Never going back unless something changes. Whoever designed the seating and chair selection should work in a prison setting. I felt sorry for the waiters, we kept shifting our chairs and even table, just a bit, each time something was delivered to a table anywhere near. Many times platters full of food and drinks were balanced precariously over our head while delivering food to others We gulped our food as fast as we could and left vowing to never return.

Yelp
Walk in on a Friday. Acoustics are trash. I mean: it sounds like you're in a trash compactor of sound. Harsh to the ears, unpleasant environment, regardless of occupancy. Back to this review...walk in through the bar area, saw two open bar top high tables, bypassed them and went straight to the hostess. Checked in and we were told it was a 20-30 minute wait. We then inquired if it also applied to the bar area. We were told "no, that was it was first come, first serve". We then inquired if that applied to bar tables. We were told that was also "first come, first serve". We double verified, and the hostess confirmed again. We went and sat down at the last bar top table remaining. Within less than two minutes, a server or manager, a slight looking Chad approached us with a caustic attitude and asked us if we were supposed to be there. We replied that we checked with the hostess and it was fine as it was "first come, first serve." Chad went to the server to verify after informing us the table was already spoken for. Hostess and Chad had a brief conversation where we were told we had to "leave the table and we would have to wait." No apologies, no thanks for your understanding, no niceties for their screw up. Instead it was heavily implied, and assumed (with attitude and rudeness ), that we were wrong. We left and went to Junior's. This place reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese and is not a place to relax after a long work week.

Lynnet P.

Yelp
This place has a great menu, 1/2 price drinks and pizzas for happy hour and a fun energy to it. We had a happy but vocal toddler with us and it was no problem as there's a fair amount of noise so we blended right in. Salads are huge and they split it up for all three of us. Did I mention really really great service?! They know how to keep the locals coming back!
google avatar

Zivile J.

Yelp
Really tasty pizzas, they change seasonally. I love the most unusual creatives pizzas of theirs. Also really nice happy hour deal!
google avatar

Analynn F.

Yelp
Came in for dinner, restaurant was not very busy and we were sat right away. Waited over 15 minutes to be asked if someone had helped us and order drinks. Food came out in strange order to where we ate pizza, then 15 minutes later, our average Caesar salad arrived. A lot of staff with little customers to act the way they did. Love giving my friends and family good places to eat when they come visit me, and I would not recommend due to the poor customer service alone. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Yelp
The GOOD: pizzas are good, but not as good as the ones in Domenica downtown. Prices for pizzas @ happy hour are great. Service was quick and friendly. The BAD: salads are small, uninspired and overpriced.

Meagan M.

Yelp
Service was ok. Not good but not necessarily bad. Ordered the wings and smoked pork pizza. We couldn't eat the wings bc they were charred and burnt. The pizza had little to no meat on it and was thin and soggy. The pizza was all cheese and no toppings it felt like. The crust also had a weird taste, it didn't taste like it was made in a wood fired oven. The kitchen workers also wear no hair nets which is weird. I only gave it 2 stars bc it was happy hour so the pizza was half off. I wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Megan R.

Yelp
I love Pizza Domenica. Get it all the time from the other locations. So I was super excited when I saw the crawfish boil pizza special for lent in their Insta. Was excited all day to get home and order it for dinner. But what I got had 1/3 of the toppings compared to how it was shown. Taste was really awesome, seriously it was delish. It reminded both my husband and I of the "crawfish augratin" pizza for a place we loved 20 years ago and still miss. But some slices were basically just cheese. And super floppy. For $25 this was a let down. Plus the credit card machine was down so they had to write down all my card info on a slip of paper to run later... As someone who's already had a card number get jacked, that left me feelin a lil uneasy.

Yelp
Update- great progress I've been back twice since my original review. One great experience at happy hour today with good service and great value on pizzas and drinks. Will be back. The other time was 2 weeks ago in the evening was good not great. We wanted to sit at an empty high top by the bar but the server declined to seat us. Eventually seats at the bar opened and we sat there. Service by the bartender was good even though he was a bit overwhelmed. Unfortunately we were near the service bar and overheard the waitress who declined to seat us complain about how much she wanted her station to close so she could leave. Maybe that's why she wouldn't seat us. So, still inconsistent but getting better. I'm sure it will continue to improve.

Yelp
I happened to actually come here opening week. Upon arriving to my destination I was reminded of how horrible Lakeview parking on that side can be. The parking lot that they have is itty bitty and street parking on Harrison is just awful. I circled the neighborhood and decided to just park on West end (I believe) literally got a spot like ten seconds up from the door THANK GOD! Walking in I don't think I remember even seeing a hostess stand(maybe that's changed) I literally walked in and found my friends. I made it there around 5:30, seems like things were slowly picking up. The guy helping us was great (later on I found out that wasn't our waiter! Super nice tho) This man took our order, wasn't rushing us and our food came out in about 20 min. Not bad at all. We were able to enjoy our food and everyone was pleasant. Around 6:30 it seemed like things started getting packed! Overall my experience minus parking was great. Not finding parking easy just gives me anxiety . The food was just as good as the other restaurants and it's closer to my house! Winning! Def can't wait to come here again!

Yelp
This used to be the best pizza joint in the city. Ordered garlic bread and received such dry pieces of bread. For $13 I expect more. The pizzas seem to get smaller and smaller, thinner crusts and only going up in price. I live less than 5 minutes from this place and Its cold by the time I get home. There's a big difference in taste and presentation in dining in vs carry out and it should the exact same no matter how you're eating it.

Yelp
Went for happy hour. The bartender was friendly & very knowledgeable about the menu. The pizza was delicious and atmosphere was great. The only thing I think needs improving is their wine selection. Very unimpressive and would be the reason we wouldn't go back. If they updated their selection, we would be back for sure!

Yelp
We have had take out from this place 3 or 4 times, so this review isn't about the dine-in experience. We live just a few blocks away, so the food is only about 5 minutes from the oven when it hits our table. Domenica restaurant downtown is great, so we thought this spot would be an upgrade over Dominos. Meh. Sometimes it's been pretty good, last night was not. The pizza crust may be good when it first comes from the oven, but it quickly gets hard and chewy. One pie we got last night was burnt. Not a little bit of char, completely black on the bottom. They do offer better toppings than Dominos (particularly the meats), but toppings don't matter when all you taste is burnt crust. Other nights the pizza has been quite greasy. The garlic knots were great the first time we had them; last night just OK. The baked ziti is good, but the portion size is really small for $18. The food here just isn't good value for the price. When there's leftover pizza in the refrigerator and nobody wants to eat it, that pretty much says it all.
