Excellent Waffles! I usually get the garlic knots but they recently added fresh waffles as a offering. I got the Pistachio Waffle bowl with fresh strawberries, kiwi, blueberries topped off with White chocolate. I was hesitant a pizza shop offering this but it was very good! Waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fresh cut fruit hit the spot. Order it.... U won't be disappointed.

The waffle was absolutely delicious! 🧇 It had the perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and a soft, fluffy center that just melted in my mouth. The texture was light but filling, and it paired beautifully with syrup and toppings without getting soggy.

I ordered a Margherita pizza and baklava for delivery directly from Pizza Express’ site(chow now is where it takes you). This was hands down the best margherita pizza I’ve ever had locally. The sauce was so flavorful and left me so satisfied. Unfortunately the baklava fell flat. It tastes a bit like cardboard and makes me think it’s one of those mass produced desserts. But I don’t regret ordering from here! 10/10 recommend it if you’re in Albany and looking for quality pizza.

I ordered two cheese slices and a can, it was 7 bucks (inc. tax) good deal, if you ask me. I’ve been here a few times prior to this review, the pizza is consistently good; the cheese, tomato sauce, and dough balance each other out nicely. I recommend 👍🏼

I have ordered here numerous times and never had any issues until last night. I ordered garlic parm wings and fried calamari, 2 things I regularly order however this time thibgs were different. The calamari came with fries which has never happened before and due to the amount of fries compared to the calamari, it looked like it was an order of fries with some over cooked calamari rings thrown in. The wings were just sitting in a layer of grease. I called to explain how disappointed I was and the woman who answered had no empathy at all or understanding for the inconvenience and dissatisfaction, especially knowing I order from them regularly. No compassion, no offer to make things right, nothing! That lack of customer service just costed them a long time loyal customer.

I've been ordering from here for years. The Chicken Bella pizza is the best pie in Albany. Food is always good and consistent. This evening I spoke with a young girl who was rude, disrespectful, and then completely screwed up my order after stating I wanted a chicken shawarma wrap with fires and salad and a beef wrap, with fries and salad she replied you want the meal then and I said yes. She gave me chicken and beef with cheese over French fries. I walked in and she was on her phone, completely oblivious I was standing in front of her for 30 seconds until I said Hi. She needs to go, other than her this place is great.

My husband and I are in town for vacation and picked up the menu from the lobby of the hotel. When I tried to order online, it said they don't deliver to our location. I gave them a call and found out they actually did. Gave them our order, and they said 40 minutes. We were cool with this. The delivery guy called and couldn't find our room, 134. So, we went out to look for him. We used our credit card to pay for the pizza and calamari with fries, $42. We tipped him $9 in cash. We always tip cash. We opened the pizza box to a pepperoni pizza. Yet, we ordered a supreme with black olives added. BIG difference in price. I looked out the door, and the delivery guy was gone. I called the restaurant, and they guy asked, "You don't want pepperoni?" Really? I told him I wanted what I ordered and told him again what I ordered. He hung up on me!!!! Still, we sit here 1 hour later for our pizza. I did call and he told me 10 minutes. Finally, 30 minutes later we get dinner. Did I mention the garlic knots were swimming?

Great location! Courteous and professional service! Pepperoni is beef! Great walk in deals! Budget friendly. Affordable for great food. Cook to order so always fresh! Dessert heaven for a great heartily slice of cake, baked cookies! Great drink selection. You can stay and eat or take out!! We did both!! I recently had a very disappointing experience at Pizza Express on Western Avenue in Albany. After a long day of work and doctor appointments, I was excited to find the only place open late at night. I placed an order through their app for a Baked Pasta Combo Entree with a side of chicken, a salad, cheese fries with marinara dipping sauce, their signature bone-in buffalo wings with garlic Parmesan, and a beef gyro meal with a side of pita bread and rice. The total came to $56.48. I placed the order at 12:08PM and arrived at the store at 12:25am. They said it would be ready at 12:27Am. I walked inside the store at 12:40 after giving them another few minutes as I wanted a slice of pizza to eat on my 20 minute drive home. The pizza was great and I was tempted to order another slice but when I walked in, they had already given me my web order, which was surprisingly already sitting in the corner ready and waiting for me. The containers were steaming hot, which made me question how they could have prepared my food so quickly. When I got home, I was extremely disappointed. While I enjoyed the slice of pizza I had while waiting in the store, everything else was a complete waste of money. The chicken wings were not fresh and seemed to have been reheated in a oven as the aluminum containers they were in was filled of oil. The French fries were soggy and not fresh as if they were made in a oven as well. They lacked flavor and tasted like they were frozen fries placed in an oven to be reheated. The gyro over rice was shaved lamb meat or beef served over plain white rice with green peppers and onions. Despite being hungry, I could only manage to pick at the gyro platter and pick at the French fries. I placed everything else in the fridge to take back to the store for a refund when they reopened the next day. The next day when I called the store, I spoke with Iyahd, who hung up on me mid-sentence as I was explaining my concerns. It appears he assumed I was a college student, given their location across from UAlbany and their late-night hours catering to students. None of the food seemed freshly prepared, and the pizzas sitting in the window for display even looked old. I asked for a refund for the pasta dish and the bone-in wings, but Iyahd refused and called the manager or owner, explaining the situation in their language (not English). I reiterated that I wanted a refund for everything I did not eat, but my request was declined by him. Overall, this experience was deeply disappointing. I would not recommend Pizza Express to anyone looking for fresh, quality food, especially late at night. The owner said he would issue me a refund on Saturday when I spoke with him. I left everything on his counter even the picked at French fries and the half left gyro platter. Today is Tuesday, September 24, 2024 and he issued a refund of $31.58. In essence, he was still charging me for the gyro platter and cheese fries. I will never order from them again and I recommend that others don't.

What the fuck is goin on? Like what is that? One mushroom and a couple cubes of pineapple minced up? Isn't this shit hilarious? I mean honestly come on. Let's talk about the next one with the peppers, we got 1/4 pepper cut up on that fucker. Not to mention the minuscule amount of sausage I've never had a bad review for them, this topped it off. This is my favorite pizza place in the Capital District. I'm from downstate and am very picky about my pizza. I prefer thin, New York style. Their regular cheese pizza is perfect! Their service is good too. Highly recommended.

So I get off work and decide to give Pizza Express on Western Ave (Albany NY) a try because I'm starving after a long day's work. I regretted it IMMEDIATELY. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger and the burger had turkey bacon on it The burger was overcooked after I specifically asked that it be cooked medium rare. Lastly, for nearly $15 I expect a halfway decent amount of fries but what did I receive instead? A kid's meal amount of fries. Never again. One of the worst spots I've ever been to.

Recently, I found myself walking home very late at night from a long day of social events. I wouldn't say I was drunk, but I had most definitely been drinking. And somehow, I had gone most of the day eating very little. By the time I was getting hungry, pretty much every other place in the area had closed their kitchens for the night. Hello Pizza Express! It was my saving grace. But the pizzas in the display case were clearly not the slices that would make me happy. So I took a long hard look at the very long menu, trying to figure out what might be delicious. The woman behind the counter suggested their pastas and seafood, but I took a hard pass at both of those. Then I saw three words in a row, that could never do me any harm. Buffalo. Chicken. Roll. Without a doubt it was a terrible mistake to eat the whole thing. And I couldn't even do it in one sitting. I was able to make it through about three quarters of the beast, and took the last quarter to finish up on the remaining walk home. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. Diced pieces of breaded fried chicken, tossed in buffalo sauce, and enrobed in melted mozzarella cheese. All wrapped up in a long baked roll of pizza dough. The thing was served with two pots of blue cheese dressing. And eating that monster probably probably took 15 minutes off the end of my life. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. But maybe this time, I would try and split the thing with someone.

Chicken Bella is The best Piizza in Albany with fresh ingredients! Do yourself a favor and give this pizza a shot!

DO NOT ORDER THROUGH YOUR APP! I would have given 3 stars but they charge TEN DOLLARS more than what the restaurant menu states. Pretty slimy - I really doubt the overhead costs of the app measurea up to a single item costing 50% more than just calling them and ordering them directly. As for the chicken wings and Buffalo chicken salad, there is really nothing noteworthy to speak of. The buffaly chicken salad veggies seemed fresh but the chicken is actually like frozen popcorn chicken. Don't expect anything fresh when it comes to meat. The wings I got were.... Disgustingly overly oily. The garlic parm flavoring was a bit salty but salty is just what you get when you eat out in the good old u s of a.

The quality Pizza express is inconsistent. If I wanted McDonalds quality I would have just went there. Why don't you cook the bacon????

Great pizza! We didn't like as much some of their other menu items. Now, when we want pizza we order from them. They are also very quick.

We ordered garlic parmesan wings& (ordered them previously )& sausage rolls this afternoon... Both food items are a keeper on the menu, wings are buffalo style, not the pigeon size...excellent wings, moist/tender...

Dang, that's good pizza. I just ordered a pizza from Pizza Express through GrubHub tonight; I'd done so numerous times before and remembered that I liked it, but I didn't remember quite how much. Dang... The pizza is fresh and delicious, with a thick, soft crust that I know is not everybody's thing, but it's definitely my preference. And every individual element of the pizza tastes delicious in and of itself, and the blending of all those flavors together is perfect. I don't know...I'm not sure I'm feeling very articulate about the virtues of an excellent pizza right now...maybe because all my brain is down in my belly concentrating on digesting all the wonderful pizza-y goodness I just consumed. So let it suffice to say I think this is some excellent pizza (and I've had some of the best pizza NYC has to offer, so I have some experience with stellar pizza). They're also open (and delivering) late, which is a big plus for me who often only gets hungry for dinner (supper? Is it still supper if you haven't had dinner?) around 9 or 10 pm. Enjoy!

I was with a group of people and we decided to order out for pizza for dinner. However, I had just eaten pizza and a hot sub sounded good. So, I ordered a cheeseburger sub with lettuce, tomato, and ketchup. Another guy ordered a meatball sub, and the rest ordered three pizzas. Apparently, the person working at Pizza Express was pretty clueless and had trouble understanding our order even though it wasn't a complicated order. We had to repeat the pizzas (two plain cheese, one pepperoni and mushroom) several times, as well as the sub order. When it arrived, the pizza looked fine. Nothing special, but nothing bad. My friend's meatball sub looked awesome. I then opened my styrofoam package up and found a regular cheeseburger. They had messed up my order and not made a sub for me. It was decent, but I was expecting something else and was pretty disappointed.

AVOId THESE PEOPLE! What a disaster. I'm new in town and called to ask how to order gluten free from them in UberEats. I followed instructions explicitly (ordered my selection and added notes). Of the three things I ordered, one was correct, one almost poisoned me (not gluten free crust!) and one was completely missing. For my 60.00 order I got nothing but drama. The owner argued with me that I never ordered flourless chocolate dessert. I offered to send a screen capture. He finally relented and said he'd send someone with the correct and missing items. Two hours later I called to inquire and was told I was out of luck, it was an Uber order (as stated three times in my call with him.) To be blunt: WHAT A JERK! My non-gf kiddo says the regular pizza wasn't even that good.

Let me EXPRESS how EXPRESS Pizza made me feel feelings agian... 2020 has been a hard year for all of us pizza lovers. From the yeast shortage in April, the June pepperoni shortages, and the increased wait times from everyone else just giving up and ordering from home has made it a pretty lengthy process to get good affordable pizza these days. NOT AT "PIZZA EXPRESS"

I've ordered delivery many times. I started ordering their gluten free pizza which is very good and reasonably priced. Toppings are $2 each though on a small pie, a bit pricey so I usually only order one topping. The crust is a bit crispy. I like that. I've also had the side of sausage. It's not whole sausages as you would expect, but little pieces of sausage covered with red sauce and mozzarella cheese. Weird but it's grown on me. I've also had their Greek salad which is standard and good. Hot food arrives hot. Cold food arrives cold. Their prices are excellent, and yelp only charges $1.00 for delivery. There is also another $1.00 fee. $2 for delivery is pretty cheap. Just make sure you choose Yelp for delivery. If you choose Grub Hub, you'll pay a lot more for delivery. My order has never been inaccurate and the delivery people are friendly and polite. So although I'd only give the food 4 out of 5 stars for taste, the lower price for both food and delivery, accuracy, timeliness, and temperature of the food, definitely put Pizza Express into 5-star territory!!

Best chicken bacon ranch pizza in the northern hemisphere

They deliver so fast it is like they have tapped into warp drive (Star Trek fans know what that means). The food is always great and arrives hot and the delivery folks are always extremely friendly.

Great food and speedy delivery to Marriott! I order the Calzone and a sandwich! The Calzone is enough to be shareable by at least two people and the dough on it was very yummy, a lot of filling I couldn't finish half of it, the club sandwich looks like the picture and I'm taking it with me tomorrow on the road ! You want be disappointed with the food.

Holy moly that was good. They delivered my order (through yelp/grubhub) like 30 minutes before the estimated window, hot and yummy at like 7 pm on a Thursday. I feel so comforted.

Very good. We got the fettuccine Alfredo and Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. The pasta was very creamy (a little too much cheese on top that I wiped off) and the garlic bread was delicious. Pizza was great too.

Ordered from here late at night while staying at a nearby hotel. They delivered sooner than estimated and even brought my food up to my room so i didn't have to go downstairs. The chicken parm sandwich and fries were good. I would definitely order from here again.

I placed a rather large order here 2 days ago, and ordered a variety of dishes. While I can say the majority of what I ordered was well done, the steak and cheese was really good, I'd recommend this. Two dishes however stand out as lackluster. First the Fettuccine Alfredo, this would seem like a straightforward dish, I'd imagine all the ingredients were there EXCEPT for SEASONING. Completely lacking salt and pepper and any other seasoning that should be there. I added salt and pepper packets every couple bites, that dish is definitely 2-star, it was edible, but no seasoning is a rookie mistake. Second dish, was more of a mystery. I ordered a side of sausage, thinking itd be a big sausage, or maybe links or even patties, NOPE. I got a big tin container full of tomato sauce cheese and what looked like tiny meatballs, infact tiny sausage pieces, reminded me of Sbarro sausage pizza from 3 decades ago

Note to self. Do not go to a pizzeria for Middle Eastern food! Yes the gyro was good but that was it. Gryo dinner was served with Chinese style white rice and a salad. Humus was watery and awful. I think he made the Tabouli just for us. Too lemony and I can't recall if there was any wheat it there. The grape leaves were freezing so you know they were frozen. Do yourself a favor and only order the pizza. I'm Lebanese and I should know what this food should taste like.

I have been ordering Pizza Express for about 6 months now and everything had gone fine. Until today when I received the wrong wings for my order. I even generously offered to drive to the location to pick up the correct wings so the driver didn't have to come back out. When I arrived at the location I was told that I couldn't get the replacement wings (That I had ordered) because I had forgotten to bring the wrong wings (Which I had immediately thrown in the trash). Is this how you treat a repeat customer?? I will NEVER order Pizza Express again after they refused to fix my order. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE THEY WILL TREAT YOU TERRIBLY.

Love these guys! They were the only restaurant open during last year's snow storm. Service has always been friendly and quick. Not sure what other people are complaining about.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Ordered a calzone with artichokes, and when it was delivered, I discovered it was a calzone with ANCHOVIES...obviously a huge difference. When I called for a refund, the woman literally said "There's nothing I can do." Didn't even get an apology. All I wanted was a refund, and, maybe, just maybe, an apology. Don't order from this place. Horrible, horrible way to conduct business.

They have terrible customer service and the menu is not updated. People who called me hung up on me twice, the delivery time is not accurate at all.

If you're jonesing for straight-ahead college classics--this place is the ticket. The calzones are crispy and well-seasoned (not sludgy or doughy). Chicken bacon ranch calzone got honorable mention. Super fast delivery time. Their English speaking sounds perfectly discernible to me.

Order delivery from this place often.. always a reasonable delivery status and the foods always good! (especially important with fried appetizers) Even during a snow storm! I really enjoy the incentive of a free order of garlic knots with a certain purchase total. They have my loyalty thus far!

I haven't had their pizza since I was in college so can't remember if that was good but just got a grilled chicken salad today since I'm in the area visiting and it was a waste of money. The vegetables were luke warm and did not taste fresh. I always order salads from pizzerias at home downstate and they are always a good choice. This place was not.

i've ordered from here a bunch recently and the food was delivered super fast, im talking 25 mins after i place the order theyre at my front door. the pasta dinners are good and the calzones are the biggest ive seen, its basically a folded in half pizza. wings are crispy but not dry. food is always hot and they called when they didnt have the flavor of soda that was ordered unlike some places that will just send pepsi and not let you know. will happily continue to order from here.
