I've had pretty negative experiences here, but I somehow keep giving this place a chance. Just to list a few things: * No gloves while touching food right after handling money. * The pizza crust is probably some of the toughest inedible crust I've ever had. * The price is pretty steep for what you get. * Bland pizza. * Employees are just flat out rude on the phone and in person. They will talk over you and then get mad when they didn't hear what you said. The best customer service I've received here was from a highschooler.

Love this place. The pizza is great (so is the grilled chicken salad and the zucchini fries and the tenders). Delivery was very quick.

Pizza tasted decent! Lacks flavor in my opinion. **had it again to see if anything changed** Average pizza. Someone claimed the Pizza sauce was sweet (they fooled me yo), it was actually on the salter side. Crust sucks. Overall, it's a "decent" type of Pizza. Very pricey for large cheese with Pepperoni [$19] I wouldn't recommend coming here unless your desperate (like I was). Slippery slope yall.

I'v ordered from this place a bunch of times since moving to maynard and they've been great. Nothing fancy but really solid tasty pizza and they always keep relatively close to the promised half hour delivery time. Drivers are fairly polite and the food comes nice and hot.

New to working in Framingham, and coming home on rt 27, came here at about 2:00 on a Sunday on my way home. I happened upon this joint. They were slammed, and I watched many customers come in and out as I watched the football game on their TV and if a customer seemed cool I asked "do you like this place?" (I'm gregarious like that) and every person basically said "oh heck yeah". The person who seemed to be running the show was busting their butt at supersonic speed, and, despite looking swamped, was kind and attentive to my needs. I like when I find pizza/sub shops with vague eastern Europe vibes and this place had all subs available on Syrian bread, so I asked for a Buffalo chicken on Syrian bread. The person working said "that's the first Buffalo chicken I've made in Syrian bread," as in nobody ask asked for it before kind've vibe, but it was everything I hoped it would be. Highly recommend to anybody.

Zero stars. I've lived in Maynard my whole life and have gone to Pizza Express many times throughout the years.. unfortunately this was the worst experience . I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Calzone and I got a Chicken Parm calzone with marinara on the side. No big deal, they messed up the order. So I called them and the guy yelled at me telling me I was wrong and it was buffalo and he made it himself so he knows. I don't know in what planet a buffalo chicken anything comes with marinara sauce and has zero level of buffalo sauce anywhere. He told me they only make it that way if asked.. umm so basically it's chicken Parm unless I ask for BUFFALO chicken which I did. He was extremely rude and wanted to fight with me about it instead of just fixing the mistake. Also it took an hour when he said 30 minutes.

This is my goto pizza place in Maynard. It's Greek style pizza using a blend of cheeses predominantly mild cheddar. The subs are also very good. Calls for delivery can be a challenge since they can be busy or the don't hear you well.

6 years later and this place still takes care of me well. The old school pizza in pans with golden brown (no black) crispy crust. They get the sauce/ cheese / topping ratio just right. Never ever a half cooked pizza from this local favorite. Delivery is always carefully packed. Someday I will get around to trying a cheeseburger club.

Great service great food who could ask for anything more? Locally owned it's like the cheer show when someone walks in everybody knows their name and order.

Neither express nor decent enough to be considered the delicious food called pizza. Slow and downright unsanitary. Avoid at all costs.

The best pizza in the area, IMHO. Good, quick service. Right next to the Amory's Tomb Beer Garden. Order your pizza, pick it up, take it to one of picnic tables in Amory's, order a beer and enjoy.

Best cheeseburgers around, awesome steak and cheese and great pizza. Friendly service.

Greek salad with no olives and no cucumbers? Why did they not get included? Isnt it standard? Someone ordered for me so not in my control but disappointed even though it was delish! Next time ill know better I guess. Kinda disappointed

Super-impressed with Pizza Express. Having just moved to Maynard, I'm excited to find it and this will definitely be my go-to pizza place! I've ordered a couple of times and it's been reliably delicious, everything I've had is great; I'd have to say the Hawaiian pizza is one of the best I've had. Everything is fresh, hot, and they deliver -- always within the timeframe they give, which is half an hour. That's hard to beat. Looking forward to trying more stuff!

Two words: Hell yes! Everything here is great. Tonight, I had the BLT sub. Modifications were no problem. Added extra mayo and hots. Both the woman who took my order and the guy who delivered it couldn't have been nicer or more professional. The food also came earlier than I expected, which was great because I was really hungry. Bookmark their menu and add Pizza Express to your phone's contact list.

Nice place to get a pizza late night. I had my doubts due to presentation but the cheese pizza was excellent!

Love this pizza place. Always good pizza, and they deliver. I do wish they had online ordering. Otherwise, though, it's my go to pizza place.

This is my new go-to spot for pasta in Maynard. It might look run-down, but that's how you know it's got a history of serving customers. Right across from the street is Roasted peppers, however this place is cheaper and equally as good. The pasta is average; nothing really stuck out to me too much (not outstanding nor bad). The sauce could have used a little more seasoning but that was about it. The chicken cutlets were cooked nicely, fried to a nice crisp and was still juicy. What really stood out to me was the complimentary cheesy garlic bread that came with the pasta! The bread was cooked to a crisp and the cheese was melting on top and they wrapped in aluminum foil to keep the heat insulated. The cajun fries were crispy and all but I did not really taste the cajun. I thought that we may have received an accidental order of regular fries but the color did not look regular. The only big thing that stood out to me was these fries not being seasoned enough. Other than that, everything was great! It only took them about 10-15 minutes for them to cook two pasta dinners and the order of cajun fries so I can not complain about the service and the people at the front were really polite and friendly!

This is the best pizza in the area. I have gone to waver pizza restaurant iwithin 3 miles and Pizza Express beats them all. Cheesy w just the right amount of tomato sauce.

Really solid local pizza and subs place. Subs are all great, and pizza is typical no frills delicious pizza. They are always fast and polite. My go-to.

These guys make a pretty good calzone. The staff was friendly, prices were average and it is your standard local pizza place.

All I have to say is that Pizza Express is way overpriced I ordered a large meatball sub and that large sub had exactly 3 meatballs for $9.30 (with tax) 3 meatballs for that price is robber. Rick

Great little sub shop in Maynard MA. They do very good salads (chicken salad is a must try), pizza is good, steak and cheese options are tasty as well. They deliver in the area so that is a plus as well. If your looking for a sub/pizza in the area I recommend you try out Pizza Express.

Food is still good, but don't count on pricing in their printed menus or online to be accurate. Even standing in front of their menu board looking directly at the prices, I still could not figure out where the prices they rang up came from. I'm fine with paying for good food, just be up front about how much you're charging, please. *rant over*

We have ordered vegetarian and Greek pizza and both were really good. Fast and courteous service. Recommend it!

This is my favorite pizza that I can get delivered. We never have to wait long, and everyone is really polite and friendly. That being said, I'm going to tell you one thing that they do brilliantly. They recently changed the fries they serve to yummy homestyle, which is great. They also wrap the fries in paper sacks, which soaks up extra grease, and keeps the fries crispy. Just like Frites in Europe. Ban those damned styrofoam containers! Banish those soggy onion rings! Be kind to the environment! Eat some Frites!

This has been and remains one of my favorite pizza places since like Middle School, seriously. Every time I was doing the 12 hr drive home from Ann Arbor, I'd call my mom an hour out and have her order me a pizza from here, that's how much I like it. I know people tend to be pretty picky about certain things on pizza so here's why I like it. Crust/Dough: The dough is slightly on the thicker/breadier side, not super thin/crispy like NY style; the Crust is great, also bready but really crispy on the outside, the crust is my fav part of a pizza and I love these guys' crust. Sauce: the sauce is tasty and rich, but mostly is just there and to me that's a good thing. I don't want to be taking particular note of the sauce on pizza, mostly bc I think great pizza is a blend of flavors, if any one (absent toppigns) sticks out too much it can ruin the effect. Cheese: same philo as the sauce, it should be good, mix well with the pizza, but I don't want to be analyzing which whole foods-esque cheese they put on there. Toppings: always good quality and they have interesting selection, like fresh garlic. If you're a garlic fan I highly recommend the hamburger, garlic and mushroom combo, it's super tasty. Parting Words: If you just happen to be in Maynard (if you're from aroud here you understand the irony of that statement) check it out. Also, grab yourself a chocolate milk along the way, goes so well with pizza in general and this one in particular

I've lived in Maynard for almost two years now. The day I moved in, I treated my friends to pizza for helping out and this was the place I called. It was very good and I have ordered several times since then. The food is delivered in the time quoted (or less) and the pizza itself is very good for "House of Pizza" type pizza. I only dinged them a star for their buffalo chicken pizza. I've ordered that twice and the amount of buffalo sauce on the chicken is barely detectable. Other than that, everything there is great.

Great cheese and dough, greasy and delicious. But the place is dirty and doesn't look too sanitary and the people don't wear gloves, otherwise it is really good

Decided to pick up a steak sandwich and a calzone to eat on out way to the pats game. What a terrible decision! It was the worst food we ever had. The steak and cheese had no flavor at all. The calzone was flavorless as well! I will never go back!

I've given Pizza Express a few tries over the past 3 months. The experiences have all been very disappointing. Pizza is mediocre at best. The staff is rude and inconsiderate. They keep customers waiting with complete disregard to their time. On one occasion, a 20 mins delivery took over 1 hour. I tried really hard to like this place but due to the aggravation it has caused me I won't be going back. There are better places to spend your money and you'll get tastier pizza and better service.

Ordered a ham and pineapple for delivery. Menu price was $9.00, got a large. Price was $17.05. So maybe I should have specified a small, but I didn't. I still think $8.00 more is excessive. The pizza was ok. It is not special. Maynard needs another place that delivers. Come back Roasted Peppers. PLEASE,

This place is a dump full of thieves. They advertise one price and then change it claiming the menu says "subject to change." I bought a pizza and the website said the price was $14.90 they charger me $17.00 and said the price changed 4 months ago.!!!! When I asked why they didn't change it on the menu and website they hung up on me!! Do not recommend unless you want to be robbed!!!

How is this place still open? It's a trash can. Make a visit before buying and u will know what I'm talking about.

So the food is pretty good as far as pizza places go. The place itself is a dump. It has had the same tables, coolers and grill for 20 years. The staff wears street clothes with no thoughts of tying their long hair back. The girl handling the money is the same girl touching my food without gloves. They have no concept of board of health guidelines and I'm surprised they are still open. The delivery person wears stained and dirty clothes and looks unkept. People in food service need to look presentable. It doesn't matter if it's a town pizza shop or a 5 star restaurant in the city.

Really reasonable, affordable prices on just about everything. Additionally, I have always had fast and pleasant service. I feel bad for them because they are wedged in between, er, nicer looking (but lesser quality/more expensive) pizza joints on Main St. Will continue to support them over other pizza places in the Maynard area.

Pizza Express is our go-to delivery pizza place. As mentioned by others, the fresh garlic is delish, I pair it with eggplant. Good pan-pizza crust. They are quick and reliable. It's also the only plain cheese pizza my picky 4 year old will eat.

This is my go-to place to get pizza / subs / wings. The pizza is exactly how I like it (which may not be for everyone) - cripsy crust, a bit on the greasy side. Also, the chicken fingers are nothing shy of fantasgreat.

When I see a coupon in the mail for a large cheese pizza $6.99 I say to myself, wow that's not much more than a frozen pizza at the supermarket. So all they have to do is be better than that and it's a good deal. So I ordered one up and after deliberation the verdict is, well, no, not so much. Don't get me wrong, if you want a truly mediocre pizza experience I guess you could do worse, or if you have 4 people ready to devour it before the grease has a chance to saturate the crust then it would be ok, but if you still plan on having a slice or two left over after, say, 45 minutes, forget it. I have a very detailed pizza rating criteria and this one failed to impress on every category except appearance. They make a really pretty looking pie.

Coming from a mostly Italian town pizza is a big deal to me, so of course we tried them all when we first moved to Maynard. And Pizza Express won hands down. Why? The taste. It's all about the crust and they do a good job on theirs, it's tasty on its own. They'll put pretty much whatever you want on it, just tell them. Fast delivery, have never had to wait more than 20 mins and the average is around 15 believe it or not -- they are fast. Reasonable prices, its the going rate around here. Love it.

I will never order from Pizza Express again. We live 5 minutes down the road and it took them over an hour to deliver two pizzas to our apartment. We did not receive an apology for the wait and the delivery boy laughed when we asked why it took so long. The pizza is mediocre and not worth this type of service. We also called three times to find out what was taking so long and no one answered the phone. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ORDER FROM BRICK OVEN NEXT DOOR- the pizza is better and no service could compare to Pizza Express.

I thought everything was great until i checked my account and found that they had over charged me $30.00. When i called the manager to resolve the issue he was very unprofessional so i had to ask my bank for assistance in handling the matter. If it was a mistake it should've been handle appropriately and corrected rather than being pushed aside.

I do not like their pizza - too greasy. The people are nice enough, it's not personal, the sauce is just not to my liking.

Nothing fancy here. These guys serve a good traditional well priced pizza. What keep me coming back here is the service. These guys (and girls) hustle and you feel appreciated as a customer.

I love a good calzone, but when i got it it had sauce in it. Who on earth puts a sauce inside a calzone is outright stupid. It was soggy and didn"t have much cheese or pepperoni and mushroom like i ordered, but there was plenty of sauce in it. I got a salad too and to much concern i got a salad that was small, brownish, and did not look very appetizing. 2 bites later and i threw it away. very sad, won"t call there again
