I've been coming here (different location now) since they were a tiny operation in the 1990's. I never really get pizza there, though, because everything else they make is extremely good. And get ready for this: I think their cheesesteaks are as good or better than Pat's or any other place. For me, their best cheesesteak is called "The Italian". To me, that's the best cheesesteak in all the land, by far.

We've ordered take out during the years but rarely eat in. With Lobster Ravioli on the menu as a special we had to give it a go. The service was great because our plan to split it was anticipated and they plated the order in half which was very considerate. It was scrumptious! We also split our favorite, the calamari. A delicious lunch was enjoyed by us both!

Lab Test Thursday, took ride with Kit Dwight​​ over to HMH Ocean Medical Center for her Fasting Blood Work and then off to Breakfast. Stopped here and tried their Breakfast Pizza, which was their small size with eggs, pork roll, cheddar cheese and mozzarella. More like a Quiche than a pizza, soft, fluffy crust with very good ingredients and taste. Tried it with salt, pepper and then salt, pepper and ketchup which made it more of a familiar sandwich. Kit has here usual of scrambled eggs, well done bacon, with potatoes and wheat toast. Very quaint Small Business, will have to try a regular style pizza to compare the crusts

We come for breakfast which is delicious and a great value. Started coming for dinner and there specials are so tasty. Picture of the Carbonara was better then the fancy places in town. You must give a try... and BYOB

Went here for 1st time on a recommendation for breakfast. Despite the name pretty good place for breakfast. Had the french toast, tried the french fries they were delicious highly recommend. Definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu 😊

This place is so clutch on our late nights. They are always very sweet and the food is great in a pinch. Skinny babe is *chef's kiss*

people are very friendly, professional, courteous, i order all the time from my job, food is delicious, i normally order the cold cut salad and tuna salad, it delicious, neat, fresh, their the only restaurant i order from, highly recommend

Friday night, August 8th and I needed a slice badly, I hadn't eaten dinner so I was very hungry. Everything's close by was closed but not this place. Bathroom was clean dining room looks nice, the guy behind the counter was friendly enough so got a slice of Neapolitan. Very good cheese. Good texture to the dough, good sauce. What more can you ask for? I will definitely go back as I am in this area on Friday nights.

Food tasted great especially considering they are open late and deliver late. However whole household woke up all with food poisoning.

Wow! The pizza tastes 1000 times better than it looks. It's not ur traditional nj style pizza but flavor is incredible and the crust is 10/10! I recommend getting it well done. Delicious!!

I'd give this place a fat 0, if yelp would allow it. The attitude I get when I go to pay my bill is confusing to say the least, dry and rude with me but smiley with others. Woman behind the counter needs to find a different career. The food is unsatisfactory, Don't know if they follow Italian recipes or just wing it but it's horrible and bland. If you want good pizza go to Pat's or Luigi's Famous Pizza cause this place has decided to use sub par ingredients. If anyone else has experienced similar service let me know but I won't return again. Done with pizza express

Their mild wings are to die for! The sauce has a sweet tang to it, and they're always piping hot whether they're delivered or picked up. I've had their fat sandwiches which are also great, but I personally don't like their pizza.

The fat sandwiches here are great but the pizza is below average. There are at least 10 places within five miles of this place that have better pizza so if that's what you're in the mood for, I'd look elsewhere. With that said, it still gets 4 stars because of the fat sandwiches - it's the only place I know of in the area that has them and they always hit the spot. Personal favorite is the Fat Boy.

Cajun Caesar salad is a favorite but recently found the chicken to be very chewy. Breakfast was good

Ordered a patty melt or something like a grilled cheese burger explained my wishes on how I wanted it numerous times. At first they were saying can only get patty melt at lunch time but then said they could do it. I was given to dry pieces of toast bigger then my burger that was very undercooked yet burnt on the outside. I rarely ever complain to restaurants but did because I paid $15+ for this burger. I was told I obviously ate it because I didn't call the same night. I was working and in between jobs feeding my kid a quick dinner before I left which is why I decided to even do takeout only to have to make him something else and share the Stromboli I ordered myself. Refused to remake the burger the correct way. I usually order from here 3-5 times per month and they have lost me as a customer. I have ordered their pizza for my classroom and recommended them to many coworkers never again. I have never been treated so rudely by a restaurant that made a mistake.

Late evening snack or dinner . Their delivery is excellent ! Nice customer service on the phone and the delivery drivers are reliable and fast . The Stromboli "Italian" was hella good. Cheese inside was hot and fresh! Next time I'll take a pic . We ate it too fast and forgot to take a picture !

I've had their round pie and their sicilian pie (nothing specialty). The cheese and sauce combine to be tasty. However with the sicilian pie, the crust was 'big' or there was a lot to grab onto compared to having chesse/sauce for the corner slices. Almost as if I was eating half slices. They have a big menu and are open late and also deliver late. Only Domino's delivers as late as them. Other pizza shops around town close at 10, while They stay open til 12am or 1am, depending on the day.

Love this place! Found this place about over a year ago. I don't like trying out new places but I was in a good mood that day and very hungry and my sister pointed to the restaurant since we were at the light. Went in and food is delicious. The waitress was kind and respectful. Food came pretty fast. The calamari was delicious , The fries, hamburgers and gyros are really good. My sisters and I go every other Friday and we are always treated with respect. They follow Covid guidelines well because it's never packed, they space their customers a decent amount and they also have the option to eat outside which I love . Very clean which is one thing I look out for at all restaurants. I highly recommend this place and the pricing for all the food in the menu can't complain .

Wow... Tonight I had a quick bite at pizza Express and I'll never be back. As I sat there eating the woman behind the counter was eating talking about how full she was and summoned an absolute sinister belch in my direction and said "gezz that was a big mother F"... she then began throwing buckets into the kitchen as she dropped abput 50 F bombs at some dude named juan...

The only reason I would give 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that the pizza is just ok. Nothing to rave about but satisfying enough. However, any local knows that Pizza Express is very well known for their "fat" sandwiches which my friends, family, and I have been ordering for nearly 15 years. Everyone I've ever shared this place with has found the sandwiches to be delicious and filling.

The woman I spoke with on the phone was phenomenal. She was super kind and food is ALWAYS good.

A long time icon in Point Pleasant, Pizza Express has been bringing the residents & tourists some of the best pizza, sandwiches, apps and a diner style breakfast menu food in the jersey shore area. They are who you call when you're in need for takeout at almost any time of day and their menu is loaded with a large selection of food that caters to all appetites.... They have a large delivery radius too. They make deliveries to office buildings and hospitals as well. They also have done some large parties as well so definitely worth asking if you need an event catered with some Pizza Express! They are very flexible too. If you want to customize your order, they are always happy to accommodate in making you your perfect take out meal. Delivery drivers are pretty decent and have been over the years. The owner takes A LOT of pride in his business, and has now for well over 20 years now. Always a friendly smile and hello. Curly fries w cheese are the bomb. Two of my personal customized items are: 1. A pizza steak, add mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. 2. Pizza: NO sauce, Cheesesteak, fried onions and pepperoni. The natural grease from the pepperoni, the creamy cheese and meat are a great combo on some pizza crust. The sauce is tooo much. Definitely try it

Terrible. I could have gotten better pizza at Little Cesar's. Service was terrible. Food other than pizza was over fried. Terrible products. When discussed with the "manager", was told he'd remake the food but gave me a poor attitude. The kitchen is filthy. Old oil. Uncleaned. Gordon Ramsay would convulse.

Surprising to have breakfast at a pizza place, the food was what you'd expect for a basic diner. The things no one could mess up were good and the eggs Benedict were at least average, the service there was very good all in all a good experience.

First time coming here, and honestly it's the best! The condition is nice and clean. The menu was quite mouth watering. I love this place. And the service is excellent. I would highly recommend this place.

Ok. By my count, just in Pt. Pleasant alone, there are at least 12 places that sell pizza. Here, ladies and gentlemen, in my opinion, is the worst one. Even the chain pizza joints in town, Little Caesar's and Dominos, make better pizza than this place. First, the pizza. It's a strange tasting "sauce" on top of a weird tasting doughy crust. The few times I've had it, it's never been cooked all the way through. Italian dishes are the same, a strange tasting sauce on top of non-descript pasta. Maybe it's because they buy their ingredients in bulk from Costco (true story, I've seen the owner shopping there). And the sandwiches can't hold a candle to most other places, especially Pat's if you want a cheese steak. Next, the "pleasant" help. Listen, I know it's hard work, but if you don't like what you're doing, go do something else, especially if you have a business that deals with nothing but people buying your product. They're some of the most sour people I've ever come across in a small mom and pop establishment. You might be able to overlook "average" (if I'm being kind) food if the help was cheerful and seemed to appreciate your business. These people do not. In a town with 12 pizza joints, there are way better options out there. Graziano's, Mon Alyssa, Pudgy's, Maria's, Spano's, Pat's. Even the aforementioned Dominos and Little Caesar's. I've heard nice thing about the fairly new Antonio's. Vesuvio's, which has been in town forever, beats this place. Move along, nothing good to eat here ...

They are pizza fucking sucks we had two large plain pie's and the person in the back cooking the pizza was rushing so much and We bought the pizza home so hot that the cheese was melting off onto the box I know Pizza is supposed to be hot But this whole shit Please never go to mess Hall Harlem please specially when you see the gray hair dye turn around and walk the fuck out

Truly outstanding food. Casual, friendly atmosphere. Menu covers breakfast, lunch & dinner selections. Staff is great, too. Delivery service too.

Always consistent good food, great wings and fast delivery. My wife loved the vegetarian platter. Late night Delivery available too. Our go to for pizza or Italian delivery.

A little disappointing its been awhile since I've been in the area so thought I would try Pizza Express it was at one time my all time favorite this time and not so much

I ordered the veggie fat cat because I'm vegan, before I start I want to say the last thing I am is a whiny bitchy force my beliefs on other people type of vegan, I respect everyone's choices and I literally don't care that people eat meat, like at all, but these people sent me a regular fat cat with beef on it. Pretty big mistake considering a lot of people are vegan for allergy purposes it's not just ethical. I wouldn't even be writing this review if it weren't for the fact that the guy on the phone didn't even give me so much as an apology, the guy literally acted so bothered by me because of a mistake that was made on their end I didn't eat it and they refunded me but still, really shitty way to go about it, I use to literally order from this place once or twice a week and was always happy with their service but they just lost a loyal customer because of this guys shitty attitude

The wings aren't that great, the pizza is okay, but the cheesesteaks & everything else from here is very good if you're looking for something past 10pm. Not my first choice pizzeria, but a great late-night option & fast delivery!! Perfect place to call after a night out! ** UPDATED REVIEW 11/14-- I have since begun working at a pizzeria a few towns away (love it) & have grown to appreciate all that this establishment does for its customers. The later hours are wonderful for us late-night eaters, as most places will not take delivery orders past 9:30pm. PE is happy to modify or accommodate orders to the customers' liking. We usually place a late night dinner order & tack on a lunch or two to save time in the am. Drivers are extremely quick & courteous. The food is good, but the service is great. The basics--pizza, subs, fat sandwiches, etc. are top notch. Entrees vary but most hit the spot. For late night, you can't complain. Not exceptional Italian but the basics are done right. We are repeat customers. Glad PE is around! We'll probably call again next week!

Definitely come to PIZZA EXPRESS for your next pizza (or breakfast or lunch!) They have a great menu. I met the owner when I used to work at a business he shopped. Whenever I go in there, he calls me by my name! (I haven't worked at that other business in over 5 years!) Nice guy and friendly staff, and a wide range of options on the menu. Give Pizza Express a try you won't be disappointed!

God made this place. I love you pizza express you will always be welcomed to my stomach and my wallet. Thats more then i could ever say for a hot babe.

Not great. Not good. Not really impressed. Pizza definitely has its "own" taste. And not in a good way. Out of the 20 or so pizza places in the area, there's way better options. Like 19 better options. Made the mistaken of ordering spaghetti and meatballs one night. Never again!

I get the vegetarian dinner here sometimes even though I'm not a vegetarian. The platter consists of falafel, salad, hummus, and grape leaves which is satisfactory and not expensive. This place makes a very different style pizza that's definitely not jersey pizza. This place features gyros and falafel on the menu so it should give you some kind of clue as to what some of the specialties are. It's good if you're looking for something off the beaten path but if you want that familiar Jersey slice you won't find it here. I like that it's open until midnight sometimes. It's great if you're looking for some late night eats and it beats going to the diner.

Pizza express I went in for breakfast. I was skeptical at first, of course it was just an old pizza place but as soon as I came in for my early day meal I was strongly taken in by how attentive and caring the staff was. Nothing was too demanding. They'd remove the Katsup bottle from the table, have a microwaved cup of coffee ready and waiting with an ice cold vessel of milk beckoning for integration. The eggs were cooked to perfection, some scrambled, some over easy, none poached unfortunately. But always perfect. The potatoes were just as one would expect. Light and fluffy yet hearty as this flask of black label I keep in my sock for times as these The toast reminded me of my own youth. A true and proper diner experience that is rare on the San Diego diner scene... Congratulations pizza express. More than just sandwiches filled with anchovies, chicken finger and meatballs, they've decided to sponsor a could be classic in terms of basic, simple food. Cooked with local ingredients, Although the food is where Jesus would give hugs, the real Jem of the business is the help. Always so kind and helpful. The staff took care of my wife and I during our brief time in town. But the real points are earned with the attentiveness of the flying attendance. Always an eye on the table. Always filling empty drinks. But also compassion. Tenderness. Honest emotion free of charge. My new favorite place to enjoy with my father. I wish I could be here more

Pizza is eh believe it or not. Fat sandwiches available which is pretty cool... cheesesteak chicken tenders fries and mozz sticks all on one sub. Rice pudding is amazing highly recommend. Overall good drunk food. They deliver up until 1am some nights locally so this place ends up being one of my last options for a bite.

Great late night delivery... prompt & friendly & reasonable. I would order from them again. The pizza was not greasy & tasted fresh!! The only place open that would deliver on a late night Saturday

Had a great breakfast here. Husband had pancakes and bacon and I had pork roll & egg sandwich. Large portions and can't beat the prices . Will have to try dinner and their pizza pie. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean and well kept.

I've found that living in this area for the last 6 years every take out place is good for 2-3 things. Pizza express has a very good white pizza with garlic, oil, and fresh tomato. They also have good chicken fingers with awesome honey mustard. Unfortunately they lay the hot chicken on top of the fries rendering the fries soft, mushy, and unenjoyable. They should fix that. Their curly fries were good too. Mozz sticks were the worst I've ever had and the marinara with it was real bad. Chicken cheesesteak was dry and bland. Delivery service is excellent. Drivers are very polite and professional. $2 delivery charge is nonsense but they do have an online coupon for $2 off delivery over $25. On those cold nights when you just can't will yourself to go pick up Pats, Pizza Express is hit or miss.

Been a long fan of their sandwiches, but tonight changed my mind. How can you F up a meatball parm? Try making it 70% sauce, 15% cheese and 15% meatball. My halves were so sauce drenched and bare of meatballs it wasn't edible, you cant eat a sandwich that falls apart when you TRY to pick it up. Next, the meatball parm USED to be the most affordable, now it's 10 dollars in itself and I couldn't even eat half of it, never ordering from here again, I could have flushed 10 dollars away on my own without tipping your driver 3 bucks along with. So tired of everything around here going to crap!

Place is a joke. Buffalo chicken wrap was all lettuce, tomato, and onion...barely any chicken.

Over the year since I made my initial scything review (which I stand by for the time i made it) I was opened up to a different side of Pizza Express. While I did re try the pizza and it while nothing special got better, I like to talk more about their, wings, Stromboli, buffalo chicken cheese steaks, and their *fat sandwiches* all of which are excellent. Coupled with the fact they are the only place to order food past 11 in the area makes Pizza Express a lot better than I first gave it credit for. Recently I have moved back to the Trenton area, but I will be missing Pizza Express and recall its many drunken late night orders fondly.

Terrible speciality pizza. Tasted like school cafeteria pizza. Buffalo wings were basically fried chicken wings. Prices were good and the place is open late are the only positives. You get what you pay for here... Good if you're drunk maybe

Great place to go for breakfast. Food is really good. Prices are affordable. Waitresses are very nice. Go there and try the food. You won't be disappointed. Lunch is also good.

My wife and I often go to Pizza Express for breakfast. Vicki and Megan always take good care of us. The pancakes are huge and the food is served quickly. A good place to start the day. Occasionally we'll order a cheesesteak for dinner with a side of fries that are big enough to share. Delivery has always been pretty quick. Prices are affordable.

Lots of menu items. Good service. Food was great and pizza looked good. Great place to stop by when down the shore.

I'm a little disappointed in Pizza Express this evening. We order fairly frequently and usually get good service and food. Tonight, however, they forgot our soda on the first run and had to come back .After they'd already left the second time, I realized my Chef Salad didn't have any cheese or bacon in it. It was just the chicken and vegetables including an entirely too large pile of onion slices. Definitely not up to their usual standards this time.

Delivery pizza is probably the best in a five-mile radius and that's saying a lot for this area. The hot subs are also very good. Delivery is reasonably fast. They have a $2 delivery charge. I generally take pretty good care of the kids who deliver because I don't know if they see any of that $2. As far as having a sit-down non-pizza breakfast or lunch here, I'd call the food somewhat below average.

To use the word Express in their name could be called false advertising. We gave it a try for breakfast. It took about 5 minutes to get seated when there were empty tables. It took another 5 for a wait person to arrive and a good 20 minutes for the food to arrive. An hour for breakfast??!! Me thinks not! The food was fine but the service was so damn slow! If you want a quick breakfast this surely is not the place to go.

This is the worst review I have ever posted. We ordered 2 slices of "buffalo chicken pizza". The "buffalo" sauce was more like a spicy ketchup sauce, and I hate ketchup. Secondly, why in the world did they think that would pass for buffalo? You are way better off ordering from Papa V's in Brick, their buffalo pizza is the best. I will definitely never order this again and I can't believe this came from a reputable place in Point. Very dissatisfied.
