Queen’s Platinum Pudding Marks Platinum Jubilee Celebrations 2022 | Eater London

"The Woking branch's chocolate fudge cake—initially considered a strong contender for the platinum pudding contest—was disqualified by the competition's rules because cakes are explicitly ruled out, meaning it would be ineligible unless reworked into a steamed sponge pudding that meets the specified criteria." - James Hansen

Pizza Express Restaurants Are Closing as Coronavirus Infects Chains | Eater London

"An outlet in Woking attracted significant negative publicity after being linked to an international child‑sex trafficking investigation involving Prince Andrew, a reputational blow that compounded existing financial and operational pressures during a period of declining sales and restructuring." - James Hansen

Pizza Express Woking Is Prince Andrew’s Favourite Jeffrey Epstein Alibi | Eater London

"A Woking pizza branch was thrust into a public-relations storm after a high-profile interview in which a royal used a pizza party with his daughter as an alibi for a 2001 sexual-assault allegation. The internet responded with extreme skepticism and a flood of parody Google reviews, lampooning details from the interview—examples cited an American pizza on a balmy spring evening in 2001, broken air conditioning making the room stuffy, and a neighbouring diner who allegedly didn’t break a sweat (claimed to be from an adrenaline rush). The mock reviews playfully praised the staff for treating customers like royalty, and the episode prompted jokes about a possible spicy, commemorative pizza named after the royal, all while dragging the branch’s reputation into the spotlight." - James Hansen

Came here first time. We have been to many pizza express around UK, but loved the food here best. Friendly manger and staff. Nice music and ambience. Decor is also very nice. We booked online but had enough space as it was Sunday evening. Was lucky to get free off street parking. Will sure come again.

Really disappointed, the staff were lovely but I couldn’t enjoy the meal because of the hoards of fruit lies swarming our table, they were everywhere and it completely ruined my meal with my partner. It’s not nice to have to swat flies every five seconds when you’re trying to have a date with your other half… really kills the mood. Our server was lovely and Is a credit to the branch she was the most positive part of the night.

Quite happy with the food especially the pizza. Our starter meat balls will be better if they are warmer, they came like lukewarm. Staff are super friendly but running a bit short, they are still smiley and very polite.

Lovely team at Woking branch, everytime I come over I feel so welcomed and part of the family. Matteo, Mic and Ana they are superb, and certainly make you feel completely at home, couldn't really ask for more. I absolutely recommend, if you haven't been here by now, then you are missing a treat, trust me.

This has been our family place since 2015! We have been eating in various Pizzas Express locations over the years but none of them has ever been as good as the One in Woking! The whole team, especially Mateo, has always been providing amazing service to us!

So... never actually been to a Pizza Express but my partner has and said how good they were. Wasn't expecting to actually have such a great experience! The food was amazing the ambience was great, clean, tidy and the staff were fantastic! Really Wasn't expecting the staff to actually be Italian 😂 Massive shout out to our waiter Michael who really made the whole experience! Pizza Express Woking you have gone above and beyond to make a chain not a chain 👏👏👏😍🍕🇮🇹

The Pizza Express in Woking delivers a flawless dining experience, starting with a Romana Padana that handles like a dream—crisp crust, perfectly balanced toppings, zero grease slippage. But the real high point of the evening was the surprise appearance of Prince Andrew (or his absolute double) studying the menu with the focus of a seasoned diplomat. His regal presence confirmed the Woking branch holds the crown for top-tier casual dining. Highly recommended for a five-star meal and unexpected celebrity spotting.

I actually dined here on 13th June 2022, it seems like an odd date to remember but going to pizza express in Woking is an unusual thing for me to do. I was visiting to break up a relationship with a long time friend over dinner, since doing it over the phone is the "chickens way" of doing it. I ordered a Hawaiian Romana pizza but was served a regular Hawaiian pizza instead. I would've sent it back, but I was too honourable to kick up a fuss - other than that service was perfect and we enjoyed our pizza very much. I would've stayed the night at the nearby Hilton but chose to stay at the friend's house instead as it was a convenient place to stay. I look forward to coming again

Yelp
Where do I start? In all my years of living, of all the trips I've taken with my ultra-wealthy friends I can only name a few memories I've had with them but my experience at the Pizza Express in Woking 10+ years ago...unforgettable, it was March the 10th at around 5:16 PM to be exact with the wind around 7 mph to the south east and as I remember it we went in a black Bentley. I say mph and not km because I got used to the imperial system after visiting with my friend Jeff in Palm Beach several times but had to stop visiting him because of my tendency to be too honorable. The customer service was exceptional, the employee repeated my order back to me and said, "Mate, you look awful hungry. Let me upgrade that medium cheese to a large for ya ole chap. No sweat!" It was a very unusual thing for me to do to be in Woking at this time. My friends ask me, "Hey, remember that golf trip?" "Hey, remember that time on the Yacht?" "Ole' chap, remember that time we partied at Windsor?" and I just can't remember those times but the one hour and 52 minutes I spent at Pizza Express 20 years ago I'll never forget. You can have the worst memory and won't forget your experience at Pizza Express in Woking even 20 years later. Only complaint is that the AC isn't the best but I never did have a sweating problem, I got shot at in the Falklands which led to a peculiar medical condition due to my overdose of adrenaline which has made it now to where I can't sweat. Go to Pizza Express in Woking, you'll never forget it. I had an absolutely royal experience.

Yelp
Pizza Express is a fairly good chain, and Woking's branch is no exception. The service is good quality and the staff are polite and efficient, catering to requests or alterations to your order successfully. The tables are quite close together and on occasion the place can get quite busy, but it is a nice place to go that's reasonably priced with friends or family.

Yelp
OK, it is a Pizza Express - for better and for worst. You know if will be good, but probably not fantastic, and will be slightly high. My trip was nothing different. Started with the Insalata Semplice, which was good, wHen "hand torn ciabatta" is promised, is it to much to ask for it to not be torn sandwich bread? Just asking. The Calabrese pizza was as hot as threatened - and I loved it. Good solid meal, only marred by indifferent service. Hopefully you'll draw a batter server.

Yelp
Pizza express still make one of the pizzas in any town, and in a sophisticated atmosphere, as opposed to some of their better known competitors.
