Punk‑spirited, all‑vegetarian slices and 20‑inch pies with vegan options anchor this South Grand favorite. Sauce Magazine and local critics note its community vibe, value, and loyal following. To‑go–only service keeps the line moving—and the ovens cranking.

Ordered two pizzas. One was the vegan meat lovers and the other was the vegan white. We also got a side of their house made ranch. The pizzas were so good and the ranch was also delicious! Super quick service, our food was ready very quickly. Thank you!

Google
This was an awesome find! We discovered this pizza place after a mailer went out supporting the minimum wage increase for MO. We love supporting restaurants like this so we came to check it out. They offer vegan and vegetarian pizza by the slice or the pie. We opted for a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni with dairy cheese. Both were fantastic. The crust has a slight crunch on the outside with a soft bread interior. I also ordered a special salad which was vegan and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. We will definitely be back and definitely want to try the vegan cheese. Mondays 50% of all proceeds support various charities. And at anytime you can donate a slice to St. Patrick’s Center. Any leftover food is donated to local food share programs. Anything that can be composted is processed through New Earth Farm. This is an all around amazing example of how you can do well by doing good. Kudos to you Pizza Head!!

Phenomenal vegan pizza! The vegan cheese looks funny but tastes so so so good. The crust and bottom are flavorful and crispy. So get you some!

Vegetarian pizza Good crust We had black olives and pineapple Weird seating area separated by a post office ?

Tried a new pizza place today in Tower Grove area - foldable New York style (order by the slice or pie) 🍕 Walk-up only (no dine-in available but, they do have a spacious patio!)

Ferg Van Hoy

Google
Some of the best pizza around. I would describe it as more of a New York style pizza with delicious crispy crust. Pizza Head is a trendy spot with amazing, kind and helpful staff. Keep in mind that this location is a walk-up, to-go window with outdoor seating. The pizza is vegan with vegan cheese options. The food is absolutely delicious. The cheese is creamier than lactose cheese. Explore some new flavors and options. Enjoy the fast, fresh, and LARGE delicious pizza. Try the beverages, enjoy some of the best pizza that you can find.

Google
Pizza pizza read all about it! Boy oh boy you won't get double takes or will you as you walk down the street with the large but niche pizza boxes. Lots of vegan and non vegan options! If you think you won't be able to find something, wrong by friend! I enjoyed the pizzas but got mad heart burn from the vegan 'meatz' pizza. The ranch caught me off guard. Dillish. Recommend for an experience and to fill your pizza heart desires!

Google
Creative, delicious pizzas - both vegan and dairy options. The crust is perfection!! There is no access to the indoors but it's the perfect spot for takeaway or to eat in the fun outdoor picnic area around the corner.

Yelp
All vegetarian pizza spot. Great crust, tasty sauce, good flavor. Of all the New York style pizza places in STL, this one is my favorite. Just remind me never to order vegan bacon again. Never again. Favorite dishes: Pepperoni

Yelp
We went for a slice but came home with a giant yummy pie! We weren't quiet sure what to make if the walk up and order format on a dark and chilly night. Being quite hungry we made a decision to upgrade from a few slices to a whole vegan pie. It turned out to be more spends than we expected ($32 for pepperoni with vegan cheese and tomato sauce ) but it was two meals for two people. And DELICIOUS! We will def return. So happy to have healthier pizza options that are tasty.

Yelp
We ordered this last Friday night! We made our own pizza with vegan sausage, peppers, onion and regular cheese! There was a line at the pick up window, but we ordered ahead of time and was ready within minutes! You can order online and pick up or order at the window. Nice ambiance, relaxed vibe, outdoor seating available other side of post office...

Yelp
Wow, I never heard of this place until yesterday. This place is only carry out or eat outside where there are some seatings. There is a small window where you will go to pay and pick up your food. Yesterday I got 4 slices of cashew pepperoni pizza. They were good. I like the crust a lot. The pick up was smooth.

Yelp
I stopped by Pizza Head after an event on South Grand. I've heard a lot about this place and thought it was a great opportunity to finally try it. This isn't a sit down restaurant. Or at least it was not when I stopped by. You order at the walk up window, and depending on your order, it comes out fairly quickly. I am not vegan or vegetarian, but if I was this would be a great choice. They have vegan pepperoni and cheese. I opted for the dairy cheese slice, this is the only option by the slice that has your traditional cheese. I definitely would have loved some more options like veggies on it, but when you get a slice of pizza and not the entire thing, that's the name of the game. They sell whole pizzas as well, as well as beer. The slice was super delicious! Hot and crispy and has a really good seasoning on it. I was super pleased with the slice and would for sure stop by again.

Yelp
Considering that I'm not a Vegan nor a fan... this was darn good pizza. The Foodtruck was parked on Locust in front of Ash Cigar Lounge and given that I had been enjoying Ash, I had to venture out and grab a bite. Thank goodness that they offer a non-vegan option.. but it is a vegetarian pizza instead. 12" Pizza with Sauce, Dairy Mozzerella, Onions and Bell Peppers. I was told it would only take 5 min, so I hung out right there to wait. Yep, 5 min later my order was ready. Pizza was hot, fresh and very tasty. Some parmesean cheese packets would have been great. Overall, a surprisingly good option.

Yelp
I didn't realize this place was only take out until we got there but that's okay! The pizza was delicious and it was the perfect size for four adults. I wanted to try the vegan meat but ended up getting the utopian pizza which is all veggies. It was delicious!! There is outside sitting around the corner from the post office that is the property of pizza head and had 4 large picnic tables. The service was otherwise helpful and patient with us as we asked our questions. They send you a text when your pizza is ready. Will come back again :)

Yelp
Delicious vegan meal! First time ordering! Got it delivery from their website! I ordered two hours before the time I wanted it and scheduled it. They contract out delivery with DoorDash which isn't my fave. Preference is actual delivery drivers from the pizza place like the old days. lol. The dasher arrived 15 mins before the delivery time and the pizza wasn't ready. The pizza wasn't ready until 5 mins after the delivery time so the dasher had to wait 20 mins for my order. A bit poopy for the delivery driver. Also not to mention was late for me but luckily I was fine with whatever. Overall really yummy but four stars because only one size pizza options and not a honestly their premade/specialty pizza options are super lackluster like no I don't want a fake meat lovers pizza, I want a veggie pizza. But to get the at I have to l build my own and pay millions of dollars adding every veggie. And the other option is spinach artichoke? Like I bet it's good but who has ever had that as a pizza??! Give me a veggie deluxe specialty pizza... Also they charge 4 dollars for vegan cheese on a whole pizza, that seems totally fine but then if you get half and half you have to pay 4 dollars twice for the two different vegan cheese options.... It should still be 4 dollars total not 8 because it's the same surface area. But okay good food but just annoying stuff like deliver and ordering and bad options.

Yelp
Very good very good I love the crust it reminds me of a New York pizza and I would know. And I know pizza I grew up in Chicago and lived in new York for several years. Though I'm not vegan or vegetarian I could eat there meatless pepperoni all the time. The flavors are authentic and they know their way around a pie. The service is friendly and I love the walk up window. You can smell the aroma of brick oven pizza from down the block and there is nice outdoor seating near by. Street parking on Grand or near by side streets. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
Pizza Head has some of the best pizza I've had. The crust is perfect- nice and thin in the center but with a deliciously doughy edge. Their toppings are all high quality, and the employees have all been really friendly. They only make 20" pies, but they're actually pretty light. Plus whatever you don't finish reheats beautifully in the oven the next day. I've picked up pizza in person many times, and also ordered delivery through Door Dash for a group at work, and the pizza arrived on time and in perfect condition. I was also able to order a vegan pizza, which my vegan colleagues really appreciated! Keep it up, Pizza Head!

Yelp
I truly love coming to this pizza place because the pizza is really large and it is also vegan. Don't let that deter you from going because it's actually really delicious! The crust is nice and then the cheese is always delicious. The spinach and artichoke also is really tasty very flavorful. We had a little extra garlic on top. It was perfect. The only downside is you cannot enjoy your pizza inside. So we have to get it to go. So keep that in mind currently when we went in January 2023 no dining services they were seats outside but of course because it's January you don't wanna sit outside.

Yelp
This is some of the best regular cheese pizza in town. It's definitely a slept on place. I'm not a big fan of New York style pizza but I give the reg cheese 4/5 Vegan cheese. 1/5: the vegan cheese is too salty to enjoy The staff is nice. 3.5 out of 5 overall.

Kristina R.

Yelp
Amazing pizza. Love having a vegan pizza place that gives so many topping choices! I love stopping by for a pie every time I find myself in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered a vegan gluten free white pizza with olives, mushrooms and onions. The pizza had no flavor. It was just bread with a little drizzle of olive oil and garlic. The vegetables topping were barely touched by the heat - basically raw. The olives were super cheap ones without any flavor. Not worth the money.

Yelp
Great New York Style Pizza. Probably Best New York Style pizza in STL. Its a little pricey but the owner uses all natural ingredients. Would recommend.

Yelp
As a lifelong pizza enthusiast, I'm always on the hunt for a great slice, so I was thrilled to discover Pizza Head - a 100% plant-based pizzeria right here in St. Louis. From its cheeky name to its inventive organic toppings, this joint has quickly become my new favorite spot for artisanal vegan pizza. Nestled in the hip Cherokee Street district, Pizza Head's laid-back vibe and graffiti-style artwork on the walls give off chill skater vibes. The centerpiece is of course the pizza oven where the magic happens. The portions are generous and priced fairly. Whether you're vegan, lactose intolerant, or just pizza-obsessed like me, Pizza Head needs to go on your St. Louis must-try list. The nut-based cheese especially lends a rich, decadent quality without compromising tradition. This is creative, craveable pizza at its best!

Yelp
Visiting St. Louis for a few days and was looking for a quick filling snack and came across this place when I searched vegan snacks. I am dairy free but pizza is my favorite food! Very rarely do I come across vegan options for pizza back home and was excited to have found this place. It's a walk up order style place. I got a slice of the specialty pizza, cashew cheese and sausage, finished it before we even made our drive back to the house around the corner 10/10 recommend!! I even tried the vegan pineapple sundae and omg I wish I had more!!!

Yelp
I came here originally to try the vegan pizza, but was swayed by the special of the day- the artichoke and spinach white sauce pizza. It was around $4 for a big slice. It was good, but I ended up switching my bf for his margarita pizza bc the red sauce was sweet and delicious! The vibe of this place is casual grungy. It wasn't very busy when we went in at 6:30 on a Tuesday night so we were able to grab a table. Truthfully I don't know if I will ever be compelled to come back bc so many places in St. Louis have good pizza, but I appreciate the vegan options they have!

Yelp
I am not vegan. I am not vegetarian. However, I do love the slices at Pizza Head. I am a big fan of pizza and when I find a restaurant that serves pizza by the slice, I'm there to check it out. Even if it is one that specializes is vegan and vegetarian pizza. I can not be trusted with an entire pizza pie, I'll eat the whole thing, so I prefer to order just a slice or two to satisfy my craving. My late lunch was two slices; White Slice with Spinach and Artichoke and a traditional Pepperoni. The Spinach & Artichoke was amazingly delicious. The young lady working the counter, informed me about the Garlic Powder and how tasty it is and she was so right. I sprinkled it on the WSSA for an extra kick. Even with the pepperoni being plant friendly, I couldn't really tell the difference. A little sprinkle of red pepper flakes, gave it a kick too. The customer service was casual and friendly. It was fun sharing pictures of our dogs. The ambiance is dark, edgy, inviting and very relaxing. Will I return? - So many slices to try. When: July 20, 2019 Why: On South Grand at lunchtime.

Yelp
Like every other American, I love pizza. Some may even argue I'm a pizza fanatic but I prefer the term "connoisseur". I know good pizza and this here IS GOOD PIZZA. The crust is something delicate, soft inside but crisp to the both & edge (as it should be) when properly fired. Ingredients are awesome. I'm not big on meat substitutes as I don't need to fill a void for my non consumption of meat products but I was coerced into trying the vegan pepperoni and it did not disappoint. The plantbased protein actually added a nice spicey flavor to the vegan cheese pizza. I ordered 2 slices for lunch, intending to save one for dinner but ravished both before I even got back to my office. Two days later I was back again. I'm a fan. ~Christy

Yelp
With dairy and egg allergies, my son has not liked any of the pizza options I have tried, until Pizza Head! I gave Pizza Head a call just to double check the vegan pizza didn't have any dairy or eggs. The person I spoke with was very nice and didn't rush me and made sure to answer my question to the best of her ability. The facility does have dairy in the facility, but the vegan pizza does not have any dairy or eggs in it. I gave it a shot. I ordered a 20" pizza with half sausage, half pepperoni, and cashew cheese. Pick up was pretty simple, but you do have to get out of your car to go up to the window to pick up your pizza. It doesn't seem like they will bring your pizza out curbside, no big deal. I brought the pizza home, and though it didn't look like any pizza I've seen before, the family proceeded to dig in. I was super curious what my 1.5 year old was going to think. I cut the pizza into small half inch pieces, and he went to town! He absolutely loved it! So much that he ate I would say a slice and a half. We ended up giving him the sausage slices because the pepperoni was a little spicy. I just love that we have a vegan pizza option in town. My family can finally have pizza together again! Thanks Pizza Head!

Yelp
Where else in St. Louis can you go as a vegetarian to eat incredible pizza and support amazing local causes? My veg-head kids said, "There's a pizza place for us, mom!" Though my omnivore friends agree it's their favorite pizza joint too. Their vegan sausage is reminiscent of the Totino's pizza I ate as a ten-year-old but without the dead animal or guilt, and ten times the flavor. Ethically created and out of this world! THANK YOU!

Yelp
I regret not trying the pizza here sooner, but better late than never. It's a very casual service place where you order at the counter, sit yourself down, and your name is called when your food is ready. No frills and it is as simple as that. Their main selling point is the abundance of vegan and vegetarian friendly options. I'm not a big fan of pizza, unless there's something distinctive about it. So I finally tried this place after hearing about the vegetarian Chicken Tikka Masala pizza, sold exclusively from 09/25/18 to 09/27/18 in collaboration with Bombay Food Junkies. I added a lot of crushed red peppers because I wanted spice to it. It was mouth-watering delicious, and tasted just like the Chicken Tikka Masala dish. I couldn't believe that it was vegetarian; that's how close to taste it was. I would've liked to see more herbs and meat alternative on my slice. The crust was chewy and thick - a bit more thick than I prefer, but still good. I hope this pizza flavor becomes a permanent item because I would come back just for it.

Ally B.

Yelp
So good! We were just strolling down grand and decided a slice of pizza sounded good. Fast & tasty!

Yelp
My daughter finally found a great tasting vegan pizza. The pizza was served super hot. It's old school real pizza. Homemade crust and the slices are cut in triangles, not squares. I'm not vegan, but I really liked it. I need to find out how the cashews give the sauce a cheesy flavor. The vegan sausage was pretty gI wish I lived closer to St. Louis. We liked it so much we got a pie to take back to Indiana the following day. Making Vegan Pizza Great Again!

Yelp
Great vegan pizza. Service was great, very relaxed atmosphere, and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Pizza head was soooo good y'all. So first off I have never heard of it and then I started working for this cool company and they always supported really cool businesses with amazing food. So I found out Pizza Head and started eating there and it's so good y'all like the picture doesn't do any justice it's like so good make you want to eat the entire pizza by yourself lol. Literally. But seriously I got the pepperoni kind with the works well done and I had with ranch dressed and a soda it was so good. Much needed lunch during the day or the weekend. It was during when C-19 first spread so they were still doing only to go orders only but it was still really good because I had visited here prior to this and enjoyed the in-house experience too. Even when I warmed it up the next day for left overs it was still fresh like it doesn't get any better than that y'all ? So yes if you on the South side of STL please stop by and get a slice of pizza with a soda on the side :) you will be happy you did! It's the real thing!!!
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
I went to Pizza Head for their collaboration with Bombay food junkies. Got the Chicken tiki masala pizza and it tasted just like it. I love meat so getting a vegetarian pizza with faux chicken wasn't something I was excited about, but surprisingly, it was delicious. More than the toppings of the pizza, the pizza itself was the winner. "Dat dough doe"!. It's the perfect thickness and chewiness. Im so glad I went there when I did. By the time I was done eating, the line was out the door and extended onto Wyoming St. My biggest regret is not getting more slices before the line got long. The downside of the place: *Not a lot of seats *Dark inside *No full bar or much of drink choices *Not very organized.... service was okay! Overall, the pizza was delicious and it was worth going out of my way to try out!!!

Yelp
Best pizza in the city, without a doubt. As a vegan, Pizza Head is a steady choice in our rotation. Cashew cheese with sausage is our standard. But, be warned: Your Kids will likely devour the crust. Our daughters (9 and 7) make a whole meal out of it. Well worth the money, locally owned and operated by good people. I hope Pizza Head stays around for a long time (and maybe opens up a location closer to my house in Chesterfield).

Yelp
We had an amazing quarantine pizza experience thanks to our friends at Pizza Head. Step one: Order online. It was a super easy process, we looked at the menu online, called, ordered a couple pizzas and a couple sides of their ranch. They told us it would be ready in 20 mins, and allowed us to pay over the phone! Step two: Picked up the pizza. Easy, clean, and cautious due to COVID. Step three: Enjoyed the pizza in the back yard with friends! Our two 20" pizzas totally slapped! I'm so grateful they opened up. The NY cheese and the artichoke pizza were freaking delicious, both vegan too! They sell to go beer that you can take with you, and they're also doing bagels now, which I can't wait to try. This place being so close to the house is such a win! Thanks for absolutely killin' it!
google avatar

Lexi S.

Yelp
Even if you are not vegetarian/vegan, their pizza is amazing. I was pumped to finally have a veg friendly "meat" option for a pizza and holy moly did it exceed my expectations. They do half and half pizzas as well which is great for a group because these pizzas are huge. One of the best pizza places in STL!
google avatar

Dan E.

Yelp
This was my absolute favorite pizza place in St Louis a few years ago. It had a change of ownership, I believe, and has definitely lost a step since then. The crust is still decent but the sauce and the dairy cheese just aren't what they were. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what's changed, but it went from transcendent to merely fine. I'll still get it occasionally to see if there's been a return to form, but it won't be my go-to anymore.

Yelp
This is one of those places that make me sad I don't live closer. Sigh. I checked out this place with a friend who was told it was good. Being half ninja turtle, I couldn't resist trying a pizza place. When you walk in, there is a counter to order pizza and drinks. You can grab a whole pizza or by the slice, and there is also a salad if you want more healthy stuff. I decided on a vegan cheese pizza slice and a salad with vegan ranch. My friend, being the meat eater he is, tried the pepperoni slice. Mind you, the pepperoni is veggie. Anyway, he grabbed his slice as they made mine, and my salad was brought out to the table. The salad was excellent! I haven't had vegan ranch dressing as great as this one had. The salad had actual green stuff instead of the normal boring iceberg lettuce. I could live on the salad alone, I swear. My slice came out a few minutes later. Let me be the first to say: the vegan cheese does not look like mozzarella. However, the taste is fantastic. I seriously enjoyed it. The crust was perfect and obviously handmaid. My friend was very nonchalant about liking his slice...actions speak louder than words, however, as he ended up devouring a second slice. There isn't a ton of seating here, but the tables are pretty cool with vintage concert flyers on the table tops. Music is good, and I loved the two arcade games in the corner (Ms. Pacman for the win!) I can't wait to have another slice!

Yelp
Cool spot to walk passed and grab a slice of pizza from the window, very good my first time trying didn't know they had many choices for the slices and not only slices whole pizza aswell kinda nice size sliced aswell I'll be back definitely be back !!

Yelp
All the vegan pizzas I've tried at Pizza Head have been absolutely delicious! The staff is friendly and prompt.

Yelp
I am visiting all the way from California with friends, I can not have dairy, so my friend found Pizza Head. I was not dissapointed at all! I have not had a white sauce style pizza in a long time and the spinach articoke vegan pizza hit the spot! The crust was perfect and fluffy! When I come back I will be ordering again!

Yelp
I really enjoyed this pizza. Tried plain cheese and vegan pepperoni. The pizza itself is pretty huge. I thought the prices were high until I saw the pizza in person. I was like, OH. The crust was so chewy, yeasty, and delicious. Cooked well with no charring. The pizza was a little greasy for me, I ended up dabbing it a little with paper towels to soak some off. But it was really tasty! I enjoyed the vegan pepperoni but my meay-eating partner was not as much of a fan, he didn't have problem with it but thought it wasn't quite flavorful enough. He said it added the appropriate amount of spice, though. I would definitely get pizza here again.

Yelp
This place is about as hipster as you can get when it comes to St. Louis, and I'm not complaining. It's like CBGB and Subarro's had a baby and taught it to make pizza. The decor is black walls with punk posters, niche memorabilia sporadically placed throughout the bar, and a constant line of people traipsing in the door. The service is counter style and the choices are typical pizza choices with the exception of making it a vegan option. Vegan meat, vegan cheese, vegan everything if that's what you want. You can wash it all down with one of their many tall boys of Stag, Busch, City Wide, or PBR. They even have a few taps for those that want a finer dining option. The pizza is well worth the price and 2 slices will fill me up for hours, and I'm a big guy. They do have specialty slices that cost a little more, but I advise anyone to stick with the combos if they are on a budget. if not, those daily specials are usually worth the extra coins. And if you have to get home to watch that extra special of Dancing with the Stars, you can whole pizzas for takeout. There is even outdoor seating around the corner under the large mural of a skeleton riding a pizza wave (you just have to see it, and if you've driven by it, you know what i'm talking about). It's a great place to meet up and grab a quick slice no matter the occasion. Kids and adults area always filling up the chairs. Give this place a chance next time you want good food that's unpretentious and in a great neighborhood.

Yelp
Words can't explain how much we love Pizza Head! Beyond yummy! The large box makes us feel like it'll never end because when it's gone / it's time for the next order!
google avatar

Yelp
Known for its excellent vegan pizza, but for non-vegans, it's some of the best (non-vegan) cheese pizza around. Love there are slice's available.

Yelp
I came for their Uterus Pizza special to support MO Abortion Fund. A great cause and I have wanted to try pizza head for a while. Y'all, this is the best NY style pizza I have had in stl. I've had others that claim to be but the crust was too thick and greasy. This crust was the perfect crispy chewy without falling apart. And the cheese wasn't a thick layer but perfectly integrated into the pizza. I'll for sure be back.

Yelp
Wow, the vegan pepperoni is amazing. I was in St. Louis for a weekend and needed a pizza Friday. After a lot of Yelp searching still couldn't figure out who offered slices. Then I came across Pizza Head which was really close to my AirBnB and offered vegan options, and not just a bunch of vegetables atop dough vegan option. I ordered a vegan pepperoni slice and a white pizza slice. Plus I got a Stag as part of the beer and pizza deal (which the counter person should remind you about when you order). Loved, loved, loved the vegan pepperoni. Delicious, a generous serving, meaty and not in a tastes like meat way but still really satisfying. The crust was nice and chewy and the tomato sauce had a tang of sweetness. It made me super happy. White pizza was also good. I loved it so much, that came back again for a pepperoni slice two days later.

Alysia C.

Yelp
Pickup window at front door for Covid precautions. Staff wore a mask. Ordered 2 slices of the vegan pepperoni. Oder came out fast and hot. Small outdoor seating area with picnic benches on the side of the building lacked any garbage cans for trash and the pizza boxes are too large to fit inside the garbage cans on the street. Pizza was really tasty but needed more cheese for my preference. Still would eat there again and request extra cheese.
google avatar

Yelp
Been here a handful of times and the one thing I don't like is the limit on pizza variations. Another thing that can improve is the price of build your own. The best aspect of your meal is the quantity you'll get. The overall taste is average.

Yelp
This is the perfect late-night spot if you're craving a slice (or two) of pizza! Interior/establishment - The atmosphere of the place is kind of divey. The moment you walk in you're greeted with dim lighting and an alternative / punk-rock playlist playing. There's an appropriate amount of seating for the place, which isn't terribly big, but each time I've gone grabbing a table was never an issue. Service - nothing much to say, honestly. People who work there are nice and I've never had a bad experience, nor had I had a terrible one. Food - don't expect this place to be the best pizza you've ever had. It's still a lot better than your fast food pizza chains, though, that's for sure. They have this deal where you can get two slices of pizza and a beer or soda for a discounted price and it's always worth it. The crust is perfect for me, personally, where it's not soft but it's also not super crunchy. I've ordered the vegan pepperoni once on accident, but I didn't really realize it was vegan until I was halfway through my slice. The cheese is my general go-to now because of that. Overall there's a well-balanced sauce/cheese/topping ratio happening on the slice, and at a really cheap price for a late night bite I always recommend it to my friends!

Yelp
I first discovered Pizza Head while walking down Grand Blvd beside people carrying insanely large pizza boxes as if they were their most coveted possessions. Intrigued, I tried a slice from their takeout window, intending to save some for my bf, but nope, it was so good that I wolfed it down in a few minutes. Sorry, not sorry, bf. As a consolation prize for my bf, I gleefully returned home with my own pizza box one day. I chose the white pie with spinach and artichoke. It was SOO good. The crust is out of this world. It even won over my bf who scoffs at anything without meat. Another day, feeling ever so daring, I picked up a slice of their pepperoni and brought it home and told my bf it was just a regular pepperoni slice. Tricked! He couldn't tell that it was vegetarian! There honestly isn't anything to dislike about Pizza Head other than it'll test the limits of your self-restraint, and you'll probably lose. Pizza Head 1, You 0. You'll eat way more than you intended to because it's just that good. Even for meat lovers like us, dare we admit it, but this is our favorite pizza place in STL.

Yelp
Nutshell: Very tasty pizza, vegan/vegetarian friendly, great prices. Highly recommend. We were still in the thick of the pandemic and I wanted to try a different pizza joint, so I headed online and placed an order. I went with the build your own with dairy cheese, add pepperoni. They quoted about 30 minutes for pick up. At this time, the shop was shut to dine in and only had a window for pickup orders. I hate Grand, especially on a Friday night...pandemic or not...somethings are consistent. I parked a two blocks down to avoid people. The girl manning the counter was prompt and nice. The pizza barely fit through the window! It literally took up the majority of my trunk. This is the moment when I realized a mistake may have been made since this whole thing was for me. A wonderful mistake. The whole way home the car smelled amazing. When I finally got a bite, I died. The plant based pepperoni was indistinguishable from regular pepperoni. The sauce and toppings were in perfect proportion. The bake was spot on. My total came to about $25 with tax. I will 100% be back and will try a few of their other slices.

Yelp
A pretty simple to go order for me, but well executed and tasty quality. I stopped in to this funky spot, and kind of wished I had time to enjoy the atmosphere. But I didn't, so I simply ordered the two pepperoni pizza slice and a soft drink special. The pepperoni is vegetarian, but my carnivore self wasn't disappointed. While it's not quite the same as meat pepperoni, the consistency it right, and the flavor is meaty and spicy. The pizza itself has a thin and chewy consistency with a nice base of red sauce and cheese that hold tight. This is good, because those New York style slices need to hold up, which they do. The special comes with a soft drink, or a beer for a dollar more. It was a work day lunch, and I went with the soft drink. I didn't want sugar, nor caffeine. But I was pleased to see a can of Perrier was an option - so that's what I grabbed.
