"Chicago college kids can get a taste of home at this homage to the Chicago-style deep dish. Deep dish is not the only option, customers can also enjoy traditional or thin crust here. Came into Pizza House on a quiet Saturday evening to enjoy some pizza with my mom—and can I just say, it was amazing! I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and my mom got the classic pepperoni , and it was EVERYTHING. Max P. was our server, and he was so kind and attentive. If I lived in town, I’d definitely be a regular!

Google
Pizza was amazing, and the bar/Resturant looked even better. I ordered the thin crust traditional cheese and pepperoni. I’ll for sure come back here in East Lansing

I came into town and was starving!!! The hotel Candlewood Suites on MSU campus highly recommended y’all. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and a BBQ Shrimp pizza (I don’t eat meat) and it was amazing !!! I wish they had a location in Atlanta !!! Highly recommend. Max P. Was my server and I wish everyone was like him

Google
My biggest complaint with the pizza house is the administrative fee charged to your bill for any card payment. I understand that the Pizza house is passing the cost on to the consumer, and the fee is waved for cash use, but seriously. This is 2025, let’s get with the program. I have avoided the pizza house for large groups and parties, just for this specific reason. Traveling further into campus, one can find a similar experience without the additional cost. I suggest for large parties, work functions, team gatherings following sporting events to travel a little further into campus for higher quality meals without additional fees. Don’t get me wrong, pizza house attempts to replicate Chicago cuisine, but not worth the administrative fees associated. Pizza house management, take a good look at your practice. Prices are high in addition to fees. Do better !

Google
Huge menu with lots of choices outside of pizza, if that's not your thing. Great atmosphere with plenty of screens to watch various sports. So again, while it's called Pizza House, it's not just pizza. Looking for beer? Yes, they have that too. Do you like pizza, beer and sports? You found it, right here. There's also a gym very close that I'm sure is nice to check out. Just know that if you're going to go to the gym, you'll likely hear the Pizza House calling your name afterwards or beforehand. Please come prepared.

Google
My first time at Pizza House was absolutely wonderful. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Alfredo and it came with a side. The portion sizes are huge but makes for a good midnight snack or lunch the next day! Our service was even better; thank you to our server Brendan for legitimately speed walking to tend to us and guests at his other tables. Very attentive guy with a great work ethic. Definitely will be coming back!

Google
Server got burnt pizza at our table and upon asking said it is served like that only as it had thick bread and keeping in oven for longer times burns the sides. This is no justification and people in kitchen does not even check food before letting it to table and then server gives this lame excuse that it is suppose to be like this only. He then said we can discount it for you as new pizza will take another 30 mins .. literally asking us to eat burnt pizza.other stuff ordered was also bad stale garlic bread and baked ravioli was hot on top and ravioli below was cold. Pathetic service and food quality served.

Google
Food was good; we had a stuffed House Special pizza. It was prepared well and came out hot. Service was good once we got some. We were seated immediately but it took forever for our waitress to show up and no one even acknowledged we were waiting. I'm quite patient in these situations. But even I was just about to get up and go look for an employee when the waitress finally arrived at our table. Prices seemed high, probably because the pizza toppings are charged individually on top of the base price for cheese only and that adds up quickly. Cost per item goes up with the size of the pizza. Toppings were plentiful but the check is likely to end up higher than you anticipate.

Yelp
We had a large party of 10. Ordered ahead and worked out really well. Manager was great. Server was amazing. Very attentive. Nice atmosphere and clean. Got seated quickly. Salad and breadsticks were very good. Traditional and thin crust pizzas were good. The Sicilian pizza was not very good and wouldn't get again. It was dry, too bready, and burnt on bottom. Drinks were okay.

Yelp
Glorified (i.e. high priced) knock off Sbarros. A jack of all trades, but master of none. And they are kind of annoying, walking around to apartments putting unsolicited advertisements in people's doors.

Lillian M.

Yelp
Our sever was nice. That's about the only niceThe food took 30mins at 9pm on a Monday with few tables inside. Our grilled onions on the smoked hickory burger where cold, burgers dry, and bread stale. For 20$ it was not worth it at all. Bathrooms looked as though they don't check them throughout the day. Toilet paper and straw wrappers on the ground. Will not be returning.

Yelp
The service was good, the people were really nice. The food was good, it was just a little too much on the plate. The building is really big, it's enough for a lot of people like big groups. The water was good. Definitely does not cost that much. But it depends on what food you get. I would come here again if I come with other people.

Yelp
Took a group here on Wednesday night. Quick service, no wait. We had the appetizer platter, classic pizza with meat toppings, tortellini, an Italian sub, hamburger. Everything was good. One of us ordered a bowl of chili and wasn't a fan of it. We will be back.

Yelp
Food was good, staff was all very friendly. Chill environment to go with a group or just as a pair. Logan, our waiter, was so sweet and all around great!
google avatar

Yelp
Don't know what to say but garbage 1.8/10 food is trash thankfully they had TVs. Girlfriend had a Chicago deep dish that was mid but that's fair since we're in Lansing Michigan. Chicken was like a hockey puck. Booooooo bad place

Yelp
Had a very good brunch at the Pizza Haus. I arrived around 11:00 am and was seated for a table of 4 and was promptly asked for a drink order. After drinks arrived I ordered a farmers omelet and rye toast. It took less than 20 minutes for my food to show up,which I thought was pretty fast, considering the lunch crowd was streaming in. This is a nice place to grab a bite to eat and I am looking forward to returning .

Yelp
Being on MSU campus frequently, I'm surprised that we've never tried this place. The ambience is fantastic and the food was great! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We came in about 6 pm on Saturday night. Our party of 5 was sat immediately. I had to get up and ask a host to send a server after about 10 minutes. No one came, my dad got up and got the attention of a server and she finally came over but couldn't take our order right away because the tablet was not allowing her to access our table. She has to go and get something to write with. When she came back, We ordered pops, an appetizer and our meals. After that we never saw her. We got sat around 6 pm and left with nothing at 7. Never got our drinks. Plenty of staff walking around and not a single employee even looked at us. I couldn't even get someone's attention to tell them we were done waiting. No manager in sight.
google avatar

Pauline K.

Yelp
Large menu, the pizza is really good, especially the Chicago stuffed, but has gotten pricey over the years.
google avatar

Emma T.

Yelp
This place is over priced and over salted. There is plenty of good pizza in the area, so head somewhere else. Dominos is better than this place. I ordered a veggie pizza with several toppings. When the pizza arrived there were only two broccoli pieces on my entire pizza. A personal size pizza was 19 dollars with three veggies toppings - wild! The cheese bread is slices of toast with melted cheese on them - not cheese breadsticks! I cant speak to the other items in the menu but I'd go somewhere else for a slice of pie.

Yelp
We heard that the pizza was good here. Watched a bartender back into a stack of glasses that went into the well and broke. Bar mgr picked out broken pieces and then proceeded to serve beer in glasses from the well. We had to beg for service. Also had to ask if our pizzas were ready. When I confronted the bar mgr, she informed me she was tired. Bartender became defensive. Worst service ever. Pizza was burned.

Derek A.

Yelp
Pizza was terrible. Service was terrible. Booth was dirty and so was the silverware. Also extremely overpriced. Skip this place.
google avatar

Anan A.

Yelp
Absolute joke, been sitting for 15 minutes waiting for a waiter or waitress to even stop by my table but they're too busy flirting with each other and with the bartender behind me, they passed my table so many times and didn't even say hello.. restaurant isn't even busy, multiple tables (2) came in after me and are already ordering. Just because I'm a table for one doesn't mean you get too busy flirting and forget I exist.. you still would have made a fat tip if you did your job. what a joke. Used to be a place I visit often when I lived here, came back after 6 years and well, it's a joke. Hire some employees that want to work not want to spend their day messing with each other

Yelp
I'm going to assume all the locals know about their town's Pizza House and if they haven't already, I'm sure they will in due time. A simple comparison would be that this is a cheesecake factory of pizza pies. There's a lot on the menu, not just pizza, there's a lot of food options, I mean, a lot. First time coming here, of course we got pizza, and it was not disappointing. We went with a Chicago style pizza, and it was ooey gooey, just the way I like it. There are also salads, wings, plenty of entrees to satisfy all kinds. People are nice and helpful when it comes to such a large menu with also a lively atmosphere. Besides all the great pizza, my next favorite thing would be their bruschetta and I don't know what they do, but I could eat a whole appetizer of bruschetta by myself as a meal alone, I'd be ok with that. I also had an alcoholic shake, which can also come without alcohol, but boy I could get lost in those drinks as well. I've been to one of these establishments in Ann Arbor and East Lansing and when they get busy that can get BUSY, don't be surprised because the wait can get long. But you might as well try it once, right?

Joe R.

Yelp
Incredibly expensive. Honestly think little caesers is a better option for quality and taste. $25 for a 14'' pizza that tasted so mid is robbery.

Eric S.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. And way over priced. Will not be going back. Should have known from the size of the menu it wouldn't be good. My entire group of 9 thought the same thing from sandwiches to the pizza. No music. Lots of tvs but no volume. Had a Moscow mule which was good. Never asked if I wanted another.
google avatar

Gabby A.

Yelp
We came in around 1:20 am and the two girls were sooo rude. They ignored us the whole time and once we came up to them to ask for a table they said they were only doing take out. Food was not worth the wait and the rude staff. Unacceptable.

Aaron V.

Yelp
Tried to dine here for lunch, but was unsuccessful. I sat at the bar as I was alone and in a hurry. No bartender in sight, someone went to the back and yelled "bar". I did get a drink and nobody ever came back. Sat there for 30 minutes without seeing a soul. When I asked to cash out, the waitress went back to the kitchen and yelled "bar" again and the same woman came back but with an attitude. The place looks awesome but I'll never know if it's good because of the service. You try to dine local and get shafted, makes no sense. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

William L.

Yelp
Poorly managed restaurant. The managers AND the servers all need to be better trained. Maybe the kitchen, too. Hire staff to expedite, working between the kitchen and the servers. (Maybe that's what a good manager could to to improve service.) I know it was a busy Sunday morning after a football game, but this place has definitely gone downhill in the last couple years. Server Ryan M. was absent from the dining room much of the time. Drinks got refilled only once after waiting 15 minutes for our food. Another 15 minutes pass and our food came out only partly warm and missing multiple items. He dropped off the food and disappeared until it was time for the bill. Never brought the salad that was supposed to come with the pasta. When I pointed that out, he "graciously" comped me $3.99, the price of a side salad. Hmmm. Thanks. Not sure we are willing to take a chance coming here again. It used to be a great place, but extremely disappointing lately.

Curtis N.

Yelp
Way way way overpriced! The food was decent but on par with a place like applebees double the price. Service was about what you would expect from a place where your bill would be $20 for two. Omelets for $18? Drinks were watered down to the point I had to send mine back. The menu is LARGE making you wonder how fresh the ingredients can possibly be with pages and pages of items. Our server was pleasant. One small salad a burger and two cokes $55 including a 20% tip. Better burger at Red Robin for 10 and salad for 12. Will not be back unless prices are DRASTICALLY reduced! Atmosphere, clean but dated.

Anthony S.

Yelp
Sports bar and grill atmosphere, this place is magnificently huge. Lots of TV monitors so you can catch the game, while enjoying huge portions of delicious food. Wash it all down with a selection from their expansive drink menu. Enjoy an intimate dinner for two, allow them to host your parties, or just belly up to the well stocked bar. And at least at the time of this review this place is open until 4am, for those late night pizza or burger cravings.

Isaiah S.

Yelp
The food isn't worth the prices. Kind staff, good service, nice atmosphere, but id give all of those for a price reflecting the cost of the food. The steak and shrimp is a great example of this. Certainly not bad, but the quality is being outpaced heavily.
google avatar

Ann B.

Yelp
Was craving Chicago style pizza and ordered a personal with mushroom and spinach. It is completely my fault I ordered the deep dish instead of the classic Chicago style. Nothing exciting about this pizza. Would give it a 3. Pick up was interesting. Walked in 5 miniatures after it was supposed to be ready. Place has about 5 patrons in it (later at night). There's a sign at the podium telling you to call a number to get your pick up order. Called was told it would be right out. Waited 10 minutes...at least the the pizza was hot.

Adam B.

Yelp
Allergy friendly and good food! Took family up for a MSU game, and emailed them ahead of time to ask about nuts, shellfish and sesame seed allergies. They replied, set us up w/ a reservation and attended to us knowing ahead of time. There may be some items with sesame seeds, but just have to pay attention. Fryers may also be shared with calamari, so may want to inquire. But so many items on list, anything grilled or baked were pretty much the way to go. EVERYTHING PIZZA related was great. It is the pizza house....

Luke S.

Yelp
Best pizza in Lansing! They never disappoint! Cook place to hang out and watch a game.
google avatar

Ethan W.

Yelp
Disappointing. We got Chicago deep dish but it's just like normal deep dish. Pizza tasted fine. Couldve gotten better pizza from little ceasers for $5 instead of $30. Their website and yelp menu is very misleading and confusing. Nice people but meh food

Brenda F.

Yelp
We love Pizza House! Great pizza, wonderful service. Perfect for food or drinks on game day!
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
Kinda bummed out. Was told by friends it was their favorite place. Calamari was 16 bucks and not cooked. We sent it back and was still charged. I usually don't make a fuss or send anything back. Ordered Chicago style pizza and was nothing special. Seemed like right out of the can pizza sauce. The atmosphere is solid and the staff was really friendly. I'm assuming the regular pizza is better but I'm probably not going out of my way to find out. I guess a 2

Nick M.

Yelp
Worst service I've had since covid as a product of terrible management. Went with a group of 10, and should have been told they were too busy. Food came out lukewarm, in groups of 3, over the course of 2 HOURS. Half of the orders were wrong and weren't even good. Don't go here.
google avatar

Lucy D.

Yelp
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here for the first time. Our server Bri was fantastic. She was attentive, smiley and talkative, and gave us great recommendations. The Michigan cherry salad was delicious the dressing was the best part. We also ordered the Margherita pizza which was great too! Good place and atmosphere to enjoy a drink, good food, and watch the game. We will be coming back!
google avatar

Alik W.

Yelp
It is an old school pizza place. When I walked in I told my wife it smelled like I remember Pizza Hut smelling when I was a kid. They specialize, as you see from the photos, in Chicago style stuffed. Their execution of it is solid. Not any better than a chain like Uno, and in my opinion a shade worse than Giordano's or malnati's, but not at all bad. Comes out quicker than those big places too (though we were here when it was far from busy). The rest of the menu is entirely standards, sandwiches and protein-heavy salads and fryer food. Haute cuisine this is not . However, they get extra points and this is a four star review for their beer list. Outstanding variety of drafts, heavy on interesting local Michigan things that made our hop heads happy, wide set of styles. Changes frequently too, they had to go looking for updates because 2 of our 3 choices were out. That made the meal a lot better.

Hannah E.

Yelp
I love Pizza House always and forever. The waitstaff is typically very kind and attentive and the food is exactly what you need whether you're wasted or not. I ALWAYS get cheesy breadsticks with jalapeños and it is truly the best version of cheesy bread to ever exist. The pizza is great for EL, albeit slightly expensive. The beer is reasonably priced and comes quickly. Xoxoxoxoxoxo forever Pizza House.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Ordered delivery to the hotel we were staying at for a Lego competition with my boys. The Chicago's style was delicious but definitely messy. I would order again. Boys had plain Jane pizza (pepperoni and cheese) boring. But they demolished it. Delivery person was super kind.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great meeting spot whether it's for dinner with friends or watching a MSU game on one of the big tvs. Despite the name "Pizza House" this restaurant offers an extensive menu and great drink options at their bar. With a cozy exterior, Pizza House is large enough to host graduation parties, rehearsal dinners, or meetings. Some of my favorites are any of their pizzas, their calzones, their buffalo chicken sandwich, their tomato bisque, and their cheesy breadsticks. Be sure to save room for dessert. Those are awesome.

Frass A.

Yelp
ordered pasta and it literally tasted like middle school food. they just put canned pasta sauce on top unsalted pasta.
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
My daughter and I got personal pizzas and cinnamon dessert bread and it was all good. The service was fast also. I'll definitely go there again.
google avatar

Mike N.

Yelp
Truly a great experience considering the circumstances. Went there to eat out for the first time since the pandemic started. Sat on the outside patio. Greeted at the booth outside by employees with masks. Seated quickly, and saw them cleaning the other tables well after every customer. Tables were very well separated so removing our masks to eat was not concerning to us. Our waiter wore both a mask (properly) and gloves every time we saw him. The food was quick, hot, and awesome. Stuffed pizza was delicious (and filling - I could only finish one slice). Thank you, Pizza House!
google avatar

Patrick Y.

Yelp
I love me some deep dish pizza. Pizza House does not disappoint. Going to school here, I never made it over to this spot, given the location I wasn't on this end of campus ever. Thankfully, we had a coupon for free cheese sticks with a $20 purchase. Fortunately (?) the deep dish pizza is expensive, so we had no problem hitting the minimum. We went with tried and true, pepperoni and green pepper. I loved every bite, the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, toppings, and crust. Though you do pay a lot, the plus is that I'm usually good for 1-1.5 slices, leading to leftovers for a day or two following. Our server was fantastic, and made sure we had everything we needed. Pizza House is a great spot for family get togethers, sporting events, or a nice hearty meal.
google avatar

Frank H.

Yelp
Please don't try this restaurant. Very bad experience. This Chicago deep dish pizza was served in cracked pieces. The red source on top is spaghetti sauce from the fridge. I've never seen the sauce flow like water on a deep dish pizza. The milkshake with an excessive amount of flavoring was awful.
google avatar

Joe Z.

Yelp
I come here a lot... I have spent a LOT of money here. The service has gone way down hill. The last 5 times it's been abysmal. Food costs to much, they won't change the TVs when you ask three times. Service is slow slow slow. Food costs are very extensive. Food is good. Not sure if it's worth the frustration any more. Bye
google avatar

Dawn H.

Yelp
Not welcomed while waitress spent much time talking to other customers. BTW there were 3 such peoples and maybe 7 customers. Our beverages were almost forgotten entirely. There was a large glob of thick dressing on floor under our table. The booth bench was broken which provided a vast array of entertainment as we dutifully nibbled the kibble. Portions awesome. Quality of ingredients above average. Flavor; simple, bland, basic, boring, uninspiring. I've heard about this place for over 15 years & was excited to finally go. The selling point was the fact that we could order 7 dishes & with slight modification have it prepared vegan. The end result was without much sacrifice was nothing that a dash of dried seabed crystals wouldn't resolve. I don't plan on a return visit unless I'm invited.
google avatar

Doreen M.

Yelp
They state the delivery service will be anywhere from 35-45 minutes and they are ALWAYS showing up earlier than that! And the food is always hot, tasty, and they have really good prices--not to mention a good selection of pub faves!
google avatar

Eduardo D.

Yelp
I tried this place with my son and his roommate. I couldn't wait to try this place as I love pizza. I must say I was not disappointed. The stuffed cheese pizza was delicious!!! I tell my wife that every time we go to Michigan State that we need to come here for a meal. My son said the Chicken Parm is good! The Tomato Soup was tasty!
google avatar

Annette M.

Yelp
Ordered delivery when I was in town at my sister's house. The food came in a decent amount of time but they forgot half of my chicken tender meal (no fries or coleslaw). I was sharing this with my daughter and not getting the fries was a big deal to her. I called and they said they wouldn't be able to get the missing food to us for another hour so they offered to refund some money to my card, which I accepted. The charge has now cleared and they refunded nothing - charged full price. I plan to call but am already exhausted by the whole thing.

Dan P.

Yelp
I'm a sober alcoholic, so I didn't come here for drinks. Maybe the drinks are what makes it worth the pricetag for others. I just wanted some food when I was high. The food wasn't particularly bad but jeez louise everything there is so overpriced. I ended up spending $120 to feed three people. It just kinda seemed like an average run down chain restaurant and not worth the price point at all.

David M.

Yelp
Attempted to visit on Friday, 3/18/22. Sat with my family of four for 30 minutes without anyone checking in on us or providing us with service. We had menus still sitting in front of us and multiple servers pass by, avoiding our attempt at eye contact.
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
My family ordered a super thin pizza with bacon, ham, and pineapple but we got pepperoni instead of the pineapple. This was not a big deal though, and in fact I liked the pepperoni much better than the ham so if I had to order it again I would get pepperoni, bacon, and pineapple. As we got the super thin crust (just to try it out) there was way too large a cheese+toppings to crust ratio and it was very difficult to eat. Next time I would get the regular crust or just try out the Chicago deep dish that they're known for. I also found the pizza a little too greasy for my liking but the rest of my family enjoyed it. Overall, not bad but would try a different order.
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
They are playing Bob's Burgers on some of the TVs and I've never been happier. 5 stars.
