Pizza Hut

I don't know if every pizza Hut location is like this but me and my family have all experienced the same ordering here. Ive only ordered online but they are insanely skimpy on toppings, sauce, cheese, and size. Just not worth it. I tried ordering without a deal and with to see if they were just skimpy and bad if you were trying to save money but for all orders it was the same failure. They have potential with the flavors though, but how it's put together matters.

I should have read and listened to the reviews for this location. I tried to give this location a chance but sadly they have no quality control and no drivers for delivery. This is the second time I’ve ordered for delivery and it’s come through third-party (DoorDash). If I wanted to use a third-party, I would’ve done it myself. I’ve ordered the my hut box twice now and it’s always delivered with sauce completely covering the personal pan pizza and sauce all over the box. I thought it was the delivery driver but it’s also happened when I picked up the order myself. They don’t have good quality control and really don’t care what they’re serving. I ordered a large pepperoni with extra sauce, and paid extra for original pan… this is what I received, the hand tossed version barely cut through. It’s a small thing but when you continuously get the small things wrong, it gets annoying.

I ordered delivery from this place and received a pizza that looks like it has been dropped on the floor. Completely inedible. I am going to seek a refund. This is ridiculous.

Lady took my order then cought then took my money. Then went straight bk to cutting pizzas n taking orders. Not 1 time I was waiting did she EVER WASHED HER HANDS!!! I won't be back!

The store was extremely busy so I understand an overworked staff. However they should take some care in to the quality of food they produce. I ordered online and the estimated time was 10-20 minutes, I showed up on time and the store was overcrowded with customers. My turn came and I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. 30 minutes later I asked about my food, I was told it would be right up. They gave me my food and I went on my way. Got home and the pizzas were lukewarm and the crusts were burnt, the cinnamon rolls were burnt and the pasta looked over cooked, burnt and dried out. Went back to the store and showed them the food, I said “I know you are busy so if you don’t want to remake this I will just take a refund and go elsewhere, I understand that you all are overwhelmed.” He said they would remake. I stood for another 25 minutes and they brought me the food. I opened 2 boxes and they looked better than the first so I went home. Upon getting home the other pizza I didn’t check was burnt again, and the cinnamon rolls too. The pasta just looks unappetizing either way I guess because it wasn’t burnt but got thrown away. I think maybe the owners should check the oven to see if there is something wrong as to why things are burning so much and also maybe turn off online orders or doordash when they are so busy because these workers are overworked and sending out bad food. Doubt I’ll return to that location again

Very dry answering the phone when I called to ask if anyone else was having technical issues on their app for $2 Tuesday pan pizza. Although I was told they were sold out and it was 7 pm it was the silence on the phone when they answered and the dry unwanted and bothered tone of voice while speaking . Won’t be seeing me here again. But surely the staff could care less. Less work for them means less money for the company! Who cares🫢🤷‍♀️

I order the big dinner box, plus an extra order of bread sticks from this store. Paid the $33.64 that i was charged for this mess (pictured below), and was on my way! Needless to say we had to throw it away. I can’t imagine anyone boxing this order up for human consumption, let alone letting it go out the door! Never again will I spend my hard earned money at this pizza hut. If upper management cares at all of what goes out the door, I would recommend retraining these people on how food preparations! Anyways $33.64 was wasted! Thanks!

Ha! Decided to give it another go. What a mistake! I'm lowering my 2 stars to 1. Pizza took 40 minutes past time they texted they were on their way. Called twice got a call center in India, never spoke to the store. After another 20 minutes, Pizza shows up. Undercooked and cold. Unbelievable. Don't bother, so many local places with way better Pizza. Total fail on Pizza Hut. Never again. Haven't had Pizza Hut in a long time, but our son wanted to try it. Now I remember why it has been so long. Breadsticks came burnt. Had a pan pizza that totally lacked in flavor. They do get points for the fresh mushrooms, but that is about the only good thing I have to say. Will definitely stick with Green Lantern, Cottage Inn and Hungry Howies.

When I first started coming here it was great - "perfect pizza" - but now they are slipping - at first I gave benefit of doubt - waited a few months went back - then I waited another few months went back but now- never again - they are not cooking the pizza long enough - it comes out light and doughy - I re-baked it at home but it was mediocre - this last time I got a refund - the lady apologized but now it's too late - I've got to find me a new pizza place

This location is horrible they under cook the dough - at first they were good but lately they have been taking the dough out too soon - don't go here - save your money.....

I bealive I did a review on this location before I gave them a second chance to change my mind and my god did they it must be a need cook whoever he or she is give them a raise asap my bacon and sausage pizza was perfect the perfect amount of cheese and sauce the perfect crunchy crust everything a pizza should be and more it also cam with boneless bbq chicken bites and man I don't know what sauce they use but it hits different it makes the chicken mouth watering good great customer service fast and fresh I recommend this location to every one I will return

My son and I ordered the big box which comes with two pizzas bread sticks and chicken bites . It was tasty. Haven't Ate Pizza Hut in awhile so that was good choice my son made . The staff was nice when pizza was picked up . But the one thing that was off was it seems it's less sauce than usual on pizza besides that my son enjoyed and so did I. Place is very small just big enough for a To-go order this is no place to sit down and eat because there are no tables .

Had a order through doordash. My order was not complete missing numerous items. From other reviews this seems to be a common Occurance at this particular store

Food tastes good but the order was wrong. Stuffed crust. Check! Pepperoni with Sausage. Nope. No pepperoni. Where's the pepperoni? I paid for it! Sensitive to tomato products, so no sauce please. Nope, got the sauce I loathe. 2 Stars. No warm fuzzies, all cold pricklies. Pizza Hut, you suck like a Kirby vacuum cleaner.

Husband just got home with pizza and bread the bread was burnt couldn't even eat it! I don't understand how they think it was okay to sell this, it tastes burnt

We have been ordering Pizza Hut more over the past year or so since it's close to home and also because it has been really good and consistent lately (pizza and the cheese sticks - so good!). However, we have been ordering once a week for the past month during Coronavirus quarantine as a break from cooking at home. I've been struggling with getting carry out because I am nervous about people being sick and handling food, but Pizza Hut has both the contactless packaging once your pizza is done and contactless delivery, so I feel more comfortable. The pizza is always good, and the delivery is quick with friendly drivers even from afar. Last week the driver forgot our two liter with the delivery but quickly came back with it minutes later right as we unpacked everything and began to eat. That was good enough for us, but without even discussing it with anyone other than the driver, Pizza Hut emailed me a coupon for a free large pizza with unlimited toppings to make up for it. I thought that was nice of them and seems like they care even as a bigger corporation.

This must be the worst PH in the country. Very dry pizza because they're so stingy with the sauce and every other topping that goes on a pizza. Recently tried the steak and cheese pizza thinking they maybe made some improvements to their pizza. Huge disappointment . Dry and bare as usual. The only thing I could even taste was the cheese. Don't waste your $ on this poor attempt at paletteable cuisine. Dominos makes a much better version.

Placed a carry out order with estimated 10-20 minute wait. After waiting 20 minutes before heading into the store to pick it up, I waited another 10 minutes standing in the lobby with 11 other people who were all waiting on their order. Was then told it was going to be another 15 minutes wait. Prime example of displaced workers. Being busy is one thing but having a nonchalant attitude towards getting customers in and out the door is the reason I'll never be back.

I placed my delivery order via web. I placed my order at 5:52pm today (9/1) and still have not received it as of 7:56pm today (9/1). I have called multiple times that resulted in hang-ups. I have not been able to get any help with this. I have ordered from this place multiple times in the past with no issues. I am very disappointed. This is for the Ferndale location on Woodward.

Ordered a pizza for delivery which ended up taking over an hour. Email confirmed the pizza would arrive within 25-35 minutes. I understand sometimes locations can get busy so I decided to call and find out if they have an ETA. Rather than getting an update, the employee told me it left a while ago and hung up on me. Unfortunate to see others have also had a poor customer experience.

We ordered large meat lovers and supreme pizzas from the Ferndale MI store on 9 mile. I paid for extra cheese for both pizzas, totaling $4.00, and asked for extra sauce. On the meat lovers, I ordered double pepperoni and Italian sausage in place of the beef and pork, with normal ham and normal bacon. I asked about the extra cheese to the manager. Lesley G., and she informed me that we received an extra half cup of cheese on each pizza and that was all we were getting. Then she proceeded to stop talking to me, and give a black walk in customer a deal (he wanted the meat lovers special, but did not order online, so they gave it to him for the ten bucks, instead of 18 something....) she was very nice and friendly to him, and very cold to me. So I'm not getting what I paid for, and ordered properly, and getting rude treatment, and she's sweet and cutting $8 deals with others in the middle of my transaction. I got home and asked three others their opinion on the pizza. Extra sauce? Universal no. Extra cheese? Universal no. Extra on the two substitute toppings on the meat lovers? Universal no. If I order a pizza when Lesley is not there, they do a nice job, and we are thrilled. If Leslie is there, we get ripped off on all of our toppings and she is so cheap she won't even add extra sauce, which is free. I'm also very tired of her anti-white person attitude. She is black and apparently only treats other black people well. I have complained before about this store and this manager. We will not be coming back. Ruining our Saturday treat and treating me coldly, like a piece of trash, while falling all over everyone else in a different color group is unacceptable. I am furious and I would like to know what is going to be done about this terrible, cheap, racist manager.

I called my order in and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I was even asked several times if I wanted anything else. When my wife arrived to pick it up, she was told that they did not have an order under her name or her phone number which I gave them. I could understand if my order wasn't ready but how could they not have my order? Poor service!

Pizza was hot and ready! The employee that was there was pleasant, professional and very customer service friendly. Update to be posted after I get a taste test ;-)

The manager Lesley is VERY rude. I enjoy ordering food here, but I don't like having to deal with her attitude. I called at 10:28p to place a last minute order, during these times where ordering and receiving food is hard, and she hung up on me b/c she was more interested in getting off than doing her job. I had to call back and speak to someone else just to get my question answered just to be told I had to come in 15 mins (by 10:45) to place an order. I frequent this location and never have been treated in such a way. I remain a Pizza Hut (food) fan but she needs to get her act together. The customer service is unacceptable and this visit is definitely 1-star material. Top top it off, there was a hair in my food!!!!!!!

This location is particularly bad. I ordered three pizzas through their crappy app, and they got all three pizzas wrong. They also took 25 minutes for my "ready in 15 minutes" pick-up order. They weren't even on the conveyor belt when I arrived. Do yourself a favor and take your business to any local pizza joint, this place is horrible.

The person working the front during lunch on weekdays is very rude. Doesn't listen and then wants to tell you what you didn't say. Won't be going back here again!

We usually order food from here but I will be looking for a new place to order. When picking up my pizza today I noticed a lady working in the back with her hair exposed. It did not look good and made me lose my appetite. If you are working in the kitchen area, it is mandatory to wear hair nets.

Holy Crap! This pizza is the worst! I ordered a simple mushroom pizza, and it was among the worst pizzas I've ever eaten. Though I picked up a carry-out, the restaurant looked disheveled. It was a real mess. This was surprising because there were several people chilling out behind the counter, not doing much of anything. For humanity's sake, find your pizza elsewhere!

So far I've taken two of my family members down to Ferndale for lunch, and with all the vast restaurant options available, both of those family members have chosen Pizza Hut. Here's the thing about my family: when we get hungry, we want to eat NOW. So, a hot buffet full of pizza is never a bad thing. There are many ways for a buffet to go horribly wrong, but this one is quite decent. The pizza, pasta, & breadsticks are hot and there's a pretty high turnover rate so it's fresh. The service is friendly enough, considering all they have to do is bring you a drink and then a bill. There are TV's in every corner so you if your dining companion is boring you can watch ESPN or CNN. I haven't tried their delivery yet but I'll be moving to Ferndale soon and will be holding a summer-long taste test of all the area pizza deliveries. So, you can eagerly look forward to me updating this review once I see how well they do at dropping off some hot pizza at my doorstep.

Horrible and disappointing delivery tonight. After waiting for OVER AN HOUR the pizza arrived with no cheese?!?! Brownies delivered were not fully cooked ?! We also didn't receive our whole order. Do not recommend this location and will never call them again.

I'm a huge fan of Pizza Hut's thin crust pizza: pepperoni and cheese, please. I also love, love, love Pizza Hut's boneless and bone-in wings: mild or asian zing - yummy to my tummy!! A few nice things about Pizza Hut's online ordering system. You can create a profile, which includes your credit card info, so placing future orders is simple. There is no need to re-enter info each time you place an order. You can also tag your orders, which allows you to place orders by text message. Finally, Pizza Hut has an iPhone app that uses your online profile to place orders with a click of few buttons - Bravo Pizza Hut for embracing technology! Delivery is $2.00 extra - but it is so worth it when you are lazy like me. The food is always fresh, hot, and yummy.

Yuck. I haven't had Pizza Hut in years, but recently received a gift card. I don't know if it's this location or Pizza Hut in general, but it's bad. I got the cheese sticks and a stuffed crust pizza and both were awful. I can't even describe the overall taste. The sauce was sweet, which I disliked. The pizza was thin. Cheese was tasteless. Not good.

I recently called for a delivery less than 2 miles, and was denied due to change of policy.

Raven is so unprofessional I will not order from your store again. If she's really your Manager you should get her customer service training.

Got delivery the other day. Part of the order was boneless wings. There was something wrong with the chicken. Pizza was just okay. We got hand-tossed, so maybe the deep dish is better.

Used to love Pizza Hut pizza. This location has made me never want to order it again. I've gone back to it multiple times to give it another chance but it just keeps disappointing

I wish I could say something good about this place but the only two times that I been to this location, the pizza was horrible. Few toppings, dough was very doughy (asked for well done both times). Pizza wasn't cut right. There was different sized slices and the blade they used was dull both times. Was able to pick up the whole pizza by grabbing one slice. I ordered when they used to be across the street. They are still just as bad, probably worse. If you want good quality pizza for a good price, I highly recommend Nick's Pizza in Ferndale on 9 mile.

I just had the rudest experience in the Ferndale, MI Pizza hut. They were as nasty as ever and who wants food from nasty employees. I did not get my order due to such disrespect from the employee. I Retired from the Army and I was looking forward to some good old Pizza Hut. Not from the Ferndale location ever again. Terrible customer service. No hair nets and they did not wash their hands when coming from the back to wait on me. Yelk to the service there.

I've worked at many different pizza joints and never was i this disgusted at a pizza place like i was with pizza hut. I have seen many horrors. Employees not washing hands after handling dirty dishes. Prepping food on dirty dishes that customers will never know about. A worker dropped some wings on the ground and simply put it back in the container and served it to a customer. The manager decided it wasn't a big deal after I informed him about this issue. Be careful where you eat because this place should be shut down by now. Beyond dirty.

Worst dine in experience ever!! I took my two young nieces, there were over seven dirty tables! The salad bar was empty and the lettuce was brown, when we asked if they would be changing it they claimed they just did. It took over a half hour for our pizza and breadsticks. The manager was the most unprofessional man i have ever encountered and as we left we heard the staff talking about us! Save your money

Only giving five stars because my food was pretty good & done on time. I just feel that they should work on their customer service. Their not friendly they don't say hello , just stare at you once you walk in .kind of awkward uncomfortable hope they work on it. But food is delicious clean nice looking place . Will be coming back

This place was horrible! Me n 3 of my friends went there on a sunday night. Place was not even busy and we didnt hear from a waitress till 10-20 mins of sitting down. The waitress was dimond. She was horrible. No service whats so ever! Took her 15 mins to get us our drinks and a HOUR for a pepperoni pizza!! Not once did she come over to check on us. Will not be going back there again.

I have gotten some questionable pizzas from here, service is horrible and the bathroom smells. But I go back because I like pizza hut. Also back in high school I watched a dude huff ether and run through the restaurant listening to all the napkins. Memories make pizza taste good.

I would honestly give this zero stars if that were possible. Tonight's delivery took 1 hour and 37 minutes and when the food arrived it was cold, the crust was burned and it was hard as a rock. Certainly not worth the money, HORRIBLE!

Terrible customer service. Period. Ruined my order and made me wait another 30 minutes while they got it right. Offered nothing for my inconvenience. These people are ridiculous

I love pizza hut but hate this location. Never once has my delivery been correct. Tonight they didn't bring my bread and it was not even the pizza I ordered! Once the pizza was so under cooked we couldn't eat it. They are never accommodating when they mess it up. One of times they messed up the delivery guy was supposed to come back with the right order but instead they closed and no one ever came or called. Tonight they sent the driver back with the correct order so good for them on that. My love for pizza hut has been unfortunately destroyed by this place and its incompetent staff.

So I ordered a pasta and breadsticks at 12:45 and was told it would be here by 1:25, ya didn't happen, so i called and tried to find out what went wrong at about 1:45, (note, I was asked when I called "pick-up or Delievery?") was put on hold for 10 minutes for some dumbass to tell me there wouldnt be a delivery driver till 5 pm!. This chain has great food but this place has pissed me off for the last time, Time and time again ive been dissapointed by this specific location of pizza hut..... Time to turn that staff over and get some people who know how to run a FoH

despite what they say on TV NONE of the PH in the area honor the 50% off if you order online. Got a 5 topping $10 pizza. VERY LIGHT on toppings about 1 1/2 inch of crust with nothing. Crust soggy - not worth $10 sticking with Jet's.

First time ordering from new location & everything was great! Pizza, wings, & breadsticks were all great. Delivered on time, hot, & everyone was friendly. We will order again.

This place is a complete joke and it makes me wonder why I've ever ordered from there more than once! They have incorrectly delivered my order twice, and neither time was the order anything complicated. The first was forgetting to add a topping, the second was not even getting the size correct! To top it off, they can't even pull the correct 2-liter out of the refrigerator to send with an order. I order a 2-liter Mountain Dew and somehow that equates to a 2-liter of Sierra Mist... but here's the kicker: The Sierra Mist was ALREADY OPEN with a 1/4 of it already missing! Really? If these idiots can't even get a 2-liter correct as part of your order -- and sending you an OPEN one at that -- should you *really* trust them with your pizza order? You're better off taking the extra time and placing your order with the Pizza Hut location in Clawson at 14 and Main, not on Woodward where incompetence reigns supreme.

Wanted to order online pizza today with the 50% off as advertised on tv, online. Was told that the ferndale store wasnt paticipating in the offer. Very sad that i have to drive several miles to get my order. Loved the old location in ferndale family went there every week. Too bad pizza hut you lost a good customer

LOVE LOVE LOVE the pizza from Pizza Hut....Pepperoni Lovers thin is the best! HATE HATE HATE this establishment... I went today to pick up my pizza...I waited 10 minutes for someone to even greet me at the pick-up counter...my pizza was not ready, the phone was ringing off the hook and no one was answering it, people were walking out (2 young guys told me they were actually just going to walk out without paying - said they had not seen a server in 30 minutes - they did leave money on the table), the computer system was down so no one could pay (understand that is not their fault - just was annoying with everything else that was going on), 10 people were waiting to be seated....4 people were waiting to pick up carry out. They had no staff! 1 asst mgr, 1 cook and 1 server..... I had my dog in the car.....usually, it is a 30 second transaction to pick up a pizza.....I could not wait and just took my debit card back and said they could keep the pizza. Very disappointing because I do like the food - but now, this store has lost a customer.

pizza tastes fine. service sucks. 2 out of the last 2 times I ordered, I paid with credit card and gotten delivery and they have forgotten 1+ items. they suck!

Awful. Was in need of a fast dinner, so I placed a simple order. Delivery was supposed to take about 40 minutes. I called once my delivery time had passed and was told the delivery was out. 15 minutes later I called again and asked if I could change the address for delivery as I had somewhere to be right down the road. The guy in the phone yelled to his coworker (in my ear as he didn't have the decency to move the phone before shouting) to see if they could. They said yes, and took the new address and said they'd notify the driver. Waited at new location for them. Finally gave up, left someone else to watch for them and headed back home to get my son. On the way the driver called. Didn't identify himself, just said in a crabby voice, "I'm outside here". After dragging it out that he was at the original address I told him I'd be there in a minute. He seemed pissed that he'd have to wait a minute. I got to my house, he's standing on the edge of my drive and didn't move when I went to pull in - I almost clipped him. Came to my car door, didn't say a word other than to mumble my total. I paid him, he very slowly pulled one box out at a time and then walked away. Delivery took almost an hour and a half. Needless to say pizza was cold and gross at that point. Complete waste of money. Plus I spent more in gas driving back and forth, my daughter was late for practice and I ended up missing a meeting because of their incompetence.

I've decided to join Yelp. I believe that in this economy, we deserve to know what we are getting into when it comes to spending our hard earned dollars. That being said, I've decided to reserve my first review or should I say 'warning' for Pizza Hut of Ferndale. After 3 attempts of trying to enjoy the buffet in summer/fall '13, all concluded to be unsuccessful. I live around the block. I love Pizza Hut. I can buffet like a pro. I can not stress how MUCH I wanted to at least tolerate the Pizza Hut of Ferndale. Service was a miss each time.One time, a particular server was SO off that I did not tip. This is saying ALOT, because I have worked in the industry and tip like Santa. Predictably, they over charge for a drink, as do most buffets. The salad was brown. The pizza tasted FROZEN. I have never gotten carry out from here, but I will bet on the fact that they spend alot less effort on making pizza for the buffet line, which is total BS. They also have breadsticks (day old tasting), a pasta choice (resembles Chef Boyardee), and some Cinnamon breadsticks for a single desert option (yay... More carbs.) The Pizza Hut buffet sounds tempting. Don't do it. Take your hungry butt ovet to CiCi's and that will seem 5-star compared to this pop stand!
