The Best Restaurants in Downtown Portland | Eater Portland

"For hot slices that are sure to please, head to the downtown location of Pizza Jerk. The main menu offers a variety of classic pies like cheese and pepperoni, plus a Clam Jam with clams and white wine, the Meatzza with Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and meatballs, and the Lovely Linda with roasted fennel and red onion. For those with dietary restrictions, Pizza Jerk also offers full gluten-free and vegan menus with modified versions of the dishes found on the main menu." - Eater Staff

Where to Find Knockout Vegan Pizza in Portland | Eater Portland

"At this neighborhood pizzeria, Portland vegans will find a Pizza Jerk Goes Vegan section on the menu with animal-free renditions of cheese, pepperoni, and margherita pizzas in both thin and thick crusts. Beyond the classics, the shop also serves pies topped with house-made cashew ricotta, pineapple, hot peppers, and a variety of veggies. The lunch special with a chewy-crunchy slice, vegan Greek salad, and soda is a particularly enjoyable option for summer patio dining at the Cully outpost." - Waz Wu

Now I'm originally from New Jersey so I know a good Italian pie. This is by far the best pizza that has ever entered my lips! I got three slices the first two were gone in a matter of 30 seconds no these are Big slices. The third is sitting in front of me with a piece taken out of it, and right now it's calling my name telling me to get off the phone and come finish me. This s*** is fire. Wow!

This is suppose to be their “Margarita” pizza. It was basically just cheese with bad basil on top. It was super greasy and gave me a stomachs ache. The crust is so rough and tore up the top of my mouth. Atmosphere is good and staff are friendly but pizza is lacking.

I loved the atmosphere and vibe of this place, will definitely be coming back. Pizza was huge and a 1000/10 and the service was awesome. Left with a smile and a full stomach ☺️

I needed a quick slice of pizza during a conference and found pizza jerk. The first few bites didn’t do it for me and then it got good. The crust is tough and thick, but crispy and holds the sauce and grease perfectly. The cheese isn’t salty or spicy enough for me but it was really good all together. It’s the perfect quick slice and about $5 a piece.

Came with family and Ordered a large kale sausage pizza to go. Requested substituting kale with onions. The pizza barely had any toppings (unusually sparse). Couldn’t spot or taste the sausage. Barely 2-3 rings of onions on an 18 inch pizza! Toppings Portion very inconsistent at this place and unfair for the price point (~$30-ish). We ordered the same pizza previously and had a decent experience. To note- we went in on a Saturday when the store was empty and kitchen staff was idle, so not quite the excuse of this happening due to a busy kitchen.

I purchased the pizza by the slice, and It came soggy but warm. I guess I was expecting it to be put in the oven to crisp the dough. The flavor was good and the price was typical, just soggy. I will try another place next time I want pizza here in the area.

Very disappointed, especially regarding the PR with customers. I used to frequent the place prior to sale to Pizza Jerk. First time, I ordered a veggie slice to go, arrived home to find pepperoni. Today, my order was Greek salad, which was good, although the counter person did say they are mass made 8n the morning. But the veggie pizza slice was horrible, burnt on one side, very greasy on the other. Used several napkins to sop, still greasy. Spoke with the manager regarding refund, he said not their policy since I ate the pizza. I had brought him the plate with a full slice still there, I took two bites . He wouldn't give me a way to contact either corporate or owner. Or tell me when that person might be in. Ridiculous to lose a customer and potentially others over a $5 purchase. Not surprising I guess that I was the only customer in the place.

It's a college pizza place but the ya is pretty good. A bit crunchy and chewy and the prices are pretty decent. Definitely recommend checking this place out for a quick bite and the $10.50 lunch deal (2 slices and a drink)
