The Best Restaurants in Downtown Portland | Eater Portland

"For hot slices that are sure to please, head to the downtown location of Pizza Jerk. The main menu offers a variety of classic pies like cheese and pepperoni, plus a Clam Jam with clams and white wine, the Meatzza with Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and meatballs, and the Lovely Linda with roasted fennel and red onion. For those with dietary restrictions, Pizza Jerk also offers full gluten-free and vegan menus with modified versions of the dishes found on the main menu." - Eater Staff

Where to Find Knockout Vegan Pizza in Portland | Eater Portland

"At this neighborhood pizzeria, Portland vegans will find a Pizza Jerk Goes Vegan section on the menu with animal-free renditions of cheese, pepperoni, and margherita pizzas in both thin and thick crusts. Beyond the classics, the shop also serves pies topped with house-made cashew ricotta, pineapple, hot peppers, and a variety of veggies. The lunch special with a chewy-crunchy slice, vegan Greek salad, and soda is a particularly enjoyable option for summer patio dining at the Cully outpost." - Waz Wu

I needed a quick slice of pizza during a conference and found pizza jerk. The first few bites didn’t do it for me and then it got good. The crust is tough and thick, but crispy and holds the sauce and grease perfectly. The cheese isn’t salty or spicy enough for me but it was really good all together. It’s the perfect quick slice and about $5 a piece.

This is suppose to be their “Margarita” pizza. It was basically just cheese with bad basil on top. It was super greasy and gave me a stomachs ache. The crust is so rough and tore up the top of my mouth. Atmosphere is good and staff are friendly but pizza is lacking.

I loved the atmosphere and vibe of this place, will definitely be coming back. Pizza was huge and a 1000/10 and the service was awesome. Left with a smile and a full stomach ☺️

Holy vegan pizza!!! Thin crust and pan pizzas with nine different vegan fresh pizza options, plus a daily vegan slice option for $4.50. We started with a Margherita slice that had 2 different cheeses and was delicious. We ordered the Vegan Super Pie pan pizza (12") and it was indeed super! Cooked to perfection, balanced spread of toppings, including vegan pepperoni, soy mince, sausage, cashew and vegan ricotta cheeses. Superb, barely finished it between two people. Open all day, also has Jones soda fountain soda.

First off, I'd like to say that the name is misleading; the workers are all very helpful, the prices are good, and the pizza itself is fresh and full of flavor. There is a large variety of options for anyone, with much of pizzas being vegetarian and/or vegan. And for those who want something small, you can get a slice for only $4.50, and 2 slices and a drink for $10.50. Overall, Pizza Jerk is among the best places in Portland I've gone to for inexpensive pizza. 5/5

A solid place to get some great tasting pizzas. This location took over the old Pizzacato that is located near the PSU campus. We were able to get some good pizzas for a team lunch. My standout ones include the Meatball Parmesan (a special), It's Always Sunny in Cully, Meatzza, and the Super. The pepperoni is solid and the Lovely Linda is a great vegetarian option.

Came with family and Ordered a large kale sausage pizza to go. Requested substituting kale with onions. The pizza barely had any toppings (unusually sparse). Couldn’t spot or taste the sausage. Barely 2-3 rings of onions on an 18 inch pizza! Toppings Portion very inconsistent at this place and unfair for the price point (~$30-ish). We ordered the same pizza previously and had a decent experience. To note- we went in on a Saturday when the store was empty and kitchen staff was idle, so not quite the excuse of this happening due to a busy kitchen.

First time there , went on my lunch about 12:50 on March 18th . Pizza by the slice sits out then they reheat. The slice I purchased had been sitting about an hour and a half, but I still decided to give it a try. When it came out it was luke warm, super greasy and the bottom was black and burned. They also don't put much sauce on it. Overall would not recommend unfortunately.
