Pizza Land

We popped in for a slice and came back for a whole pie before we left back home to FL =) The crust, the sauce.. everything tasted excellent! Sure do miss a good Pizza!

I’ve been wanting to try this place ever since seeing it in The Sopranos, and it was totally worth it. Pizza was really fresh, the crust was great, and the toppings were generous. Service was quick too. Definitely glad I finally stopped by.

Happy I was to cross this off my bucket list. The pizza guy was by himself slinging pies and running in the back to cook my sandwiches. He deserves 10 stars 🌟 he was awesome. Steak sandwich was my favorite and if you're a Soprano fan you should stop in.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Pizza Land for North Arlington, our 148th town. Pizza Land is used to a lot of tourists visiting as it's a key landmark from the TV show The Sopranos. While there is a small bar stool area, this is really a take-out or delivery place, so it's not designed for eating in. Get your pie to go like we did, but come inside to check out all the Sopranos memorabilia on the walls!

If I could give zero stars I would I ordered pizza for my family and what came was a box of eaten pizza that look like a truck ran over it. We called to let them know and whoever picked up told us off and hung up on us!!! So in a wonderful gesture I called back and told them to go kick rocks. How rude and disgusting.

I'm a huge Sopranos fan and that's the ONLY reason why I stopped in to get a slice. It's a very tiny pizzeria, It must have been 110 degrees in there and they had a huge old fan blowing hot air. It's not a place to sit down and eat a meal. Only 5 seats and it looks better days have come and gone. It's truly a shame - someone should buy it and renovate it.

Location - easy to find Food - expected better; tasted like something was missing from the ingredients; they weren't lying when they say thin pizza Service - decent Atmosphere - laid back; small shop and space inside; if confined anymore and within another space and add a bar and this could have been called a "speakeasy" lol Reminder/hint- this restaurant is showcased in the opening of the Sopranos

Old School authentic pizzeria! Drove a long way to be here. Pizza was fresh and tasty! The place itself is a very old school NYC pizza place, which was very nostalgic! Pizza man was also so nice and attentive to us! Also I’m a huge sopranos fan and it was definitely very nice to see all their sopranos decor!

Pizza Land is an absolute classic -- the kind of old-school pizzeria that gets it right every time. Way too much oil. It's all over the pizza. All over your fingers. All over your lips and chin. Literally everywhere. Never again.

Pizza Land in Kearny, NJ is an absolute classic -- and yes, the Pizza Land featured on The Sopranos! The thin crust pizza is unbelievably delicious: perfectly crispy, light, and packed with flavor. Every bite reminds you why this place is legendary. No gimmicks, just old-school, authentic Jersey pizza done right. If you're a fan of great pizza or a Sopranos fan (or both), this spot is a must-visit. Wow!!! good service!

Had pasta from them when Pepinos was closed. Great food. Never realized where I was. Kudos.

They have a unique style of pizza which is quite good. The place is very small, but they have a couple of stools at the counter and some small round tables, but is a little cramped. Of course there is the requisite Sopranos memorabilia on the wall. The parking lot is shared with a neighboring business, so sometimes there are no spaces, but there is street parking. It is also a bit hard to get out of sometimes. They do have some pie and slice specials, but it is always good to ask what they have going on currently.

Come for the Sopranos vibes, stay for the two slice and a soda special ($5). Just don't look too hard when everything comes out of a broken down freezer and into the fryer/microwave. It's the posters and memorabilia on the wall that brings you here, not the food. That being said the pizza wasn't half bad!

Also, known as Sopranos Pizza since this is the same pizza joint that appears in the opening credits in Sopranos. Although, the cooks here are definitely not Italian, the pizza itself is excellent if you enjoy thin crust pizza. A slice goes for about $3. I had 2 slices, but could have had a 3rd one to fill me up better. This place is a hole in the wall dive with only 2 tables if you choose to eat there. The workers here are not too friendly or welcoming though....which is why I won't rate them 5 stars.

Please please please do not go here. The pizza is pure grease and the place is disgustingly dirty. If you don't believe me look at the oven which has not been cleaned in decades.

Good thin crust pizza that is a must try for Sopranos fans. The 2 slices of cheese pizza and a soda for $5 can't be beat. VERY limited seating - 4 stools and 2 2 seat hightops. There is better pizza nearby but the combination of old school oven, sopranos heritage, affordability and thin crust pizza is tough to beat.

Slice of meatball was delicious. Enjoyed watching then make pies as I waited. They use deep dish style trays almost Egyptian like. Hospitality was on point. Ambiance is super charming and 1960s old school awesome. Recommend.

I have been here a long time ago.Past this place many times and saw it on sopranos. Decided to give it a try. Seemed like it was new owners . Pizza was really thin and very good. Only draw back , it was super oily . I think I could have greased my car with a slice. after you pat it down with a few napkins to get the grease off its pretty good.

Growing up in Kearny, I was surrounded with the absolute best pizza. As an adult in Morris county, not so much. My husband still works in Kearny so during a busy week he asked if I would like to have pizza and offered to pick up on the way home. I was so happy he grabbed pizza from here, a classic cheese and an order of zucchini sticks. Still absolutely fantastic pizza.

If you want very fare pizza prices that taste unique it is ago too I went because of the famous shout out it gets on the Sopranos and ever time I drive by I make it my business to get like 5 slices because they are small also school greasy pizzas service is usually quick and space is very small

Good taste but the belly doesn't feel right next day. So not my place. Service is a bit robotic as if they are doing you a favor and upset that you are calling them. Not the original owner who was cool as hell but passed away. Again, Tasty tho. Maybe MsG in the mix because you can keep eating it. The place is outdated. Worth a try tho. But it's not the original that you would see in the Sopranos. Let me know if you agree?

Tony Soprano once remarked, "Well, when you're married, you'll understand the importance of fresh produce." So, in my opinion, the folks at Pizza Land are probably single. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is fine; but it's not great. Still... "a wrong decision is better than indecision", as Junior misquoted Cicero... so, if you're in northern Jersey and no one offered you Whitman's Sampler (Oh poor you!)... then swing by Pizza Land for the Nostalgia of watching the Sopranos. And while you're there, eating a greasy slice and definitely not using the broom-closet-bathroom, remind your son to buy land, 'cause God ain't making any more of it and that they're only as good as their last envelope. Stammi bene!

If you've ever watched Sopranos you know what pizza land is- I recently watched the entire series and I looked up all the places. Pizza land it's the next town over. I was craving a calzone so we decided to order pick up I got a pepperoni and cheese calzone and my husband got the meat Stromboli The only complaint I had was he missed adding the pepperoni, to my calzone- however, just the cheese was delicious - the meat Stromboli was extremely delicious.

Pizzaland has upheld its thin crust tradition in yet another visit to this place. This time I added an eggplant parm hero to the mix as well. We got the Buffalo Chicken pizza as usual and the Quattro Formaggio pie. I was a little nervous that the 4 cheese pie came with American cheese..... but it worked.... I'm telling ya.... These thin crust pies hit the spot. A tad on the pricey side but very good. The Buffalo Chicken pie was not too spicy and the 4 cheese had the right kick with the zing of for different cheese hitting you at once. Eggplant parm hero was above average. Better than a lot of pizza places. Sauce and cheese was excellent. The downfall was the the eggplant was a little too chewy. On this rare occasion, we did delivery because I was just exhausted and it took a little over an hour. Everything was hot and fresh, so no complaints. Just be prepared for a good wait if you're offering delivery.

Best pizza I've ever eaten. No complaints. I love pizza and pizza land is just so good. 5/5 would recommend

A great gem off of Route 7 in North Arlington. I highly recommend if you happen to be in North Arlington, cash only and strictly for pick up, parking is a bit hard but there's a lot right next to it where you can pull in and go and pick up. A large pie will cost you around $13 and they also sell personal bar pies, if you're into thin crust and bar pies this is your spot, would give this place a 8.3.

Over the years I have passed this pizza joint over a hundred times. A small hole in the wall on the Belleville Pike (Rte 7). One day we decided to stop and grab a pizza!! (Mostly because the hubs is a Sopranos fan) Was very surprised at how good it was. If you like thin crust this is a good spot. We only get pizza from here when we don't feel like going out. Now.. I'm not saying they are the best but they are good. I like thin crust and my greedy ass could eat a whole pie by myself!! ( it's that thin) but cooked perfectly. Nice crispy crust and has a great flavor. Worth a try.

Me an my friends from work went here for lunch brake, ordered 2 pies one half cheese half pepperoni & one half hawian half buffalo. It was the most sloppy most disgusting pizza Iv ever had in my life!! We grabbed a "slice" and it was all floppy and everything slid right off of it. I would b embarrassed if I serve my costumers that. Then we go to pay and the guy charges us 47 bucks like WTF! My friends didn't want to be rude so no one said anything an we paid. But if I was alone I would of walked out that place soon as I saw that nasty ass pizza. Do not recommend!! Stay tf away! I only gave it one star because it won't let me give them non at all. 0/100 fuck this place.

Pizza Land... an institution that's been around for as long as I can remember. (But if we're being honest: as a kid I never liked their pizza no matter how hard their loyalists wanted to defend and argue how great it was.) It's been a good twenty years since I last gave Pizza Land a shot (it was ideally within stumbling distance of The Silver Bell, Molly's and O'Neil's - R.I.P. to the lot of them!) so I figured, "Well they can't be any worse than Nonna Lisa down the road." Expectations were mighty low and lemme tell ya: the family gobbled up the food in record time. A well-executed thin pizza. Seriously over-the-top garlic bread. Decent/standard garlic knots (an order only has 3 knots so of course I let the rest of the family have them and missed out and only going on their reviews). Not sure if there was a mid-week special but all of that was under $15. A pleasant surprise, no doubt. (It's just off a really hectic main intersection so parking definitely stinks.)

What???? The Quattro Formagio is bomb! This place is classic NJ, excellent pie all the way around. Crust is amazing, cheese was high quality. I will def go back when in the area, super nice staff! Thx Pizza Land keep up the good work! Don't listen to the haters, hit this joint up!

Loved this pizza! Nostalgic Sopranos photos on the walls. Old school pizza oven. I got a plain pie well done. They have a thin crust style that I really enjoyed. Will return as I work in the area. Parking is a bit tight but worth it for the food.

Always wanted to go here due to the feature in the soprano's and the unique storefront. Took a drive up from Philly and it was worth it for the charm and the pizza is actually fantastic. Love that they offer add'l garlic as a topping. Perfectly executed thin crust. Will definitely be back!!

Love this pizza. Have had a few pies delivered. Delicious thin crust pie. Very thin. Sauce is excellent. Added sausage and it was Top notch. Reminds me a little of Star Tavern but I'd say better.

Pizza Land has been on my list since seeing it on the Sopranos intro. The Sopranos is perhaps one of the greatest shows of all time. I asked myself, would the pizza featured in the intro in such be one of the greatest as well? Well, I finally found out. Pizza Land is not somewhere you take a first date. It's tiny, with 3 high-top tables and a diner-style bar where you can eat your pizza. They have Sopranos memorabilia decorating the place. We ordered 2 bar pies and 4 slices to go. I watched in marvel as the chef made our pizzas. The pizza was really good. Definitely makes it on to the list of the best, but certainly does not top it. It's not your typical pie, thus cannot be compared to your traditional pizzerias. The crust is on the thin side, though not paper thin. With just the right amount of sauce and cheese. It had a different flavor then I am used to, perhaps more garlic/seasonings on the crust.

We love pizza land. It's thin crust is my daughters favorite they have a quick delivery service which has made it easy to order for delivery many times!

I love hole-in-the-wall places. And this fits that description perfectly. But don't let that discourage you from trying some of the best pizza in Northern NJ. Definitely worthy of the fame they received when the Sopranos series featured them in the opening montage. Great super thin crust -- perfectly cooked, and the sauce was authentic old style Italian like grandma used to make.

Fantastic pizza. Thin crust, cheese to the edge. Just the right blend of crispy & chewy. Cant speak to anything other than the pizza because despite ourselves, we just cant resist ordering more pizza!

Best pizza around! Nice thin crust delicious to the end. The flavor of this pizza is so delicious I crave it all the time. Trust me try them and get a regular pie well done. YUM!!! The crust is thin but soft and not burnt, and so flavorful. If they ever go out of business I will be depressed.

Maybe a bad night for Pizzaland, but the pizza had no favorite sandwich, was tiny not good baked ziti was ok, 57 dollars. Definitely not worth the price. worth the price.

4.5 stars. I do pizza reviews so you can see my video review on the One Bite app. This is my 3rd or 4th time getting this pizza. They are very consistent. Very thin, great sauce to cheese ratio, awesome flavor. I hungry person can eat a large pie by themself due to how light, thin and tasty this pizza is. If the pizza was less greasy, 5 stars all the way and I would be in this to upper 8's on the one bite app.

What amazing pizza. I mean I've had better but there's just something about it, I could eat a whole pie easily and I don't even like carbs and I try to stay away from gluten. The sausages sliced and none of that crumbled bullshit. Yes it's the place from the Sopranos Intro but it's also damn good not just a place to take a damn "selfie" in front of. Regarding "selfie's" you have no business doing that unless you're a girl anyway. Don't be a soy-boy. If you are in the neighborhood and are hungry I can't see going anywhere else unless you have celiac's disease (can't have gluten) then you should steer clear and have some hard-boiled eggs or roast beef. PIZZALAND... it's the right place to get a slice of pizza.

So happy that their pizza is delicious. You never know what your gunna get when places are hyped up but, I should have known that The Sopranos would never steer me wrong. Crispy thinner crust and perfect amount of cheese to sauce ratio.

Such a great little spot for tasty crispy pizza, my now go to spot for pizza on any given day. its ultra thin and cheesy and their sauce is to die for.

Pizza sucks.. i don't know why i expected anything more from a place called pizza land lol. Pizza sucked, fried chicken sandwich sucked... This food was just really bad, bland, and lazy.

OK pizza, but not so good that I would ever order from here again. I ordered two large pies. They BOTH came with the wrong toppings. When I reached out to get the order fixed, Pizza Land CALLED ME A LIAR and refused to take any action. Plenty of other good pizza spots in the area; no need to put up with this kind of nonsense.

We thought it was goodbye forever to pizza due to a serious gluten sensitivity. Thank God for Pizza Land, hands down the best gluten free pizza dough around! We've had regular cheese pizza and specialty pizza with toppings, really liked the Mexican pizza pie

Ordered through Grubhub on a Thursday night at 9:35pm. Took two hours. Probably due to holiday July 4th. Good quality food. Taste great.

Tonight we decided we wanted some thin crust pizza, so first thought was Pizza Land! We get our pizza and it comes with at least four slices so burnt that we couldn't even eat it. Now usually I like my pizza well done, but this is blackened and has that awful burnt toast taste to it. One piece was so burnt I thought I chipped a tooth. We also ordered a bottle of soda and received the wrong one but didn't want to make the driver go all the way back for a soda so sucked it up and took it anyway. After reading other reviews, the burnt pizza doesn't seem to be an uncommon occurrence. I guess we just got them on a bad night.

This Place is a joke ! Employee that took my order over the phone was extremely rude, I walk inside to pick up my order he's not wearing a mask neither are his employees and this place is filthy and disgusting. Obviously doesn't take covid-19 seriously. Don't waste your time or money at pizza land. I got home and placed another order from a better restaurant, I'll be donating my original order to the less fortunate in town. If you don't believe go in and look at the counter, floors and fridge hasn't been cleaned in weeks! I believe in supporting small businesses which is why I wanted to show some support and place an order but this place isn't worth it ‍

** Got the last pie of the night.*** So, Soprano's. So much Jersey love. The opening credits are a car trip many of us have made with Tony leaving NYC from the Lincoln Tunnel and making his way to the North Caldwell area. I was making my way back from Fair Lawn and needed a quick bite to eat and since we passed Pizzaland on the way, I'd figure let's stop in. I read about delicious $1 slices so I knew what I was expecting. Well this place is a dive. We walk in and it is nearly 11 pm so may be closing time but, it definitely wasn't the most festive of ambiance. Seinfeld playing on the one tv, I take a seat at the counter. This place is small, like barely 2 tables and a counter small. There is one other sketchy guy (really not that sketchy) waiting for his order. The guy gruffly asks what I want. I'll take 2 slices one regular one with pepperoni and sausage. He takes out this old looking pie, cuts off 2 slices adds toppings to one and throws it in the oven. Well just seeing that made me realize this pizza experience was going to be 3 star or lower; the pizza looked like it had been sitting out for days. However, both slices were $3.20. Definitely a penny saver. The slices are thin crust, like super thin crust and greasy. The toppings were decent and definitely added to the taste. The 'zas here are super cheap, a large comes with a free topping and runs you about $9. But, when I say the pizza is thin crust, it's extremely thin crust. So my two slices actually equals one slice or, at least that's what I keep telling myself. And again, they were good. Best pizza ever? Not quite but, whatev's. Decent enough and I mean c'mon it's in the Soprano's opening credits. Awesome. Overall, Pizzaland is a solid spot. Definitely a destination for Soprano's nostalgia rather than delightful customer service and amazing pizza (though their fresh pizza may be legendary!) but, I'd imagine Tony S wouldn't have it any other way.

I remember when the original owner was alive and nothing I mean nothing compared to freddy's pies then the son took it over and was still great pizza! The pizzaland I remember is lost forever and I don't know how they get all these good and great reviews I live right around the corner from the place and they must not see what I see but the place is very dirty! I only get pizza from there when it's an emergency like last night. I ordered 2 bar pies one pepperoni and one just cheese I got there and that joker tried charging me $25 and change for the 2 bar pies wtf?? And it always happens with all the pizza cooks each one of them charge a different price if you do order from them get the price b4 you hang up or you'll probably get over charged and p.s. don't order anything else but pizza trust me

I placed my order almost before closing and they served me a garbage pizza and a pathetic sandwich. Guys, if it's late just CANCEL THE ORDER. Don't give the customer crap food. You could chip a tooth on the pizza you sent me and I just threw the sandwich out. I'm done with Pizza Land

As a local, and actually not such a pizza fanatic, I must say this place will prove you wrong. They make the crust thin enough and just at the exact toasted-ness that is needed. Actually the guy will even ask you if you want it toasted! The slices are small and thing (but only $1 each!). The pizza isn't too saucy, which I love, and not too much crust either. The staff is great, same people all the time (although placing your order by phone is sometimes a bit of an issue- to get someone to actually answer). Delivery takes forever...but if you pick it up, they'll give you free paper plates and most of the time they'll give me a free slice too! This place will make you love pizza again! And yes, they sell their pizza frozen and will even deliver it to Alaska! lol

Excellent, never disappoints. Anybody who gave this place a bad review doesn't know what they're talking about. This place makes the perfect thin pie. Get anything well done topping or not and it will be great. One of the best pizza places around. DELICIOUS!!!
