Pizza Lucé Downtown

I drove 7 hours to Minneapolis to see the twins play baseball on Friday May 3rd and stopped in for lunch before the game with my son. We ordered The Bear pizza. I got to say the food was worth the trip. Best pizza I have ever had. Sorry Casey's. My next trip to Minnesota I will be stopping there for sure. Make sure to stop at the downtown location. Hands down well worth it. Thank me later. Thank you Pizza Lucé downtown team for all that you do.

I've visited Pizza Luce Downtown multiple times and while the ambiance is inviting, the service often leaves room for improvement. This is likely due to the fact that there's usually just one server for about eight tables, leading to less-than-ideal attentiveness. For a smoother experience, I suggest going for takeout or delivery. It's worth noting that parking near the area is a challenge, with Ramp C being a go-to option. Regarding the food, while the meat pizzas didn't impress me much, their vegan pizzas are a game-changer — truly exceptional and highly recommended for both vegans and non-vegans alike.

Love this place. Pizza crust is light and crisp. Flavors on everything I've had are delicious. We stopped a little after the Twins game started at 1:30. Not very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Service was great. We had beer, garlic cheese bread, a half hulapeno and half classic pizza. The hulapeno is one of my favorites. Spicy and sweet. Garlic cheese bread comes in about 8 small sticks with sauce. It was very cheesy! Really great place to stop. Music in the background and plants in the windows.

This place had great food. We actually ordered delivery to our hotel at the Radisson nearby. Not only does this place not charge a fee, but they have a ton of vegetarian and vegan options. And everything is clearly labeled on their menu. This was some of the best food that we had during our entire visit to Minneapolis. We were very pleased. Also it was a great value for your money.

I usually really enjoy Pizza Luce, but this time it came raw doughy and cold as a mofo. Usually, Pizza Luce’s has kind of a zing to their sauce this time however It was very bland. I’m really disappointed. I don’t Think I’m gonna come here anymore because the economy has food prices at an all-time high. I’m not going to waste anymore of my earned dollars on mediocre pizza and I’m being very generous by saying mediocre ! This Pizza just sucks. I’m literally rebaking my pizza because I’m so damn hungry. I can’t let it go to waste. Pizza Luce, you’re very wrong for this. Wow! Is all I can say. Wow and thanks for absolutely nothing. I just pray that cooking this pizza to its entirety will help and not make me sick. Because thinking about this is literally making me nauseous 🤮 I can’t believe that I have to bake my own pizza I might as well go to Papa Murphy’s at least there I know it’s gonna taste good and It’s going to be cooked proper. The only thing they do lately that is good is their delivery; your drivers are awesome. Everything else sucks. You lost a good customer. We stopped before a game at the Target Center and loved it! Our server made good recommendations. We had pizzas, wings, and salad, and they were all very well prepared and tasty.

My squad and I wanted a vegan pie after the Fall Out Boy show and they kept messing up the pizza somehow but it wasnt a big deal to me and they kept letting us keep the pies that were messed up. My homie was pissed but this was the best pizza. I can't wait to go back and get one of these puppies again.

Love pizza Luce!! The best vegan pizza I've ever had. So delicious! All of their pizzas are way above the average pizza. The toppings are all fresh. The pizzas are cooked perfectly. And the salads are amazing. I always like to have a salad with my pizza so I'm very glad they have such good choices. We have only had delivery and the delivery staff are so nice and friendly. My family loves Pizza Luce and we get pizza from here whenever we get the chance

I just ordered a small pizza. It was cold. Ordered it well done. Not sure they tried to cook it. Pizza was cold. Delivered it cold.

We were in town for the Timberwolves/Mavs game. Needed some good when we got back to the hotel. We ordered from here because they were close to us and delivered. Did not disappoint. It was quick and good! The sauce is a sweeter sauce which isn't my favorite but the cheese and pepperonis hit the spot. The driver was super cool too. He called before he got to the hotel so I could meet him in the lobby.

We went to Pizza Luce for dinner on a Friday night, not very impressed by the food. We started with the garlic cheese toast which was good but lacking some flavor. We then got two small pizzas, The Luce and The Margherita. The Margherita pizza was the better of the two but still was not my favorite. The Luce had way too much cheese. We don't plan to go here again but if we do, we will definitely order something else.

When in downtown Minneapolis, Pizza Luce was our place for pizza, whether by the slice or the whole pie. Although I never quite found the quintessential New York pizza in Minneapolis, Pizza Luce was close. Good selection of pies to choose from. Good toppings...never felt cheated. I always picked up my orders and they were always ready (just make sure when you order off their website, it's the downtown location not the one by the U).

Just a solid slice of pizza. After a long day of flying I set out on a walk around Minneapolis. At a certain point I discovered I was so hungry I was on the verge of hangry outbursts, luckily Pizza Luce was just a step away. I had two slices of pepperoni and a beer. The bartender was the appropriate amount of attentive and I was in and out in a speedy fashion. I'd suggest this spot for anyone trying to meet with friends or have a nice chill moment with some decent pizza.

One of the very few places still serving food on a late Monday night. The place is separated into two sections - bar/sit-down to the left, takeout/sit-down to the right. Immediately got a seat at the counter and got a food menu from the bartender. Nice variety in both beer and pizza (+ non pizza). For the pizza, decided on the Fire Breathing Dragon" ($17). Marinated chicken topped with sweet chili sauce, pineapple salsa, green onion and mozzarella and smoked gouda. Lots of nice flavors from spicy to sweet, though not much of a kick to the mouth as the name suggests. Washed this down with two beers: "Hop Kingdom Hazy" from Fulton Beer ($6) - a juicy/crisp ale and a "Pompeii" from Toppling Goliath ($6) - tropical/smooth IPA. Solid pizza! We arrived in Minneapolis and I saw a guy with a box from Pizza Luce and my heart was set on it. After the concert we walked 20 mins to see what it was all about. Wow, you know when a place is good when the line just keeps going and going. We finally got our pizza and yes, it was great. I highly recommend this place! I had peperoni, my husband had chicken and veggies and all were delicious.

Very accommodating, good food, service! We had a large group and had a great time We came after a Twins game and will definitely consider coming again.

Get the hulapeno, it's the perfect mix of sweet and savory altogether. I work at a place downtown as a server and they give me a 50% discount which makes me continue going back for the yummy food and great prices.

Pizza had some wild flavor combinations but they hit them out of the park. Baked potato pizza was amazing as well as the Hulapeno pizza!! Incredible service from the bar, drank a total eclipse of the heart beer. It was outstanding and my brother ordered that beer for his second one. We also got the spinach artichoke dip. No lie seriously no lie. It was the best artichoke dip of my life the garlic, the cream, the bread you can't get any better. Place looks pretty cool with all the beers and has a nice bar. Will definitely be back to enjoy some happy hour drinks or late night drinks.

Came here for a slice of pizza. Got 2 slices of a sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers slices. It was bland and the crust was dry, struggled to even finish the first slice, didn't even try finishing the 2nd slice. Go elsewhere for pizzas.

Count your days Pizza Luce I found a piece of wood in my pizza FYI this is not any kind of Italian seasoning I'm highly disgusted. I won't even waste my time calling. I'm just not going to order anymore.

Best consistent food downtown. I love the food. I love the vibe. It's a great please to stop at if you need late night food. The service is great.

After going to the Timberwolves game I wanted something to eat. I saw that this place had good reviews and was open late so decided to come here. Someone said this was the best pizza they have ever had? Absolutely disagree. It was okay for a late night hang out spot. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here if I wanted pizza. It was nice that the place was big and the server was attentive. Good variety of drinks to keep your night going. The pizza came out fast which was nice. I didn't think there was enough sauce. It tasted fine, similar quality to Costco or a frozen pizza. Again, wouldn't go out of my way to come here to eat pizza but would come here late night if I wanted to drink and have a quick bite.

Website is by far the worst experience ive ever had with a delivery sytem. there is no option for your fucking address to be put in foryour CC so it goes to wherever the fuck the card is tied to address wise? cant seem to figure out how to complete deal after 40 mins of trying and two calls to the richfield store you guys have really changed from great service to an outdated shitty website. awesome.

Quick, easy, delicious I love a $5 pizza slice!! I had the spinach feta pizza!!! It's nice there's a few parking meters in the front and the worker was helpful and friendly! Seemed like a quieter time around 11ish!

Late night pizza here was very good. Tried the Bufflao chicken and feta and veggies slices. The crust had just the right amount of chew and the toppings were well cooked. It was getting a bit rowdy in there around midnight, but they had security so it seemed fine.

I feel like I have a pretty high standard for pizza. I went into this dinner with no expectations. I am happy to say this place surprised me with how good their pizza was. The staff was kind and welcoming, the service was fast, and the pizza was fresh. If you are in town for some reason and need a pizza or even a slice, this is a great spot to hit up. I also really liked how much variety in toppings they had and that they let you customize any pizza on the menu.

This was our 1st time at Luce. I am disabled and it was accessible and the staff was great! The watermelon salad was one of the best I have ever had. The citrus vinegarett is delicious! The Focaccia Katerina was amazing. My husband had the fire breathing dragon pizza and it was great. I had the veggie pizza and it was low on flavor. As good as everything else was we will definitely go back. We will try some different pizzas. If you don't want pizza they have lots of other options.

Server was very good, but he was clearly overwhelmed because they were short staffed and very busy. Pizza was ok, garlic was overpowering.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Pizza Luce had always been my drunk order, it's good pizza for what it's worth. I ordered at 9:43 pm, I call the store at 10:44 asking where it's at. I was told that the driver called me 3 times and came back. I had no missed or blocked calls. The manager proceeded to tell me she checked, the driver called and it was my fault, as much as I tried to correct she insisted it was my fault. Eventually it got heated as two people who fundamentally disagree would do and we both cursed at each other. Still wanting my pizza and confirming I was charged for the pizza I ordered I walked to pizza Luce to figure it out. I was greeted by very aggressive bouncers that wouldn't let me into the building. I asked for the bouncers name and he said "Himothy" as cute as that is, it's clearly not accurate. It is wild how aggressively I was treated for someone that orders once a week. I can't imagine treating any customer, let alone a loyal one like this. I will never go back. Seriously, this was beyond inappropriate, I have to find a new pizza place and that sucks.

Pizza spot open late night. Came here around 12:30am after landing in Minneapolis. They don't serve alcohol but they do search your pockets/bags prior to entering, which my friend and I were surprised by, but it went by quickly. You order first and then sit down. They sell pizza by the slice, and the cashier told us that getting three slices is cheaper than getting a whole small pizza, and thus dissuaded us from getting a whole pie (shoutout to him for being honest). We got the buffalo chicken, which was the non-vegetarian special of the day. Indoor seating is available. Credit cards accepted.

Amazing food, great service and a cool vibe. Love this place. We had the Athena pizza and followed it up with some tiramisu. Both were delicious. They also have great vegan options.

I was told by everyone from hotel staff to coworkers that this was the best pizza in MN, and was disappointed because I didn't enjoy my food very much. We ordered quite a lot of food, two different pizzas, salad, and wings and the most enjoyable item was the mushroom/truffle pizza. All in all, I REALLY liked the truffle pizza but didn't enjoy the other menu items.

Visiting from Indy this weekend and have to say I am blown away by my experience. Not only was the food delicious, well priced, and quick to arrive, but the experience was great and thought through from start to finish. To have a seamless ordering platform on their site, no delivery fee (so rare in the age of service fees, delivery, etc.) and the kind worker who called to check if I really meant to order raw dough to a hotel (I did not lol)... AMAZING SERVICE! 10/10! And like I said, the food was delicious. We got the classic pizza, Caesar salad, and chocolate cake. All excellent! If pizza lucé ever comes to Indianapolis, I'd be a regular customer!

I love the downtown pizza luce. It is so yummy and such a fun environment. They have so many gluten free options for being a pizza shop which is great. I love many of their pizzas and have tried many. My favorite item on the menu is the spinach and artichoke dip. They give you the BEST gluten free bread that I love so much. Prices are fair for downtown minneapolis, and parking is what you would expect. Street or there are some ramps nearby.

This is your classic example of mediocre food at high prices. We ordered a number of different pizzas, one was The Bear, which my husband said was pretty good but toppings weren't mixed well on the pizza. I had the veggie pizza and there was zero sauce. When I say zero, I mean 0. We ordered cheese bread, mediocre. We ordered bruschetta, less than mediocre, this was almost inedible. Then for dessert we had the driest chocolate cake in existence. For spending over $100, I expected at least one item to be good. That was simply not the case, very disappointing.

Delicious! Stopped by for dinner with friends and it was so good. I got classic pizza with giardinera peppers and it was the perfect crust to toppings ratio. My friend and I split the peanut butter brownie sundae and it was HUGE. We barely made a dent in it but it was yummy!

Great spot for a quick lunch during the work week. If you're getting to-go pizza, their veggie slice and Greek salad is a favorite of mine. If you're sitting down, they have fab sandwiches and, of course, solid Italian classics like lasagna.

Love that this spot had vegan options as I am a dairy free girl! The pizza was good and service was fast. The cocktails were a little sweet but still good.

So we stopped in here to grab a quick bite to eat before a twins game. For those who don't know, pizza Luce is about a 5 minute walk from Target Field so it's perfect for some pre game nourishment. With CoVID, they are taking reservations and I'd recommend making one because it got pretty full by the time we left for the game. We got the vegetarian elote pizza. I was actually pretty surprised by how good it was. The cilantro aioli was refreshing, the corn provided a nice sweetness, and the feta brought a little sharpness. I just wish there was more spice to the pie but this was quickly fixed by adding some red pepper flakes on top. All in all it was a solid pizza. The crust was a little dense but nothing to complain about. I'm not sure if this is because of CoVID or not but I would have liked if they had individual slices so I could've tried different types of pizza. As a side note all drafts VERY reasonable on game day with a much better beer selection than what you'll find in the ballpark. The price of the drinks along with the pizza make it a quality stop before going to watch the twins.

The two stars is for the pizza itself and maybe deserves four stars. I ordered online to be delivered to the hotel lobby. The delivery person walked through the lobby with a pizza box. Not knowing if it was mine I asked "is it for ..." and gave my last name. I asked again as he was walking out. He responds in a very short manner "I don't know, check the box." I made a comment back "You don't know? You were only carrying one box. Terrible customer service." I walked over and found where he left it and there in BIG letters was my last name. Still, pizza was really good () but the personality of their delivery driver was worst in class.

Pretty damn good specialty pizza. Most recently restocked here for a late night eat because it's one of the only non-fast food restaurants open late. They had counter service available where you could order anything off the menu or order by the slice. The weight staff was friendly for doing with what I'm sure was a night of drunken people. Not as many options are are available as other pay by the slice places I have been, but it's a MSP staple.

Service from phone order was great, delivered ahead of time. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and was just a tad dry for our tastes.

The pizza was already cooling and moist from the trip, but I'm sure it's crispier on site. The salad was amazing and surprisingly fresh. They deliver.

I like this place a lot, but would like it more if they lowered there delivery prices. Still.....they use their own delivery drivers which I appreciate. They have great options and have a lot of my season favorites. Also, their customizable pizza option is lightyears ahead in terms of ingredients that can be selected. But they don't just do pizza well, go check out their brunch menu on the weekends or grab their pasta salad. Finish it off with carrot cake and you will leave one satisfied happy customer.

Love, love, love Pizza Lucé! Every year for my birthday I have a pizza party with my friends, because who doesn't like to relive their childhood? I split The Luce and my other friends ordered The Wrangler. I ordered delivery which was quick and easy with lots of great communication from the driver and restaurant on when it would be ready- easy, breezy, beautiful, Pizza Lucé! Cheese is always so tasty, pizzas are warm on arrival, and unique specialties and great traditional favorites! Pizza Lucé is a Twin Cities staple, which is proven by their numerous locations and reliability. Yes, the price point is high, which may have you defaulting to Domino's, but completely serves the bang for the buck $$$!

Disappointed because this is my favorite spot but they gave us half a pizza with no cheese. When I pay $60 for a pizza I would expect it to come out as desired... we ate it but half of it wasn't desirable. Really disappointing because I travel from California and this is one of the pleasures I have in MN whenever I visit.

The meat loversI ordered extra sauce on my pizza and because of that there was barely any cheese!!! I called and let them know that and they didn't even try to compensate me!!! Very disappointed

Open late. Not bad for late night where most places are closed. I had a 10" combo and ate in car.

My party and I came in close to midnight after a long flight and the workers were ready to help us get in a nice meal. For our first impression of Minneapolis, this did not disappoint! I got the Pizza Athena, which I enjoyed very much. It was made fresh to order and came out soon after I paid. I also got the old-fashioned root beer, which complemented my meal nicely. The server in front was very helpful in giving suggestions, as well. Overall, I would return to this restaurant and perhaps try their other locations.
