This is a place worthy of going out of your way just to eat their food!
What an opening line right? But it’s true.
I have had difficulty finding decent pizza restaurants serving quality ingredients, where you can actually see and taste the sauce, where the cheese is plentiful, and the toppings are delicious and plentiful as well as a crust you want to save for last. Well, Pizza Mia hits the spot. The place is quite busy on weekends when I went, and the line was long but it went by quickly as they really know how to move people around. Their food is displayed beautifully and in a way that prevents customer contamination as it’s well covered yet you can see it - it actually reminded me of the type one can see in Italy with all the large portioned items like sandwiches, arancini, calzone, and so much more.
I’m typically not a veggie pizza perso.n but I tried both of their varieties and was amazed at how fantastic it was, especially the one with the onions and tomatoes with zucchini and much more. Their slices are a very good size and hefty. Their arancini (Italian rice balls stuffed with cheese and deep fried) with a most delicious tomato sauce. Both the regular cheese as well as the ricotta and spinach were excellent and plentiful - a must to eat.
So, two slices of pizza, two arancini, and one Brio side cake to $21.95, add the tax and your up to $25.25. Pre covid this would have been a slight less expensive I think - however in this marketplace I believe this is very good value given that the food is of such a high quality in every aspect.
The atmosphere is actually cool for a market and makes it fun to watch all the people pass by, or go down the stairs near the cash register and there are some larger tables with more privacy.
My hat is off to these restauranteurs for providing product and price to create good value to the point you yearn for more.
