We live over in Erwin, TN 50min away, and were down in Asheville. We were actually at the business across the street trying to figure out where to go eat. The guys recommended Pizza Mind, and we said sold. There is inside and outside patio seating super cute. Reminded me of Sarasota, FL, the area near Siesta Key vibe, but in the mountains, we lived in SWFL for 36 years. They were busy, only like a 15-20 min wait. The host suggested we sit at the bar, but there were not two seats together. Some man then walked over to us and said he was alone and would move down one, so we thanked him and the host and off to the bar it was. I did appreciate that the host didn't have his cell phone on him, but yall need to get a clock up there so they know what time it is. He had to ask me when we were going to add our name to the wait list. All of the girls behind the bar were super sweet. I can't for the life of me remember the drink I ordered but it was amazing. It was made with bourbon and was strong, yummy, and pretty. I ordered the hot Italian and waffle fries. My only complaint with the Italian was the sausage. I loved the added flavor to the sandwich, but it's a mess. It makes it very hard to pick the sandwich up and eat it without everything falling out of the bottom. I tried a knife and fork, but that wasn't working any better. With that being said, I still will order it again because the flavors were definitely there, and it tasted wonderful. The waffle fries were the best I've ever had. My husband had the chicken parm sandwich and side of mac n cheese. My pappy immigrated to America from Italy. Not only did my husband love the sandwich, but it was also hands down the best I've ever tried. Of course, aside from my nonas. I'm getting it the next time we go. Now that Mac n cheese. Not only do I come from an Italian family, I come from an appalachian Italian family. This mac n cheese, I mean, just order it. I promise. You WILL thank me later. This place was so amazing that not only will we be back, but I will make the drive there specifically just to come back to Pizza Mind. I can't wait to try the fried greenbeans!!!!
