Epic Universe Offers Unique Theme Park Food and Drinks | Bon Appétit

"Located in the Celestial Park hub with a vintage-theatre, steampunk-aesthetic oven, this pizzeria serves visually striking, indulgent pies such as a Pizza Lunare topped by a thick purple ube crust that lends muted earthy sweetness, custardy ricotta peaks, crispy pancetta and garlic confit. Unexpectedly rich elements like garlic béchamel make for a satisfying, craveable slice that converted the reviewer into a fan of heavy, restaurant-quality pizza between coaster rides." - ByAnnemarie Dooling

Pizza Moon has totally mastered pizza at theme parks! Their pizza is amazing, and it takes theme park pizza to a whole other level. We ended up getting the cowboy pizza and it was really good. I love the style and the tastes together were very complementary. I also tried the UBE pizza and it was incredible. The crust taste so good. I hope they do more combinations with that crust. Teri was the host and he did an incredible job with greeting everyone and making you feel welcome. We tried both of the desserts, and I have to say that the lemon one was better for my husband and the chocolate one was better for me. So I guess it just depends on your taste, but they both are amazing. I really wish we would’ve sat inside, but it seemed kind of busy when we came. We came back before the night ended, and I saw all the amazing art and atmosphere in this restaurant. On a sidenote, these pizzas are really big. I could not eat one alone so I’m glad that they’re splittable portions because my husband and I split them. You should really consider eating here because it was the best food I’ve had a theme park, and definitely the best theme park pizza.

Better than expected! Prices were as expected. 12 inch pizza was $20. It says it feeds 2 but my teenage boys, myself and husband each had our own pizza. Was filling. I ordered The Nanarossa. It was good, could use a little more flavor and more cheese. My boys got the pepperoni and said it was pretty good. My husband ordered The Lunare and it was fabulous compared to the Nanarossa. Very flavorful. Ordering food via app was seamless. You can order via mobile once you're inside to be seated, then scan your table QR code and it's delivered to table. There was a line when we walked up but got inside within 10 mins. By the time we placed our order, probably took about 15-20 mins for three of our pizza to be delivered. Took 10 mins longer than that for my husband's pizza, The Lunare. Reactivating our souvenir cups here was confusing. I purchased via mobile app since that's how you order food. It asked for my table QR code, not sure why since I already have the cups. Finally went to bar counter and that person was able to reactivate cups. Staff is busy guiding people to available tables throughout the restaurant or they're delivering food. Seems like multiple managers were walking around doing the same as staff and not making sure customers had what they needed. The staff member, Pedro, at the bar was super helpful! Gave 5 star considering it's a theme park restaurant. Again, expected high prices and low quantity and quality. Would definitely eat here again if we come back.

There’s a lineup in the restaurant, but it definitely moves faster than the lineups for rides. While you wait, you can enjoy the interior, which is based on an early 1900s Victorian theatre with moving figures. I got the only two non-vegetarian pizza on the menu: Pizza Lunare $19.99 Roasted garlic béchamel, fromage de lune, ricotta, pancetta, garlic confit, purple celestial cube crust. The Pizza Moon Pepperoni $18.99 Tomato sauce, fromage de lune, pepperoni The Pizza Lunare has a unique purple dough — very unheard of in other pizzerias. It had a nice fragrance to it thanks to the garlic, and I like the pancetta! The ube pizza is softer in texture than the pepperoni (which had more of a crisp to it) due to the ube in the dough. I couldn’t really taste anything “ube” about the pizza though. The pepperoni pizza was popular (and good) too; the pepperoni itself was a bit sweeter than what I’m used to, which is good for me, because they were kind of thick, and I would not have wanted that to be too salty. Overall, it’s a pretty good meal at a good price. Each pizza serves 2 adults, but in my opinion, each pizza could have served 3 adults if they’re all light eaters. But where else can you get 4 people full for less than $50? Pizza taste and quality is also on par with restaurants outside the theme park.

Cute pizza shop inside Epic Universe, and consistent with the theme park, was an immersive experience. This would be considered pretty good pizza even if it was outside of the theme park. Good size to be shared by 2 people where you are full but not miserable. Drinks are freestyle and located back near the order counter if you don't have the app. We ordered while we waited in line to be seated (~25 minutes) and added our table number afterwards. The process was very efficient and there was a continuous line of people in and out. We waited about another 15 minutes for our pizza to come out, had to ask for plates and napkins but was provided them immediately. Overall, decent experience and gave us a chance to get out of the heat and rest our feet.

Google
Beautiful themeing! The restaurant felt amazing as soon as you walked in! The food was beautiful too! Only downside is you could only ammend the toppings on the pizza if you have an allergy requirement and not just to make it to your taste! Other than that it was a great experience! The prices again were reasonable for a theme park restaurant! Would definitely recommend this place!

Pizza Moon is a casual, fast-service restaurant located inside Universal’s new Epic Universe theme park. It turned out to be a perfect spot to beat the heat and recharge with a sit-down meal. From the time we walked in until we were seated was less than 10 minutes, thanks to the efficient staff. A special shout-out to Carla, who not only guided us to our table, but also answered several of our questions. My husband and I used the Universal app to place our order—a Nanarosa pizza and fountain drinks from the freestyle machine. Guests fill their own drinks, while staff members deliver the food and clear the tables afterward, which made the process smooth and convenient. The pizza itself was surprisingly good—far better than the “theme park pizza” stereotype. The sauce had great flavor, the crust was crisp (not floppy!), and the fresh basil added a nice touch. It felt like real pizza, not just a quick bite. Service-wise, the only drawback was the wait time: about 20 minutes between placing our order and the pizza arriving at the table. While not terrible, it did feel a bit long for a fast-casual setting. That said, the staff remained attentive and friendly throughout. Overall, Pizza Moon delivered a satisfying balance of quality, price, and comfort. The food was tasty, the staff was welcoming, and it provided a much-needed break from the Florida heat. I’d definitely recommend it as a solid dining option while exploring Epic Universe.

Seating is first come first serve and you order your food through the Universal App. We ordered the Caesar salad, rigatoni with meatballs, and the lunare pizza which has a purple/ube crust. The pizza was fantastic, I would absolutely order it again. The garlic was well roasted and the cheese was generous. The Caesar salad was surprisingly good with a nice amount of dressing, but not soaking in it. It had both regular croutons and parmesan ones which was a nice twist. The meatballs and rigatoni were, unfortunately, very hard to eat because they had clearly been sitting under a heating lamp: the pasta was crunchy and the meatballs were still ok but the cheese on top was unappetizing. The service is incredibly fast, likely because they are pre-making some items. Still, I would come back here again, especially for the pizza and the view!

A Complete Disappointment – Disney and Universal Should Be Embarrassed Our visit to this restaurant inside the new Epic Universe Park in Orlando was nothing short of shocking — and not in a good way. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was gloomy, unwelcoming, and completely devoid of the magic or energy you’d expect from anything tied to Disney or Universal Studios. We were ignored by the host — we believe her name was Noellyn — who was far more interested in chatting with her coworker than acknowledging us. When she finally did, it was with clear attitude, and instead of properly seating us or even calling someone else to assist, she lazily pointed us to a table. No hospitality, no smile, no care. It only went downhill from there. Our waitress dropped our plates on the table without a word and walked away, as if we were a bother, not guests. Every staff member we encountered, including the manager, looked miserable to be there — which made us feel even worse for choosing to dine here. There was no energy, no warmth, and certainly no sign that any of these employees had ever been trained under the standards of Disney or Universal. And the food? The pizza was as lifeless as the service — bland, underwhelming, and not worth a fraction of the price. This experience was incredibly disappointing and completely out of line with what we expect from a park backed by two of the most iconic names in entertainment. If this is the standard Epic Universe is setting, then it’s off to a very poor start.

Yelp
Yum!! The ube pizza did not disappoint. So tasty and flavorful. When we walked in for lunch we were worried about the line, but thankfully it did move fast. Even if you order online you have to wait in line for them to seat you at a table. We were able to queue up our order and have it ready to go to scan at a seat once seated. Someone tried to take our seat when we got up to get our fountain drinks since they ordered online. Luckily a waitress ran over to help. Also love that they have the Coke Freestyle machines. Once we scanned in the pizza didn't take too long to arrive. Highly recommend giving this spot a go. I only wish we waited for dinner since this spot is open until park close and the spot we wanted to go to closed earlier.

Yelp
We ordered a cheese pizza, Caesar salad, and the dessert pizza (can't remember what they called it). The dessert is why we even went there in the first place and it was definitely the highlight told our meal. A delicious chocolate brownie covered with Nutella, Oreo pieces, and topped with roasted marshmallows. Amazing!!!!! The pizza was just okay in my opinion. Pizza bottom was toasted way too much for my liking. Not a fan of crunchy pizza. The Caesar salad was great! Actually went back there a second night just to get the Caesar again. Wasn't anything impressive about the service. They served half of our order and then brought the rest about 5 minutes later. Would've been nice if everyone in our party got their food at the same time. The decorations on the ceiling were cute but the restaurant was pretty basic otherwise.

Yelp
Inside universal studios epic world this is a convenient quick bite place. Ordering through the app is easy and convenient. The staff is nice, the decor is super cool and the food is great We got the moon pie and it tasted pretty good I will definitely come back

Yelp
I was highly suspicious when I came here. My kids are pizza snobs so I knew if anyone would be a good judge of this place... it would be them. Well, it's now their #1 pizza spot. Bummer since it's in a theme park. lol But, glad to see a step up in theme park food! The ube pizza is worth the hype... you should definitely try it but be prepared for some garlic breath :)

Yelp
We arrived around lunch time and only had to wait in like about 10 minutes. You queue for a table and order at your table through QR code. We waited awhile for our food but it was so worth it! The "Giant Mushroom" pizza was amazing!! So flavorful and the crust was perfect. One pizza was more than enough for the two of us. The staff was friendly and the tables were cleaned off quickly so that new guests come sit down and order after a party left. Lots of seating, the staff help you find an open one so you're not wandering around. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Decided to have an early lunch at Pizza Moon because I was intrigued by their ube crust pizza, the Pizza Lunare. Because it was an early lunch, I didn't have to wait in line at the time. The restaurant is spacious and had plenty of seating available. Loved the decor too; really went in on the celestial theme. Like most Universal restaurants, you scan the QR code and order on the app. It did take longer than expected for the pie to come out, but at least it came out hot and fresh. Their pies aren't huge and it's easily shareable. Overall, it was delicious! It was cheesy and flavorful, and the crust was so soft and fluffy. I do wish that there were more toppings and the crust had a stronger ube flavor though. All of their other pizzas looked great, so I would say Pizza Moon is worth a try!

Yelp
Everyone is talking about pizza moon when it comes to Epic Universe so we had to try it out! We got two pizza the lunare and pepperoni. honestly I did not like the Lunare pizza but loved the pepperoni! Also ordered the lemon olive oil cake and that was amazing! Definitely give it a try

Yelp
Came here bc reviewers online hyped the Ube pizza. I can agree- it was very good and not overly sweet like you'd imagine an ube pasty is. We wanted to grab a pizza to go before waiting in another ride line; they don't immediately do to go, but you can order to table and request a box. (Though I would say having a to go direct option would help with efficiency) Good pizza!
google avatar

Carlo Y.

Yelp
Fun environment for great theme park pizza. We tried the Pizza Lunare with Ube crusts, it was fun, great, and different. Each pizza has six slices, it is bigger than personal sizes.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
We ate the purple ube pizza which was unique and yummy. You could order at the register or via QR code which was convenient and the employees came by regularly to help clear up anything on the tables. The atmosphere was lively with pretty decorations.
google avatar

Yelp
Brandon was very helpful, he arrived to our table while we were waiting for the food to bring us in plates and napkins. This restaurant is so beautiful. I recommend eating here. The other staff are great. We ordered a pepperoni pizza on which it said it serves two for $21 usd. I think it is a decent price. The table has a QRCode in which allows you to order. Overall great experience.

Yelp
Our Epic Universe day was awesome, and Pizza Moon in Celestial Park made it even better at lunchtime. This spot had been on our bucket list since we'd heard so many great things--and it did not disappoint. It's conveniently located in the central hub of the park, near the Constellation Carousel. The inside is very spacious, which was definitely needed since it was pretty busy. We decided to share a pepperoni pizza, and the portion size was perfect for two people. I really liked the decorations and theming inside, and the team member who served us even pointed out some cool details. I don't know when I'll get the chance to visit Epic Universe again, but I definitely want to come back here!
google avatar

Liz S.

Yelp
Not an overhyped spot, which I appreciated. 2 pies fed 4 people, and while they are smaller, you don't want to fill up anyway to try more spots around the park. The pizza came fast and was delicious. The interior is awesome as well. It has a unique them you won't find elsewhere.
google avatar

Tharin W.

Yelp
The best theme park pizza destination I have ever visited. A Jules Verne inspired location with purple Ube pizza, fun music and ample seating. 10/10, no notes, I love it.
google avatar

Aviva B.

Yelp
As far as theme park pizza goes, this is the best I've ever tried. The menu has a lot of unique options, including ube pizza crust. The theming of the restaurant was very cool, with vintage-inspired cutouts decorating the space. It felt like we were in the film A Trip to the Moon. The Team Members were also very nice. The pizza took a while to come out, but the restaurant was very busy and, since the park is not officially open, I'm sure they are still figuring out the operation. I ordered The Nanarossa, which had tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, stracciatella, heirloom tomatoes, and fresh basil. The pizza was a great size, and was perfect for sharing between two people. It tasted very good, the crust was just a little doughy for my liking. I would love to try more from the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Easily the best pizza at any theme park. Finally, pizza that isn't from Wal-Mart and put in a microwave! This stuff is legit hand made, and fresh. You can order your food on the app. Then, when you sit down at a table, scan the QR code and your food will be brought to your table. I sat outside since they keep inside at about 60 degrees F. It is freezing. But it'll be great on a hot day. Up first, I tried the $18.99 Pizza Lunare: roasted garlic béchamel, fromage de lune, ricotta, pancetta, garlic confit, purple celestial ube crust This is the purple pizza. Unfortunately, it looks better than it tastes. I would not order this again. I'd rate it 2/10. Way too much ricotta. However, the star of the show was the pizza: A Trip to Vesuvio: fromage de lune, pepperoni, fennel sausage, roasted peppers, caramelized onions, cherry peppers, Calabrian chili, arugula, hot honey Now this pizza was exceptional! I liked all of it, especially the hot honey. This was a 10/10. Pizza here is served scorching hot. So be careful not to burn your tongue like I did.

Yelp
Cute spot to get away from the sun and have lunch. They only have 1 vegan option which is the harvest moon which was surprisingly good. My non vegan friends liked my pizza more than theirs. They seat you and you can order your food through the app and they will bring your food within you minutes.
google avatar

Jamye W.

Yelp
Got the Pizza Lunare. Extremely salty, no flavor and imbalanced pizza to crust ratio (way too much crust). Probably the least favorite thing we got here.
google avatar

Gabbi H.

Yelp
I had heard really good reviews of this place before visiting Epic, so I was excited to try it! Overall, it lived up to my expectations. The pizza was cooked perfectly and a nice size. The "famous" pizza lunare with the ube crust really was SO good. I could eat it once a week. The pepperoni and mushroom/garlic ones were good too. The theming and aesthetic is seriously so cute!! So fun. The restaurant is large too so shouldn't ever be difficult to find seating. Universal is pushing hard on the order-on-the-app then served-at-table scheme which I truly hate but it wasn't specific to this restaurant. We wanted to take it to go and despite having FIVE people standing at the counter with registers where in theory you should be able to order, they still made me sit at a table and order, have the order delivered to me, and then ask the person to immediately return with boxes so I could transfer to a box myself. It was very silly and annoying. But food itself if great.
google avatar

Melanie O.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and get the ube pizza! It feels like you're sitting in a pizza dream. It's cold that you can see the staff making the pizza. There is a long line but sitting inside is worth it especially with Florida weather but also to admire the decor. A must eat at epic!
google avatar

Alan M.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this is NOT your regular pizza spot in a theme park. All of their pizzas are made to order so you may wait a little longer for your pizza, but it's so worth it! I got the pizza lunare, mainly because of the ube crust. Let me repeat that. Ube crust! I've never seen that anywhere so I had to try it out. The pizza took about 10-15 mins to come to our table, which gave us a nice break from the heat outside. The interior was amazing. Universal always does such a good job with their theming. Did the pizza match the interior though? I'd answer with a resounding yes! The pizza was cooked to perfection and the undercarriage was crispy. Universal have really leveled up the game in terms of theme park dining experience. I'll be definitely coming back to try out the other pizzas. Thank you Universal and the staff at Pizza Moon for such an amazing experience!
google avatar

Leon W.

Yelp
Service is alright (they deliver the pizza to you at your table when you order on the app). The food is honestly overrated. I thought it would be amazing but it's just like a regular pizza. I'd prefer dominoes. The pizza is really salty. Ambiance is cool. The design of the restaurant is amazing. Pizza is around 16-20 dollars.
google avatar

Carl S.

Yelp
This place looks like they did some really good pizzas and all kind of snacks. We actually got the brownie, which was absolutely incredible. The staff are very nice and we were greeted warmly when we walked in. I love how universal now uses the barcode on the table to do your ordering and it's delivered right to you. We stopped in for a snack and was well worth it. I love that decor and feeding of this restaurant. Very active very engaging.

Yelp
If you're looking for the best pizza in any theme park on Earth (or the moon), look no further than Pizza Moon at Epic! I ordered The Pizza Moon Pepperoni and the Pizza Lunare, and both were absolutely stellar. First off, the pizzas are made fresh to order, which you can taste in every bite. The ingredients are high quality, the crust is perfectly cooked, and the flavors are bold and satisfying. The Pizza Moon Pepperoni is a classic done right--crispy edges, gooey cheese, and just the right amount of spice from the pepperoni. But the real star of the show? The Pizza Lunare. That ube crust is something truly special--lightly sweet, beautifully colored, and unlike anything I've ever had on a pizza. It's creative, delicious, and a must-try for any foodie or theme park fan. On top of the amazing food, the interior design of Pizza Moon is out of this world. Sleek, immersive, and futuristic--it feels like you've stepped into a cosmic pizzeria orbiting some far-off galaxy. Overall, this place blew me away. Pizza Moon isn't just serving great theme park pizza--it's serving the best theme park pizza in the world. Period.

David J.

Yelp
For theme park pizza it's pretty good, but if you're a pizza connoisseur you will think it's a decent, not great pie. It's just important to remember that this is in a theme park so the options are above average, the pies are creative, and the atmosphere is great. I think for families this is a good spot. I went before the lunch rush and was seated immediately. Service was very slow. I had my mobile order ready before I arrived at the restaurant and only needed to enter my table number to start the order. It took over 15 minutes for my Coke freestyle cup to arrive and about the 40 minutes for the Pizza. Since time is important at EU with the long ride wait times, I don't recommend coming here unless you want a long mid-day break. If you're looking for something quick in the park, I'd go elsewhere. So overall, decent pizza with theme park inflated pricing, nice atmosphere; horribly slow service.
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
This is an excellent spot to take a break from the heat and eat some great pizza. The line and table assignment was very organized. Pizza was cooked to perfection.
google avatar

Loc H.

Yelp
As I said in other reviews when trying restaurants foods in the park, I don't expect much of good quality other than the decoration and experienced. This place however provided good pizzas. The price actually was good comparing to other foods in the park. I'd recommend this place.

Jess F.

Yelp
Pizza Moon is run the way all "quick service" theme park eateries should be run. Staff sits you, serves you, etc. Highly recommend any of the pizzas! 2 people could easily share 1. Our favorite was the mushroom pizza! Delicious!

Serena K.

Yelp
The mushroom pizza is incredible. Full on umami blast. It's worth coming here for the decor alone. Only complaint is the mobile ordering. My universal app wasn't loading properly and the entire process was annoying. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to order at the counter. Still - 100/100. Some of the best food at universal.
google avatar

Isaac B.

Yelp
Amazing pizza, top 3 I have ever had. Service is meh of coarse, really cool interior that moves a lot. Good ambience

Tom J.

Yelp
Ok. Edible. Not out of this world. Ridiculous wait times. Staff mostly clueless. Go to a real pizza place if you can

Teagan V.

Yelp
First of all they do not give a physical menu meaning you need to scan the bar code with your phone. There are so many things wrong with this i don't have to time or care to name them all. The pictures are very deceiving. A simple cheese pizza is not even possible it comes with what looks like rotten tomato slices on the top. The website is difficult to navigate and is missing items that are available. Ridiculous. And you cannot even customize your order to remove items that you don't want on your food. Everything is online and there was nearly zero human interaction aside from when the food was brought out. The only good thing i have to say about this place is that the food was quick to be brought out. I am extremely dissatisfied and won't be returning.

Jackson D.

Yelp
I wish there was a lower rating I could give than one star. This is by a MILE the WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD I came here during my one day at epic universe to eat and it was absolute hell. I was sitting in the dining room after I had ordered my food and paid for 30 minutes without being served watching people come in after me get their food and finally I went up to ask about it and they just gave me 2 pizzas that were sitting in the window that were probably for someone else's order but I didn't care since I had my food and it was what I ordered but because it took so long for me to get it I was now running late and had to leave so I ask for a box and they tell me that they don't have any. Are we DEADASS WHAT KIND OF PIZZA PLACE DOESNT HAVE FUCKING BOXES!? I was treated with such a rude manner When I even asked for a box and then didn't receive one, they told me to go ask the seafood restaurant for one and so I did and when I got there they told me that they would only give me a box if I bought food from there so I left and went back to Shit moon or whatever that hell hole is called and I went up to the service desk and saw an empty open- ended orange juice box on the counter so I asked if I could have it to carry my food in and instead of giving it to me they just said no because apparently the trash needed it more than I did. I ended up waiting 30 minutes for 2 small pizzas that cost me $40 and having to carry them out stacked in slices on a bunch of napkins and then I get to the car and eat this pizza that I have gone through absolute hell to acquire and THAT SHIT WAS MID AS FUCK I'm talking school cafeteria ahh pizza that was the most disappointing waste of money pizza I've ever had, comparable only to the even WORSE customer service I had to endure. Go to the isle of berk and get yourself a mac and cheese cone and spare these ass wipes at pizza goon from having to ruin anyone else's day 0 stars

Casey M.

Yelp
The food was amazing, 10/10! But the service? Pretty bad. When a salad was delivered to share, they said there was no way to get extra plates or forks to eat it with, but then were able to find some? Then a pizza came out 30 minutes after we ordered, still not drinks. We asked and they said that's not my area and to go get them from the counter after we placed our order at the table. My father was able to get some, but it had been 40 minutes by the time we got anything to drink. Then after an hour, we still didn't have a second pizza. When we asked that said this is a tapas place and they serve it as it comes out. They also said that pepperoni gets backed up which is what we ordered. The manager said that's we were second but thankfully got our pizza out fast. If you're looking for good food, this is the spot. But if you're looking for good service? Check out Das Steakhaus it has way better service.
