"Built by Massimo Bucolo, who the New York Times calls "a medical device salesman turned pizza entrepreneur," this vending-machine pizzeria prepares pizza from scratch in about three minutes: it mixes flour and water, presses the dough into a disc, then tops it with sauce, cheese and a limited selection of toppings. Positioned as a late-night alternative for people seeking a hot bite when traditional pizzerias are closed, its creator stresses it is not intended to replace pizzerias but to offer a step up from frozen supermarket pies. The device has attracted wide media attention and local backlash—some pizzeria owners and residents condemn it as uncultured or threatening—while sparking broader debates about automation and the potential displacement of low-wage work. Supporters counter that, although it’s not traditional or artisanal pizza, it can still produce good flavor and provides a convenient option that fills a specific niche." - Jaya Saxena
Interesting idea. It's not a perfect pizza, that's obvious. However, the product is quite a good quality and tasty. Perfect for a quick snack. Also, a very nice surprise is presence of some plastic cutlery and tissues! Really nice.

It’s vending machine pizza that tastes like vending machine pizza. My kids really wanted to come here once they heard about it. Take the metro from termini towards Junio and get off at policlinico. Tastes like frozen pizza (which it probably is). Comparable to Elio’s.

What a fun idea! Obviously, this is not meant to be a gourmet experience, but rather a convenient one. It definitely did the trick.
