Here’s Why a Lot of Delivery Food Isn’t Coming From Actual Restaurants | Eater LA

"I noted that vegan newcomer The Pizza Plant scored a kitchen space at Kitchen United and will use Ordermark to manage delivery orders." - Mona Holmes

How it is L.

Google
I've been coming to The Pizza Plant in Williamsville for over two decades, and they definitely deserve some love and acknowledgment! Consistency is the key here. Their menu has barely changed over the years, and that's a good thing. You always know what you're getting: quality, comfort, and great food. I especially love the "create your own pods and pizzas"-so many topping options to choose from-and "the grow your own salads"-let you customize your meal exactly how you like it. It's a fun and flexible dining experience every time. The booth seating is a major plus, spacious and comfortable, so you never feel like you're right on top of the next table. It's a great place to bring kids, too. They hand out little dough balls and coloring supplies to keep them entertained while you enjoy your meal. One quirky thing I love and sometimes hate is the wildly diverse music playlist. You might hear Bob Marley, then the Beatles, then some strange, completely obscure song that makes no sense-but somehow, it just adds to the charm and makes me laugh. The servers are always friendly and attentive, and it’s nice to see familiar faces—many of them have been there for years. There's also a nice big bar off to the side if you just want to grab a drink or eat in a quieter spot. Reasonable prices, reliable service, great for families, and always a relaxed vibe! After all these years, it’s still one of my go-to spots. Thanks, Pizza Plant!

I was very impressed by the menu, and had a hard time deciding. Lots to choose from! I thought it was nice that gluten free and non-fried options were presented. Unfortunately, I wasn't at all happy with my choice. I ordered pasta, which had little flavor, and most of the noodles were dry. The onions were nearly raw, and the chicken I paid extra for was a little burnt. Things were apparently very busy, so maybe on another day it would be better. Might go another time and see if the pizza is better, but wouldn't get pasta again.

Google
Wonderful experience for my family and I. Our server was very helpful and attentive, the environment was very homey and comfortable. And of course our meal was amazing! GREAT prices for appetizers entrees and dessert.

Google
Ordered chicken Parm off the website. The portion was good and the staff was very friendly. It was a little odd trying to find the takeout counter. When I got home, my wife and I noticed that the chicken isn't breaded for chicken Parm here. It's a grilled chicken breast. Which also left the rest of the dish soggy and ultimately disappointing. It would have been fine if it were mentioned on their menu that it isn't a breaded chicken cutlet.

4-13-25 add on… Can you please open up a Rochester establishment. Jesus, food is so good, and just did the sour power event!! Love the rare beers. And the Cinnabon bread pudding was so freaking good!! This is a place for Beer Gods!!! We come to Buffalo from Rochester just for their stout events. Just did the Imperial March of the Stouts, and man the stouts on tap you can’t get anywhere at else. Stars Wars and stouts?! Um yeah!! 6 different Bourbon Counties since 2019, and many others. Got an imperial stout from Sweden that was off the hook there. If you’re a Beer God make sure to be ready to drop some money cause they also have a huge list of bottles and canned beers you won’t find anywhere else. Oh, and their pizzas and desserts are insanely good. Also, do yourself a favor and get a beer club card! Oh, and their Pod City Italian ice sour and porter are insanely good!

I had my first pod back in the early 80's. I haven't had one in 40 years! It was everything I remember. They had other food I would like to come back and try.

Google
Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and all three of us (picky people) liked our food. The milkshake was excellent. Our waitress Desiree was super attentive, upbeat, friendly, and just did an amazing job. Note: The Caesar salad is listed as vegetarian but the dressing contains anchovies

Google
We heard that they had good pizza/Italian food. We were there early at 5:30pm because of an earlier appointment. Just a few patrons were there. Nonetheless, it took too much time to be seated. I spoke to the bartender about seating ourselves at a high top table in the bar. He told me to go back to the vacant hostess stand and wait. She finally showed up and seated us, but without menus. After another wait, a newly assigned waitress came over after we attracted her attention. We ordered drinks and perused the overly complicated menu. That is never a good sign. The atmosphere was dingy and cluttered. Beer boxes were stacked against a wall. We decided to finish our drinks and leave after telling the waitress we received a call & had to be somewhere else. There was something disconcerting about this place. My husband regretted ordering an apple cider martini served with a dried piece of apple as garnish. He said it was awful.

Yelp
Great! Love the Pods! Still come here from out of town to get them! (If you come here PLEASE get the pod. It's the best thing!! Especially with the meatballs inside!) Definitely more pricy than a couple of years ago, but hey isn't everything like that these days.

Yelp
I work late shifts and we are always looking for places to grab some late dinner. We showed up after 8 on a Saturday night and were able to grab a spot at the bar. I cannot say enough about how nice the bartender was. We had a few hiccups during our visit and he was so very polite and accommodating about it. I liked the quiet bar atmosphere. Some places can be too loud or rowdy on a Saturday night. We split a small pizza which is quite small like a dinner plate. We also split the baked chicken fingers. This was as the bartender mentioned the perfect amount of food for the both of us. The boyfriend maybe could have used a little more, but nothing a soup or side salad couldn't help with. I will be back for this after 8 special and for the exceptional service.

Yelp
Food is always consistent and made fresh. Their pods are flavorful and filled with a lot good food items. Their drink selection at the bar is quite extensive. The service is usually timely and attentive but not this evening. Our waitress was respectful and courteous but she was not timely nor did she bring out our food in a good time. We sat for nearly 40 minutes waiting for food and the restaurant was not too busy. I had to ask where our food was and it was excuse after excuse. I truly hope the next time I come back the service is better. The ambiance is lit with a darker setting. It's great on the eyes and keeps you relaxed.

Yelp
Just an OK experience. Food came out fast. It was edible and very inexpensive. Ambience was cool and kitschy. Waitstaff was largely absent.

Yelp
I love that there is a drive through window here. Just pull up to the speaker, you don't have to say anything, just wait for them to tell you to pull forward. You can order online for pick up, too. They have dine in, including a nice little outdoor patio when the weather is good. I ordered the chicken pesto wrap today. It wasn't bad but I don't know that I would order it again. To be fair, I am incredibly picky about meat. This tasted to me like it was precooked and reheated (I'm not saying it was, that's how it tasted to me). Many restaurants do this to conserve time (I've had some friends in the industry) so I don't judge for it, my tastebuds are just fussy about that. But everything else was good ... the pesto, the grilled reds, the cheese was very flavorful! It comes with a pickle and you can pick some sides that come with the price (like fries or chips) or some some with an up charge (like broccoli florets). I had the fries and they were good. I would definitely eat here again but I would try something else like maybe a pod or pasta without chicken. When I do, I'll update my review! Staff is always friendly by the way!

Yelp
Bought my son here for his birthday which was cool he enjoyed it and that most important but daddy on the other hand.Pretty much no matter hat u get all ingredients are stuffed inside a pizza or calzone, they don't fry wings only bake it was cool but really not for me but someone likes it they have actually been a round a while!
google avatar

Jenna R.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoy coming here and getting the pizza pods! They are huge pods of dough with the pizza toppings stuffed on the inside. I always get the chicken pesto pod because it's so good! My husband loves the wingy dingy pod. The portions of the pods are huge. The service is always great and we never have to wait long to be seated or to get our food.
google avatar

Yelp
Pickup was wonderful. Ordered a large stuffed pizza with mushrooms, onions and green peppers. All three of us loved it and loved it the next day, also!!

Ann M.

Yelp
The food was good. We ordered a pod/salad lunch combo special and a bread bowl salad. The service was excellent! We sat outside and it's a bit noisy from the traffic on Transit Road, but we enjoyed taking advantage of the nice weather. There are several outdoor tables. Inside there's a good sized bar and dining area near the bar. There are also a couple other indoor dining areas. Sometimes they feature live music.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful patio. Beautiful night. Ordered 2 pods. Both with sausage. We both commented...Where's the sausage? We tasted more of the peppers & cheese than the meat. Sad. Not what I expected. We get the salad bowls to-go and love them. I'd never order the Pods again.

Kassidy G.

Yelp
good service, very nice waiter, but chaotic menu. lobster nachos were a little dry and kinda fishy but over all good!

Yelp
Had a great experience and dinner when I was here in August. I enjoyed a beer tasting (there were many to choose from), and a wingy dingy pod which was pretty good and filling too. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and we ate outside which was nice but it is sorta loud being right on Transit Rd. Service was great - our waitress checked on us frequently, and our food and drinks came out quickly. A big menu with lots of options for everyone, including vegan options! I would highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
If you ever find yourself in Buffalo, you have to try a POD! The marinara sauce is rich and flavorful, and the meatballs are absolutely to die for. You really can't go wrong with a custom-made POD--they're hearty, satisfying, and the ultimate comfort food. I highly recommend the meatball and pepperoni combo on wheat or garlic bread. Trust me, it hits the spot!!

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon in September. It wasn't crowded and we were seated upon entering. Our server, Aleysha, brought over menus and the beer list. They have an awesome assortment of beer choices, so we ordered a Bumble Berry pint and a Flying Bison Bitter Cask Ale. Both were fresh and delicious. Aleysha gave us time to look over the multi-page menu, and we finally decided on the meat antipasto in a bread bowl and a medium flat pizza. Both were tasty, well prepared, and arrived quickly.
google avatar

Yelp
Nothing fancy, but it's delicious and fun inside. You have to try a pizza pod!! Nice and friendly service even when it's a busy weekend!
google avatar

MaryAnn T.

Yelp
Stopped in here today for lunch with my sister and was able to sit outside on the patio. It was a perfect summer day. The menu has great selections for all, including gluten free ( I am not ). Ordered the parmachokes- omg delicious! Let me tell you the lobster nachos were pretty darn tasty as well. Our waitress was friendly and never kept us waiting. It was low key and relaxing. One of my favorite places.
google avatar

Yelp
Not many places are truly kid friendly in the area. We love Pizza Plant for adult beers and family night dinners with young kids. The pizza dough and the crayons always keep them happy and busy. Plenty of healthy, non fried options make it a crowd pleaser.

Yelp
Food was great as usual even though this my my first time back in 13 years! Stuffed pizza was even more filling than remembered thankfully i only ordered a baby size. My other half got the white pod with the addition of ricotta and ham, it was very good and better than any calzone I'd have elsewhere. I got the chicken parm stuffed pizza with the addition of Italian sausage. My dad got the Syracuse spectacular with the addition of pepperoni. The atmosphere is very bar meets Italian restaurant and it is cozy. The waitress was a bit aloof and did not check back between the long wait of our stuffed pizzas for refills on our drinks but did accommodate once we received our food.

Cory G.

Yelp
Disappointment is all I feel. We ordered a deep dish pizza which took almost 2 hours to make before we could pick it up. We paid extra for cheese... yep cheese! Not extra cheese, just cheese. We picked it up and other than the crust being twice as high surrounding the pizza, the thickness was no thicker than any other pizza. Sooooo disappointing!! Stop advertising this as deep dish, the only thing deep was the price and my disappointment
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Great food- they provide a healthier take on traditional American dishes and a good bar selection. Always good service. Always busy. Some dishes are a little pricey for what they are, but I've never been disappointed in my meal. Turkey sandwich is one of my favs. Their creamy balsamic dressing is THE BEST & you can buy it by the bottle!
google avatar

Angel K.

Yelp
We went at lunch time and sat at the bar. It took a few minutes for someone to realize we were there but once they did the service was good. I had a garlic pod with extra cheese and bacon and it was fantastic. They also have a large drink menu with something for everyone.

Yelp
I'm not in Buffalo that often but when I am, this place is 100 percent on my "must visit" list. It's a local treasure. The food is consistently fresh, and the menu is gigantic. They have wonderful lunch specials, too. There is a solid beer selection, the service is prompt and friendly. Can you tell I'm gushing about a favorite spot yet? No joke, when I was hosting student representative interviews, I would always pick this spot because it was welcoming and not too overwhelming, but low-key selfishly I just wanted to eat here so I'd always make the interviews at lunchtime (just so I could come back for one of their delicious pods). They've got different doughs to choose from. Most of the time I pick whole wheat, but the spinach is also amazing depending on what you're putting inside the pod. They have a huge list of options for toppings, and everything is fresh- not gross canned nonsense. They even have vegetarian meats if you're into that kind of thing! My daughter got hooked on raisins on her pizza because they even had that listed as a possibility, just to show you how expansive this list is. Don't judge- she's little. As long as she eats it, I do NOT care. The pods are essentially calzones, folded pizzas? Just the perfect amount of sauce and cheese inside with your toppings. I always ask for an extra side of dipping sauce, which they happily provide for free. Speaking of kids, they often have little bags of salt dough for kids to make play dough pizza creations. This is amazing for when you want to just relax while they get creative. My kiddos even call this place the "play doh" pizza place. It's a casual, fun, date-friendly, budget-friendly, family-friendly, Tuesday night hangout, meet-you-there kind of place that simply can't be missed. Why aren't you leaving to go there yet?

Yelp
I ordered the Cajun pod. I was very disappointed in its lack of seasoning. Additionally, the crust was not cooked enough and the filling contained frozen vegetables. Very disappointing. I will not be making a return visit !
google avatar

Courtney M.

Yelp
There is a pretty large menu here! They also have a bunch or specials that change every month or two. The service was very good! I would recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Our first visit to Pizza Plant, although I have heard many good things for years We brought our dog so we sat on the patio He was very welcome and received lots of attention! The service was excellent The salads were fresh and delicious, i had gazpacho, which i rarely have, it was wonderful I am happy to see vegan options on the menu The restaurant itself is really inviting, cozy and warm Prices are reasonable I will definitely return!
google avatar

Steven C.

Yelp
The menu goes on forever. The service is good. Some of the offerings are absolutely excellent. Nothing is bad on their menu. Do try the pods. My favorite by far is the stinger pod with sesame dough. They make standard drinks quite competently. Some of their featured drinks are excellent and some are just sweet concoctions to please younger palates. Nice assortment of beer. when they have live music, make reservations early and don't sit too close to the bands because it gets quite loud. There is outdoor seating as well. this place is never a disappointment.

Yelp
Dedicated to use my 716 gift card, after the WNY Gaa & Stem Engine light show. The ordering process was simple; and for having indoor dining closed due to COVID19 it was impressive that the full menu selection was available. Ordered the eggplant rollets with a side of penne. The drive through process was rather convenient; drove to window, gave my name for order, presented via cell phone, my 716 card information and the tip separate. Tip: Don't forget to tip at restaurants even if you are using a 716 gift card.

Yelp
**COVID-19 REVIEW** We have been to the Pizza Plant before in the past, and it had been awhile since we had their infamous "Pod," so we decided to try them out during this time. We heard that they had drive-thru pickup at their "Pod Port." We gave them a call, placed our order (on a Tuesday), and were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. Great! By the time we got there during the dinner traffic, we were right on time. We pulled up to the display and were asked to give our name for the order and then told to drive to the window. I had already paid over the phone so all the staff had to do was give me the box through the window and I was set! I was surprised when I pulled to leave, (my window was still down), that when the road took me past the outdoor patio, it was packed! Also, the proximity to the road and tables was definitely less than six feet and the diners were practically on top of me! Just a heads up that the patio was too crowded for my comfort, and to roll your window up on a nice day if you don't feel like dining with strangers. When we returned home, the Pods looked great, but feel like they have could have been cooked a little longer. The meatball pod could have been warmer and gooier. My customized chicken, broccoli, sesame pod could have had the chicken most crisped; was a little nervous to eat a few pieces. Overall, a good experience, but we won't be rushing back there right away.

Yelp
Went here for a late lunch and some good entertainment. The entertainment didn't disappoint. The service was great. The soup and salad were good but the signature Pods were a disappointment. Unfortunatly the dough was tough and too chewy. So tough that it was hard to cut with a knife. The dough flavor was fine but the texture was like chewing taffy. If this is the same dough they use for their pizzas, that's not good. I guess their primary focus is really on their bar business not their pizza business. I will return sometime in the future to try the Pod again to see if it was just an issue that batch of dough or it's the norm everyone should expect. After my next visit, I will update this review with my findings.

Yelp
Had a Saturday night dinner with hubby and another couple. No reservations, so a short wait for a table. Outstanding beer list as expected--server brought me a sample of a sour to try before I ordered a goblet of it. We had 3 pods at our table and my stuffed pizza with eggplant on top. Just an excellent pizza, plus had a piece left over for lunch the next day. Great crust and even better homemade sauce. The 3 pods were also very good and server brought extra sauce as requested. Very satisfying comfort food!

Yelp
I chose the Transit location of Pizza Plant on a recent Friday night because the Main Street (Canalside) location closes at 8pm. Say what? So I headed out to Transit Road, determined to eat a pod and have a pint of beer. When I got there, there was a waiting list - only 20 minutes and they text you with updates, so reasonable. We order two cold beers and they were great. There are more than 25 beers on tap here. It's amazing. We ordered a Veggie Try It pod and a Greek salad with a spinach breadbowl and creamy garlic dressing. Magnificent! I love this place and that the menu has hardly changed in 20 years. An iconic Buffalo joint. Don't miss it.
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
The deep dish here is the best example of Chicago style deep dish I've had outside of Chicagoland and it's not particularly close. 5 stars for that. I will complain and dock a star for using Johnny Ryan Cola; diet Johnny Ryan is actively offensive to tongues; please just get Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi like a normal place. To me that makes it a takeout only place, unfortunately.
google avatar

Eileen H.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on a Friday for with a friend. I had the Pod lunch special- soup/salad and a Pod with 2 extras. I choose soup and sausage & mushrooms for the extras. The soup was good and I only ate half of the Pod because it was so big. I took the other half home and my husband had it for lunch. The place was not busy. The service was prompt. A great lunch for me out and my husband at home.

Yelp
Why do I constantly forget about Pizza Plant if we like it so much? I go past it all the time, so it's not like it hides in plain sight. (You can't really hide on Transit Road anyway.) In any event, I'll have to remember Pizza Plant from now on for a reliable choice. If you've never been to Pizza Plant, start with the pods. They're not quite a calzone, but the same concept applies. You can make your own by picking the dough (try the garlic!) and various stuffings, or you can go with one of the ready made choices. What I really like best about the pods is that you can substitute vegetarian meat replacements, and even vegan cheese at times (both for an extra charge, but worth it to encourage them to keep it on the menu). I can attest to the Roman Tomato, Popeye, White, and Plato pods in particular. It's just really nice to see vegetarian adaptations available, and I want to promote that. Aside from the aforementioned pods and pizzas, the menu is extensive. There's a lot of what you'll see in most bars, like wings and nachos, and plenty of pastas and sandwiches and the like. Consider the baked eggplant rollettes, a recent discovery and a new favorite. Even the meals that I would expect to be lackluster, such the wraps, were nice meal experiences. Definitely consider that the pods and pizzas are the priority here, but I have yet to be disappointed. When seating is available, it's a nice place to hang out for awhile and enjoy your experience. But for takeout, which every good pizza based restaurant should have, you can actually pick up your order from the drive thru window. I recommend calling in advance and then going through the line, it's more efficient that way, as opposed to trying to order in the drive thru. Pizza Plant will have to be towards the top of our lists from now on when we are able to spend time with family. It's nice to be able to say you've never been disappointed with your experience, even knowing that every time is going to be different. I'm certainly not going to complain if someone suggests Pizza Plant on a random day.
google avatar

Yelp
Pizza Plant a Buffalo staple. They have a very large menu with so many choices, they even have a gluten free menu available. There are so many beer choices on tap to choose from. Their prices are a little bit higher than some of the other local restaurants though. Indoor and outdoor dining is available as well. I loved their pepperoni and cheese pizza, I believe it was the flat pizza. My wife thought the gluten free pizza which I believe they make the dough was a bit dry, she asked for sauce and they brought it right over which was great!

Yelp
Dear Pizza Plant, You've been around for decades of my life, especially when we were young adults looking for places to eat after work! We'd shoot over to your location on Main st in Tony Walker plaza(no longer around because of your expansions else where) Then there were the family days bringing our wee ones in, to play with dough, your servers would bring to table for kids (not sure if you do this anymore), as my kids are teens. Over the past decade we've brought small & large parties of family with gluten intolerances, who've been able to comfortably enjoy your delicious pizzas, pods, Ext. On a rainy Sunday afternoon we were looking for a quiet booth for 2 and you were able to accommodate us right away. We ordered the Sicilian pod (hubby said it was delicious and he'd order it again), I seem to gravitate towards your Vegi Chili with basmati rice, layered in a spinach bread bowl (you can pick your bread bowl flavor) with cheddar or vegan cheese on top. I don't find that the tortilla chips & salsa are necessary on side of chili bread bowl. I always forget to mention I don't need them. I'm sensitive to corn, so if it was cassava flour tortilla or lime flavored cassava flour tortilla chips I feel it could be a better fit, and maybe a fruit salsa on side, since the chili already has tomatoes in it. Just thoughts! No worries, as I keep coming back for more. In my younger days you couldn't keep me away from the Popeye pod, it's delicious if you like spinach, and ask for a red sauce to dip in on side with your pods. I'm not sure if all pods come with a sauce on side. Pods are what make Pizza Plant stand out and their deep dish pizzas (which I like well done). The menu is huge with options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten intolerances, & meat lovers, and more. Your bound to find ridiculously good food for your soul. The place looks clean, the service is friendly and professional.

Yelp
Very nice outdoor patio! I love how they bake a lot of their food products. The chicken fingers were delicious! Our waitress was very friendly and stopped by to see if we needed anything a decent amount. They offer a little piece of pizza dough for kids (and adults!) to play with, you can ask at the hostess stand, and it's so fun to play with while you're waiting for your food. They have a lot of day of the week deals, so many sure to check out their website if there's something specific you're planning to get. Will definitely be back again
google avatar

Kristie K.

Yelp
Honestly don't understand why restaurants bother to even try to note which menu items are gluten free if in fact they are never available and your staff proceeds to actually recommend and item as a replacement that CONTAINS GRAINS AND IS NOT GLUTEN FREE. Tried to order gluten free chicken fingers and since they don't have them was offered the "vegi-wings" which are made of veggies and Grains. Last time we tried to order gluten free pizza from here and ended up paying over $20 for a med. pizza WITH NO CHEESE ON IT. Do you know the difference between "gluten free" and vegan?! Just stop trying

Kim D.

Yelp
We went there on Friday evening around 7pm. The hostess said it was about 20 minutes and took our name and cell number to text when our table was ready. Once we were seated, our server Anthony came right over. At first, he seemed rushed to take our orders, but then he gave us space and brought our drinks and appetizer quickly and timed our entrees perfectly. We ordered the mozzarella garlic bread. It looked good visually, but the bread was thin and not crispy. For the entrees, I ordered a make your own pod. The dough was thin and chewy. Most of the ingredients were packed into the middle, so the ends were just dry bread (2/3 of the pod). We also ordered a baby stuffed pizza. This was just basically dough, cheese on the crust and a ton of sauce poured over the top. There was so much sauce.. it wasn't edible. We sent it back. Our server apologized and took it off the bill and brought us a different meal. While the staff is nice and the ambiance was ok, the food was basic in our opinion.

Yelp
This is a cute little restaurant on Transit. The staff is nice and the service was good. Stopped in for lunch and opted for the pizza pods. They were really good and filling. They remind me more of a calzone You select a standard ingredient one or select your own ingredients and it's baked fresh. I just opted for s simple pepperoni and cheese and it came out great. My concern was that it would be a little hard but it wasn't. They are a great for a lunch stop. I know they always have a great special for restaurant week ...so that's a good time to check it out

Yelp
With a varied menu, a good beer selection and a band there was not much missing from our Saturday night. The bar had over 25 beers on tap and a wide variety of bottles. The selection was good, no Bud Light or Coors here. The wine list was also good and reasonably priced. I had the Pasta Diablo with angel hair pasta and chicken sausage. It was excellent except for the melted mozzarella on top. Just too much cheese. My wife, sister and brother-in-law had stuffed pizza. They all liked their pizzas. The service was attentive and very responsive. After dinner, we went into the bar for the band Queen City Blues Rockers. They were good, and if we lived in the area, we'd definitely follow them. The only complaint is that the band families took the best tables in the bar. Not a good thing! All in all a great place for pizza, Italian food and music on a Saturday night.

Yelp
Only reason this is two stars is because the service was decent. The food was delayed because the kitchen burned both of my parents' pods the first time. Then when the new pods arrived, the chicken in my father's pod was cold. I ordered the chicken pesto wrap. It did not taste like pesto at all. I asked if I could have pesto on the side and was told by the waitress that the pesto here is "just a seasoning" and I could have some to sprinkle on. Really? Pesto is in the title of the dish and it doesn't actually have pesto in it? That's the only reason I ordered the wrap. It was also sopping wet and poorly wrapped. Not a very good experience.

Yelp
Waited an hour for a table while people who had finished eating sat and talked. Staff did nothing to move them on. Left and went somewhere that wanted our business.

Yelp
Brought my vegan friend real chicken instead of the plant based option.. figured out half way through eating. Be careful Very sub par food - looks & tastes like the frozen food section of Walmart

Yelp
Nice spot. Nice decor. Great pizza. Good service. Liked building my own pizza. Wish they would expand into the south towns a bit.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick lunch and got the baked chicken fingers and was very pleased with them. Generous serving of eight fingers for $11.49 with some carrots and celery. Definitely recommend and will order again.

Yelp
I've lived in Buffalo for most of my life and I can say for certain that Pizza Plant is one of the best restaurants in the area. Every time I come back home to visit I order my favorite pod and feel so comforted by how consistent the taste is. And that creamy garlic red dressing.. delicious. I put that stuff on everything. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the interior design has a great vibe. I heard a Cocteau Twins song playing on the speakers once at the Transit Rd location and I knew this place was top notch.

Yelp
Four of us ate here last night. There was a short wait so the servers could catch up. That's fine. We were seated and the server came to us in a few minutes. We already knew what we wanted because of the time waiting. He took our drink orders, appetizer order and dinner. The drinks took forever... at least 15 minutes. (1 bottle of wine and a beer). Nothing special that had to be crafted. We then waited....waited... waited and our dinners arrived. The waiter had no idea what any of them were... we all ordered pods... Pesto pod with veggie chicken on spinach Amy pod with veggie chick on sesame Tri pod on white Popeyes pod Mine was the pesto one and it came out on sesame. Not what I ordered but I knew it would take another week so I ate it. Imagine my surprise when the bill comes and I had to PAY MORE for the sesame that I didn't even order. He looked confused and said the kitchen does not tell them which ones are coming out. Sorry! We asked about the appetizer and he looked confused again. It was the spinach and artichoke dip. He brought it to the table after we were done with dinner. Obviously the restaurant needs less options or better qualified servers. There are a ton of eating options here in Buffalo and will choose a different one next time.
