Totally TORN on this one. I am a self-avowed Pizza Junky, and one of the friends who brought us here is a foodie, born and raised in Sicily- so I had high hopes.
It's a really cute place with a few tables inside and a few more outside. Overall, I think they've done an okay job with COVID-19 precautions. Acrylic screens, individual packets of cheese, red peppers, and other condiments, and the tables are spaced out nicely. However, the traffic flow getting in through a narrow entry, getting food, paying, and leaving is close at best.
The good news is Pizza slices are HUGE and packed with ingredients. They have a nice variety of Pizza, Salads, Sandwiches, Drinks, and Desserts.
The bad news is they are not cheap - I get it, it's Disney. But, they are trying to be NY with the big slices - and a slice in NYC with similar ingredients might be half the price.
I had a slice of the San Gennaro ($8.25) Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella and Fontina Cheeses, Sweet Italian Sausage, Onions, Hot Cherry Peppers. They are all great quality ingredients. The sliced Cherry Peppers add a nice bite- and I was thrilled that the Cast Member asked if I liked hot food when I ordered it. The crust is beautifully crisp, chewy, and somehow light at the same time.
My husband ordered a slice of the Four Cheese ($7.95) Mozzarella, Provolone, Fontina, and Parmesan Cheeses. Again, crispy, gooey, and well made.
We shared a canned soda ($3.50) - so our bill for an afternoon snack was $19.70 - still a bit steep.
Our friends had a slice of the Funghi ($7.95) with Tomato, Mozzarella Cheese, Fontina Cheese, and Forest Mushrooms. And the Pepperoni ($7.25) with pretty basic Tomato Sauce, Pepperoni, and Mozzarella Cheese.
Don't get me wrong - they have good solid pizza, just a little pricey.
