Pizza Ranch

For it being an all you can eat buffet, they should never run out of pizza. No one ever came to pick up the plates throughout our time. The fun zone is not fun at all. Its very small and the prize selection is very limited.

We had reservations for 1pm today. Well that never showed up on the queue. We tried to reach out to north liberty. They never got it either. But. Two rooms were still available empty but the Manager Lisa handled business like a boss. Made sure we were all good and always checked in to make sure we felt welcomed and accommodating any wants or needs. Last minute party place for all I would recommend. The food is always good. Any style pizza minus anchovies is a must. Them new sauces are fire!

Wonderful experience. Nice pizza selection, fresh, hot options for chicken and such. Salad bar was amazing! But the best part was the customer service. From checking in and requesting our favorite selections to Lisa checking on us and clearing our plates. Every employee was thoughtful and courteous. Check this place out , well worth it!!

Pizza Ranch has always been my family's favorite restaurant, but the switch to Pepsi is just abysmal. It's awful reaching for your soda to wash down some yummy pizza and instead of the refreshing taste of Coke I get the unpalatable affront of Pepsi. It's miserable. I guess it's forcing me to be healthy and drink water. PS: I do really love the food though. Good salad bar, awesome chicken and mashed potatoes. And of course I love the pizza. The classic basic cactus bread is my favorite. Would be 5 stars if not for the recent switch from Coke to Pepsi.

One of the best experiences I've ever had! The manager Lisa was the best and hospitable. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly. This location has 2 different style bread sticks and aqua fresca.(other ones we've been to never had these items) I also liked how they are giving back to the community with a school supply drive. This is the Iowa city location and we'll be back soon! Thank you staff!

My kids love this place, it is their favorite restaurant. Aside from pizza, they had a good strawberry pecan salad option at the salad bar. The soft serve ice cream machine is also a favorite. The staff were very kind and helpful.

This is a basic American buffet specializing in pizza and fried chicken. It has a salad bar and other sides like fries, mashed potatoes, etc. It depends on the day. However, it can be challenging considering the staff may not be able to keep up with the traffic and people's behavior. With this said, food products usually get contaminated due to behavior and the set up of the buffet. For example, people will use the utensils to serve their food on multiple items like grabbing onions with the tomato utensils. There are many serving options you have to reach across so many food items get dropped into other food products. HOWEVER, the soft serve ice cream can make you forget the issues I've mentioned!

Pizza ranch is a great place to come and eat and share with friends and family. When I was a kid I came with my family all the time even before they moved locations, the food is great and the service is friendly i highly recommend coming here if you love pizza and love hanging out with friends.

This was the best pizza buffet I have ever had. I love the additional soul food selection of fried chicken and more!

We got there an hour before closing and they have a new rule implemented that you get $5 off per person, I love that idea because they just throw away everything and it'll get more customers to still come in and so it's less food waste. They food was hot still and good! But Isaac & James were amazing! Isaac was extremely helpful and nice, help up with no attitude (unfortunately you get attitude sometimes from some workers just for asking questions) but Isaac was so helpful with any questions or and needs we needed for food. James bussed tables but was very helpful and sweet. Also willing to help if we needed anything and my 2 year old was all over the place but he offered extra cake they had since he seen her eyeing it & just made us feel welcomed. Isaac & James get 5 starts for great customer service

I stopped for dinner on a Wednesday at 6 pm and I got theirChicken.  The only reasonI eat at Pizza Ranch is because of the Chicken, it is so good.  As usual, the Chicken was outstanding. The restaurant and buffet were clean and organized and the service was excellent.  I will be back.

First the food is barely edible. Don't get the take 2 togo unless you are okay with being accused of stealing. I am looking forward to seeing this pizza ranch go out of business. Not only that but its a rip off. $9 + tax is criminal. Their buffet is at best so so. It all taste like crap. Who wants to pay $13.99 for lunch or $16.49 for dinner buffet is a joke. Lmfao...

We had chicken delivered this afternoon. First they didn't let us know by knocking that the food was here. Second the chicken wing still had feathers! Yucky I have a picture.

We have to come to this Iowa City location for buffet because the North Liberty one is closed. This Iowa City location is horrible, their food is dried, no one will come pick up the trash, the place is very dirty, table and chair is very sticky. Also, most of the customers eating at this location are low class people, they are rude and noisy. Coming to eat in here is like walking into a zoo. Never again!!

We ordered an 8 piece chicken dinner to be delivered. I was waiting for an Amazon delivery and saw our chicken dinner had been delivered 45 minutes before. I can understand the driver wanted to slip in with our dinner and not disturb us. But one of the chicken wings still had feathers on it. There are several steps I believe the plucking of the chicken, the washing, packaging delivering then the breading at Pizza Ranch and frying. No one notices there were feathers still attacked to the wing. I will never eat food from them again. The chicken wing is in a baggie in the frigde and will be returned.

Update- just got delivered, it was cold AND THEY DELIVERED SOMEONE ELSES Order to us so we had to wave him back! I will never place an online order through Pizza Ranch to be delivered again. The last THREE deliveries I ordered I had to call to see where my food was and hour after I ordered. Every time they mention the order either not showing on their system or the food was still in the warmer. Today I still haven't received my order and it's been 2.5 hours so I give up.

I found this Pizza Ranch location to be very clean and organized. The staff did a good job of having a variety of food consistently stocked - even when we showed up 25 minutes before the buffet ended. They were also accommodating in making a pizza by request even though we were one of only a few groups there at that time. The food is average, as one would expect for a buffet chain, but fast and plentiful. My husband stands by his assessment that the cactus bread is their best item on the menu. I'm personally a fan of the cheesy ranch stix and blueberry dessert pizza, though. Even though the building is a little farther back from the road, the signage is big and bold enough to catch your attention. Navigating to the parking lot from the road is a bit odd, but there are plenty of parking spaces once you get there.

Bruce and his staff are truly remarkable. They are kind, personable and always on top of it. I am in the industry and there's not much more I appreciate more than feeling welcomed into an establishment with all smiling faces. Bruce is an absolute pleasure every time we visit. The food is always good but arriving here and seeing them is why we keep coming back! - Austinie

I see why there weren't many people in this restaurant. The chicken drumsticks were undercooked. There were only three pizzas available, and no desert pizzas. Even the plain vanilla ice cream was terrible. I'll pass next time.

Solid buffet place. They will make a pizza you request and put it out on the buffet as well. Plus after eating you can head on into the arcade and play some games!

I've been here 3 times and decided to try a Sunday brunch. Big mistake. Dry eggs cold chicken and rock hard waffles. One person working and care free on her phone instead of taking care of the buffet.

Just ate here with my son, worst dining experience of my life!!! Seriously!!! I literally watched someone drop a bottle of dressing behind the salad bar and an employee picked it up off the ground and placed it back in the salad bar, wtf man?! Virtually every booth was a disaster, and never got cleaned while we were there. I don't think I'll ever come back!!!!

We spent over $100 for the buffet. There were maybe 2 slices of old pizza on the whole buffet. There were more flies than pizza. When I asked what pizzas were coming out (after chasing down staff that was ignoring me!) and staff wouldn't tell me what was coming out but said my kids wouldn't like whatever was coming out. Pizza Ranch in Iowa City. The filthiest restaurant, super expensive, and rude staff. I had to shower after leaving there. This place should be permanently closed!
