The area where this location resides is sketchy-looking. At first, the person I arrived with didn't want to go into the restaurant. There is a drugstore nearby and the location is in a building that doesn't look very promising.
However, when we walked in, jeez were we surprised! The interior was very clean, and the decorations were very cute and modern-looking inside.
The bathrooms were clean.
You cannot purchase Challah as a side, you have to purchase the whole loaf. The Challah was great and our hostess asked us to warm it up in either an oven that had meat inside of it or another oven without meat, so they are friendly towards religious diets. We saw a lot of Jewish people inside so it seems to be a great place for those who follow the Kosher diet. The samurai roll was good but I wished they used real cream cheese instead of a dairy-free alternative. The shakshuka was great, and I love shakshuka so I have had a lot of shakshukas to go off of. Maybe I'd just want a bit more seasoning and I could have asked for some feta on top.
Overall a bit pricey but still great. I also had a Jewish juice drink with my meal and it was very sweet and tasted great. You get drinks from the refrigerator and you pay at the end of your meal at the cashier. This is an interesting place because it combines sushi with a Jewish/ Mediterranean cuisine. So, if you and a friend are craving two different cuisines, you should stop by here!
