What a wonderful new gem! We hadn't been fortunate enough to visit the original location in Windsor yet, but when I saw this pop up with the happy hour menu, it was added to the list. We showed up maybe 10 minutes after they opened (3pm on weekdays AND open on Mondays which is rare!) and were immediately sat by the windows. We started with the happy hour pizza roll which is massive and filled with a LOT of cheese and pepperoni, sipped our happy hour draft beer and wine, and perused the rest of the menu.
We opted to get our server Jason's recommendation since we were torn between the Short Rib Fusilli and the Colorado Bolognese Rigatoni. He gave a resounding suggesting of the short rib dish, so we ordered that and attempted to finish the massive pizza roll. When the Short Rib Fusilli arrive later, we were impressed by the presentation, aromatics and flavor - SO delicious. The only issue we had was, after digging through for a minute, there was no short rib evident. The manager came over and asked how we were enjoying our dish, so we let him know we had yet to find short rib. He took our dishes back to the kitchen and had them remake it for us, and offered us a complimentary dessert for our wait. When the dish came back out (and it was PHENOMENAL in flavor prior), it had us melting into the chairs. Tender, slow braised, rich, not overly-salted... just heaven.
They ended up treating us to their Limoncello Spritz (another thing I HIGHLY recommend) and we walked out with leftovers that didn't make it to the next day. We will be back far too often for our waistlines, but it is beyond worth it!
