"The painting of the Gulf of Naples and the Maradona uniform decorating the wall exude the spirit of Naples, where the chef learned to make pizza. He pursues authentic flavours and puts much effort into procuring and using Italian ingredients. He even had the oven artisan from where he trained come over from Italy to install his oven. We recommend trying the skilfully baked margherita pizza first. Not putting out appetisers is in keeping with Neapolitan tradition." - Michelin Inspector

We had to wait a bit before there was a table, but we were served quickly once inside. The pizza is around 1600 yen for the cheapest then it can get up to 3000 yen for the more expensive kinds. It was very filling and good pizza, but the structure of the base was kind of floppy and hard to pick up. Better to eat with utensils.

Decent Napoli style pizza. Mines was a little soggy but it was still tasty. Service is excellent and the place is small. Overall, it was a nice experience and a good amount of pizza. I think one pizza per person may be too much food. So walk here.

Fantastic! Well deserved recognition from Michelin. My wife and I ordered the margarita and the mushroom with arugula and ham. She usually downs like ham on pizza but both were so amazingly flavourful. She was worried that we would not be able to finish both pizzas but they were both so airy and light The crust was super thin and so full of flavour! The bottom of the crust bore the leopard skin markings that is a signature of premium Neapolitan style pizza that can only be made by a super hot 900 degree oven. We finished not only the two pizzas but got dessert as well ordering the Nutella calzone. The dough of the calzone stood out and was super tasty, even through the strong chocolate and hazelnut flavours of the Nutella. I can’t say enough amazing things about the dough. Delisioso!

Been looking for the best pizza in Kyoto and we found it at Ciro. This was our second visit, just to confirm that the pizzas from the wood fired oven really are superb. Was never a big fan of Margherita pizza but theirs changed my mind. Most likely the best pizza I have ever had. Anywhere. The ingredients were very fresh and full of flavor. We went a lunch time and it is best to book a table ahead before you go as it is a tiny place. Excellent hospitality and we will be back.

No matter how much ever you love Ramen, the craving for a good wood fired pizza can and will raise its crusty head, even in Japan. Look no further. Michelin starred. Bellissimo 👌

After a visit to Kinkaku-ji around lunch time, we randomly passed by this little restaurant. We weren’t even in the mood for pizza, but the smell coming out of the door was so inviting we decided to put our names on the waiting list since there was a queue to get a table. What a surprise! Ciro was amazing and you can trust me, we’re Italians and also picky when talking about pizza. We ordered a diavola and a margherita with bufala, both were delish. A real, authentic Neapolitan pizza made by a local guy who lived for two years in Naples where he learned not just about pizza but also how to speak a perfect Italian with a Neapolitan accent 😅 A nice break from all the great Japanese food I got during this trip. Definitely recommended, bravo Ciro! 🇮🇹
