Pizzeria Delfina - Downtown SF

First time visiting Pizzeria Delfina and it was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! When we arrived, there was a bit of a wait because of the dinner crowd but it was well worth it. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly wait person who verified the number in our party, invited us to sit in the waiting area, and explained that it was only a ten (10) minute wait. While we waited to be seated, another female employee prepared two tables and allowed us to choose whichever we'd be more comfortable at. Our wait person was very helpful, explaining the menu and offering recommendations because it was our first time. We were given long skinny bread sticks in a circular metal container while we waited for our dinner. The pizza was freshly prepared and had fresh ingredients. Definitely one of the best pizza's I've had in the city. All pizzas are the same size, six (6) slices and come on their own personal cooking pan. The taste was incredible and very authentic! This is a must visit eatery!!!

Mmm, mmm good! I know that phrase belongs to another brand, but it's just the best way to describe the food at Delfina. I can't tell you how excited I was to hear that they reopened after the pandemic closure. My friends and I ordered the arancini to share which were little tasty spheres of perfection. I had the broccoli rabe pizza and Barbera wine. We finished everything off with a panna cotta and a quart size of matzo ball soup to go. So excited for the soup and leftovers 😋 ♥️

Very good pizza. Of the two we tried, the margherita was particularly good—the bright, fresh flavor of the tomato sauce really shined through there, whereas it got lost in the in the more complex and somewhat must flavors of the lamb pizza. Overall, though, very enjoyable.

Love Delfina and this new location is no different. Larger space so shorter waits, and they have a new leek antipasti which is amazing. Great service and delicious pizza.

We ordered the 4 Formaggi Pizza and added Pepperoni to it and also got an order of Arrancini togo and ate it in our hotel room. That Pepperoni pizza was the best pepperoni I have ever had and I’m from NYC! The Arrancini would have been better if it had sauce with it but they were still good. I highly recommend that pizza though!

Not sure if it was because I was hungry 😋 ... had a late lunch at 3:00pm after a 5 hr flight but the food here was just so delicious and fresh. It only took be 15 mins 😂

Great food and even better customer service! My order was forgotten about and then wrong, but the staff apologized, offered me an appetizer and then comped my meal at the end. The pizza I ordered was delicious!

Very nice use of the space for this new (December 2018) addition to SoMa's food scene. Solid competition for Delarosa nearby, although I think Delfina's pizzas aren't quite as flavorful and are a bit smaller. Pro tip: you don't want to sit anywhere near the door, which has a tendency to not fully close when the wind is blowing.
