Pizzeria Delfina Review - Mission - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Note: Pizzeria Delfina is currently take-out only. The average pizza at Pizzeria Delfina is perfectly decent. Sometimes, your pie will be straight out of the oven, with that perfect bready chew, steam rising, and you will think to yourself, “This is one of the best pizzas I have ever had." Other times, it will seem like your Neapolitan pizza sat around for a few minutes and hardened into stale pastry. The crust will have taken on the texture of baguette, and you will think to yourself, “What was I thinking last time? Was I dreaming?” These dueling experiences define our time at Delfina. Which side of Delfina am I getting tonight? Harvey Dent or Harvey Dent’s exposed skull? photo credit: Krescent Carasso Some strategy might improve your chances. Going on a weeknight usually helps, especially at non-peak hours. Ordering the “magic pie” (Panna with added sausage) guarantees the toppings will be good. If it’s warm enough to sit outside on the sidewalk, your night will be better no matter what. The Pizzeria Delfina formula definitely works—there are locations in Pacific Heights, Burlingame, and Palo Alto in addition to the Mission original we’re talking about here. We’ve experienced similar highs and lows in Pac Heights and Palo Alto, so we hope they can iron out the consistency before going on a Shake Shack-style march across the world. It’s nice that we live in a city where you can plop down at Delfina and have pretty solid pizza sent your way, any night of the week. We just wish we got more of the "perfect pizza" nights and fewer of the “crusty bread” ones. Food Rundown Margherita Pretty much exactly what you’d expect, which is usually pretty good. Panna With added sausage, the best choice on the menu. The cream, basil, and parmesan exist in perfect harmony. Lives up to its nickname, the “magic pie.”We get one every time. Clam OK, but it isn't standing up to your favorite New York or New Haven clam pies. Prosciutto The prosciutto is good, and the mound of arugula makes for a nice salad, but we often dig underneath to find a lack of sauce/topping action. So if the top two ingredients slide off at all (happens!), you end up with a lightly cheesed slice, and little else. An architectural conundrum. Salsiccia A solid sausage and pepper pizza, if you’re into that. Insalata Tricolore A palate-cleansing salad, but not much to write home about. Meatballs Meatballs in red sauce. What could go wrong?" - Max Child

A friend brought me to this restaurant and I enjoyed the food so much that I took my family back there a few days later. The pizzas were excellent! The crust was so light and crispy. I feel this was the best pizza crust I've ever had! The appetizers were all so good. The restaurant appeared to be under renovation so there was only seating outside which was nice still. The server was great to make recommendations and was pleasant. I will definitely return when I visit the area again.

After spending the morning in a baking class with my niece, we decided to grab some pizza. I knew she enjoyed it, and since she had never been to Pizzeria Delfina — it felt like the perfect choice for our girls’ lunch. I first discovered them at their original San Francisco location 15 years ago, and later enjoyed meals at their Palo Alto spot. It’s been a while since I’d been back, mostly because there are so many other dining options when I’m in Palo Alto. But today felt like the right time to revisit, and introduce her to it. When we arrived, the interior was under construction, but their patio was open with heaters, so we sat outside. We were definitely hungry, so we ordered a farm-to-table salad, their famous meatballs as an appetizer, and then shared a pizza. Both my niece and I agreed — the crust was fantastic. As someone who travels to Italy frequently for work and has had the pleasure of trying many authentic pizzas there, I can confidently say that Pizzeria Delfina’s crust holds its own. It was thin, crispy, chewy, and packed with flavor — just perfect. My niece, who is becoming quite the budding foodie herself, really loved it too. I’m sure she’ll be back, and I’m so happy we shared this experience. Parking in Los Gatos can be hit or miss, depending on the time of day, but we were lucky and found a spot nearby. The restaurant is located right off the main street, with parking lots close by. The vibe is upscale casual — nothing stuffy — and sometimes it’s just nice to enjoy a simple, delicious meal that isn’t overly complicated. Service was wonderful: attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. We’ll definitely be returning more often — highly recommend!

Tried this place two times now, and both experiences were uniqely 5 stars, so it's time to write a review! SERVICE: Shoutout to Artem, who has been our waiter both times. He was so attentive, friendly, and helpful. The menu here changes so when we came a second time, we didn't see our faves-- he was so flexible and helped us get our fave pizza even though it was off menu! FOOD: The pasta here is insane! Portions are good for 1-2 people, I actually ate the whole bowl myself (hehe!). I've tried both their lemon pasta and their pesto. The pesto reminded me of a green goddess sauce, full of veggies and so light. The pizzas were also excellent, our favorite is the Amatriciana. I also loved their Funghi pizza which was crisp and full of flavor. I would reccomend asking your waiter for the hot pizza oil for a spicy drizzle. AMBIENCE: The outdoor terrace is so quaint and cute, with lots of trees and plants to make you forget you're even near the street. The interior is also adorable with lots of blue and gold detailing.

Used to be our go to spot but lately the pizza has been disappointing, almost like taking Grocery store frozen pizza and heating it up. It used to be one the top 3 in California for us, but now it’s just a money grab, sorry. Customer of a few years

Google
A great Neapolitan pizza restaurant that also serves other Italian foods in downtown Palo Alto. The margarita DOP and Salciccia pizzas were outstanding, although the edge of the crust seems slightly dry. We also tried the Maiale al Latte dish (milk-braised Berkshire pork with very creamy cheesy polenta). The pork was fork tender and full of flavor. It was a very good and rich dish. Serving staff were all very friendly. We sat outside in the garden on a sunny afternoon and it was very pleasant. Price is not inexpensive (they automatically add 5% service fee due to employer mandate), but overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

Google
The pizzas here are excellent! We tried the pepperoni and mushroom pizzas, and both were delicious. You can taste the quality of ingredients. However, the cauliflower appetizer, recently added to the menu, was a bit underwhelming—it tasted like plain roasted cauliflower. What I love most about this place is the ambiance and design, both indoors and in the outdoor seating area. It’s especially nice to visit in the summer and enjoy the outdoor space and some good beer.

Google
Completely messed up my take out order. My prosciutto pizza did not have arugula. That’s one of the reasons I ordered this pizza! 4 formaggi did not look like it. Looks more like margherita, with the basil. It was also a bit burnt and bitter.

Very nice. Good pizza, had the broccoli rab, good wine, warm inviting atmosphere. Low key service.

Yelp
Angelo & Franco Burrata 4 arugula, bitter; crostini, large, thick, crunchy, olive oil; one burrata ball, fresh, creamy, juicy, spreads well on bread, finish with salt & pepper Zuppa: Butter Bean & Escarole 4 soup, pancetta, chili; too many beans, not enough soup, flavorful, not spicy Saffron Arancini 3 deep fried saffron rice ball, cheesy, saffron flavor Mortadella Pie Pizza 3 cheese, pepper, onions, medium flavorful Salsiccia Pizza 4 thin, slightly soggy; sausage, sweet pepper, onions, mozzarella, tomato sauce, flavorful Panna Cotta 5 kumquat slices, citrus; pistachio crumbs; super creamy, refreshing, flavorful, not too sweet

Yelp
I was really craving pizza one night, and I had heard great things about Pizzeria Delfina. The ambiance here was great, and we were seated quickly. I got the pasta fagioli and salsiccia. The soup was so delicious! It reminded me of all the times I had it when I was sick - it's my version of chicken noodle soup. Highly recommend trying it! The pizza was decent. It was certainly large enough for its price, but it just didn't taste great. It needed salt, pepper, and lots of red pepper too to even have a distinguishing taste. This is so strange given that usually sausage pizzas are so flavorful and salty from the sausage! Very disappointed... but at least it's better than Domino's? Maybe it's because I'm from the northeast so I have high standards for pizza, but I've certainly had better pizzas for less all over the US! If you're looking for super authentic pizza, pizzeria Delfina will remind you of it but won't be the real thing!

Yelp
Neapolitan pizza is my absolute favorite and this place really nails it! White sauce base - mushroom pizza was super earthy and cheesy... one of my favorite pizza toppings. They have 2 types of margarita pizza and we got the upgraded DOP one. Probably one of the best margarita pizzas I've had. Loved the outdoor patio - the vibe was very cozy and it is protected + has lots of heaters so it was pleasant sitting outside even in cold weather!

Yelp
We recently dined at Delfina, and it was an absolute delight! The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, each with its own charm. Inside, it's cozy with soft lighting and a warm, inviting vibe, while the outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying fresh air --ideal for both lively gatherings and intimate dinners. Now, let's talk about the food! Every dish we ordered was a treat. We started with the saffron arancini, which had a beautiful golden hue and a subtle saffron flavor that was both unique and delicious. Next up was the spaghetti pomodoro, a classic done to perfection with fresh tomatoes, basil, and just the right amount of garlic. For pizzas, we tried both the Cherry Pie and Panna pizzas. The Cherry Pie pizza had a delightful mix of cherry tomatoes and a hint of sweetness balanced by fresh mozzarella, while the Panna pizza was rich, creamy, and completely satisfying. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and you could tell they take pride in quality. Service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive and checking in just enough without being intrusive. Overall, Delfina is a gem for Italian food lovers. With the option for indoor and outdoor seating, delicious food, and attentive service, it's a place worth visiting again.

Yelp
It you're from San Francisco, you know Pizza Delfina. It's simple, rustic, and yummy. The location here is probably much easier to manage for most. Easier parking, more seats, nicer and newer. The food was identical to the original location from the few items we tried. Service was also better here but that could be a hit or miss. The vibes were good but a bit loud. If you want solid pizza with no frills. Delfina delivers. Are there better Neapolitan style pizzas in SF? Yes. But you'll have a much harder time finding them in the peninsula. It's chewy with a nice crust and solid ingredients. The rest of their menu also provides the Cal-Italian cuisine you'd expect. Overall, not a bad place for a quick bite, especially if you are craving Neapolitan Pizza.

Yelp
We recently had dinner at Delfina with my friend and her kids. The restaurant was a walking distance from her house in downtown. We were seated in the patio quickly after we arrived. The patio was charming and perfect for family with kids. We ordered a pizza and spaghetti for the kids to share and the arugula salad for us girls. All the dishes were great. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and you could tell they put high emphasis in quality in their dishes. Service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive and checking in just enough without being intrusive. This is definitely a place that I would come back or recommend to my friends.

Yelp
Today I had the pleasure of having the vibes merchant, Artem, as my server. When we arrived he greeted us with a smile and a firm dap up. He served us with proficiency and efficiency, while addressing all of my personal dietary restrictions and requirements. He even made a cute latte art for me! We had the Broccoli Romanesco and the Saffron Arancini as appetizers, and they didn't disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the spiced yogurt in the broccoli! The pizzas were amazing, with the crust crispy on the outside and bottom, with a nice chew in the middle. Toppings were premium as well. We also got tiramisu for dessert. It was not too sweet, and had amazing texture. Overall, would come again!

Yelp
This spot in downtown Palo Alto is perfect for gatherings with friends and family. Each pizza offers a unique flavor, with a chewy crust and flavorful sauce. The outdoor ambiance, complete with wall vine plants, is ideal for enjoying a spring breeze and reminiscent of Italy. Our overall experience at tonight's family dinner was excellent, although there was a mistake with our order and we missed the clam pie. Please note that nearby parking can be tricky due to the 2-hour same zone parking limitation. Make sure to plan ahead.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for family dinner. Something for everyone! The service is quick and friendly. They are busy so be sure to get a reservation. The star of the show was the tiramisu! It was not too sweet, perfect texture, and great portion size. I will come back for just this and drinks. We got a burrata with crostini's and arugula salad. It was fresh but basic. The tricolor salad was fresh with lemon dressing but also very simple. The pizza was good but slightly undercooked dough inside which was not ideal but it had a rustic, fire burnt, and crispy exterior. We added broccolini to or pizza which was delicious. The meat, sauce and cheese were high quality. Overall, not a pizza I would come back for. I really loved how fresh everything tasted. I had all that food and didn't feel stuffed at the end of the night. I would recommend this spot! Especially for families as there is something for everyone and great interior or outdoor seating.

Yelp
I've previously been to the original location in SF many years ago, so I was pretty excited to try the location in Palo Alto for a team dinner. We had a fixed menu: - Saffron arancini - saffron-mozzarella risotto fritters - Little gem lettuce - green goddess dressing, avocado, pistachios - 4 Formaggi pizza - tomato, mozzarella, fontal, provolone, pecorino - Broccoli raab pizza - broccoli raab, caciocavallo, mozzarella, olives, hot peppers - Delfina's spaghetti pomodoro - Tiramisu I'm a big fan of simple pizza without toppings, so I can really taste the cheese, sauce, and crust. The 4 Formaggi pizza was right up my alley - very nice crust and cheese. I was amazed at how great the Little gem lettuce salad, since I'm normally not a fan of salad. The spaghetti pomodoro was solid, and the saffron arancini was decent. However, the Broccoli raab pizza was really bad - the crunch of the broccoli was just a weird texture to have on pizza, and the moistness of the broccoli made the pizza too wet. Overall, it was a nice spot for dinner and the good items were really good (4 formaggi, little gem lettuce). I'll be back!

Yelp
"Left in the dark" 4.5 stars for the food - consistently top notch (as always). -1.5 stars for the miserly manager who declined our server's request to bring out a "very small something with a candle in it" for a child's birthday. If you don't buy a dessert - no birthday candle for you! (If that's a Delfina policy, kindly require servers to inform parents if they specifically mention it's a birthday at the outset of a meal.)

Yelp
Get the pizzas here with extra crispy crust and avoid the rest. We were frequent diners of pizzeria delfina in SF. The dishes other than pizza were so much higher quality ins SF than here. The salad is just not as fresh. The tripe flavor was too strong. The pickled cucumber had a strong fish taste - not expected at an Italian pizzeria (it included garum as the first ingredient but how many people know that garum means a type of fish oil?) The pizzas are solid. We always get salsaccia and one other one (clam pie this time). Good service throughout the meal.

Anshuman T.

Yelp
The ambiance is fantastic especially with the outdoor seating. The staff is very courteous. The saffron arancini is delicious. We had the spaghetti delfina and the Panna pizza and they were fantastic.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
Pizzeria delfina with the solid pies! Started off with burrata which was a nice light way to start off the meal. Fantastic serving of cheese with olive oil and salt. The meatballs we just fine nothing on my end to rave about. Enjoyed the sauce it came with though. The arugala and crostini was nice to make a tiny toast with. We got the salciccia pie which had some great sausage. Also got the seasonal pie with mortadella and that was delicious as well. Both pizzas had a good bake was soft chewy crust. It held up well with all the toppings and not soggy. We got a the blood orange drink and iced tea and was pleasantly surprised that it came in a carafe so you can definitely split this if you wanted. Recommend this spot and would come back.

Yelp
Delfina does a brisk trade, and I think much of that is due to the excellent ambiance of its outdoor patio. The plant growth is quite impressive! The pizza menu is so-so: meat options are severely limited, although perhaps this is a deliberate choice to foreground the other flavours, which are somewhat dulled when meat is added. Even so, I think Terun has a more interesting menu, and serves up pizza with a more satisfying topping-to-bread ratio. For protein, the peppery roast chicken was a good option. The meat was firm and juicy, the skin crisp, and the side vegetables were useful in cutting down the fattiness of the pizza itself.
google avatar

Misha T.

Yelp
This update is for the pig roast, which is really a pretty great time. $75 is worth it because it's AYCE and the pig is quite good. The sides are no slouches as well with some great salads, beans, and other veggies. Don't be afraid to ask for the parts of the pig you want, especially once it slows down a little bit.

Yelp
Food and ambience are excellent here. Love the outdoor patio that's almost entirely shaded (so great for summer lunches). They are open for lunch now Friday-Sunday, and it seems pretty chill (didn't need a reservation). Vegans rejoice, they offer a vegan pizza off the menu. Just ask for it and they'll serve you a vegan pizza with their red sauce and 3 toppings of your choice. Toppings include: basil, bell pepper, onion, capers, olives, mushrooms, and I forgot the rest. It's like 8 toppings you can choose from plus whatever they have in the Additions section of the menu. I got olive, bell pepper, and mushrooms and it tasted great to me. Waitress was very nice and service was prompt (granted there weren't many people there for lunch). Can't wait to come back more frequently now that they are serving lunch.
google avatar

Frank D.

Yelp
Loved the pizza, the service, didn't like the EMPLOYER MANDATED 5%. COME ON MAN! Other than that, yes its good, yes I will be back.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Overall, agree with a solid 3.5 stars rating for all the food and experience. If you just stick to the pizzas and pass on the appetizers, the pizza is solid. We got a soup as an appetizer and a squash - both were ehhh ok- and I wouldn't come back to reorder. Service was good and the atmosphere is nice.
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
I've eaten salads and pizzas here several times and it's always been a solidly positive experience, even though the one in the city can be a wee bit pretentious. Tonight, however, I stopped by for a quick bite before a concert and discovered that during Hanukkah this very Italian sounding restaurant serves amazingly yummy latkes! Who knew? I had an order, served with sour cream and an applesauce quince topping (both served on the side in small ramekins). They were crispy and tasty. I make pretty fabulous latkes and usually wouldn't deign to order them anywhere outside my home except for a good deli, but I'm so happy I tried these. I had them with a glass of the Modi Prosecco, which added just the right light touch to the meal.
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
We got two pizzas, an appetizer and a dessert to share amongst 3 people and it was the perfect amount of food. Solid pizza that's reasonably priced. Service unfortunately was kinda meh. The host basically ignored us for a good 10min even though we had a reservation and served others even though they arrived after us. That said, the food is fantastic and I'll probably return again.
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Really enjoyed the burrata, salads and prosciutto pizza. We were seated in a nice indoor table right away even though we didn't have a reservation. I was super impressed by the food and how fast it came out. Even the marinara sauce was amazing. The only problem was that our server was not attentive at all, he was the kind of person who makes you feel not welcomed. He didn't greet us or even looked at us when he took our order. We had to waive him down if we needed something, including the check. He was just not nice at all!! It's sad because everyone else was super friendly and helpful, but that one person ruined our experience. Maybe he's just too young to be serving or had an off day, but I hope the rest of the team is not affected by his lack of professionalism.
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
We met family here for pizza before they had to head for the airport and a long flight. It was an interesting menu, mostly pizza. Service was friending and fast, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Locals who set up the dinner warned us to stay away from the wine, because it's expensive. We chose to eat outside, where we found the atmosphere quite pleasant, and with reasonable space from other diners. Recommended!
google avatar

Jaky Y.

Yelp
Good service and food, but prices are extremely high. We ordered 3 pizzas (pepperoni, margherita, carbonara), 2 pastas (vongole, rigatoni), 2 appetizers (olives, aracini - which were tiny), and 1 bottle of wine. Total came to approximately $50 per person when each of us only got 1-2 slices of pizza, 1 spoonful of each pasta, and 1 small pour of wine. Serving sizes are small; 1 pasta likely isn't enough for 1 person. Seems like a popular spot for corporate events.
google avatar

Leti B.

Yelp
This place is always pretty busy which definitely says something, pretty simple spot and a little crowded. Outside seating looks nice but still looks like people are sat pretty close to each other. Pizza is decent, prices is way too high. Going to be about $50 per person (I got a personal pizza and a beer)

Yelp
I love Pizzeria Delfina! Came by for the first time a few weeks ago and loved everything we got. The meatball appetizer was phenomenal and the caprese salad was soooo fresh and delicious. The pizza was amazing as well. Our server was so attentive and kind, and the restaurant itself is quaint and cozy. Great location in downtown Palo Alto! I forgot to take pics but I'll be back!!

Yolan Z.

Yelp
Ordered through Uber eats, HORRIBLE would be the right word! Called to complain and the hostess made herself become a GENERAL MANAGER to avoid addressing the issue, They can switch your order at their convenience if they don't have an item, heat up frozen food and sell it through Uber Eats, they know if you complain, they'll just start monitoring your tone to find a reason not to refund you, as if you're expected and supposed to be thrilled and happy to announce that their food tastes like S**** More to come, that's nothing!!!
google avatar

Wendy Z.

Yelp
Very solid pizza place, pretty nice location and food comes out quick. My only complaint is the crust ratio is too large and the crust was a bit bland this time around. Got these arancini balls that aren't pictured and they were rlly good, definitely recommend I ordered on doordash once and the pizza was really good, but the delivery fee is 8 bucks so I don't anymore :( Solid place overall
google avatar

Kasha T.

Yelp
This is a great Italian spot in Palo Alto that's right off of the main street downtown. Pasta and pizza were perfect, and I loved the apps (the cauliflower-- yum)! Pretty casual place but I'd say it's a little too loud/crowded for a date night-- definitely best for a night out with friends since what you order is pretty shareable. Servers were super nice too and can explain anything on the menu that doesn't make sense!

Yelp
I've had Pizzeria Delfina on my list for awhile and when a friend said she wanted to go for their good gluten free crust, I didn't waste any time inviting myself. - PD Negroni ($14) - Chilled tripe "street cart style" ($14): Some (ehmmm, one) in our party were more of a fan of the tripe than others. I personally didn't even try it since I'm adverse to organ meat. - Carbonara: We're in love with the silky 2 egg topping! The combo of all the ingredients is unique and a clear winner. I'd get this again and again. 5/5 - Pepperoni ($25) with sausage (+$4): The pepperoni plus the sausage is salty. The crust was amazing though. Light, chewy, and held its own with the toppings. 3/5 - Salsiccia ($22) with gluten free crust (+$5): The GF crust was surprisingly good! Would I order it if I could eat gluten? No. But for those that need to eat GF, this will more than get the job done. 4/5 - Strozzapretti & Umpqua valley lamb ragu ($27): We loved the rolled pasta which was al-dente chewy, the savory ragu and the salty shaved parm. 4.5/5 - Side of sauce ($4) had great flavor, but was so watery it was more like a thin soup and not very dip-able. 3/5 Service was attentive at times, then other times we had to flag someone down. 5% auto employee mandate tacked onto the bill too. Love that this location takes reservations (Opentable). They have a very cute outdoor patio area as well as a pretty spacious indoor seating area.

Conner B.

Yelp
Today I went in and had the best customer service i've had in many years. Artem was very kind and gave us extremely good customer service. A perfect example of who you would want as your server. Would definitely come here again any day of the week! The food was great as well! Would highly recommend the prosciutto pizza!

Yelp
1. Best pizza! I had the MARGHERITA. 2. Pompello margarita on the rocks. Great. 3. Service very good. 4. Very clean and no loud, annoying music. 5. I had early dinner, 5:30 pm on Tuesday and only a few diners but within the hour it started to get busy. 6. I'm moving back to the area and I will be obsessed with delfina. 7. Add ten minutes to find parking.

Yelp
The food was good, it was quick to get in and get seated. I didn't care for the broccoli pizza toppings but the crust was delicious. The burrata was also really tasty with the arugula

Yelp
We love this place! We set there a few time- service is always great! And they are very nice to our kids. And we also order take away A LOT! The pizza is amazing!!!!!

Yelp
I was visiting the area for a wedding and was staying at the Nobu Hotel on the same block so I wanted to find a good dinner close by. Luckily they had seating inside available since there was a large corporate event taking over the entire outside and I am so happy that I was able to actually try this place because it was really delicious. You pay on your phone for all your items and then they deliver them to your table so when you're finished you can just head out which is really nice. I started off with a meatball which was large and delicious and one of the better ones I've had in awhile. For my entrée I chose the Mother's Day Pizza which was a spicy vodka sauce, Burrata, and onions and it was wonderful. The pizza went quickly and then I finished it off with a cappuccino. Overall a great meal and I would stop by again next time I'm in town.

Yelp
This place has amazing pizza!! The napoleatana and the eggplant parm.... Just wow!!! Definitely earned a customer! The service is outstanding!! It's remarkable in this day and age where good service is hard to find.l, they set the standard! Definitely a must go spot.

Yelp
The best pizza I've had in a longtime. The service was great and everything tasted so good! The service was quick too. The ambiance was nice and cozy.

Yelp
The food was terrific, however, the atmosphere was noisy and the music was loud. However, we received terrific service from Julia, absolutely outstanding. She made it a true 5-star experience, going above and beyond checking in, providing speedy service, and being attentive to our concerns. We would no doubt come again after Julia's service and great pizza.
google avatar

Chris E.

Yelp
The pizza is always fresh and tasty. They do a great job on the sauce and getting the perfect texture for a thinner pizza crust. Our favorite is always the classic Margherita. I wasn't impressed with the eggplant Parmesan at all, but maybe that's on me for not sticking with what they are clearly famous for - the pizza. The service was alright this time, but in the past it has been better. They messed up our order a couple of times and were not at all apologetic about it, which was disappointing given that we had to wait another 15 minutes for a new pizza. It wasn't that big of a deal, just could have been better.

Yelp
We hosted a large group of 12 for lunch at Pizzeria Delfina last Friday. This review is mainly for the group menu. Everyone loved the saffron arancini. The salad was fine. We thought we would be getting 2 out of the 3 pizzas vegetarian. The Funghi pizza was the most popular. However, the other two group order options were Napoletana and Pepperoni. Although they were able to make one of the Napoletanas vegetarian, it felt like a salt bomb and didn't taste quite right without anchovies (according to guests who could eat both). We purchased the Spaghetti add-on and are glad we did!

Yelp
I loved the ambiance of this place. The pizza wasn't anything special though. Me and my friends sat outside by the fire pit which was super nice. Service was mediocre. My friend ordered spaghetti here and I liked that better than the pizza! It tasted so fresh and like it was homemade!

Yelp
Good pizzas. Although, the prices are excessive. That alone will prevent me from returning. But the pizzas are good quality.

Yelp
This review is strictly for the frozen meatball purchased from locale, a relatively smallish Bay Area vendor delivery service. Sometimes you're lazy, but don't wanna do another takeout. Figured restaurant quality meatballs must be a step above Trader Joe's. The dine in version looked pretty promising so let's try this. Not bad! I would order this again. Added my own Parmesan cheese towards the end of baking time, and there was enough bomb tomato sauce for the pasta to go with. DM for locale referral if interested. There's a variety of other goodies on the too.

Yelp
They have a lovely patio, very set back from the street, and the food was lovely--I had the eggplant Parmesan, which was spicy and delicious, and my husband had a pizza, which was wonderful. Super friendly service and they were lovely to our dog, for people like us who prefer eating outdoors with them.

Yelp
This is the best thin crust pizza in Palo Alto. The outdoor patio is beautiful and comfortable. We bring our dog and enjoy a family meal at least once a week. The meatballs are delicious and I highly recommend the vodka pasta. Truly a gem of a restaurant.

Yelp
The food was great! Meatballs were amazing, the pizza was good , just had a lil too much arugula. But it had a great crust and the dough was nice! My gf loved the tripe and seating at the bar was fast and easy! The bartender took good care of us!

Yelp
Had dinner reservations on a Friday night during Restaurant Week, our table was not ready until 20 mins or so after our original reservation time. Ordered the fried cheese balls to start, then the margarita pizza and prosciutto pizza. The Mariana sauce cost extra if you want the sauce to go with the fried cheese balls. Both pizza was tasty, but according to the other guests, it's not as great as the pizza quality at the original San Fran location.

Yelp
Grabbed a last minute dinner with a friend, we were able to get a reservation easily, staff was so nice and overall great time!

Yelp
Great spot for pizza! Beautiful patio & fun inside area. The service is great and the staff is very kind. It's a go-to of mine and I keep coming back for the amazing food!
