L'INSIEME

"Neapolitan pizza and char-grilled meat are the marquee cuisines at L'INSIEME. The chef opened his establishment in Kameido because its unpretentious atmosphere reminded him of Naples. With its casual, cafeteria-like atmosphere, the restaurant has put down roots in the area. We recommend is the ‘L'INSIEME’ pizza, which comes loaded with parmesan cheese and rucola. L'INSIEME respects Neapolitan traditions but adds creative touches that give it a unique personality." - Michelin Inspector

I have been wanting to try pizza in Japan for a very long time since I've heard Tokyo is home to some of the best pizza places in the world. I finally got my chance this trip. We picked one of the Michelin rated spots in the Tokyo area to try and it did not disappoint. Surprisingly there was no wait for lunch time and the prices are very reasonable. They offer a lunch menu which I think just comes with a free drink and any pizza of your choice. I think the pizza prices are the same as the dinner prices. The pizza here is Neopolitan style with the perfect chewy soft crust and has the signature leopard spots on the bottom. Pizza cooks super fast in 1-2 minutes and has a very thing crust. We tried the famous Margarita which for me is the standard pizza I use to compare all pizza places. For our 2nd pizza, we chose something from the specialty menu which was double the price but totally worth it. Since it was mushroom season, we order the specialty Shitake Mushroom pizza 3300yen.

Great pizza in Tokyo recommended by Michelin Bib Gourmand. It was definitely worth it. We had to wait in line a bit due to the popularity, but the pizza is worth it. Ordered the Linsieme and the Parmigiana. The fried squid and fried shrimp appetizer was also amazing. Definitely want to come back and try out more of their menu. Everything was delicious, and I need to try their options apart from typical pizza.

This has to be the best pizza in Tokyo. I was blown away by the menu, sooo many pizza combinations, and the dough/crust is amazing. The wine is also excellent. The store is well located and easy to get to. Last order is 9pm but check opening days as it is only a few days a week. Grab a tshirt, this place is special!

The pizza base is beautiful, I love the bread almost more than the topping. The staff was very helpful even though I showed up with no booking, just enough time for me to finish my meal. If you are visiting, try contacting them to book first! Staff and menu are also English friendly. I'll be back to try out more things in their menu.

Pizzeria e Braceria L'INSIEME in Tokyo is a place I'd highly recommend for anyone craving top-notch pizza in Japan. Their Napoli-style pizza is a standout, particularly due to the perfect char on the bottom, which adds a delightful texture and flavor. The atmosphere at L'INSIEME is just what you'd want from a pizzeria - casual and unpretentious, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. The focus here is clearly on the quality of the food, and it shows in every bite of their delicious pizzas. In conclusion, if you're in Tokyo and looking for some of the best pizza the city has to offer, Pizzeria e Braceria L'INSIEME should definitely be on your list. Their combination of perfect Napoli-style pizza and a laid-back atmosphere makes for a dining experience that's both satisfying and enjoyable. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The pizza is really good, but expensive. On top of that you are also forced to buy something to drink... Plus a 200 yen sitting fee. So expect to pay at least close to 3000 yen, even if you just want a pizza. Honestly if you're in the mood for pizza there's another place on the north side of the station with much better prices and pretty much the same taste.. But without extra fees and the need to buy a drink.

I had a margherita for the lunch special. The dough was cooked exactly how I like it; not too charred, and a bit chewy. I think it was the best pizza I've had in Tokyo so far, and excellent value, too.

From an Italian point of view: the pizza is very good, pretty much similar to the one that you could find in Italy. The only remarkable difference is that the pizza is a bit smaller compared to the size that you would normally have in Italy, but this is typical of Japan as in general the portions are smaller here compared to Italy/Europe. Did not try the rest of the menu. They charge for “coperto” and water like in Italy (this is untypical of Japan), but I guess it plays in making the experience “authentic”. Would definitely recommend if you crave a nice, proper pizza.
