For fritti: Start every pizza meal in Napoli with fried things like frittatine (basically béchamel-bound pasta croquettes) and crocche’ di patate. I love these things at Attilio and 50 Kalò and I Decumani (Via dei Tribunali 58-61) does good fritti, as well. But basically every place along Via dei Tribunali does fritti and pizza a portafoglio from roadside stalls for a quick bite on your feet.

Stopped here for lunch, nice street view from outdoor table and the food was ok - definitely not the best pizza we’ve had - but the service was not good. Offering bread and ham in a way that implied it was complimentary (luckily we guessed it wouldn’t be so declined), stopping us from going inside to use the toilet saying they were for customers only because they didn’t recognise us despite having been serving us for nearly an hour and then making strange comments to my partner when I put my card down to pay, saying a pretty girl with bright skin shouldn’t pay and asking him to give an extra tip to impress me. Seems like a bit of a tourist trap and I’m sure there would have been better places in Napoli.

Pizzeria I Decumani on Via dei Tribunali is a solid choice for pizza lovers in Naples, especially for those in search of fast and accessible street food. Their Pizza Fritta is a delicious standout—a golden, crispy delight filled with savory ingredients that delivers an enjoyable burst of flavor. While the atmosphere is lively and inviting, it's not always the most comfortable for a long stay. Overall, I Decumani offers a delightful taste of Neapolitan street food that’s worth trying, earning a respectable 4 out of 5 stars!

Google
Pizzeria Decumani in Naples offers a delightful dining experience with some truly delicious food. I ordered the Pizza Ortolana, and it was fantastic—loaded with fresh vegetables and the perfect amount of mozzarella. They also surprised us with some lovely appetizers, and the quality of the mozzarella was exceptional. However, the only downside was the music playing on the television, which didn't really fit the atmosphere and was somewhat distracting. Overall, the food was great, but the ambiance could be improved with better background music choices.

6 euro pizza Margherita?! What a deal. It is massive and delicious. Don’t expect air conditioning or great service- staff seemed annoyed/impatient at most tables. Maybe it was the 93F heat and lack of AC? 🙄 Clean bathrooms upstairs and the restaurant has ample seating (outside, ground floor, first floor)

This pizzeria was recommended to us by our hotel and it was a great choice. The staff were helpful and the service was very quick. The pizzas are amazing and very good value for money

Had the Pizza Margarita was so so fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was excellent but a bit too warm inside. The staff were busy, so i dont think the service was up to what it could be. But they saw my 5 year old and accommodated seating for us inside the restaurant.

Quality pizzas, reasonably priced, good location. Very good wine in small bottles. Boxes to take away anything not finished (I didn't need a box personally but others did ).

Yelp
Yes, there is a sit down restaurant here but my stop was at the counter at the entrance. I had a "portfolio" pizza that was quite tasty. Not fancy but great street food snack. If you're hungry and wandering through Centro Storico, this is where you need to grab a bite. [Review 19145 overall - 302 in Italy - 115 of 2023.]

Yelp
Wanting to try great pizza in Naples, we waited 40 minutes at 1:30 PM on a Sunday. Once we were seated, we saw that the operation was a well-oiled machine that focused on expeditious service. We knew what we wanted and we ordered quickly. We decided to split the Diavolo pizza, which had spicy salami, mozzarella, tomato, and basil. The wait was short and it was served hot, right out of the oven. I think our expectations were high and we were both a little underwhelmed. I mean, the pizza was good but so was most of the pizza that we'd tried all over Italy. The one thing we both commented on was the crust. It was absolute perfection - soft, slightly chewy, and a little charred. Unfortunately, the middle of our pie was soggy, which is always an issue for me. On the bright side, this place was inexpensive, friendly, and they had a relatively clean bathroom. If you want to try it, stand in line as the crowd moves fast.

Yelp
I have been looking for a good pizza restaurant that is not touristy and where all the locals go to and I have found one of them!! When dining I was surrounded by locals (and a few tourists like myself, although they probably heard of this place through recommendations from locals as I did). The price is inexpensive and the taste is great! For 2 pizzas, a beer and 3 bottles of water the price came out to be ~30 euros. The decomani pizza is very good! (It is the one that is shaped like a wreath). I highly recommend. I will definitely save this restaurant for when I visit next time!!

Yelp
Favorite pizza in Naples! I've been coined a 'pizza snob' more than once and I'm not sad about the title. I've been spoiled and have had the privilege/joy to eat pizza in Italy numerous times. It is an authentic family run restaurant with super friendly staff. It is NOT a tourist trap. The. Crust. It's what sets this pizza apart. It's exactly how I always want it to be. Crispy but still foldable. Can't go wrong with the classic here: margherita and sorrento. The pizzas are just the right size for everyone to get their own, we did not have any leftovers. The space is small and busy so try to get a table. We came with a group of 6 and they got us right in and never rushed us to leave. It's situated on a corner for lots of people watching and open windows to the piazza.

Yelp
Obviously standards for pizza are sky-high here in Napoli, and I ordered a salty-by-nature pizza so it's partially my fault, but... my anchovy, olive, and caper pizza was RIDICULOUSLY salty, like if you happened to get a bite with all the ingredients in it you had to guzzle a liter of water to be able to breathe salty. I am the kind of person who eats salt out of my palm when the craving hits, and I couldn't even handle this. I had the same kind of pizza in Taormina a week later and it was delicious, so sadly it wasn't just a function of the ingredients. No doubt, a different type of pizza would have been tastier - I saw them littering tables around me and listened to the mmmm's of delight from the people eating them - but sadly my choice was a miss here.

Yelp
The food was delicious. 5/5 stars for the food. A little salty but I like salt so it's all good there. 1/5 stars for service. Either they don't like tourists or they don't like Americans but either way I would say it was awful. When we got here there were lots of tables open, but they sat us in the back in a corner where every time an order is ready it rings in your ear. The server came to our table once. Literally once. That was to take our order. We never saw her again after that. We ordered an appetizer, water, two pizzas, and two beers. The table next to us arrived probably 15 minutes after us and got their food at the same time. Our beers and water were completely gone for a solid 15 minutes. We asked the woman who brought our food for more water, she agreed, walked away, and never came back. Eventually I walked up to the counter to find the woman working the cash register texting... when I asked for water she rolled her eyes and called over someone else. She could not be bothered to stand up and open the cooler next to her to get a freaking water. The guy came over and followed me back to the table with the water, while we were explaining we asked for water already and thanks so much because we are really thirsty (and hot in the stupid corner), he walked away mid sentence. Maybe this was the worst service we received in Italy. What a shame because the food was so good.

Yelp
This was recommended by a local. The name that always came up was a place down the block sorbillos which decided to open at 730 pm instead of 7:00. So this place won by default. The prices are very inexpensive- only beer and pizza - the dough is incredible from the brick oven- chewy and indescribable- I tried the "Stella" or star which was the most expensive and varied ingredient pizza- incredible... It came out in the shape of a star and each corner was filled with a different ingredient which is very impressive. They are not stingy on the cheese and ingredients. Great place. Highly recommended. Oh and right next door is a tour of Naples underground ancient area for underground water- missed the tour They say almost 1km below Naples! So do both!

Yelp
Delicious!! The pizza had a chewy, yet soft and fluffy crust. I had the 4 cheese (Quattro Formaggio). Husband had the Diavola. Both were excellent! The prices were beyond exciting too. Shared a full bottle of red wine and had 2 huge pizzas a piece (I brought home half!) for $25. Excellent meal! Kind staff!

Yelp
We were only in Naples for one day, which was unfortunately a Sunday, when many things are closed, including some of the most famous pizza places. I Decumani was the only one on every "best of" list that seemed to be open, so we ended up here by default, to a long 45 minute wait at 3 pm. There were a lot of locals here which the owners seemed to know - a good sign considering it also appeared in our guidebook. From what I could tell, the locals are traditionalists, opting for the Margherita pizza. We went less traditional, me with the prosciutto and mushroom and my bf with the "Decumani" which is a donut shaped stuffed pizza loaded with pretty much everything, and each bite was different from the last. Thin yet chewy, it was unlike pizza that I've had anywhere else. Delicious, and definitely worth trying when in Naples. My bf's pizza was even more unlike pizza that he'd ever had anywhere else, and he loved it. The Decumani is a great choice for someone who wants to try something a bit more unique.

Yelp
Yummy pizza -- and seemingly well-priced for the heart of the tourist area!

Yelp
Had the pesto pizza, fantastic. It was a 25 min wait but they turn tables fast and very good about getting food out quickly. One of the best pizzas we have had in Italy. Kid friendly place too!

Yelp
Authentic pizzeria, great pizza - amazingly inexpensive... We were the only non-locals in this hole in the wall fabulous pizzeria. One of the best pizza's we've ever had and our most inexpensive meal ever... Fabulous!

Yelp
Hole on the wall pizzeria in the worlds pizza capital.... Simply put you cannot go wrong here. Try the mi luna and Stella if you like your pizzas with a bit of a funky shape (moon and star shaped respectively). You might have to wait a bit to get a table, but it's well worth it ... We were here on a wed night around 10 and it reminded packed through when we left close to midnight. Nice atmosphere with closely packed tables. Most diners seemed local. Beer on tap too!

Yelp
The location is great, but the pizzas are just ok. I have to admit that the prices are good, but the pizzas are not so great. Mine was a capricciosa (6 euros), it was not very tasty, pretty bland, the mushrooms came from a can, and the garnish was very light. But I guess for this price this is what you can expect. Considering that I picked that place according to yelp's reviews, I was disappointed.

Yelp
The pizza was great. I ordered the Stella and my husband the Bella Napoli. I love thin crust pizza and like someone told me today, Napoli is The Birthplace of pizza! My only complaint is that it took over 55 minutes to get our pizzas. When I asked the waitress she said "oh you haven't gotten it yet?" and looked as though she was going to get it but it still took another 10 minutes.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza with a good selection of choices. Not sure if the wait staff were not. Friendly, or if that's just the Neapolitan way ;). Either way, food was tasty and it the price was reasonable. Give it a try :)
