Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. Scratch that, best pizza I have ever had Period. Everyone visiting Nara, please give these guys a visit. Not sure if Japan has a Coeliac certification system, but it's all good. They got a while separate stone oven just for the gluten-free pizzas. No, I haven't been to Italy, but this restaurant was supervised by a world-class Italian chef. It shows. It really shows. Don't think Italian food ever gets better than this. 5000 Stars out of 5.

Can I just start saying. Oh Dio Mio! Honestly, the best pizza I ever had in my life. I also ordered the carbonara pasta; and I can confirm, not even my mother cooked anything like that. It’s a little quiet as it is the opposite direction from Nara Park, but I can’t recommend enough! well done to the chef for having so much love for this place.

Pizza Icaro was one of the best choices we made during our trip to Japan. I have NCGS (non-Celiac gluten sensitivity) that affects my fibromyalgia symptoms so a celiac-safe diet is a must for me. Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. My food came out on specific dishes for gluten free food. The owner and team really know what they're doing. The texture of the dough was the closest I've had to traditional wheat crusts in such a long time, perfectly chewy and soft. Also the first calzone I've had since having to change my diet. 100% recommend. It's already on the list to visit again when we return to Japan in the future.

What an incredibly authentic, delicious Italian pizza. I am a coeliac living in Japan who needs to eat gluten free, and I haven’t had pizza this good since before I became gluten free! Also gluten free tiramisu. The staff here were very kind and the restaurant was buzzing.

A must-see for anyone passing through Nara. The place is absolutely worth it. We ate very well both gluten-free and normal. Chef Icaro made us feel at home, very kind staff. Wonderful experience, highly recommended!

Incredible gluten free pizza, pasta, and dessert! I can’t believe we found this gem in Nara. We’ve been traveling across Japan for a few weeks and needed some comforting Italian food and this hit the spot and all the marks. It’s a little out of the way but we took a taxi and I’m so glad we did. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Strong one star. Closing time 3pm. Arriving at 2.25pm afternoon. Sign on the door: Closed. Entered inside the restaurant: just the staff, no guests. One of the waiters told me immediately that it is closed. Then we went outside together and she showed me that the last order is at 2pm. Interesting how little interest they have in working in otherwise world famous hard working Japan. Also wouldn’t recommend for non-Japanese speakers as the waitress was struggling explaining the basic : closed, last order.

Delicious gluten free Italian food, with excellent customer service, and a very comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Best Italian pizzas in Japan. Very nice and helpful staff, who provided great attention and even called for a taxi. The restaurant is a bit far from Nara Park, but it is certainly well worth the trip when visiting Nara (today it was my second time, of many more to come). Very well recommend.
