The Best Pizza in Rome

"Da Remo serves Rome's signature style of pizza: large, unsliced, round personal pies measuring well over a foot in diameter. They're served hot out of the oven, molten cheese riding on the surface of a crisp and chewy base. Start with suppli' (rice croquettes) and fagioli (beans seasoned with olive oil), both classic pizzeria antipasti. But save room: Those pizzas are the main event. The place is busy; the staff doesn't have much time, or interest, in giving advice, so scope other tables for a sense of what's good." - Maresa Manara, Katie Parla

The 20 Best Pizzerias in Rome

"Don’t show up to this dinner-only Roman pizzeria between 8 and 10:30 p.m., or else be prepared to queue. Start with a few fritti and a plate of beans, followed by thin-crust pizza tonda, made in a wood-burning oven and sparsely topped. Surly servers dole out the consistently satisfying, simple pizzas like margherita and marinara, and there’s outdoor seating in the summer, a necessity considering the heat of the indoor pizza oven." - Katie Parla

Testaccio Is The Roman Neighborhood Every Visitor Should Explore | Eater

"A no‑frills, night‑only pizzeria beloved by locals for its atmosphere: paper tablecloths, fried starters, a wood‑fired oven and straightforward, thin Roman‑style pizzas served piping hot — classics like margherita, Napoli, capricciosa, zucchini flowers with anchovies, and sausage with broccoli are the order of the night, often enjoyed with a beer." - Rachel Roddy

Google
I think this place is a 2.5/5 overall. The supplí we got was a little overcooked, lacking tomato sauce and cheese. The mozzarelline we got was overcooked and was near impossible to stab a fork into. The coating had no type of flavor but the cheese was good at least. And finally the pizza, it had amazing flavor and tasted good but majority of the pizza was BURNT. I don’t know if that’s how this restaurant does things normally but it was a workout trying to cut the pizza and every burnt part you’d eat took away from the flavor of the pizza. Or part of that pizza wouldn’t have any flavor. The crust was so burnt it was inedible. We were told this was the best pizza in Rome but ehhhh. Everyone’s taste is subjective !

Not my best review, here's why: The food was amazing, but the service was not good at all. Probably the best pizza I've tasted in Rome but is it worth all the wait? Is it worth the stress and the tension of the waiters? I don't think so. A restaurant is not only about the food, it's an experience. First, you have an average wait of 45 minutes to get a table (we were only two), which I find extremely annoying and disrespectful for a customer. Do not normalize such behavior, maybe the restaurant should expand at this point. Second, we waited an endless 30 minutes minimum between the first service and the second (between the starters and pizzas), at this point it became too long... Third, our friend joined us at 10h45pm and the waiters didn't accept to add a chair to our table (although the restaurant was half empty because all the people that left). The waiter became violent and verbally attacked us. We explained that it was not our problem if the dinner took longer than expected because of their endless service (based on the concept of ignoring their clients) and we were supposed to leave and meet our friend at 10h30pm. Thanks to my sister that confronted the waiter, we got our extra chair, finished our meal and left the stressed and tense staff. Bad experience apart, the food was amazing. Everything was extremely well prepared and the ingredients are fresh and high quality.

Walked up to Remo at 10:15pm on a Friday, after a LONG day walking through Rome. It was next to our AirBNB apartment in Testacchio and the AirBNB person told us the pizza is great. We were shocked that is was totally packed and "bumping", full of locals having beer, wine, and pizza. We were the only Americans there. The staff speak little English and service is what you'd expect from a busy pizza restaurant (think a packed NYC restaurant where your elbows are touching other customers). The scene was electric, we hailed down waiters who brought food out quickly, provided abundant wine (a huge carafe of cold and flavorful pinot grigio) and local beer. Appetizers -- fagiole beans, insalata mista -- spot on -- and the eggplant (melanzane) parmesan was in a cast iron skillet, obviously made in the flaming pizza oven. Once of the best eggplant parms we've EVER had and we've had a lot. Now the pizza -- thin, crispy, perfectly black/brown on the edges, and piping hot. You gotta eat it fresh. Each of us, including our 11 and 7-year old kids, almost at an entire pizza, it was that good. We finished with coconut gelato that was served in actual coconut shells (not sure where those were imported from!), kids were licking the shells clean. The bill for 4 adults and 2 kids -- 89 euros -- including a to-go pizza. If you're in Testacchio, you MUST go here, if even for the eggplant parm or a slice of pizza!

Google
It's an incredible dough. Even its smell is delicious. Cheese is the same way. The right address for a thin and rich pizza. It doesn't bother you for the price. The employees are very sweet. One of the employees tied my bag as shown in the picture so that it would not be stolen or lost in the crowd. This is a very kind and true thought. I will recommend it to everyone going to Rome.

Google
We had a delightful meal at a local home style pizza place. The pizza bases were tasty and the service was no nonsense. We went at 7pm opening time during the week and got a table easily. It’s popular with locals and tourists for good reason. Excellent pizza and reasonably priced. We ordered suppli, pizza, 2 large beers and tiramisu. We went home very full and happy. Can’t ask for more. Grazie!

Google
The food was fantastic, the service was non existing. We were seated next to a local couple who happed to be proud sponsors of the restaurant, and even they admitted that the service was exceptionally slow that evening. As a tourist, the ordering is done in Italian on a sheet of paper that you fill out. Be sure to know what you want before you are seated, as there is no help from the staff. I would recommend getting some appetizers, as this makes the wait for the pizzas bearable.

I ate pizza here a few days ago. It was quite good, although I am not sure I would qualify it as great. The service was quite quick, and the clientele seemed to be a mix of tourists and locals. I would consider returning if I find myself back in Rome.

Google
Wow! We have heard it was good, but they blew us away. If you like thin, this is the thinnest, crispiest and best I have had. Loved the service, arrived 5 minutes after they opened and was able to get in, and by the time we left there were a lot of people waiting to get in.

Yelp
First night in Rome, and Italy after a long day of travel, whatcha going to need, pizza! We make pizza at home a lot, but it had been awhile since we had pizza in Rome. Remo did not disappoint, and hit the mark on the spot. It's a tiny place so they have an outdoor space right at the edge of the roadway which is a little harrowing. The service was excellent, and typically Italian, boisterous, demonstrative and just what we were looking for. The salads were fresh, lightly dresssed in olive oil and a little bit of vinegar. The tomatoes were so good, had a bit of salt on them to break them down a bit. The Neapolitan pizza was exactly what we thought, and hoped it would be, ooey, gooey, and of course uncut! The house white was plentiful, and tasty as well. Won't be our last visit!

Yelp
Amazing Pizza! If you get the privilege to eat pizza here, it doesn't matter what you order the pizza was awesome every single type of pizza they have was great! Thank you, thank you, thank you for an amazing experience at your restaurant.

Yelp
Not sure what the hype is. We got a margarita pizza with buffalo cheese. It was very thin and meh. Maybe it would be better if we got toppings. Also disappointed with the veggies. Thought they would be a mix. My mistake. It was gross spinach with no taste. Bad beer even though they said it was the "best one" and horrible wine. It was kinda sour and tasted like it used to be carbonated? Idk. It was gross to me. Couldn't drink it. Husband liked the pizza but nothing blew my mind. Left hungry.

Yelp
I agree with most other reviewers in that Pizzeria da Remo is a no frills restaurant with amazing food so place your order then be patient but don't worry because it's definitely worth the wait.

Yelp
Great service and ambiance. The place serves authentic Roman pizza. Always full of locals

Yelp
Don't waste your time writing a negative review. This place isn't just a restaurant, it's an institution. It's like if you wrote a negative review of the Colosseum, nobody cares and people would still come. Here you can experience the best thin crust Pizza in the world, period. It's up to you if you want to experience it or not. Also is cheap.

Yelp
Most pizza in rome was disappointing because the place is swarmed with tourists now but this place was great!

Yelp
Discovered this place on my second trip to Rome. Went 3 times to have dinner here that's how great this place is. Service is authentically Italian. Be ready for the menu to be thrown on your table along with a pen, followed by a 'Ciao'. Don't let this turn you of from ordering. You place an x next to the pizza you want and hand it over. When you're in Rome and are looking for a damn great Pizza place make sure you visit Pizza da Remo you won't regret it!

Yelp
Of all my reviews, I'm most excited to write this. The idea of having pizza in Italy might seem cliche, but i made it my mission to find the best pizza in Rome while I was there. And, mission accomplished. After days of research, I came across Da Remo. It's located outside the main tourist trap areas and in an unassuming shop. The place is authentic Roman and the employees make sure to let you know they're here to serve you amazing pizza and not hold your hand. Upon arriving you're seated at whatever table is open and given two cups to drink whatever you choose, and a pizza menu written entirely in Italian. The waiter, who is short on patience, then come back in 3 minutes expecting to take your order. I went with the Bufala Mozzarella pizza. Four minutes later, a pepper thin crust pizza showed up at the table with cheese rolling from side to side. The first bite did it for me. It was by far the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten, by far. The paper thin crust allows you to enjoy more of the cheese and sauce without getting overly full. The cheese is the best quality and tasting mozzarella I've ever had and the sauce was just special. It was so good that I order and second pizza and devoured it just as the first. This is hands down THE pizza restaurant you must go to when in Rome. Don't come here expecting white glove service. The servers are here to give you the best pizza of your life, and nothing else. And I promise they deliver on that.

Yelp
I'm no expert but I think this is pretty close, if not spot on, to a classic Italian dinner. They got pizza, pasta, bread, wine, whats not to love. We ordered a mushroom pizza which was a bit too soggy; I'd recommend sticking with a simple margherita pie. The carbonara was aight: tasty but not out of this world. House red wine was unbelievably inexpensive and actually really good - I had to watch myself to not order too much. The food came out in a timely manner, but we also juuuust beat the dinner rush, so take that with a grain of salt. The staff was friendly and I felt very welcome as an American intruding into the Italian dining scene and not knowing a bit of the language or culture. If you want a classic and satisfying Italian meal that won't break that bank, this is your spot.

Yelp
This is the best Pizza I had in Rome. You don't need reservations but be prepared to wait as it is always packed with locals. I heard about it on Katie Parla's blog and the pictures hooked me completely. So, by the time we arrived in Rome, I knew this was going to be one pizzeria we had to try. We arrived here on our rented Vespa and it was one of the best nights in Rome. Its located in Testaccio so the vespa was perfect as I dont know how far this place is from a metro stop. The pizza is to die for....thin crust, simple and so delicious! Get individual pizzas as they are perfect for one person and as in most authentic Italian pizzerias, this place is open only for dinner. In our 4 day trip to Rome, we ate here twice...it was simply that good. The servers are so friendly, I even took a picture with one of them. They speak minimal English but they do have an English menu.My favourite is the pizza margherita...it has the classic Roman crust: paper thin and at the same time flimsy and crispy so it bends into a perfect crunchy cheese envelope for your enjoyment....It's the best ever. They have amazing frites (fried appetizers) as well but it is the pizzas that make my heart melt. AMAZING.....if you are in Rome and craving pizzas, look no further....just head here and get ready to have your mind blown. Best Pizza ever!

Yelp
This surely is the best pizza I have ever eaten - and trust me; I have eaten lots of pizza. From New York to Copenhagen, from London to Bangkok. This place combines an amazing thin-crust pizza with the most charming Roman atmosphere. Seriously, can you ask for more? Not really. Service may be a bit on the harder side, but it is all contributing to the charming atmosphere. I especially liked the Remo pizza with aubergine, but the margherita with buffalo mozzarella was equally amazing. Go here and eat the best pizza ever.

Yelp
Haaa laughing at all reviews complaining about the "bad" service" so I visit this place back in 2006. Turns out a friend of mine is in Rome and I was thinking if this place was still open , by looking at the pictures i can tell you this looks exactly the same, we found this place by luck and omg I still can remember the great flavor of this thin , crusty pizza , I ordered fungus. About the service, the waiter threw the menu on our table as well as the pencils to mark down our order , we felt it was rude but soon realize it's kinda like their tradition. So we started laughing. As soon as we were done with the food we ordered more beers, then the cook was yelling the waiter because there was a huge line waiting outside so he suggest we would drink all the bottle in one sitting haha. After 13 years looks like they stick to their tradition!

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend came here after reading great reviews about the pizza but were greatly disappointed by both the service and the food. The pizza was mediocre and a bit burnt as well--I have definitely had much better pizza in other countries in Europe and even Los Angeles, which is not known for its pizza. I find it baffling that many people say this is the best pizza in Rome, but I wouldn't have left a bad review if it weren't for the incredibly rude waiters. After having a long day walking around the city, we ordered a coffee with our pizza to wake us up, only to have the waiter ask us where we're from and laugh in our face when we said LA. He then gave my boyfriend a condescending pat on the back and said "Here in Italy, we have coffee after our meal. Pizza goes with wine or soda, just so you Americans know." He continued to be condescending the rest of our time there, clearly laughing about us and complaining in Italian to the other waiters, who also had very little patience for Americans. It's understandable why Europeans can dislike Americans sometimes, but it's uncalled for to be disrespectful to people who are minding their own business and just trying to have a good meal, not to mention supporting a local business.

Yelp
The pizza is as disappointing as the service. Heard great reviews and came to this pizzaria only to be mistreated and to eat soggy tasteless pizza. When we asked for the check, the waiter because angry because we did not have cash (nowhere did it say on the premises we had to pay in cash). And as we left he made jokes about us Americans to the other people around us. We have had much better pizza down the street at Il Grottino, go there for great food and great service instead.

Yelp
The epitome of Roman pizza. Professional food reviewers call this the best of Roma. Yep. Simply put, you eat this, you will NEVER be able to eat an American pizza again. The crust, a couple of millimeters thick, blistered, charred. Hints of bitter smoke from the wood burning oven. Crisp and a little burnt on the edges. Incredible chew similar to Indian naan through the middle. Add a mind blowing, intensely flavored, sweet and acidic tomato purée, milky fresh mozzarella, egg plant, mushrooms, sweet, intense fennel flavored house made pork sausage with whips of aged umami goodness, whatever else. Served steaming and bubbling. Perfect. Maybe the minerals in the water, the yeast, the wheat, milling of the flour, the type of hard wood charcoal, the sun ripened tomatoes, whatever. Bottom line, this pizza is a singular experience that cannot be duplicated. Utilitarian décor. Paper table coverings. Close tables. Very friendly service. Everything you expect from a place that focuses more on the pizza than anything else. Packed with locals. Tourist are not tolerated if you don't try to fit in (spread your own paper table covering, don't try to customize the pizza, EAT YOUR PIZZA WITH A FORK AND KNIFE, serve yourself water and wine, and have a great time interacting with fellow diners). Dinner only. Reservations not accepted. A short 15 minute wait at 9:30pm on a weekday. Very little English. Be sure to know your Italian pizza terminology before you go. Attempt to communicate in Italian. It will go a long way to improving the service. Simple, correct house wine. Inexpensive and very memorable meal for around €10 per person.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this restaurant in Rome. It was nearby our hotel and I liked the clean modern look of the place. It is not a pizza joint, much nicer. I had a HUGE delicious calzone with a few glasses of their house red wine and my husband had the meat lovers pizza. We both agreed it was the best pizza we had during our time in Italy and the prices were reasonable. I definitely recommend.

Yelp
Wauw....can't say anything bad about the food but what a difference between treatment and treatment. the ''big' boss tonight had a 2 problems tonight: 1. Our table of 4 wanted to finish our wine and 2. Everybody had cash but me so I wanted to pay the full bill with my card.....the abuse that was thrown at me....unbelievable :-( i have been in rome for 5 years and sorry but everybody else in Europe uses their card! Also there is a way and a way to ask me to pay cash and the words this 'pizzeria' chose to use tonight is not what you use to ask your clients to pay in cash.....shame shame shame, because the pizza is really good but I will never recommend it again to anybody! The 'big' boss was happy to see our Roman friend again but for hardworking foreigners in Rome don't expect the same respect!

Yelp
We got a recommendation for the Remo Trattoria from a local citizen. He told us that they offer one of the best Pizza in Rome. He was absolutely right - it was Excellent!
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Oh man the pizza here is so good! The crust is super thin, but it holds up the ingredients quite well (a bit soggy towards the middle, but it doesn't break apart). To eat, I was given a piece of paper, I suppose because the pizza is bigger than the plate! I was also given a knife and fork to eat the pizza with. I ordered the house special, which has sausage, mushrooms, and eggplant. It was delicious! I loved every bite of it, and I would recommend it! The location is somewhat inconvenient because it's not really near any of the main attractions, but it's a bus ride away from the Colosseum and is definitely worth going to if you're not on a time crunch!
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
The best pizza I ever had? Don't think so. Was it great. Absolutely. Funny, aggressive waiter. Very entertaining. The pizza is razor thin and not at all soggy. For purists, stick with the basic margarita. The best of the four we had. If you like anchovies, the zucchini flower and anchovy was very good but not for everyone. The other dishes, like eggplant parmesan, are very good as well. Inexpensive as well. Cash only. Give it a try. Lots of locals and the real deal.

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying I'm a New Haven, CT native so I was raised on Pepe's Pizza. Trust me, I know good pizza when I taste it. I'd even venture to say I know it when I smell it. And, man, does this place have it. I truly never thought I'd encounter a pizza that rivaled my beloved Pepe's but Da Remo is right up there contending for my heart (or arteries). Ravenous, a girlfriend and I came early on Monday evening to ensure we'd be seated immediately (this place gets bumpin' as the night goes on). I ordered the pizza bianche with salmon and she had the pizza with sausage. Your heard that right, we had a pizza each to ourselves. I have no regrets. Both pies were brought out promptly with a liter of house red wine we'd ordered not 5 minutes prior. This place knows efficiency. The pizzas were extremely thin crust but did not skimp on cheese or topping. Even more miraculous was that the bottoms of the pies somehow had not been blackened, which can be typical with thin crusts. Those men working the oven really know their way around a pie. Everything was fresh, bursting with flavor, and the atmosphere was very casual and family style. I think tourists and locals alike would agree that Da Remo is the place to go if you're jonesing for a cheap meal that satisfies. Deliziosa!
google avatar

Sabrina A.

Yelp
Why haven't any pizza failed me so far in Rome?? I loooooove Remo! Thin crispy cooked in a wood burning oven type of pizza. This is a locals spot and not many tourists go there, now that's always a good sign of a great restaurant! It's very casual, indoor/outdoor pizzeria. Service is great! But now, let's talk about their pizza! No menu in English, so ask your Italian friend, or waiter to translate everything b/c you dont want to miss out on any pizza topping. They have a variety of white and red pizza to choose from. It tastes AMAAAAAZING. We started off dinner by ordering a Suppli which is a fried roll stuffed with rice and ragu meat. Good lord it was delicious! We also ordered some bruschetta which is much better than the bruschetta's they serve in other countires. Here you get the authentic Roman food! You must go to this place! Yelp
This is the besta pizza pie that I've had while in Italy! (Sorry...I can't resist. No offense intended). It's the crisp yet snappy, chewy crust that really does it for me. The great bits of char on the crust make it so flavorful. And, the ingredients are super, super fresh. A liter of average, chilled red house wine, three pizzas, a fried rice ball, a fried zuhinni flower stuffed with some sort of anchovy and ricotta and a large bottle of water for 40€! Great service in this neighborhood hotspot to boot. I am a fan.
google avatar

Lila C.

Yelp
The pizza here is thin crust and the service is typical Roman. Judging this place against any other type of pizza or level of service would be unfair. That being said: -the pizza was delicious, I ordered the Diavola and my friend got the margherita con bufala. both were well made with fresh ingredients and evenly cooked -prices are a good value for the quality of food and location; you could do a whole lot worse in the city center for both quality and price -don't expect waiters fawning all over you. wait for a table sit down, fill out the paper menu, and know that you will receive your food when your server deems it so

Merdan M.

Yelp
If you are looking to experience some of the best traditional Roman pizza and a truly authentic atmosphere, this is the place. Be prepared to test your Italian language skills, as the stuff will likely not speak English. The place is super popular, so expect to wait a few minutes before being seated. House wine is great too!

Javier A.

Yelp
Authentic Italian Pizza. I have been eating in Rome for the past 6 days and this has definitely been the best place. Prices are very affordable and the size of the dishes is quite substantial.
google avatar

Hugh A.

Yelp
Even though the pizza was a bit burnt, the sausage was so good that we did not care. Again, service in Testaccio for non-Italian-speakers was less than stellar, but with a bit of perseverence, we got a table and enjoyed a jug of wine and amazing sausage pizza!

Izzy E.

Yelp
Customer service is terrible and the food is okay there are so many other pizzerias that are way better in Rome. Will not be back because of the aloofness of the workers and the disgusted eye rolls. don't waste your time going here it's not worth it. Very disappointed considering it had decent reviews and is in a decent location
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
The great reviews about this place are correct. Staff and most of the clientele spoke little to no English, almost all locals. Wood fired, burnt edges, thin crust. What's not to love. Great food and great staff.
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
Great Italian atmosphere and cheap! Such deliciously thin crust pizza that you have to eat with fork. Suppli is the best I have had in Rome.

Yelp
After being slightly underwhelmed with Neopolitan pizza (crust not crispy enough, too soft in the middle for our taste), we decided to give Da Remo a go, and I'm so glad we did! We came on a Wednesday night, no booking, and got one of the last available tables around 8:30 pm. It's a crowded and busy place, where the servers run around like crazy to serve everyone. They won't pay much attention to you, so waving them down is an effort, but if you have what you need, relax and enjoy the pizza. From our streetside table, I enjoyed the house red wine and a starter of lovely, homey, simple beans and vegetables. The high-quality olive oil on the beans elevates the peasant-style dish, and it had us swearing to start cooking more beans from scratch when we got back home. While I certainly won't be able to remember what pizzas we had (I know mine had lovely, briny anchovies on. The Ninja Turtles would've hated it). I do remember that the crust was crispy from the outside to the center, and made a delightful crackle in your mouth - JUST the way we like it. Sorry Naples, you gotta cook it a little bit more. We really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce, the light fresh toppings, and the crust was perfect. Took ages to get someone's attention to get the bill, but why not linger? If the crowds waiting don't glare at you. Oh, the ordering process is a bit weird. They give you a menu, and a card with a pencil. You have to check off what you want on the card, then just hand it to a waiter. It's actually easy, but nobody explains it, so you feel a bit unsure. Just see what all the locals around you are doing if you're confused.

Yelp
How can I start this review. We went here July 2017 and it was the worst experience of all in any restaurant waiting for SO CALL ORIGINAL ITALIAN PIZZA. WRONG decision ever. We were hungry and looking for a place with original food choice and close to our hotel. Well, our trip of buying good food was not well at all. We arrived and the place had no place to seat. We asked if we can get food to go they said yes so we order three pizzas, mozzarella cheese and tomato with basil, and prosciutto and melon. They said will be done in 10 mins...well we waited for 50 mins for OUR SIMPLE ORDER TO BE DONE. We regretted not asking for refund and leave. It was ridiculous to wait for pizza that long. The guy that was greeting the customers was not a good host or welcomer. He knew we were waiting. I keep coming inside to check our order and NO ONE NO ONE Cared to help us. Italian people need some kind of better service or at least knowledge YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO PAY FOR YOU TO KEEP HAVING A JOB. Never again going to this place in our next vacation. And for your information Italian Pizza is not good at all saggy and burn on top of it. Pizzeria Remo You need help seriously. In my country PIZZA is the best

Yelp
Got the Pizza Remo. Very very soggy crust. I peeled part of it off and left it on the plate. Last time i got buffalo mozzarella and loved it so dragged my new husband there tonight. So disappointed. Not sure if I'll come back

Yelp
Came here during a vacation to Rome a couple weeks ago, based on seeing this pizza place at the top of almost every top 10 Roman pizza list online. When we arrived, it was pretty intimidating to see about 50 locals standing around outside waiting to be seated. This place was strictly locals only as it's not really near any tourist attractions. It took about an hour and we were finally seated. I ordered a prosciutto pizza and my wife ordered a mushroom pizza. I have to say I was pretty underwhelmed as the pizzas weren't that flavorful. They were decent, but not what I expected from one of the highest rated pizza places in the city. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here.

Yelp
Everyone in Rome seems to have a pizzeria they would claim is the best in town. Based on the crowds found waiting for a table, Remo has lots of fans. While not my personal neighborhood favorite, the pizza is very good, even if they don't offer my standby 4 cheese dish. Good green and the pasta is good as well. Outdoor seating during the warmer months overlooks a nice, small piazza. All in all, a good place.

Yelp
My husband and I are visiting from LA and we were expecting to find mind blowing pizza in Rome. So ... we did an online search and found Da Remo. Took us about 45 minutes to get here via metro/walking. We were seated right away, not much wait at the time. We ordered the bufala mozzarella margherita and the mushroom. Neither were anything special. A great pizza should have a kick-ass sauce and this one had no flavor. Let's put it this way, I've had better at CPK. If you're in the area, try it out. But in my opinion, wasn't worth the trip. At the end, about 5 min after paying the bill, the waiter told us to hurry up and leave because he has other people waiting, and indeed he did. Not cool though. Best pizza I've had so far is Pullino's in Soho NYC. If a pizza can beat that, then it's awesome. This one didn't even come close.

Yelp
Some of the best pizza I have ever had (really thin base). It was a real Italian experience. The staff were loud and friendly. It is not modern but has a great atmosphere. The fries are ok nothing special but it's all about the pizza here.
