Pizzeria Verità

Our first visit to Vermont and we checked this pizzeria out before our trip. So very glad we stopped in. Our server Guin was outstanding and gave great recommendations!! From the Caprese salad and Salsiccia E Funghi pizza with Hot Honey to the Panna Cotta and Olive Oil Cake! So delicious!! You will not be disappointed! A must go to in Burlington!!!

We stopped by Pizzeria Verità and were blown away by how good the pizza was! My husband and I started with the Caesar salad, then ordered the Ring of Fire pizza along with another pizza topped with roasted chicken and pesto (I can’t remember the exact name). Both pizzas were incredible—so flavorful and perfectly cooked. My only minor note is that the Ring of Fire had way more Calabrese peppers than expected—it wasn’t just a little heat, it was a lot! We ended up removing some, but it was still delicious overall. We wish we had room to try more from their menu, but we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Vermont!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Burlington. The food and service are always great. I highly recommend the Caesar salad and fresh mozzarella. I always get the pepperoni pizza and it hits every time. Their cocktails are also amazing- I’d say they make the best spicy margarita around here.

Staff was super welcoming and accommodating. The napoletano style crust is the real deal and have to applaud the quality of it. Pizza was tasty, I like that local ingredients are used and they make their own fior di latte. The inside looks lovely, but quite dark. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day, the outside eating area could be nicer for the quality restaurant that they are. Would return!

This place was absolutely amazing from start to finish. My server Emma P was nice, helpful, attentive, and had great recommendations. I got the caprese salad which is seasonal but if they have it please order it. It was out of this world! I also got the Mais pizza which was also great. This place is highly recommended.

Good Neopolitan Pizza in downtown Burlington. The Caesar salad with white anchovies is a great starter. The Fig E Gorgonzola with prosciutto and the Ring of Fire with pepperoni had great flavor and crust was nice and crispy.

Playing with pizza dough while waiting for the food was such a win — my kid was entertained, happy, and we got to enjoy the moment without the “when is the pizza coming?” Best idea a pizzeria could ever have!

Classic Neapolitan style pizzas. Flavors were amazing! We ordered the Mais pizza and the Nduja pizza. The Mais has speck, which was delicious and a good pairing with the corn. The Nduja was spicy and flavorful, I just wish they had put more of it in the pizza. Overall, great service, inviting atmosphere and good food. I'd definitely come back!

This might have been my favorite dinner on our recent trip to Burlington! In short - you should go. First: delicious cocktails. Second: Gluten free pizza. Third: AMAZING gluten free pizza. Fourth: Adorable space that perfectly bridges casual with a fun night out. Fifth: Great, friendly service. We came up with our own concoction using one of their pizzas as a base and adding ingredients to our hearts' content. Gosh it was good. I don't remember what all we put on there but our server said he was going to have the same thing for dinner that night. I hope he enjoyed it as much as we did!! This gf crust is one of the best I've had. It really feels like a true Neapolitan style crust. You'd never know it's gluten free. Again, visit this restaurant and just order whatever. I have no doubt it will be excellent! We'll be back!

Worst pizza ever and uncomfortable server. Soggy crust. We sent first pizza back and second wasn't any better. Too bad because we were here about 4 years ago and it was really good.

It's impossible to have a bad meal or poor service here. The food is seriously to die for and the service is beyond excellent. We ordered the pizza of the day, a white sauce pizza with chanterelles and truffle oil. Was divine. The Margherita was equally excellent. For dessert, we got the dessert pizza, a tiramisu and the cannoli. Best tiramisu I've ever eaten. The dessert pizza with Nutella was amazing. Service was stellar. It's well worth every penny to eat here.

Terrific! A recommendation from a mutual acquaintance inn Delmar, NY insisted and I'm glad she did. The kitchen work on hand was fascinating. The service ELIZA was prompt, polite and professional. I love a fancy pizza.

Ambiance and service were great! Pizza was good as well, 2-for-1 Margherita deal on Wednesdays is nice.

This was our second time dining at Pizzaria Verita. We enjoyed it in the fall when visiting our UVM student, so we wanted to try it again. We had an 8pm reservation, but our 6:30 flight from DC to Burly was late! We had our daughter call to say we would be about 15 min late. Well, upon arrival, bags took a bit longer than expected. We didn't get to the restaurant until 9. I hopped out to see if they still had space for us. The lovely hostess told me they had indeed saved our spot!! We were so excited! We started with the fresh mozzarella which is always delicious, and the meatballs that are to die for. I had the Bianca, which was so good and the prosciutto and arugula was a great combo. My family is boring, they had the margherita pizza and the pepperoni. Service and food was a even better than we remembered! This will definitely continue to be our go to place in Burly.

Food and drinks were delicious and the staff was great. For drinks my friend got a glass of red wine and I had the Botticelli's Daughter (Prosecco, grapefruit and a few other things that were so refreshing!). For an appetizer we had the meatballs (polpette), which were delicious. We ordered the Rucola Pizza with prosciutto cooked into it, which was amazing and we would highly recommend. We finished off our night with some yummy tiramisu and an espresso, which was a perfect ending to our meal! Lastly decor/ambiance is nice and would be good for a date or catching up with friends and family.

Made a reservation for our one and only night in Burlington last weekend. We had been traveling all day and went around a half hour early with growling stomachs. It was no problem at all and the friendly hostess sat us quickly. We were seated next to a large open window overlooking the street- perfect weather for this and we enjoyed the view. We loved the look and decorations in the restaurant and thought it had a great Italian vibe. Our waitress was also friendly and genuinely cared about why we were in town. She visited with us for a while and followed up with being quick with drinks. My stepdaughter got a fancy nonalcoholic green tea drink that had lime in it- tart and refreshing. I ordered the sparkling rose and had two of those- delicious! Let me start this by saying we were very hungry- and our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! Caesar salad with anchovies on the side, bread with dipping oil, and olives, cheese, and prosciutto. All very tasty. The bread was a perfect mix between soft and crusty- love that. We then ordered three pizzas. This was an over order- but we had leftovers for lunch the next day. We did a spicy pie, an arugula topped mozzarella, and a white burrata. The flavors were amazing and we were super stuffed.

Amazing service and great food. Started with a round of drinks and cheese board that had 3 different cheeses, fig jam, olives & Focaccia bread. It was amazing and plenty. We split a Beet Salad & Saisage and Broccoli rabe pizza. Everything was great! Ended with a Tiramisu (no pic). Highly recommend. INSALATA COLORATA roasted tri-colored beets, avocado, microgreens, citrus vinaigrette SALSICCIA E RAPINI tomatoes, house-made Vermont sausage, fior di latte, broccoli rabe, grana padano, fresh basil, evoo TIRAMISU layers of espresso and rum-dipped biscotti and mascarpone custard

Visited Pizzeria Verità for the first time last night and was blown away. The food was delicious and the service was great (Manny was our server), but what really blew me away was the portion sizes. I'm so used to a $13 salad being a side salad with a single piece of lettuce and half a crouton, but the Amalfi salad was enormous and full of flavor! The create your own antipasti was also a ton of food - we chose 5 items and it was almost too much! The pizzas was very good, as well. They weren't as enormous as the other items, but tasted great. The fig & gorgonzola 'za was my favorite. I will definitely be back!

Really good pizza - the sauce, cheese, meat and seasoning is simple and high quality. My cocktail was a bit too sweet for my liking, but they had a good selection of wine and beers. The service was stoner-spacey, the server tried to bring us another table's food twice and he forgot my friend's cocktail. Space was nice, but it was very stuffy when we went and you couldn't feel the A/C, which would have been nice since it was in the high 80's. Overall it hit the spot for what I look for in a wood fired neopolitan pie, will definitely return when I'm back in Burlington.

This Is now my favorite place to eat in Burlington. We sat at the bar and had excellent service by both bartenders. The wine was very good - 2019 Mara Valpolicella Ripasso - and reasonably priced. We shared the Salsiccia E Funghi pizza with the spicy sausage - more than enough for two people. This is one of the most flavorful pizzas I have ever had! We also enjoyed the atmosphere here - fun, relaxed and the right kind of music. Thanks for a great dining experience! We will be back!

EXCELLENT spot for neo pizzas... Pizza Bianca was delish, and the Ring of Fire was an awesome spicy upgrade over your usual marg pizza! Service was friendly and the BEST part of our evening was sitting at the pizza bar and watching the pros do their thing in and out of the wood fired oven. Staff was great, food was awesome - will DEFINITELY come back again!

10/10, the food, service, ambiance was phenomenal! We got the fresh mozzarella, focaccia, 4 cheese pizza, and the maise pizza. Everything was so good, I will definitely visit again when I am on the area, I can't recommend this place enough. We went with our 3 boys and had a great time.

Great staff. Love the menu. Neighborhood like Night of the Living Dead on Saturday Night with concert at The Flynn. John raise the temp on the deck of the oven. Center bottom too soft. Asked for well done/crispy and was charred but not crisp....

Who knew that the best meal we have had in months would come at a pizza place? Wow. From the moment we walked in, we felt valued. There was a 45 minute wait, but while we were sitting the manager, Brittany, walked over with the cocktail menu and helped us choose from a very impressive list of specialty cocktails. I got a specialty Manhattan as well as a chèvre infused gin, ginger and lime beauty. Our server Eliza was equally sweet. We ordered two gluten free pizzas. Being from Florida, we expected cardboard crusts a fraction of the size if the regular pies. When our our pies arrived (one of them the special) we were so blown away by the soft, chewy, risen crust, that we asked the manager for confirmation that they were gluten free. Brittany told us the dough was imported from Italy. One pie had locally cured pepperoni and homemade mozzarella and the other had an award winning bleu cheese. It was amazing. Yeah. Sorry if this review is so sappy and gushy but they deserve it. We WILL be back, Pizzaria Verita, even if we have to buy a condo up here to do it!

I had the pepperoni pizza with hot honey. The pizza was off the chain, and the hot honey gave the pizza a fantabulous flavor. The texture of the crust was perfect, and the pizza sauce was delicious. For my beverage, I ordered the nonalcoholic "I'll text you later" and "east Indiaca" drinks, which respectively had wonderful taste with a nice bouquet of mint leaves as a garnish. The ambiance was very lively, and the servers were very responsive and friendly. For dessert, I hand the sensationally delicious budino. One of the best pizzas I've had in the state of Vermont; I will definitely return to explore other entrées on the menu.

Fantastic decor, menu, and service. A cut above and prices are reasonable. Seems to fit any night out - from romance to family to foodie.

Ordered delivery. 2 pizzas both showed up cold and completely burned on the edges and bottom. I love a little char...but the whole crust tasted like an ashtray. Would not recommend.

My absolute favorite Neapolitan style pizza! The staff is always friendly, attentive, and accommodating and the food is consistently superb. Many of my siblings have small children and the staff always go out of their way to make the night special for everyone, even giving the kids dough to play with at the table. I have tried Neapolitan style pizza from many other restaurants in other cities and can say that nothing has beaten Pizzeria Veritá yet.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Burlington! Any time I plan a visit to VT, I am sure to make a dinner reservation here. The food is excellent, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. My favorite items off the menu: 1) Brooklyn to Burlington cocktail (thank you Harrison for suggesting it, it is now my favorite drink from anywhere ever, must-try if you love bourbon!), 2) Colorata salad (not usually a fan of beets, but these are so tasty and the dressing is superb!), 3) Ring of Fire pizza (the peppers add the perfect kick and you will be dreaming about this pizza!). I cannot recommend this establishment enough!!!

Great noepolitan spot, only one in the area. All fresh ingredients, good drinks, and probably best service in the area.

Had dinner here recently. Our server, Michelle, was wonderful. The pizza is expensive, and although it is tasty it is often soggy even when asking for it to be well done. The focaccia is delicious and I would recommend the anti pasta plate.

Looking up this place we thought "huh. Cool vibes looks like good pizza". More like some of the best pizza we ever had! The Maiz pizza was A-Maiz-ing (sorry that was corny..... as was that) and my girlfriend went crazy for the butternut squash pizza (made much better with speck addition). Fresh mozzarella is a must. The tiramisu, for someone who doesn't really love tiramisu was fire. And the service was fantastic. Big shout out to Lauren at the bar for making our experience awesome!

The menu is mostly pizza, but that's fine with me, it's great pizza. I don't know if it fits a specific style, thin crust in the middle, with a soft fluffy edge (is that New York style? I don't know). Sauce, cheese, and toppings, all great, and the leftovers reheated well the next day. I also had the meatball appetizer, which was good as well. Didn't stay for dessert but the options looked quite good.

What a pleasant night! I'm visiting Burlington and saw this restaurant had good reviews and it did not disappoint! Everything we ate was flavor packed. We started with the amalfi salad and the dressing so lemony and really packed a punch. We ordered the pizza a little crispy and per our server Sam's recommendation we tried to the pizza with cherries! It was so good and not what you would expect at all. We ended the night with tiramisu and it was really great. Sam our server was so sweet and gave us a great recommendations for nearby spots. I will definitely be coming back

After eating the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever had earlier this year (in R.I. earlier this year), I was eager to try it again. We went on a Wednesday night, when they have a special offer: buy one Margherita pizza, get the 2nd free. So, that's what we did. We each got the rocket salad first, and it was delicious. The pizza was good, but not amazing. I won't give up on this place best on that though. The service was great, despite it being very busy, and it was clean. There was a bustling, warm atmosphere.

A tad dark inside but the food is excellent. Pricey so be prepared. Excellent service!

AMAZING experience. Service was great, atmosphere was lovely too. I had the best pizza i had ever had. The variety of choices was great and all the options were choices I had never seen before. It's rare to find a place that offers such variety especially for pizza. The drinks, appetizers and deserts were all on par.

Excellent food and service. I actually was intending to go to American flatbread and it was closed that night so I went on Yelp to look for another pizza place as I was now in the mood for it. I am so happy I ended up going here. My waitress was super friendly and gave great service. I ordered the Mais pizza with corn, fior di latte, and a thick ham. The dough on the pizza was the best part as it was thick and fluffy. Absolutely delicious! I also got the mozzarella app from the yelp check in and it was SOOOO GOOD. If you are reading this, make sure to check in and get one. I would absolutely recommend the spot to anyone in Burlington and will return if I come back.

This place is amazing from Insalate to the Pizze Napoletana. It's a must when dining in Burlington VT.

If you love pizza, this is a GREAT dinner spot. We walked in without reservations on a Friday evening and the hostess squeezed us in. We're so glad she did! We ordered two pizzas- a seasonal vegetable one and a pizza with sweet corn on it. Wow. Both were out of this world with the best chewy crust. Their drink menu is huge and they have a great negroni and marg! The service was amazing as well!

This review needs to start with a little about me: I live in the greater New Haven CT area, I built my own brick wood fired pizza oven, and I make Neapolitan style pizza with slow-fermented FWSY dough and fresh ingredients. But I'm visiting in Burlington, where I grew up. And my memory of pizza growing up was, let's say, not good. Verita caught my eye on a Sunday evening. And it was heaven to find a place where ingredients and methods rise to a high level when no one is watching (literally -- this was Super Bowl Sunday). The Colorata salad combined three kinds of roasted beets, avocado, and a vinaigrette; each beet had a particular flavor to add to the mix. Mmmm. The Capricciosa pizza had an authentic Neapolitan crust, with aromas more of fermented dough than of yeast. It was nicely blistered, and it was still elastic. The menu advises that the crust turns out a little "soft" and that it can be made more crispy on request. I'd recommend that for this particular pie, as the heirloom grape tomatoes made the center points a bit soggy and droopy. But this is a quibble. The generous Negroni was a nice prelude to a wonderfully composed dinner.

I live next to the building, and have lived there for over 6 months. The restaurant has outdoor speakers that play loud music at night, even past 10PM which is against the local noise ordinances. I contacted them by email over the winter, because their patio was closed and they were still playing the music outside after 10PM, thoughtlessly. Nothing changed. They emailed me back and said they would work on it. Every night it is the same, especially now that their patio is open. Last night the music was on almost all night - I had a fan in my room, my bathroom fan, and ambient music and could still not drown it out. It is seriously effecting my sleep. I'm considering calling the police next time as they are not responsive to email or phone calls. Overall I am extremely displeased with this establishment, they are not playing the role of a friendly and responsive neighbor business, routinely break the city sound ordinances, and are (in my eyes) a blemish on the downtown business culture. Do not patronize this establishment and convince yourself you are supporting a worthwhile local business. The food is passable, definitely expensive for meals and drinks, overpriced for what is offered in my book. Pizza is good, but how hard is that to mess up?

Best pizza place hands down in Vermont. Such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the owner, John, is so kind and so knowledgeable about the pizza. He imports his flour from Italy. The pizza is very thin and the crust is always crispy. Start with their housemade fior di latte (mozzarella) with caramelized onions and prosciutto (my mouth is watering just writing this), then the rucola and maiz and then of course end with the Nutella pizza. Would eat here every night if I could!! The pizza in the photo was a special with ricotta, spiced honey and edible flowers

Very nice Italian place! We had Negroni and Rose (Rosato) for drink. We ordered a couple of Antipasti - fresh Mozzarella was really good - very fresh. Meatballs (beef + pork) were good too, and loved olives (pits inside - Italian style!) There were so many menu items that looked so good, but we couldn't eat them all (so we are visiting again today!). After these Antipasti, we were already almost full. Ordered Margherita for main dish, couldn't finish the whole pizza but had to order some desserts. I got espresso and we ordered PIZZA ALLA NUTELLA - it was big enough for 4-6 people to share. The atmosphere was good and our server, Harrison was friendly as well. We are visiting here again to try out other pizzas and remember not to order so many antipasti items.. but I am not sure if I can manage to do that. :D Highly recommend this place!

Pizzeria Verita's mobile pizza oven contributed to a truly exceptional dinner for our wedding. The pizzas were a huge hit with our guests and were served hot and fresh, the apps were all excellent and ordered in the perfect quantities thanks to their guidance, and the service was spot-on. The Festa Festa package included everything we needed, and they were able to accommodate all of our guests dietary restrictions with no issues at all. They were incredibly helpful with our planning process and very easy to interact with throughout. We would have no hesitation recommending PV to anyone for their wedding dinner!

Stopped in here on our first night in Burlington. Had a great experience. The ambiance is spot on, with a warm feeling and beautiful bar and table area. Staff was extremely attentive and pleasant. I ordered a craft beer and my wife got a cocktail. Both were very good. As for food we ordered the meatballs, which were good but little lacking on flavor. I'd give them a 6.7. We also got a margarita brick over pizza. We should have asked for extra crispy (which was an option on menu) because it was a bit too soft for my liking, but the crust and freshness of it was fantastic. I'd give it a 7.2. The dessert was the best part. We really acted like fat fucks and ordered the Nutella pizza. It was EXCELLENT. Amazing flavor and perfectly sweet. Tasted like a fried dough. Would certainly be back and might revisit in the next two weeks while we are up here. A great gem in Burlington.

We had a very enjoyable experience at Pizzeria Verita on a Friday night. We arrived at the restaurant about 6 without a reservation. Luckily, we were able to get a table immediately. Service was great as were the pizzas -- marguerita and arugula. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed observing the pizza making process. We will return the next time we're in Burlington.

Recommend this restaurant to everyone! Amazing atmosphere, delicious and consistent food, great service, and reasonable prices! Everything we had was wonderful and our waitress was excellent! My sister has severe food allergies (anaphylactic) and we felt incredibly welcomed and accommodated here! The staff was attentive and kind and the pizza was some of the best I have ever had!

Wow! The food and service here are amazing, but the cocktails are the real stars. My table got the Brooklyn to burlington, ganked again and et, tu bruto. The et tu, bruto was my favorite. Yum yum yum!!!

The service was exceptional, the vibe was fun and cozy, the waiters were all friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu, and the appetizers were all incredible. The fior di latte is made in house and comes with their scratch made Focaccia. Both the cheese, and the bread are INCREDIBLE. The meatballs are also very good- but not life changing. The pizza is honestly the only thing that wasnt great. We got 2 pizzas, and on both of them, the dough was raw in the center. Im not sure if it was an off night with the oven. But it was a bit disappointing. I went here to celebrate my birthday and other than the pizza, had a great time.
