The Best Takeout & Delivery In SF We Got This Week - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The Bay Area’s pizza slice shop game is lacking, at best. To which I say, sure, but great ones do exist. You just have to know where to find them. So when I want a quick-hit slice, I head to everything from Golden Boy Pizza for fluffy focaccia squares to (I’m not afraid to admit) Nazario’s on cocktail-fueled nights for an overly bready slice of pepperoni. Across the bay, Rotten City and Graffiti Pizza are standbys, and now Violetta joins the list. This Piedmont Avenue spot took over the space formerly occupied by Slicer (which closed last year), and makes thin crust pies that are not quite Neapolitan, and not quite New York style, but are dedicated to high-quality ingredients. If the Sweet Little Pig with pepperoni and candied bacon combination arr on the menu, get it. It’s the runaway hit. - Lani Conway, Senior Editor" - Julia Chen 1, Lani Conway

Absolutely swinging for the fences, this small pizzeria, in Oakland's cemetery-adjacent Piedmont neighborhood, is now my new favorite Oakland Pizza. With a slice, perfectly calibrating flat dough crunch, with a chewy delicious after effect, sauce that is perfectly acidic and just a tad naturally sweet, and with high temperature cheese melted perfectly in an actual pizza oven, (you'd be surprised at a lot of places don't really have a new york-style pizza oven, it's a thing) these slices are 10 out of 10 for flavor, texture, and presentation. Cannot speak highly enough of this local Pizzeria. Querying Jonathan, the Pizza Chef, (as I am known to do) it was revealed to me that the dough is allowed to preferment, and is a mix of doughs, perfectly combining the flavor profile of sourdough, with that with a more neutral dough, like a New York slice. Great pizza, great people, great atmosphere, this tiny place represents what to do right about pizza.

Google
I used to be a fan of Slicer at this same spot and Violetta has kept the pizza top notch. Amazing thin NY style pizza. The location is noisy so best for take out.

Google
Good, cheap, creative. I’ve been coming here regularly (once a week or so) for a year and I’m a big fan. They have great pizza and prices, such that this is reliably the cheapest (and one of the best) places on Piedmont to eat. They routinely do specials that are never disappointing, and they have a nice selection of drinks.

Google
Came here for a late lunch around 2 and some of the best fast pizza have had in a long time. The lunch deal is a good value: 2 slices and a drink for ~$12. Clean sleek interior with bar seating around the edge and a big table in the center

Google
excellent 12 dollar two slice and a drink deal! usually like this place but someone on their staff has either not been properly trained to ID for alcohol or was power tripping with me today. this is not the climate to be making mistakes on peoples ID, especially w someone who looks like me. guy asked for a second opinion eventually, after bending my card.

We ordered the margarita and pepperoni pizza. It was absolutely amazing! It is so delicious with the perfect crust. We ordered online at 6:15pm and gave a pick up time of one hour later at 7:15 Pm. It was ready on time. My new favorite pizza spot.

Steve Guttbinder

Google
A delicious slice, but lacks the charm of a neighborhood ‘pizza joint’ - it’s pretty much a take out spot in terms of atmosphere. It’s also expensive compared to any other pizzeria that serves by the slice - but there aren’t many of those these days so they don’t get dinged for that. They could use a menu update to highlight their relatively good deal of “2 slices and a canned soda or lemonade” to say “ANY two slices…” as it includes their ‘premium’ slices which is everything except for a cheese slice - which could also use a wording and design update to their in-store menu.

Google
June 2025: Very good lunch specials and usual great service. Fall 2024: Ordered online to take out. Pizza was ready on time, delicious and larger than expected. Pick up was fairly quick. Parking to scoot in took 2 minutes and some thought.

Yelp
Pizzeria Violetta is one of 7 food/drink vendors in Prescott Market Hall. They occupy one of the 2 private rooms in the back. Decor minimal., Expertise is New York-inspired pizza using organic flour, natural ingredients & fermenting dough for 48 hours Service wasn't quick as ordering routine isn't posted. Attendant wasn't helpful initially. Offerings: pizza, sandwiches, salads, sweets, beers. Drinks... Bites: lunch special (12): soda + 2 slices pizza. -soda: tasty Alameda diet cola...reg. Yelp
Date: 3/1/2025 Time: 1:25 PM 58° Cool I am actually at The Pizzeria Violetta in the Prescott Market Hall in West Oakland. Currently they are a pop up kitchen; however, they will have a brick and mortar set up in the future. I am hungry and undecided as to what I want to order. After perusing the menu, I selected the jumbo chicken wings (1/2 dozen) and an Italian sub sandwich. Total cost: approximately. $34 (tax and tip included). The chicken wings were tossed with a hot honey butter sauce and served with a bleu cheese dipping sauce. I am not a bleu cheese fan. Nix it on that dipping sauce. The wings were freshly prepared, delicious, crispy, flavorful and moist. My brother and I enjoyed them. I could only eat half of the sandwich. It was loaded with an assortment of meats, lettuce, sliced tomato, cheese, etc. Freshly prepared, the sandwich was on point. Prescott Market Hall is not near my home. A future visit will be at the brick and mortar on Piedmont Avenue. The line was long for people ordering food, but the employees move things along smoothly. They certainly did an awesome job and with much pleasantness.

Yelp
The lunch special was a great value. Two slices and a drink for $12! The burrata toast was delish!!! Also loved the mint ginger lemonade. The service was great. Food was ready quickly. They text you when your food is ready so you can walk around and explore while waiting for your food. Sit anywhere you'd like in the market or outside.

Yelp
In between errands a couple weekends ago, I strolled over to this pizza joint for a slice. It was the perfect little lunch on a brisk day! Upon walking up to the counter, the staff member was friendly and patient while I looked over the menu for a bit. Reasonably priced, that slice of pepperoni was tasty and big enough to tide me over 'til dinner. This is a good addition to the Avenue.

Yelp
Pizzeria Violetta is one of my sister and brother-in-law's favorite pizza places in Oakland. They introduced my wife and me to this place. My BIL likes to get pizza by the slice here. This is a locally-owned pizzeria. First, I have to mention that the pictures of the pizzas I saw online looked exactly like what we picked up in person. We got two whole pizzas. They were pretty big at 18 inches each. We had the following: * Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza ($35) - pickled onions, roasted peppers, garlic puree, mint-marinated feta cheese, mozzarella * Sweet Little Pig Pizza ($35) - brown sugar candied bacon, artisan pepperoni, fresh basil, cheese blend, organic housemade tomato sauce. My sister was quite excited about the Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza because it was a seasonal special and we were able to get one before the store sold out. Both pizzas were delicious. They were well made with high-quality ingredients, even topping distribution (with lots of toppings), and super-tasty crusts that were charred just right. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. And the pizzas were filling too. These were among the best pizzas my wife and I have had in the Bay Area. She liked the pizzas so much that she said she wished there was a Pizzeria Violetta back home in Atlanta. On the Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza, the pieces of sausage were savory and gratifying -- they really stood out. I loved the pizza's garlicky flavor. The Sweet Little Pig Pizza was like a classic pizza, but amped up in terms of flavor and satisfaction. It was really good. We also got some condiments to go like Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and chili oil. In addition to creative pizzas, Pizzeria Violetta sells Fiorello's artisan gelato from nearby San Rafael as well as a unique variety of beer, wine, and sake. This business replaced another pizza joint, Slicer, in June 2021. The restaurant is located near the north end of Piedmont Avenue. The space is small and clean with limited indoor seating only. There's a six-top in the center and about a dozen counter-height seats along the storefront and wall. I think most customers get takeout. The folks behind this place named it after their daughter, Violet. Check out Pizzeria Violetta on Instagram at @pizzeria.violetta. https://www.instagram.com/pizzeria.violetta

Yelp
I've been here three times and absolutely loved it! I love that they have gluten-free pizzas and that we don't have to pay an extra $2-5 bucks for the privilege. And the pizza is good. I like their weekly flavors too. The salads are huge and there's enough to share. They are also quite popular, because every time I go, the salad counter is running a little low. I also see that in the app sometimes. I prefer to go inside and see what salads they have. I also like the compostable bowl and lid. Nice touch! I now know how to order gluten-free online so that will make ordering easy. When I go in there, the people behind the counter are very nice and accommodating. I've been lucky enough to find parking whenever I've gone within a few steps and I feel lucky. This is a spot that I try to go to every time I am in the area, which isn't often. They also have decent hours which I appreciate. Some of the places I like to go to in areas like this can close a little early for my taste. Cheeseboard, Arizmendi - put this place is open til 9 and that works for me.

Yelp
I finally got to dropping by after having this on my visit list for a while. I started with a plain cheese slice, still looking for my West Coast sub for Joe's on Carmine St. in Manhattan. I noticed it was a bit thicker than a Joe's slice. It also had less tomato sauce, and the crust didn't crack on the fold. It was still tasty and satisfying. I ordered two more different slices. One was the Sweet Little Pig, a porky combo of pepperoni and bacon. This had more tomato sauce than the plain cheese, which gave it a sweet and tangy taste. The chunks of bacon were hearty and flavorful but over-powered the thin slices of pepperoni. My last slice was the Sausage and Roasted Garlic. I noticed immediately its intoxicating sausage aroma. This was balanced with a potent scent of roasted garlic puree without the pungence of the more common topping of minced garlic. It was fabulous, eliciting its entry in my brain bank as the best sausage slice on file. I do wish they offered glasses of wine or beer. It's either a full bottle or small cans of wine and assorted bottled beer. I tried the can of rose. It was actually from a vineyard in Napa Valley, its legacy origin and crisp body both a surprise and non-surprise. As for dining in, there was just one big table in the center of the shop. Wooden ledges were also fastened against the walls with stools underneath for quick bites of slice before heading home or back to work. The guy manning the register was very friendly and accommodating. Parking on a Sunday night after 7pm was actually plentiful. I may not have found Joe's West. But I did find a great little slice shop with its own delicious character.

Dana C.

Yelp
Nope. No thanks. Born and raised New Yorker and this ain't it. No good and overpriced. Two slices for $11? And they're not even that good?! What turned me off to this place most was the way the woman at the register was talking to the workers behind the register. Talking down to your employees is never OK, I don't care how good you THINK your pizza is.

Yelp
Decent little neighborhood pizza joint. Slice deal was 2 plus a beverage for $12 or whole specialty pies for $35/each. We got the little sweet porker which had pepperoni and candied bacon. We waited and ate it in the pizzeria yet it oddly arrived not very hot just like warm despite waiting 10-15 minutes for what was supposed to have been a hot and fresh pie ?! Unclear what the deal was it should have been piping hot since it was presumably fresh and out of the oven. I wonder if it wasn't. Thus my minus one star. It was good but I was somehow expecting more crunch to the crust and flavor to the sauce. It looked better than it ate. Still searching the local area for a top pie. Not sure this one was it for the price point.
google avatar

Chad M.

Yelp
Middle of the road pizza. Sauce was very plain, crust imo didn't have much flavor. Cheese had a lot of flavor. Definitely no threat to the king Pizza Ponte or the slice prince Mamas Boy.
google avatar

Ty C.

Yelp
Seating is a little limited, but service is friendly and the pizza was tasty. I was being super low key on my birthday and I was in the mood for pizza (like any other day) so I wanted to try a new place. Lots of good looking combos, you can also swing by for a slice (which a lot of people were doing). There is a really good craft beer selection in tall cans in the fridge. A tall boy hazy ipa and pizza, that makes Ty C a happy camper. Stop by and give them a try.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and I think it's a really nice pit spot worth checking out. They offer pizza by the slice which is always a plus! I'd like to see more options but I've only tried the sausage pizza. I like that their sausage is not overly salty like most sausages, It's light and sweet which is so different. I do wish their slices were bigger. They also have tables and counter spaces you can eat at. I enjoy coming here and bringing my food to the tiki bar down the street.

Yelp
Came here twice, last Wednesday and the Thursday of the prior week with my daughter, the pizza here is good made fresh, music is awful just not a fan of what was playing and it felt like cozy, the only problem is the awful attitude the manager had. didn't catch a name but he is white with gray-ish hair. I believed it was just the thursday because everyone has bad days but to come in again and hear the same if not more of his attitude,It's not very pleasant to eat dinner with a young child while you overhear the manager yell at and very harshly mock and criticize the staff over pizza, I'm all for upholding standards and i'm no saint but does such colorful language belong in a pizza place and worse yet a "family style" restaurant, unfortunately I don't think i'll be back due having a sensitive child that gets upset when "people are being mean". Do better in the hospitality department pizzeria violetta

Yelp
The pizza is so yummy. The dough is fresh and has a great taste. They do slices with if you want to mix it up. It's a food hall, so limited seating inside. But a ton of seating throught property, indoors and out. Service has been efficient for my visits. In the words of the Biebs, yummy-yum.

Shardul S.

Yelp
Usually 5 star. Tonight ordered a hot spicy - hardly any calabrian peppers...Basically a pepperoni pizza. Hardly any sausage. Go on a night when they are not busy. 6 stars! Friday night 2 stars.
google avatar

Zenzele S.

Yelp
Really good pizza. I would definitely go back many times!! Good service and great ambiance.

Zachary B.

Yelp
Very good pizza.... Not your everyday chain garbage.... This spot will be a new go to for me

William W.

Yelp
Reasonably priced, delicious, fun pies, good wine selection, quick service? What more could one ask for. Definitely the best to go pizza in the neighborhood. I dined in but there's only bar seats and one big table. So not designed for a sit down dinner. The kale pesto pizza was my favorite but also liked the sweet little pig. Definitely coming back!
google avatar

William G.

Yelp
Saw they had good reviews and I was starving. Pizza by the slice would be quick and easy? Yes. The service was great, but the food was below average. Pizza looked way better than it tasted. Somewhat flavorless. The canned beer wasn't great. The kicker was that it was about 20 degrees hotter in the restaurant than it was outside. Just an uncomfortable vibe with no tvs . The second star is because it the friendly service.
google avatar

Veronica L.

Yelp
Nice and helpful staff. Good selection of pies and salads, an impressive selection of beer, along with sake and wine. It's less crowded on this end of Piedmont Ave so parking is easier. Seating is clean and comfortable with bar and table seating. Kid friendly. We will be back. Thank you!
google avatar

Shreya B.

Yelp
We ordered this pizza for takeout before heading to a concert and I was so impressed by the pizza. There's a lack of good pizza spots in the bay (in my opinion) and I was happy to try this place. The margherita was delicious and it carried out well. I'd be back!
google avatar

Aaron B.

Yelp
Tried the spot for the first time last night and it was fantastic. We ordered two pies, the sweet little pig and the sausage. The dough was thin with nice structure and a good quality flavor. Even after a few hours slices held up well and retained good texture. The sausage pizza was the winner for Me. It has a lovely roasted garlic note throughout which blended perfectly with the tomato, cheese and sausage. I will be back for more! Online ordering was efficient and pie was hot and ready at pick up time. Also offer a great chili oil which complimented the pizza well. Thanks!
google avatar

Lani N.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the combo with the sweet little pig, pepperoni, and lemonade. Don't miss the mint lemonade. The pizza sauce is really flavorful.

Charles S.

Yelp
I always get both their Sausage garlic AND their spring mushroom slices. Very very good! If the store is reading this review, let me suggest you turn the music down. It gets pretty loud sometimes. & sometimes the music is pretty obnoxious.
google avatar

Adrian L.

Yelp
We passed by Violetta a while ago and the aroma was fantastic. I decided to give them a try. They have a nice deal with two slices and a drink for $12. I tried the spicy sauce pizza and also the Mediterranean. By far the Mediterranean was better. It had arugula, feta cheese and olives. It just hit the spot! A specialty slice like these were $5.50 each. The service was good. I'll definitely be back :)

Yelp
I have to admit Jamie W. and I only came here because we were feeling a bit tipsy from the tropical libations we downed at the Kona Club just across the street (review: https://bit.ly/3fkElTV). When I say 'tipsy', I mean we didn't have the wherewithal to eat something beforehand, so the rum and tequila didn't have anything to absorb in our stomachs. That's how this casual pizzeria came in handy. Run by Jonathan and Sarah Ruppert and named for their daughter, this is an order-by-the-slice eatery where six pies were on display behind the lucite. We already knew the "get" slice was the Sweet Little Pig which was topped with pepperoni, basil, and candied bacon (photo: https://bit.ly/3NaV9LB). Slices were $5.25 each, and we both got one. It was tasty though not quite transcendent. The thin crust was right as were the toppings, but it needed more tomato sauce. Our second slices were better - the Mediterranean, which had a more definitive balance of flavors between the tomatoes, red peppers, olives, pickled onions, feta cheese, tomato sauce, and the fresh arugula (photo: https://bit.ly/3N2Ttnr). This was a solid on-the-go pizza place, and most patrons appeared to agree. FOOD - 4 stars...good artisan pizza with fresh ingredients, flavor balances need a bit of work AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...community tables and counters, spacious enough SERVICE - 4 stars...conscientious enough TOTAL - 4 stars.. grab to go is the way to go RELATED - Exploring Piedmont Avenue? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: http://bit.ly/2I0RAHj

Yelp
The pizza is ok, nothing special. Reasonable re-heated pizza. I had to remove the 4th star because of the impolite treatment I received from (evidently) the owner. My mistake: I tried to order slices of the pizza that was on the menu, but not currently in the glass display. The server claimed they were "out" of that pizza. It showed up while I was waiting (around 5 minutes) for my slices. When I complained, the pizza chef (and owner, I guess) accused me of not being "nice" (which I guess is what he says to all neuro-spicy people who walk in the door) and suggested that if I have any improvement suggestions, I should *START MY OWN PIZZA PLACE*. It must be nice to be so financially stable that they want more competition.

Yelp
Absolutely love the hot italian with the chili oil! The pricing is amazing given the high-quality ingredients and generous serving size. Highly recommend!

Courtney B.

Yelp
This is a review for the restaurant located at the new Prescott market in West Oakland - Excellent pizza - you can order a slice!!! Highly recommend the mushroom one and the sausage garlic
google avatar

Rayleen W.

Yelp
Great pizza in a warm and welcoming environment. There are single seats by the window, to watch passers by and there is a large communal table to meet new friends. There are lots of different beers, wines, kombucha and soft drinks to choose from.

Yelp
We were in the area and wanted a quick bite. I saw the review for Pizzeria Violetta, and it sounded good. New York Style Thin Crust pies in a variety of flavors being sold at lunch time, 2 slices and a drink for $9.75 plus tax and tip. I drove up just before noon and of course, there's no parking. Is there ever any when you want it on Piedmont? She got out to order and wait for our order while I drove around the block... four times. On the last, she was outside waiting for me, pizza in hand as well as two fresh-squeezed lemonades. We had another stop to make before we could chow down. So it was about ten minutes before we were able to take our first bites. We got the Sweet Little Pig and Garlic Sausage. The Garlic Sausage crust was on point, still crispy. The sauce was mellow and there was enough Cheese, Garlic and Sausage that each bite gave you bit of each. The Sweet Little Pig toppings were very good but the crust was a tad soggy. We think that both would have been spectacular if we could have tucked in immediately. We won't go out of our way to visit but if in the area, we'd definitely be back for some more pie! Oh, service was fast, friendly and nice. The lemonade was probably too cold for a chilly day but was nice. The wedge of lemon was a nice touch. And they serve their lemonade in a cup with a sippy lid. No straw necessary!

Yelp
When visiting the Bay this is the first place I go to ! We do not have pizza like THIS in the south! From the delicious warm thin crust, the fresh ingredients sauce, and the great staff. This little charming pizzeria is always a hit!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Pizza by the slice. Great price for a 2 slice combo with a drink. Thin crust but very very flavorful. Fresh and tasty but not overly heavy. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
Pizzeria Violetta is great! Solid pizza by the slice spot. Parking can be rough as this is in Piedmont.
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Such a cute store with great thin crust pizza and great selection of wines and ice cream! Came here around 9pm with a starving bf and tried one slice of everything they have left Staff was super friendly and quick service I love the kale pizza and meatball pizza. The crust was perfect. We heated up in the oven for an extra five minutes and the crust got crispier Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tonight was my first dine in experience. I love my "grab and go "salad and slice. BUT. Eating in at big table sharing salads, pizza and enjoy the available wine was really fun.! Our group needed a nice 5 PM dinner for a bunch of hungry women en route to Ballet. We each were able to order at counter and pick our wine, beer and other non alcohol drinks- then all food came out fast. If you want to order a full pizza - order an hour in advance and show up. But have 5-6 pizza hit by the slice available. They have a wonderful 2 slice + Drink and gelato option. We even got to met the real Violetta who charmed us . Thank you for a great dinner!

Matthew S.

Yelp
Best pizza in the world! Crust is perfect! Cheese and sauce are perfect! Great New York style pizza!
google avatar

Marcel C.

Yelp
It's fine for a quick bite but wouldn't go out of my way for a pizza here. The slices are on the smaller side and sadly nothing special. Hoping they can step their game up
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
If you love east coast, thin crust style pizza this is THEE place. They also make a can't miss Italian subs that are easily a full meal (Monday through Thursday only. They usually have an assortment of specialty pies that always impress me. Try the eggplant caponata or the sweet little pig (homemade canided bacon and pepperoni, yum!) There's an attention to quality and detail that makes this pizza joint miles above the rest. Great wine, beer and soft drink selection, gelato, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. Get over there or order some pies for your next party.

Mike S.

Yelp
Pizza is pretty meh. Nothing special at all. If you compare it to places that I really like, like Graffiti Pizza or Gioa's in Berkeley, it just seems very meh. Something is lacking. I have been here many times just because it is close and sometimes I just want a slice.

Alonso C.

Yelp
Ordered the hot spicy pizza from over here and was fairly excited after seeing all of the good reviews. Called up my coworker I found a pizza spot and placed my order which was pretty easy on the website. Got to the location and it looked alright in there small little spot and picked it up. After taking my first bite of it I noticed it was a little salty but for a big person like me I can eat whatever so I didn't think much of it. Once I took another bite of it I couldn't stand it it was way too salty and a horrible experience. Paid 35$ for a salt pizza. The worst part were the peppers which is what I believe made this over salty. Those were the worst parts leaving that horrid taste. Couldn't even finish it same thing for my coworker didn't enjoy this at all. Felt Horrible wasting food and wouldn't have even given it to a homeless person would have rather given them money to get something good instead.

Yelp
Delicious thin crust pizza! Sauce on the pizza was excellent! Ingredients are very fresh and crust was perfectly crispy! Service was speedy. The place is small but has plenty of seating. Our new fave pizza spot!!!

Kate W.

Yelp
"It's really cheesy and the oregano makes it have good flavor. It comes out really quickly." - review from a 7 year old / pizza expert.
google avatar

Lanny B.

Yelp
Good pizza, easy for pick up, you can't go wrong. The service, though, after a certain time of day it is a little like Wayne, Garth, Beavis, Butthead, Bill, Ted, Spicoli, Harold, Kumar, Cheech, Chong, Seth, and Evan are being managed by Wooderson. Or, wait, is the Dude the manager? Anyway, the pies abide.
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch and the lady was super rude throughout the whole ordering but I noticed she was super friendly with everyone else so not sure what she had against me even though I've never met her before. In regards to the pizza, the crust was definitely super pale and undercooked. I think the favourite thing I had there was the salad and lemonade. Honestly won't be back. I wanted to like them initially because they seem very community focused but if you can't deliver on food or service, there are so many better options on the same street like LoCoco or Cato's.
google avatar

Angelica R.

Yelp
I got it again. The Hot Italian with Mushrooms. I don't know WHAT IT IS but today was the BEST it has tasted. Could be because I have been CRAVING their pizza for a month. The last time I called to pick up, there was a HUGE ORDER that would have me waiting till almost dinner time. It was late lunch time. So, I held off. This is the ONLY PIZZA I spend my GOOD MONEY on. I will, one day, try other offerings. I PROMISE.

Yelp
Such tasty pizza! I've never been to NY and I think Pizzeria Violetta serves up NY style pizza, if that's the case- I'm excited to head to New York for their pizzas! I love their lunch combo- your choice of two slices, and a canned soda or their in house lemonade for $9.75 (excluding tax & tip). Each cheese pizza slice is $4 and specialty slice $4.75, so the combo is a great deal. I've only really had their sweet little pig and the roasted garlic sausage pizzas- both very good and flavorful without doing the most. The crust is fairly thin and holds the toppings and cheese well, and the flavor combinations blend harmoniously. I only wish they were open past 9 if I was in the area and had a hankering for pizza after a night out, but Piedmont Ave is pretty quiet so it's understandable. Definitely an awesome spot to visit in this area!

Yelp
I have looked high and low, wide and far, for good, tasty pizza in the bay. Although I'm a Chicago pizza style (thin crust) fan, I enjoy a good NYC style slice here and there and this place was fantastic. Well balanced, great flavors, nice crispy crust, quality tasting ingredients, and not Overly soggy or greasy. I would venture to say this is one of the best NYC style pizza locations in the Bay Area I've tasted thus far. They also have a fantastic homemade Mint Lemonade that was quite tasty. It was on the sweet side, but add a bit of water and its like you have Two drinks. Service was prompt, and straight to the point, I think the host was very friendly and talked with me a lot about the options. Ambiance was pretty causal, not too loud, plenty of seating with street facing stools with reminded me of the new your pizza parlor style.

Yelp
The pizza at this little local shop is the best in town. And they sell it by the slice! My go to is the Sweet Little Pig, but they have several other specialty slices that put a smile in my heart. What goes better with great pizza than great beer?! What an amazing selection of local craft beers AND n/a options when you're taking a break. Thank you for being in my 'hood!
