27 Spots to Watch Premier League Matches With a Pint in Hand All Season Long | Eater

"From the “céad míle fáilte” (one hundred thousand welcomes) to your last sip, you’ll feel part of the fam at this Kamm’s Corners Entertainment District mainstay. While there’s no shortage of tasty Irish-inspired dishes on offer, our vote goes to the Irish boxty (a traditional Irish potato pancake stuffed with your choice of savory fillings) or the pot roast dinner." - Perri Ormont Blumberg

Absolutely amazing Irish pub! We came in town for the weekend looking for a fun place to let loose and this was it! Bartenders were on point. Drinks were great beer was cold. Fish and chips were amazing. I recommend this Irish pub to anybody who wants authentic Irish atmosphere and cold beer.

Stopped in on a Sunday, service was great , the food was delicious. We had the Sunday boneless wing special mango habanero, house chips and dip and the Rueben with Curley fries, we’ll definitely be back

Omg this place is charming and comfy, filled with laughter and good times. The staff was kind and chill. I 😅 got Fatheads iPa sunshine daydream beer...mistakes made no fault of the pubs. I loved everything well seasoned and spiced. The Irish coffee was warm and rich had a coconut like finish. The BBQ chicken salad had all the marks of a Mexican corn salad roasty and each nugget of corn was delicious and juicy 😋. Further more their Ruben egg rolls are delicious as well the wrap is perfectly crispy and Cheesy down to the last bite with or without sauce it's flipping tasty. Now....let me tell you about their toffee cake it's screaming smooth and rich balanced and sweet. Was a wonderful and pleasant experience sitting in and chilling with the peeps of P.J's thank you for serving us and your community. Tiktok Kitsunelush for shout out comming soon

Google
Great atmosphere and good food. Lots of TVs classic pub feel, I ordered tge pulled pork Mac and cheese and the corned beef boxty and they were both generous portions and good eats. I also ordered the boneless wings although I would skip out on these as they were small, dry and not very good. Service was alright, could be better.

Google
Very cool location and environment. Nice and clean place, staff are prompt and attentive even sitting outside. You are greeted when you walk in the door and there are plenty of options for seating. The food tastes great, is cooked well, and seasoned just right.

Google
Friendly, attentive staff. The food was fantastic! I had the boxty's with bangers, my friend had a corned beef sandwich with house made potato chips. We both had the bread pudding, which isn't the kind you get at a buffet. This was a dense cake, made with the rye bread (I think) and a tasty whiskey sauce. We will be there again!

Google
This is the best Irish ☘️ Pub in Cleveland! I give it 5🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀! Food, atmosphere, and the staff are amazing. It's like an oils world pub in Ireland 🇮🇪

Google
Food and drinks were amazing. The party room is where we were and our bartender Amanda was amazing and so helpful. The atmosphere was perfect!!

Yelp
A go to spot for drinks and food in west park. Full bar. Love both the spinach art and buffalo dips (with the boxty). Of course the famous Ruben egg rolls too. Weekly specials are great deals. Attended several events in the party room downstairs. Ample space and love that it has its own bar area.
google avatar

Remi W.

Yelp
Our family reserved part of PJ's event space for a birthday party. Our experience was excellent! Prior to the actual event, their event stuff was super helpful and communicative throughout the process and was very responsive via email. On the day of the event, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They were very accommodating of us bringing in dessert, appetizers, and decorations. The staff even volunteered to help us set up. During the event everything came out exactly as planned. The staff was invisibly attentive to our party, tending to our guests, and bringing everything out on time. Would definitely recommend an event here, great experience!

Yelp
PJ McIntyres is our go-to spot in our neighborhood. They are pretty consistent with quality, service, pricing, portion. We also get take out quite often. I love their Irish Reuben egg rolls! The California sandwich is very good too. If you get the homemade chips as a side, order a side of the onion dip too- fantastic! Great menu, lots of delicious food to choose from. The ambiance is what makes this my favorite. The fireplace keeps it cozy, trivia and events keep it friendly. The bar is always bustling with new friends to meet.

Yelp
This place always seems to have good vibes and the people are always having a good time. It is a loud bar. They have pretty good food as well. The service there is very quick. I have never waited long at all to receive service. If you want to visit a fun, upbeat bar with good food go check this place out.

Yelp
We love PJs most of the year, but we especially love it on St. Paddy's Day! It is always such a joy coming here and taking in the fun environment. We were lucky enough to have a seat at the bar and our server (I think it was Alisha) was absolutely amazing and fast, even when it got crazy busy. My only ask for next year is to have fish and chips as something you can order as well as the Irish breakfast until 11am. We left early because we were starving (we didn't want Irish breakfast) and couldn't wait until the 2pm start time.
google avatar

Yelp
Another great neighborhood pub. Food is great. Traditional Irish fare like Shepherd's Pie and bar food selections. Salads, Sandwiches, the BEST Spinach Artichoke dip in town. Full bar with lots of draft choices. Absolutely wonderful party room (you won't even know you're in the basement). We had such a great bartender/waitress for our gathering. Small parking lot in back. Casual crowd. Place gets a bit loud but after all, it's a pub!

Chris K.

Yelp
The food is always consistent and the Guiness reminds me of a pour from Ireland. The daily specials are always spot on.
google avatar

Yelp
Another Cleveland living legend. Pat Campbell runs the most legit Irish Pub/American restaurant/Live music venue in town. This is NOT up for debate. There's an Irish dance studio upstairs. They've got a full selection on every damn Irish whiskey (even the good stuff) Smithwick's is a standard here. Live music every week. I've been to a Hooley or 2 here. They also show EVERY Celtic game! As well as other crowd faves like MU and Arsenal. The food is more than just American bar food. They've got some amazing twists on classic Irish fare, like the Boxty. (It is a must try) Pat's bartenders, servers, kitchen staff and bar backs are constantly hustling. Service is always friendly, quick and accurate. They never let my drink go empty.
google avatar

Kara S.

Yelp
Wonderful!! The Irish Boxty is delicious! Beer is cold and the atmosphere is awesome.

William R.

Yelp
Excellent food with generous portions, with several traditional Irish plates. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great daily specials. The atmosphere is proudly Irish.
google avatar

Tymere E.

Yelp
Great food and service. Huge portions...we got buffalo mac n cheese, potatoe pancakes with chicken and chicken club wrap. All of it was so good and portions were big enough we only ate half. Also we got a huge piece of bread Pudding big enough for 3 or 4. Will definitely recommend and return.

Annie F.

Yelp
EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING! We shall be returning again soon. Our meatloaf, mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli were all so good as were our Irish Coffees. Our server and other staff were also really nice and attentive.
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
Great Irish pub. I really love the fact that they have a jukebox To play music while you enjoy a nice cold beer. Fried pickles were amazing, wings were hot in the outside but once I took a bite, they were cold. They probably just microwaved them I was disappointed being a chicken wings fan. I will still come back and try more stuff in the menu, still a cool place to hang out
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
Warm, welcoming, authentic, often open- everything you want and need in a pub. They've won my loyalty for friendly service and good food, plus a cozy atmosphere. Will return, will recommend. Plus, a great $7 Monday burger special- wow!

Melissa S.

Yelp
I don't go to PJs very often so the poor service and burned food might be an isolated incident. My friend and I both ordered a Boxty. When these were brought to the table, hers was somewhat burned on the inside of the potato pancake, and mine was completely burned on the outside and partially on the inside. It was so burned you could smell it in the air. We had to send it back because it was inedible and when the waitress brought it back, mine was still burned on the inside and partially on the outside. If I had been there alone, I would've refused it and paid for my beer and left, but I didn't want to cause a scene. I had to peel the burned pancake off and take the inside out, which tasted very strange since it har obviously been cooked twice , first when they burned it the first time and then they cooked it again when they burned it the second time. The Swiss cheese had a weird rubbery consistency because of it. I was really surprised that the waitress was able to bring it back to the table when it was visibly burned again. Unbelievable. It's really a shame because it use to be my favorite place at Kamms. I won't be back. I forgot to mention it cost 15.95 and they applied a 3.10 discount to both of our Boxtys. I can't believe they charged us anything., especially since my plate was covered with burned food when they cleared the table. By the way we still gave the waitress a 20% tip. I'm not sure why and I regretted it afterwards. Beware of the Boxty.

Michelle J.

Yelp
What gem! Great food, fantastic service & perfectly mixed drinks! The ambience is amazing as well with the Irish music playing. Definitely a place to check out & one you do, you will return again!'

Yelp
Great local bar with a neighborhood feel. If you're in the mood for hearty Irish food or quality bar food then this is a place you should check out. A large bar located in the center of the pub and enough seating for any sized party. The service is great and I was pleased that we didn't wait long to get our food. I came in here for lunch mid week and grabbed a seat at the bar. I wasn't feeling a heavy meal, so I went with the Buffalo chicken wrap with fried chicken. The wrap came with chips.
google avatar

Laura H.

Yelp
The Reuben was quite good. The Black & Tan Onion Rings were stellar! Perhaps the best I've had yet. The batter (yes batter, not breaded), had a slight sweet flavor. They were even nice to look at with a slight tiger striping. Just two dessert options. I opted for the Toffee Pudding dessert as recommended by our waitress. Eh. Was moist, but as for flavor? It was sweet, but other than that was pretty flavorless, except for a slight bitterness at the end of the bite. I wouldn't order it again, and that was the overall consensus from all four of us at the table.

Yelp
This place hits all the marks for an Irish pub! Friendly staff, great food, large bar, great draft and bottle offerings and a vibe like nowhere else.

Yelp
Very nice place to eat Irish food and drinks. Sorry no pictures. Easy place to find Party of 5 was $90.00
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
Coming here is always a lively, good time! Be sure to stop in on a night with live music. The bands create a fun atmosphere and the crowd is generally upbeat. The crowd also runs the gamut age-wise, so good people-watching is pretty much guaranteed! The staff is efficient, professional, and attentive ... and the food is pretty good.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a visually appealing and comfortable bar and restaurant. The night we were there it was a busy Saturday and the staff was very busy yet able to retain a welcoming level of service. They were hosting some kind of party celebrating an anniversary or milestone and there was a small buffet of free appetizers. This was a happy surprise and they welcomed us to the free food. So nice!!! We sampled meatballs, nachos and chicken wings. Not sure if any or all of these is on the menu. I also ordered the Irish egg rolls and saved room for bread pudding off the menu. Was happy with everything and appreciated the friendly service.
google avatar

Antoni G.

Yelp
Truly authentic Shepard's Pie. This stuff is no joke. No other place comes close. The lobster bisque is rich, flavorful and meaty. And the curry and chips are a must have snack with a beer. The service friendly, knowledge and energetic. If you are in the area this is a must go. Family friendly too!!
google avatar

Hannamarie N.

Yelp
I'LL TELL YOU WHAT. I was craving spinach and artichoke dip and good comfort food and this played DID JUST THAT. The dip was delicious and I wish I could've taken 10 servings home just for myself and not for my boyfriend. My meatloaf dinner was also SMACK. The mashed potatoes, meat and vegetable were all incredible! My boyfriend's Reuben was also great and the servings were more than generous. Overall the vibes were 10/10 and the experience was a 12/10. I recommend this place!

Yelp
So PJ McIntyres is a mixed bag for me. I will give the pro's and con's of the restaurant before giving thoughts on all the wings we had. Pro's -Post COVID they are doing a great job providing a safe place for people to eat. Tables are distanced appropriately, servers are wearing masks, and sanitizer around the restaurant/bar. -Solid patio to eat outside safely. Also sight seeing some of West Park's finest including a homeless person trying to barter with me on what wings I would give them is always fun. -Good service provided with tons of deals and affordable prices. Daily deals for both food and drink. Con's -Server knowledge of food. I think the servers provided us great service and timeliness, but their knowledge of some of the food was lacking. I consider Cleveland to be a bit of a wing city and they couldn't really articulate some of the wing flavors and the spice levels. I think they could use some time on the next Lakewood Wing Crawl to broaden their taste buds. -Some of the food just wasn't very good, tasting bland or lacking unique flavors. Wing Rankings of the 5 tasted 1. Hot Garlic Parmesan - great great wing. Pretty crispy with the wing sauce being more creamy than hot. The combination left a good taste on the palette and would definitely try again. 2. Cajun (Wet) - surprisingly very good. Some wet Cajun wings lose all the heat from the cajun seasoning which this did not. Think cajun dry rub plus hot wing and that is what this is. Would definitely get again. 3. Buffalo - standard fare buffalo wing which had the spice level of a low medium wing. Nothing offensive nor spectacular. Would get if getting multiple flavors as just about anyone would eat it. 4. Mango Habanero - they should drop the habanero off this wing as I tasted none of that on the wing. For a Mango wing it wasn't bad but not what I expected or wanted. Wouldn't get again. 5. Stingin Honey Garlic - similar to the previous wing there were multiple flavors missing on this. I tasted no Garlic and definitely had no "sting". Honey wing that was pretty sweet. Would never try again

Yelp
My family is from Ireland and I've spent some good time there. This by far is the best Irish food (at least the Irish Breakfast) in Ohio. Great local business and they definitely support their first responders. Love this place and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
My fiancé and I just moved to Kamm's Corners. We decided to celebrate our first day in the neighborhood by eating lunch at this pub. It was around 1:30 PM, and not too busy. Our waitress was slow and disinterested in serving us. When I asked her for a beer menu, she rudely and sarcastically barked at me... My fiancé and I were flabbergasted, and immediately asked for the check to pay for her coke to leave. Where did you find such a disgusting person to represent your business? Why would you have her treating your customers with such contempt? You need to be professional and courteous, or at least be efficient. We won't be coming back.

Yelp
last week Danielle and i had dinner at PJ McIntyre's Irish Pub and the food was good. I had the All Day Irish Breakfast. I'd have liked the hash browns to be browned a bit more but every thing else was very good. I had a great beer that I was sure I wouldn't like - Rochester Mill's Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake Stout. yum. i doubt i'll be back, however, as i am not a fan of the atmosphere. I don't like people standing around me drinking and chatting while i'm eating my dinner. i recognize this is a "pub" but it was a bit too much for me. who knows? never say never, i guess.

John C.

Yelp
Awesome irish pub, food is good. Good atmosphere very friendly staff. Pours a good guinness.

Yelp
Great food with an Irish flair, PJ McIntyres has been a staple in the Cleveland Area for years. Really enjoyed our experience there, with my favorite being the English Breakfast with so much food that you can't believe it:) They also have a very well stocked bar, and a warm, homey atmosphere that really makes this a comfortable place to meet up with friends and folks and just have a nice snack and a conversation. Lots of out outside parking and good hours make this a place that I stop at whenever I'm in the area, so, If you're looking for a treat, and a good place to eat, try PJ McIntyres, they're hard to beat:)
google avatar

Henry B.

Yelp
Great Buffalo chicken. Awesome Reubens. Onion rings perfect. Great lunch place and we did not have a beer even. Nice service, nice place. Come late for lunch and it easier to get a table.
google avatar

Yelp
Only follow COVID protocols when it's convenient for them. Said that they were "at capacity" even when herds of people left. They obviously weren't following COVID protocols strictly if the ratio was so far off. I witnessed the bouncer allow certain people in while telling others they were full. Tells me they were using this as an excuse to enforce a discrimination of who they want inside
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I really enjoy PJ McIntyre's. The food has been excellent each time we've eaten there, and the service has always been friendly (although sometimes delayed at the bar area). Having traveled throughout Ireland multiple times, I can say that this pub really reminds me of some of the larger pubs I've been to. And, unlike many American-Irish 'pubs' that serve soggy bar food, the food here is GOOD! They definitely have an American spin on things, but they bring in Irish influences like rashers (Irish bacon similar to Canadian bacon), shepherd's pie, and fish and chips. The tables are well stocked with HP sauce and malt vinegar, which are a must at any respectable pub! The decor is beautiful inside, especially the area where you may have session music players gather certain nights. There are lovely murals, stone work, tile floors with Celtic designs, and, of course, the odd Guinness memorabilia on the walls. It has just the right level of not too bright, not too dimly lit inside as well. The bar CAN get a bit loud and rowdy, so just keep that in mind for when you go for dinner in the evening. All in all, we definitely recommend this place and will come back with friends and family!
google avatar

Yelp
9.5 for decore-Very nicely decorated pub in the city! Seems like a good vibe with a large private party room downstairs. Plenty of bar seating with minimal booth or family seating available. Wife and I ordered two entrees and two appetizers, in general the food was super generic tasting; I'm talking right off of the Cysco or US Foods truck, de-thawed and served up. I would come here again to party with buds and kick back Black and Tans, but not for lunch or dinner food.

Yelp
Incredible service, delicious food and an awesome sound system. I had called the owner, Patrick, earlier in the week to reserve a table for a party of 15. This was for a busy Saturday night when they were hosting a popular band. When I arrived, and was waiting for our tables, at least six people came up to me to see if I needed anything. They are definitely well staffed! Our server was Maggie. Although it was loud and packed, She always had a smile on her face AND she never looked stressed! She is incredible and has her act together!! After the initial drink order, I didn't need to remind her of what I was drinking when ordering subsequent drinks...and she didn't have our names! She checked on us many times throughout the evening! Patrick is lucky to have her! I ordered the Guinness meatloaf. It arrived hot and it was delicious! Homemade mashed potatoes and just enough gravy. My friends ordered burgers, wraps and appetizers. I think its safe to say, all was tasty and satisfying. The band Faction was lots of fun. The music was a good mash of 80's to current. As the evening went on, tables were removed to provide a dance floor...and dance we did!! Before we wrapped up the evening, we were already discussing our return. Thanks for a fun night, P.J. McIntyres!!!

Yelp
I was very pleased with my first visit to PJ McIntyres Irish Pub! They had a great selection of food and drinks. We got the sampler as our appetizer and it came with chicken tenders, onion rings, potato skins, and more. I got turkey club that had chipotle mayo AND avocado spread - such great flavor! And my boyfriend got Mini McSliders. We visited on a Wednesday and got $2.50 beers but according to their website, this is a daily special Sunday- Thursday! If you are looking for a laid back, bar style restaurant, this is the place for you! Plus it looks beautiful decorated for the holidays.

Yelp
I love PJ's! It's really a hometown place! People are easy to talk to, the service is excellent! Lots of live music, just check the boards. I absolutely LOVE the Potato/Leek soup, the Irish Egg Rolls (both made fresh) and the Boxty!!!!! When I am in the mood for Lake Erie Perch, this is now my go-to place. While Public House is still good, I prefer PJ's now. Fair pricing during the week with drink specials and Power Hour on Fridays. Extra toilets are downstairs ladies, no need to wait in line!

Yelp
Hello P.J. McIntyre's. I know I visited you this past summer, but somehow I forgot until now to write a review about you. Don't worry. It's nothing against you or anything. I think i just got busy and it slipped my mind. Although I have no idea how... Your atmosphere and general "sweet-as-hell Irish pub" feel made me feel strangely at home for a bar I've only been to once. You housed a hot, tired and hungover group when we were tired of walking around the screaming children at Kamm's Corner Fest. You were a shelter from the sunny afternoon and offered a rather fantastic 'hair of the dog" remedy to my stomach ache in the form of glorious beer. In essence? A savior. So, it's become essential for me to spread the news of this unpretentious, hardwood embellished, Irish pub that rocks. I haven't tried the food, but I'll be back soon to do so. Especially after hearing Murray utter the words "soft", "pretzel", and "cheese" in the same sentence. Plus, those black and tan onion rings didn't sound too bad either. Also, when I return can you please arrange for that 45 year old drunk woman to be right behind me at the bar again? She was hilarious and was totally sloshed when she was supposed to be watching her daughter's baton routine in the parade. I gave her a high-five. She made my night. If you're reading this leave with this thought embedded in your brain: Soft pretzel loaf with cheese... mmmmmmmmm.....

Yelp
Delicious food! We came as a recommendation from our hotel and was not disappointed! Burgers and Ruben are delicious and moist. Also save room for the funnel cake fries!

Heidi M.

Yelp
I just wanted to say what a great experience we had on August 8th. We had never been there before and discovered it on a list of restaurants on my Entertainment.com app. We sat on the patio since we had a dog. The server (Romano per our receipt) was very nice and attentive and even brought our dog a styrofoam bowl of water. That was very thoughtful because we hadn't asked him to do that. We enjoyed the beer specials, but the highlight of the visit was the superb Cajun grilled chicken on the salad. The seasoning and grilling was so delicious! The server explained it takes a while because it is made to order. It did take a while, but I have to say it was well worth the wait! I was very impressed. When we're in the area we'll be sure to stop by again.

Yelp
Pj McIntyre's. My go to west park bar. I've been here many a night, and for some reason there is always a drunken almost brawl near me. Even when no one else is in the bar. Its totally bizarre-o. Not complaining, just stating a fact. There's always entertainment :D I've only eaten at PJ's once, but their brunch was amazing. "Two eggs, hash browns, black and white puddings, bangers, rashers, grilled tomato, baked beans, mushrooms, and toast". Delish. I loved the brunch. I also love that they make the correct black & tan. Guiness and Smithwicks. Don't mess with it. If you're looking for a nicer place to go in the west park area, Pj's is definitely it.

Kevin F.

Yelp
Two Old guys, 72 to be exact want to eat Corned Beef Sandwiches, but first before anything we had to present a credit card to our waitress for payment or we cannot eat! I asked why and she said so we do not run out without paying! So I presented my card to the waitress. I then asked to speak to the manager. She arrived and told me she needs my credit card before I can eat! I told her I already did. She did not believe me so I gave her another credit card! I then told her, If I receive any double billing I will then back out the charge! I decided to pay cash and when I got home to my dismay, they charged my credit card. They backed it out later on! Managers please know who your customers are. We were not drunk 72 year old guys and have always payed and left a 20% tip. We were also regular customers. Both of you came across as accusing and unprofessional. We will never be back!

Yelp
Favorite neighborhood bar. Drinks are reasonably priced, some of the food is good, bartenders are pleasant.

Barbara W.

Yelp
Haddock & coleslaw were wonderful! Threw out wings - rubbery, slimy, horrible. Tried putting them in oven to crisp up - still awful. Worst we've ever had. Chips that came with haddock were limp. Have those in the toaster oven now to see if we can somehow salvage.

Moonlight G.

Yelp
This is how you know if you're in a REAL Irish pub in the U.S.: #3) Watch to see if the bartender knows how to pour a PROPER pint of Guinness. #2) See if the menu has traditional Irish food on it, namely a traditional Irish breakfast with rashers, Irish sausage, baked beans, eggs, grilled tomatoes, black and/or white pudding (blood pudding), toast and maybe something along the lines of grilled mashed potatoes. Irish sausage is pinkish with brown grill marks on it. It is very distinct to Ireland. And the #1 way to know if it's a REAL Irish pub (aside from having Irish barmen and customers) is...do they have the Senior All-Ireland Hurling and Football Finals on TV? PJ McIntyres is the ONLY bar in the Cleveland area to check all these boxes!! I have to travel from the far eastside suburbs to watch the Kilkenny Cats every fall (well, most falls, LOL) in hurling or see who Dublin's beating in football this year. It's pathetic. You call most bars that pretend to be Irish pubs and JUST ASK THEM WHAT HURLING IS and they don't know!! PJ McIntyres is a dying breed. Hang on, lads!! And keep up the good work.

Yelp
Great Music. Guinness, need I say more? Usually crowded, get there early.

Yelp
Fun little bar, I came a few years ago for St Patricks day. Wanted some corned beef and cabbage. It was decent, nothing amazing. Stopped in today after an emergency room visit with my niece. Good bar food, nothing really Irish authentic. If you're a big drinking and okay with mediocre bar food. This is definitely the place for you. Meh, I doubt I'll return again. I'm not much of a drinker and literally was stuck in the bathroom for an hour when I got home.
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
Had the Irish Boxty with corned beef. First time I had one. It was awesome! Pair it with a Guinness for a true authentic experience.

Yelp
You always support friends, but when friends support you, you double up. Great community involvement, and always the feel of home. Fish fry is fantastic, turkey club on pretzel roll is my fav and Smithwicks is always cold. Staff are friendly, remember your name and your drink and not afraid if a chat. My fav hangout.
