Yelp
This place is always popping on the weekends and Friday's and I could never figure out why. It's a fun spot to stop by and get a drink and they have outdoor games sort of like a smaller version of down town's gold spike.
If you're a health care worker they give you a 25% discount, a little less than it used to be back when they first opened but still a good discount and it makes drinks pretty affordable compared to anywhere else in Vegas.
Especially considering after a long stressful day of getting human feces and body fluids thrown and splashed at you, cursed at, and assaulted by patients, a drink is a must right after.
Hopefully they keep this deal for a good while.
The music is decent, and the crowd is mostly younger. Bar tenders and the bouncers are also usually pleasant and nice. They do have strange rules, like once you enter there is absolutely no re-entry. Which is weird to me because why even get a reentry stamp on your wrist if you can't re-enter at all? I left once to go out and get my jacket since it was freezing after 10 min inside and they almost didn't let me back in, fortunately the bouncers saw me at my car grabbing my coat and remembered me from literally 5 min ago walking in but they did warn me, and they were very polite about it but I still think it's an unusual rule for this place.
I get you don't want people going back and forth to their cars to drink, that makes sense, but also what's stopping them then from drinking before entering the first time at all?
On the brighter side, hopefully it makes it safer because I do see a lot of accidents on flamingo at night around this bar going home. And couldn't imagine the nightmares that stand alone ER has to deal with.
The food on another note is pretty good considering it's typical bar food. And priced decently. I stop by this place maybe once every 6 months or once a year so I feel I can't really give you a good idea what to expect, but I appreciate they're one of the few places that still offer medical workers a respectdiscount.
