Plancha Latin Kitchen

Had a craving for a proper cubano and this is one of the few spots in Long Beach that serves it. Not quite as traditional as I'd hoped, since it uses a single thick cut of ham instead of thin slices. There's a bit more bite, which I wasn't used to. The sandwich tasted great, but it was lacking in that one essential texture. My sister had a bowl, which was pretty good. Fresh produce, good pickles, seems to be a safe pick for a quick lunch.

Wow. First off, you have to get the empanadas. They are delicious, as is the sauce they come with. This restaurant is large inside with plenty of seating and a patio if you want to eat outside. It's a pretty simple "create-your-own" type of place with great options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The portion size is pretty good. If you aren't too hungry you will definitely be taking a box home with you. I think they would benefit if they offered a half-order size, but until then, it's a lot of delicious food.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! The staff is so hospitable and helpful and the food is out of this world!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE order the empanadas. They are some of the best empanadas I have ever had. I made my own bowl with white rice and greens and carnitas with mango salsa, guacamole, pickled onions, cilantro, and a side of chipotle and it was phenomenal. The carnitas are so tender and everything tastes soooo fresh. I was expecting this place to be like another chain restaurant like Chipotle, but I was pleasantly surprised. Mexican Ceviche was also wonderful. This place should get 6 stars!!

Great food. The ingredients were fresh and the food was good. It was similar to Chipotle in the way that you select what you want in your Food when you order. It does took a little longer for the food to come out though. The have many veggie friendly options as well. The only negative was that it was a tad pricey but overall great food and will come back.

Great flavors!! Love the burrito choices. The salsas are also very tasty. The only thing was that my burrito was a little dry for my liking but will keep coming here.

Recently went with some friends to visit the Plancha Latin Kitchen located in the LBX business park of Long Beach. We ordered a variety of different dishes and left the place with a satisfied stomach. They offer a great selection of dishes from all over Latin America.

They brought together some really great flavors. I am not a vegetarian but loved some of their vegetarian dishes, both flavorful and filling. The dessert empanadas were awesome. Great beer selection too. Neat place, nice casual evening with great food.

Food was not that great. Cubano sandwich had a thick piece of ham. Something I’m not use to. Meat on the bowl wasn’t tender. It was chewy. The service was excellent though.
