My husband and I went to this impressive restaurant traveling through Montgomery Alabama. He had the Philly cheesesteak and I had a spicy fried mushroom sandwich. Everything is vegan, and delicious. We will be returning on our way home. Thank you Plant Bae.

Google
First time visiting the downtown area of Montgomery and Plant Bae. There definitely is no disappointment. We decided to check out Plant Bae when traveling north and it is worth the stop. I had the Philly Cheesesteak (beyond meat, mushrooms, onions & vegan cheese/sauce on a toasted hoagie roll) and my wife had the Spicy Sandwich (fried portabello strips (spicy) with the same sauce). Both were phenomenal. We will definitely be returning on our trip back south and we can't wait.

Google
Stopped in from Ohio, thankful for this plant based option!! The food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful with ordering. The restaurant was very clean and cute decor. Thank you, I will make it back soon!

Google
Food is very delicious! Nice vegan options! I tried just about everything on the menus my first time going. I’m not a fan of the meatless crumbles as I am alkaline/plant based but everything else I had was great! Love the sea moss juices with essential oils!

Google
Great “hole in the wall” atmosphere of perfect food!!!!! Sooooo delicious! I had cauliflower wings, Mac n cheese, cornbread, and cookies. Every bite was better than the last!

Craig's Corner Office

Google
PLANT Bae is definitely a great place to visit. The food was amazing, and the service was awesome. The people were great and inviting and parking wasn't bad at all. It is surrounded by a lot of historical places, too. Would definitely visit again

Google
We thought that the food was going to be great because of the reviews and the photos but NO! Do not be fooled. They gave us 10 fries, the burger was small. We got a rice bowl but the food was slapped onto the plate. There wasn’t much lettuce on the plate either. The rice was VERY VERY hard and crunchy like it’s been sitting out all day. The food was nasty. We payed $30 for this meal. PLEASE do not waste your money. I would give a 0 star if I could.

Google
My family has ordered delivery to nearby hotels before, but this is the first time we’ve been able to stop in and eat while we were in town. The owner is so friendly, and the food is delicious!

Yelp
Hubby found this gem! Lovely little cafe in downtown Montgomery. It's 5 minutes off the expressway, easy to get access and park. The food is excellent, clean and tasty. Yes, they have a bathroom and it's clean too! The owner has won lots of awards. If you need a barber check out her hubby next door. You won't be disappointed. Give them some love and stop in on your next visit.

Robbyn T.

Yelp
We've ordered delivery to nearby hotels before, but this is the first time we've been able to stop and dine in. The owner is super friendly and the food is outstanding! Burgers - great; Soul Roll - amazing; Philly Cheese Fries - chef's kiss!

Yelp
Alright. I'll be honest. I was super skeptical of this place. I'm not a vegetarian/vegan, but the person I was traveling with was. So hence, our visit and my review. I got the cauliflower wings and fries and they were pretty good. You can fry most anything and make it good! My colleague got the nachos and found a hair in her meal which really turned us all off. Because of that experience, I probably won't since here again.

Yelp
Great variety of delicious vegan food at a reasonable price. We will definitely go back when in the Montgomery area.

Yelp
First, I'm not vegan, but the YT video reviews for this restaurant really had me wanting to go. This is a gem NOT TO BE MISSED. Credit card, Apple Pay only. I had the Philly cheesesteak, pickle spears and de stressing lemonade. I cannot say enough on how good Plant Bae is. I'm fully stopping by here whenever in the area. They do take out mostly but have a cosy indoor and out door area.

Yelp
We were in MGM for some sightseeing. I was excited to try this place out. The food we ordered was good. The ambiance was just fine - it's a "joint", just the kinda place we like. The service is the reason for the low rating, for sure. Once we got the attention of the folks behind the counter, they were personable. BUT we ordered four things on the menu that weren't available - including smoothies and lemonade. Only drinks available were bottled water - welp - that was disappointing and strange. The self order feature was not self explanatory. Additionally, what was on the paper menu was not found on the self order screen menu. It has to be one or the other. It was all just odd. I'll try it again cuz the food was good but y'all are gonna have to get it together on some of this stuff.

Yelp
The dishes on the menu that were cleverly named with the suffix of BAE (Before Anyone Else) to tie it into the restaurant's namesake. Even the half lemonade and half sweet tea was named to honor the world renowned golfer, Tiger Woods. I ordered the Philly Cheese Bae which was reasonably priced at $10. The hoagie roll was stuffed with beyond meat, sautéed mushrooms and a grilled pepper and onion mix. Queso and vegan mozzarella were generously layered on the sandwich and enveloped the other ingredients. If I had more time in the city, I definitely would have gone back for dinner. It's safe to say that "I've been Bae'd".

Yelp
I really wanted to like this food but overall was disappointed. Customer service was timely and friendly and ambiance was good, small but adequate and clean. Food was not great. We are vegan and like fresh but it didn't seem that way. The salad was day old. The black bean balls tasted burnt. The Philly sandwich was small and not filled with mushrooms, onions, and beyond meat like it should be. The cheese in it was good however. The coleslaw had maybe one apple bite and was "mayo" based. The dressing tasted like 1000 island and was good. The fries were good. The tea/lemonade was good. There was some redeeming things but the main meals were not good. Vegan, healthy, fresh, and tasty should go together and this was not the case.

Yelp
I would not come to Montgomery, Alabama for a vegetarian food tour, but I was able to find this one vegan restaurant, founded by a doctor according to their website (doctor of what sort I could not discern). It has a couple of indoor and outdoor tables and lies close to most of the city's government buildings and attractions, and has various signs throughout the neighborhood pointing to it. It seemed to be one of relatively few businesses in the area. I am not the hugest fan of the fake meats and I wasn't looking for something fried and heavy, but I was able to settle on a salad bowl with grilled peppers and mushrooms over black beans and rice with plenty of greens. It was a solid meal. I wasn't thrilled about the styrofoam containers, but I was not in any position to complain. They seemed to be doing decent business, and the city could benefit from some vegetarian food.

Yelp
I've been skeptical about trying vegan food but it was food truck day at work so I thought I'd give them a shot. The first time I had Plant Bae, the cashier who took my order was extremely friendly, explained to me the food truck options and gave me a great recommendation. I got the Philly cheese bae which was fixed in no time - literally watch the lady on the grill chop it - gave me all the fixings and was also really friendly as well. The Philly cheese bae was great - they were even kind of enough to give me some more of their quedabra sauce. Highly recommend 2) visit Decided to go by their location downtown right by the old Wilson and Thomas barbershop, but this time I ordered the beau burger and man it was great. I will definitely be back

Yelp
I got talked into the Philly and I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best vegan sandwich I've ever had. It was so good that I called the restaurant back and thanked the cashier for talking me into it. I also got a side order of wings, which were very good - but that sandwich. Oh my goodness. Hard to focus on anything else. What I love most about this place is that it's not just trying to give you a fake meat alternative. That Philly sub? Mushrooms. Those wings? Cauliflower. I like a good impossible burger here and there, but that's pretty easy because you cook one of those up and it is going to taste pretty good. This is creative, this is real, and a place like this is not going to let you walk out of there with something tasting bland. You get the sense that they have to be as excited about it as they can be because then they know you will be as well. The decor is a little sparse, it has some real fun signs on the wall - but the focus is the food. The people were great. Importantly, if you are in a hurry I want to say you'll be best served by ordering ahead. They were a little short-staffed on my visit and it did take a while to get the food. Luckily I was in no rush.

Yelp
Friendly service and the beyond beef Philli cheese steak was delicious. Casual spot in downtown Montgomery worth stopping in while visiting the local sites.

Yelp
Food is a little pricey but it's good. A friend said the cauliflower wings were really good. My western burger was delicious
google avatar

Amayah E.

Yelp
This smoothie was absolutely terrible. Easily the worst "smoothie" I've ever paid for. It was basically water mixed with chunks of whatever fruit they used. I couldn't believe they would sell this!

Wayne H.

Yelp
When I'm traveling, as i am now, i'll eat vegetarian, so when i came across a vegan restaurant i was pleased and the menu looked great. So we went by for lunch and we could not have been more pleased. We're from Colorado; one of my companions has been a strict vegan for 37 years and the other is a cattle rancher and they were both delighted. We'll be here a few more days and Plant Bae will probably be the only place that we will have lunch. Two thumbs up!
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
They take forever! The food is great and the people are nice but only go or order from here if you have 60-90 minutes to spend on just waiting for your food. I know these things happen but this place is really bad about it. The place is fine to eat in, but their music is rather loud and repetitive.
google avatar

Yelp
We were driving from New Orleans to Atlanta and were very happy to find Plant Bae. It's downtown right near the highway so it didn't take us out of the way from our route. We also ordered ahead so it was ready when we got there. I'm glad that I listened to the reviews about the Philly because it did not disappoint. My only regret was not getting my own because my husband and I split it. There were also a pair of super sweet and respectful young boys working the counter. Try it you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
OMG y'all this food is soooooo freakin GOOD! I heard so many good things about Plant Bae so I decided to give it a try! I was greeted when I entered the restaurant; the staff was all smiles and super friendly! I love that's it's vegan but even if you're not a vegan, you won't be able to tell it's vegan food u eating-it's just that good! The flavors are top notch & that sauce-bae yeah!! See my before & after pics! I didn't eat all the bread because I was not to load up on carbs but it was too good not to eat some of it! Highly recommend!

Yelp
WOW! Excellent. 11/10! Literally the best vegan food I've had in the states to date. Wow. Found this place on Yelp while driving thru Montgomery and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. We had the Phillys and they were hot, flavorful, easy to eat, and truly mouthwatering. We also had the Smoothie Bae Bae which was also really good! Tasted like a baked cinnamon sweet potato :) We ordered over the phone, called at arrival, and someone brought our food out for a quick pick up! Literally took 12 minutes total. Great service. I would definitely come back here again.

Yelp
Came to Montgomery for an overnight trip. I googled vegan near me and this place came up. Seems to be the only fully vegan restaurant in all of Montgomery?? Only other thing that popped up was Mellow Mushroom. I tried their "Big Malc"..how could I not. It was really good. It was big and flavorful. I loved the mixed fries. I loved it so much I went back on my way out. On this visit I got the nachos..had a friend that had never tried vegan food and she wanted to try the nachos. She loved them so much she basically ate them all. I also tried the noxtails..it was really good. They were out of quinoa so I had it over white rice. I don't normally eat white rice but it was good, like I would get it again over the rice. I chose collard greens and the cauliflower "wings". I also got a deconstructed Rich Beau (I loved the names!) I wasn't going to eat it until the next day and didn't want it soggy. I reheated the mushrooms the next day and it was delicious. The customer service was awesome on each visit. This would definitely be my spot if I lived in Montgomery.

Yelp
My husband and I have not had bad experience where we eat but Lord have mercy! We read the good reviews, were looking forward to eating healthy food after a 6+ hr car ride, and overall had high expectations that were not met. Service was not good either, no enthusiasm which I was also looking forward to. Call Me Bae Wings too crunchy on the outside and cauliflower gooey on the inside. Rita Bae Bae smoothie made with bad fruit, my husband coughed... poor thing. Mac and cheese wasn't edible. Fries (how could they go wrong on this one....) I was only served 1 sweet potato fry which wasn't even good. Regular squiggly fries most likely came frozen and thrown into fryer. We give this place 1 star for the cashier being receptive to giving us a refund and for allowing us to give our food to the homeless. Additionally, the background music was good. Not sure if we even got a refund though because the cashier took too long and didn't look too confident about it.

Yelp
Nice, charming spot to eat some really good southern vegan food. This was the southern plate with wings, mac & cheese, collard greens, potato salad, and cornbread. Slight concern about the cleanliness of the place, but the food was good.
google avatar

Itoya M.

Yelp
I ordered the cauliflower wings and black bean falafel for delivery. It wasn't great at all I ended up throwing the whole thing out after a few bites. The cauliflower wings weren't wings just plain steam cauliflower bits. The falafel completely fell apart upon picking it up. Also the brown rice that came with the falafel plate was undercooked. I'm just going to say maybe it wasn't good due to it being Uber eats delivery.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
Prob the best vegan option in Montgomery, it's absolutely delicious. I'm not a vegan but I've been trying to eat a bit healthier and this place really hits the spot. The Philly bae is next level, so so good! Also try the smoothies, they use Irish sea moss in them!
google avatar

Gretchen P.

Yelp
I had the Call Me Bae cauliflower wrap with sauteed mushrooms and onions and it was absolutely delicious. The cauliflower was cooked just right, a light crisp, but not overdone and it didn't lose its flavor in the mix. The complementary ingredients in the wrap were layered thoughtfully so all of the flavors didn't merge together. The service was super friendly and prompt and they sent me with my takeout order with everything that I needed to enjoy my meal. The portion size was also very good, very filling, and very tasty. Thank you!
google avatar

Cyndi L.

Yelp
We made it in just before closing. The food was great. I had the beach bae salad. The pesto was a nice addition.

Yelp
While spending the weekend in Montgomery Al. my daughter suggested to stop by her favorite spot Plant Bae. I'm not a vegetarian but she said I would really enjoy the food and she was right. My burger and her fully steak taste like real meat was one of the ingredients but it wasn't... it was strictly vegan and so delicious!!
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
Heads up! Call before you come, the hours on the door and website are for decoration.

Heather I.

Yelp
Loved the black bean falafel! Also the Philly Cheese Bae was really good. How to order was a bit confusing but definitely recommend the food.
google avatar

Marlon J.

Yelp
Great food. I had the cauliflower wings and they were really good. The lady that took my order was really nice. Great atmosphere. Service was fast.

Yelp
Poor Customer Service, Person At Register Had No People Skills And I Wasn't Greeted, Music Was Blasting. Food Wasn't Good At All, I Literally Was Sick After Eating

IB W.

Yelp
Customer service is great. Today was my first time here. I had the cauliflower wings and chocolate chip cookies. I'll be back.
google avatar

Carol P.

Yelp
Service was great! Food was stellar! I had a meatless meatball sub that was yummy. My husband liked everything he had too. He particularly liked the apple slaw and a ginger brown sugar sauce. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the lemonade too. I just wished we lived closer.
google avatar

Kiana W.

Yelp
I've been several times since and tried the pickles and the southern plate and again Awesome! I love the lemonade tea infused with lavender oil it's my fav! I've move back out of state now I think for good but when I visit, I'm heading straight over to my Bae! Keep of the good work fam. Kiana
google avatar

Yelp
My three positives and a negative because the world needs more positivity: + loved the variety in the menu. There were a number of items hubby and I would like to try (ideally not having to do take away as fried food doesn't carry well) + the que-dabra sauce is worth getting extra for dipping anything (fries, burger, fingers) + both my Big Malc and hubby's spicy BBQ were tasty and different. I'd have no issues coming here with any meat eating friends. And, of course, veggie hubby was in heaven - the vegan chocolate chip cookies were not something I would eat again. (And I live for sweets) We'd happily eat here again

Aaron K.

Yelp
Do not recommend. Waited 20 minutes for a simple smoothie, then I was told that they didn't have any of the ingredients. I don't think I was even refunded. The employees were nice enough, and I'm not sure about the food, but I wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Carly M.

Yelp
I NEVER leave reviews, I either forget or frankly i don't care enough one way or another. But today... today is different. Y'ALL. Plant Bae exceeded my expectations ten fold. The soup was delicious. The pickles!!!! Oh my god the pickles. I was so sad when they were gone. The philly.... I've had Phillys in actual Philadelphia that aren't this good. The vegan mozzarella... omg. AMAZING. The vegan ranch???? I never want normal ranch again. It should be noted that I'm not vegan, I am a full on carnivore. So I consider myself to be a tough critic on plant based foods. This was my first trip to Plant Bae, but definitely won't be my last. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!
google avatar

Robtaevious M.

Yelp
I don't even know where to start. This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We were in Montgomery for a photoshoot and stopped here for lunch. Best decision we made! The food was hot AND fresh! The taste.... OH MY GOODNESS! The sauce !!! Now that sauce is so good I wanted to go back in there and ask what they used to make it lol. The lemonade with lavender topped it all off. I am now truly addicted to that lavender lemonade. I've never felt so relaxed from a beverage that was so good! Listen to me when I tell y'all that Plant Bae is a MUST VISIT! I can't wait til I'm back in Montgomery so I can stop back by here.
google avatar

Alexa G.

Yelp
Find yourself randomly in Alabama's capital one day? If so, definitely stop here for food, even if you're a meat eater. I go back and forth between vegan and vegetarian because I can't fully commit to full time plant based. Maybe it'll happen, but definitely not anytime soon. A great aspect of traveling is to check out local food gems. Downtown Montgomery is saturated with restaurants I rather not dine in. Plant Bae to the rescue to satisy my non meat cravings. Their menu is awesome. Great food. Great prices. We need more places like this one.
google avatar

Tawnie G.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible!!! Every single thing about this restarting is on point. The food is so delicious, it's not priced too high, and the energy of this staff is infectious. We ordered the tacos, nachos, and side orders of cauliflower wings with fries. I was soooo happy to find this place and could not believe it was right in downtown Montgomery Alabama! The food options are definitely expanding, and we will 100% be coming back for more!
google avatar

Duncan M.

Yelp
Walking from the Rosa Parks museum to the Freedom Riders museum and came across this place. Excellent nachos the Charlie Bae Bowl... Stop whatever you're doing and eat here.
google avatar

Kathleen S.

Yelp
What a gem to discover this on our trip to Montgomery visiting the Legacy Museum. Tasty vegan sandwiches, friendly service.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Well I was excited to try this place but a little disappointed on the outcome. The food was just ok. I did not finish it. Definitely needed more seasonings and a way to make the plant less dry. The bread was just ok as well. Comparing to other plant based restaurants it was just ok.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
stopped by when passing through on a road trip! such amazing food, absolutely delicious. not too heavy, but still filling, my friends and i enjoyed everything! everyone there was kind and the atmosphere was warm, casual, and welcoming- highly recommend!!
google avatar

Abigail R.

Yelp
I always love a good veggie option!! Was super excited when we found this place. The food was really delicious.. even those in the group that had never tried impossible meat and/or all veggie food enjoyed it! The portions were pretty substantial.. and I left with leftovers. Definitely recommend for anyone that wants to try some good Vegetarian food!

Joseph L.

Yelp
Innovative, creative, and delicious. That's the first three words I think of when I remember this meal. Vegan food has come a long way from a gross salad at a burger joint to a place like this providing both whole plant and meat replacement dishes: done the right way. What I ordered was decadent and deep fried. It was a wonderful mix of shame and pride. Shame for eating fried food but pride knowing nothing had to die for it. They were clearly short staffed and unprepared for the amount of orders that came on at once so I'll give them a pass on quick service. Especially since the food was worth double the wait. The restaurant feels cramped but that's only because they're running an amazing restaurant in a small space. I only get this way once every year or so but I will be looking for this business to expand all over the south east. People need to be exposed to this place.

Megen S.

Yelp
Small vegan/plant based restaurant in downtown Montgomery. Great menu with many options to choose from. I had the cauliflower wings and fries and my husband had the portobello burger with fries. "Delicious" doesn't even begin to describe our meals! The restaurant also appeared to be working on a catering order that needed to be delivered when we first got there. It didn't appear to rattle the staff. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is plant based, vegan, or even omnivore! You'll love it! Wish we lived closer!
google avatar

Fred T.

Yelp
The first time I came to plant bae the service was rude but I will say the food is great so tried four to five times with the same type of service. But who knows it could just be me.
google avatar

Tussy J.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with food on yesterday my sandwich was on a hot dog instead of a hoagie bu
