Plant Based Junkie

I’ve been to Plant Based Junkie multiple times since they have open. They’re located on the south side of the street, east of Stony Island. Complete address is 1635 1/2 E 87st Street. As of date I have tried a number of items offered on the menu. Every time I go to this establishment my meals are made to perfection. I am always greeted with kindness and the employees are always courteous. If you’re ever in the neighborhood you gotta try their gyro cheeseburger! This burger is made to so dang-on juicy it’s unbelievable!!

This is my favorite place to eat! Today my fam tried the The Junk burger with fries, Wilding Out Brat, & the Top Notch Tacos. Everything was delicious 😋 Can't wait for our next visit!!

Love love love this place! I finally was home to be able to order and enjoy their food. I had their Nashville spicy chicken sandwich and their hot mess burger. Delicious! I get the chicken sandwich every time I order I’m excited to try more. Service was fast and food is very filling. Will order any chance I get

After Facebook creeping this place until they finally opened, i was ecstatic when the weekend after i was finally able to go with my fiance! We already knew what we were going to get, and everything was DELICIOUS! My fiance hates vegan cheese, but we had the vegan cheese with the nachos, and she LOVED it! I had the Wilding Out Brat, and it was perfection...the grilled onions were a beautiful combo to the peppers on top of the vegan 'meat' that was the brat. My fiance had the Hot Mess, a very creative vegan burger, and she LOVED it. We were skeptical but excited and hopeful, and glad we were because it did not let us down. Only a 15min drive from the suburbs, and we will indefinitely be back! I love small businesses, and love such a passionate and delicious one at that! WE..WILL..BE..BACK!!!

My overall experience at Plant Based Junkie is always GREAT!! The atmosphere is minimal but pleasant, service for order placement to pickup is very efficient, and the food is very delicious it’s so good you won’t believe it’s vegan!

Home of the best plant-based chicken sandwich I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried a lot from all over the country. 1000/10 amazing! The cheese fries could have came with more cheese but I’ll go back for that sandwich any day!

Aye man say man. This was my first time ever seeing this place and I’m trying to eat healthier and be more conscious of what I consume. I got the nachos with “meat” and the banana pudding. Was able to go in and order, easily. And everyone I spoke to was pleasant. Service was super fast! And LET ME JUST SAY THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME EATING VEGAN/PLANT BASED. AND IT WAS SO GOOD. I really just had to come on here and say if you listen to any of these reviews listen to mine because the food was so good😭 the banana pudding is a HIT. Nachos a HIT. Man go shop. Black owned business!!!!!!!! Stop playing with them!!!!!!!!

My elderly mom and I couldn't consume the food because of how poorly it was prepared. Probably a dozen health code violations. And the customer service was completely unacceptable. One host was being combative with another customer who simply asked about menu items. She said she "couldn't help" the customer with the menu because she didn't know what was on the menu and told the customer to "JUST READ." Don't eat here.
