Plant Power Fast Food

I had to pop in here for a bite to eat because I needed something to eat fast before my next thing. It's good fast food. The burger I had was one of the best fast food burgers I've had, and it came out quick and hot. The only reason I'm docking a star is because it's expensive, like $12 for a burger. Adding fries and a drink would have been an additional $5. I get that it's vegan and the ingredients are more expensive, but that's too much for me.

This place had been on my bucket list to try and I was shocked to discover we’ve had one on the UCSD campus this whole time. If you’re coming here from outside the institution, just watch out and park in V Spaces. In regards to the food, I really liked the fries and the onion rings inside of the burger were good. They also had some fancy pure cane sugar soda fountain and I loved their coke replacement. I think this place can really stand out for its variety of plant based snacks and quick eats. The burger itself had quality ingredients, but I couldn’t get past the aftertaste of the burger. That “beefy” patty tasted off to me and while it’s not so disgusting that it’ll make me waste food but I would definitely reconsider getting any of the burgers. I mean try it, but set your expectations a little lower so you aren’t as disappointed, especially at 17 bucks😭. That being said, Onion Rings, Fries, Oatmilk Softserve, Coffee, Cane Sugar Soda, Cane Sugar Iced Refreshers are allll the strongest things this place has to offer. Seriously give it a try if you haven’t and check out that plant based lifestyle🦎 Overall, might as well not lie, this place is DAYGOEATSAPPROVED✅✅📋

Vegan fast food, hell yes! Service was friendly, place was clean, and the food delicious. The chicken wrap and the burger were just what we needed!

Nice vegan option on campus. Friendly workers. So many milkshake flavors to choose from, including horchata. The Buffalo 66 ‘chicken’ sandwich was tasty, though the patty was a bit soft.

Chicken and waffle sandwich superb. Caramel iced coffee was so creamy and delicious. Come to Denver Colorado! A little bit hard to find the location but it was worth the chase.

A little tricky to find, if you don’t know the campus that well. But I found it. Service was great, went in for my usual, big zak combo, but was swayed to try the Ribby. The fun retro infomercial got me. Super super yummy, but be careful, it’s extra saucy and messy. I threw a bunch of fries in my sandwich and went to town with a phenomenal view of Torrey Pines.

What a great place! It’s so nice to have vegan food that isn’t insanely health-ified. I’m not personally vegan, but the food here can be for anyone, no matter the diet. I had a black bean burger with guacamole and it was really really tasty. They also have kombucha on tap! The outdoor patio here is super nice and the workers were very friendly. Will definitely come back here soon.

This review is coming from a meat eater, non vegan. This might be the best vegan place I've been to. Wish there was one where I lived to go to more often. The place is fast food so very casual vibes. Service was good. I'm still mind blown on the bacon and the cheese. My favorite thing I tried was the chicken Cesar wrap. It was crunchy and flavorful. Everything was delicious.

MY FAVORITE!! i got their new curly fries ($1 charge), "chicken" sandwich, and strawberry dragonfruit- amazing. i was so full and everything was plenty flavorful. fast service and delicious comfort food. + it's always clean in their restaurants as i've now tried two different locations (one in LA, one in San Diego)

Since becoming pescatarian, I've had a number of vegan California burritos, and unfortunately this was the worst one. It was pretty loosely wrapped and there wasn't much protein in it. There was a lot of guacamole, which I normally would say is a good thing, but most of the time the guacamole is cold and provides a balance to the rest of the burrito. This was by the far the warmest guacamole I have had in my life. I really wanted to like this place because I love the concept. I hope the burgers are better!

California Boredo is really good. Getting here as a nonUCSD. Student is a challenge but easy with nearby public transit.

I ordered the iconic burger with the "hippie" patty (black bean patty). The food was amazing, everything tastes so fresh. The black bean burger was soft and did fall apart easily, but that's to be expected with most black bean burgers. The sweet potato fries were SO good, the perfect amount of crunch and tasted so fresh. The service was quick and easy. It is on the UCSD campus so it is a little inconvenient, but there is a parking garage right next to it. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating options. Will be returning!

Can we build a statue for the person who brought Plant Power Fast Food into our lives? My partner and I ran a 10k on Mission Beach, then hit up PP to erase all the calories we'd burned. We had the 'chicken' and waffle, 'fried egg and bacon' bagel, and breakfast burrito, all while sitting in the car oceanside. We still talk about it--the best morning ever.

The only spot at ucsd where I actually like the food. Reasonably priced for vegan fast food and so many options. There are deals in store at certain times too. Service can be slow if they're busy but never more than ten minutes. They play great music too.

I don't know why there aren't more reviews for Plant Power Fast Food in LJ. This place is great! I stopped by during a business trip there with a group of non-vegan folks and had lunch. I not only thought it was fantastic but so did all of my colleagues. I mean everyone was happy with their order. The thing I enjoyed most was hearing them all yammer on about how good it tasted, as if vegan food doesn't normally taste good? The burgers I tried were very savory. I had the Holy Guacamole and it was outstanding. Lots of flavor and good spice. Wish I had better access to this place and I'd be going here a lot. Others let me try a slice of their burgers and they were all great. Had one of the best vegan oat-milk shakes I've ever had too - strawberries so fresh. Go here, try them wether you're vegan or not.

I recently ordered from door dash the iconic burger and iconic fries. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture! I got the iconic fries because I was craving animal-style fries from in-n-out (thought it would scratch that itch). I have to say that it was really good. If I had to compare, it would be really hard to say. I do think the fries itself (without the "cheese" and onions) is better than in-n-out. They are seasoned well and have a great texture. With the "cheese" and onion, it was rich and flavorful. The "cheese" surprisingly had a melt-y texture. The only negative was that there were hot spots of salt here and there so it became overwhelming at times. As for the iconic burger, it was fairly tasty. I'd give it a 4 out of 5. I wish they used an impossible or beyond patty though. That would definitely bump it up to a 5. Crossing fingers they introduce these type of burger patties. It'd make this spot my go-to for burgers.

I had plant power delivered by DoorDash and the food quality and taste were still really good. I ordered the Big Zac, Chicken sandwich, and the french fries. The Big Zac tasted just like a Big Mac and the chicken sandwich was just as good as the ones at McDonald's, could barely tell it was vegan. The fries were a little soggy but that was expected with it being delivered, just have to put them in the air fryer. It's a little more pricey than regular fast food but it's well worth it!

Beware that there is no free parking at this location as it is right in the middle of ucsd campus and you have to walk up to it. I ordered the limited edition nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was very heavily condimented to the point where it wasnt really enjoyable. The texture of their "chicken" is great though. I still recommend their food maybe just not the nashville hot chicken sandwiches. The shakes are to die for and the best part is thay they dont give you a tummy ache afterward like dairy might. Im not vegan but always look forward to visiting plant power!

I got a combo meal, and while there was too much lettuce the burger had enough fixings to keep me full. Plus the fries tasted great and were well seasoned. I found the drink most interesting, as it didn't taste too fizzy. But it was still delicious to drink.

This is the second location in SD that I've been to and like it just as much as the other one! We didn't realize it was on a college campus lol oops. The staff member who took our order was super nice. She dealt with my boyfriend's indecisiveness well. She also let my dog hang out with us while we ate! Another staff member gave my dog an ice cream treat. Very nice of them. I had the Big Zac. It needed more sauce on it as it was a bit dry. My bf enjoyed the avocado wrap and we shared the fries covered in a bunch of stuff. So delicious. We bought a brownie too and it was ok! The flavor was a bit off. Not sure why. Overall, good experience with friendly service.

This was my first vegan burger ever. I've wanted to try the food here since it opened and I will say that it definitely competes with a lot of the typical fast food restaurants. I won't lie and say the burger tasted like real meat, it's texture was a lot softer and there is a distinct taste, but I think it's a good food separate from a meat patty that is worth trying. The iconic fries were amazing. If you like Animal Fries from In n Out, Iconic fries have them BEAT. Really, they're so much better- saucier, cheesier (even with their "cheese"). The Horchata milkshake was good too, just as good as a cow-milk based shake. This is a great option on campus if you need a fast food fix.

After seeing plant power I was curious as to what vegan burger with taste like at plant-based restaurant. I dragged my girlfriendd to come with me to try it out. She's a big time carnivore so it took a lot of work to get her to go. We were quite surprised when we came here. It was Sunday night and the restaurant was almost completely full. I guess there's a lot of vegan in town or there's a lot of people wanting to eat healthy and cut the meat out of their diets. By the way the place seems lively and happening. We took a look at the menu board and everything looked really appetizing. I saw that they had a big Zac which is recreation of McDonald's famous Big Mac. My girlfriend friend wanted to stick with the classic bacon cheeseburger. One bite into my burger and I knew it wasn't the same as meat Burger but it was quite delicious. The faux meat was cooked perfectly, it actually had a nice char to it. The sauce that they made was spot on to the original. My girlfriendd said that her Burger wasn't that great because she could really taste the fake meat and a bacon. She would come back and try some other ones if it's what I wanted to eat. I'm not sure when I'll be coming back but when I do at least I know it's healthy for you.

Their burgers were great and their iconic fries were good as well. They need to have one person (at lunch time) standing at the order pickup area. I couldn't get my lunch that I had pre-ordered because no one would take my order number. I ordered ahead because I had stuff I needed to do and I shouldn't have to wait for awhile to pick it up when it's just sitting under the heat lamp. Food wise: I got the southwest wrap and it was tiny, like child sized. I've seen other people get actual adult wraps so I'm pretty disappointed that I paid almost $10 for a wrap that was mostly tortilla and a child could easily hold. I won't say I won't be back, but I think I'll stick to the burgers and fries.

Okay wow wow wow! The milkshakes here are amazing, just the right consistency! Do not pass on the Iconic fries or Buffalo wings, you won't be disappointed. I ordered the chicken sandwich with ranch. Their ranch is so good and tangy. The staff were super friendly and polite. The food came out in a timely manner. Overall great experience for vegan fast food. Will definitely be coming back for more.

The vegan burgers here are absolutely delicious and flavorful! I usually have the iconic burger and share an order of the 'chicken' nuggets with my boyfriend. I've also tried the iconic fries before too, and they are super tasty, very similar to the version from in n out. I hope that Plant Power becomes even more successful and opens up additional locations around town! Although this location is somewhat convenient for me, I would not come here on my own just because of the campus parking situation (I'm no longer a student). And if I could have one suggestion for the burgers to take them to the next level, I wish the buns were steamed or toasted! The texture usually feels a little cold, like they were just taken out of the bag. Other than that, the burgers are still tasty though and I'll still keep coming here every so often!

I would classify this as a bad experience. My daughter ordered me a meal through this app called "door dash" and the food came cold, unappetizing, and undercooked. I wanted a refund and couldn't get one apparently.. the managers here, one I spoke to the first time was a woman, they are all very unprofessional and rude. My first and last time here.

Beautiful campus and great spot. Elber and team care about you. Food is great. Don't need to take a nap after putting down a burger and fry combo! Get a milkshake too will not disappoint!

A great vegan fast food spot on campus. The wraps are my favorite and the nuggets are definitely worth a try. I will say that this place a bit on the pricier side but they do not skip out on the taste. They limit you one free sauce packet and charge for any more sauce packets you want (excluding ketchup). One critique I do have is that their shakes are incredibly sweet and thick which is surprising since I have a sweet tooth, so keep that in mind.

I have gotten to try several different menu items and my favorite remains the holy quack mole burger! I love the lettuce bun option and order that every time. I have also enjoyed various milkshake flavors along with the better finger snow day! A bit pricy but making use of their reward system is worth it!

Had a great experience here with the food, and one of the staff members, Davis, went above and beyond. Davis was so fantastic with my better half's food allergies, going so far as to looking into aaaaaaall the ingredients to confirm what he could/couldn't have with a coconut allergy. The food was great, as well -- highly recommend the iconic fries and "milk" shakes, made with Oatly ice cream mix. I was pleased that the location/accessibility was easy, too (went on a Saturday and parked in the garage). Fantastic and can't wait to go back!

First of all, I must admit I'm not a Vegan. I have a friend that always talks highly about this specific fast food restaurant, PLANT POWER! He finally convinced me to come and check it out for my self. I was quickly greeted with much enthusiastic which made feel extremely welcome. I explained that I wasn't vegan but wanted to try it out, they were very happy to elaborate on their menu and took their time as if I was some type of celebrity! After a few minutes of talking, I was convinced I made the right choice! I order the big Zack and OMG!!!! I'm Surprisingly amaze on how delicious this burger taste, I will be completely honest, I thought it would taste like some sort of fake food! Well, I was wrong, it had a very delicious taste to each bite, it was well seasoned and very humongous burger! I'm now contemplating I'm becoming 100% VEGAN! I highly recommend this location, everyone is very friendly and welcoming! I'm now thinking on trying something new on the menu! Next time I will take a picture lol sorry didn't even had time to take a picture it was gone in a second! From a none vegan customer, you have my approvals and 5 stars! I would give you more but that's the max see y'all soon!

Great service, my order is always right when I go to this location. Their nuggets are definitely my fave! My only complaint is that if you are not familiar with campus it can be challenging to find - park in the garage and take a blue elevator to the first floor.
