Hopefully with the news of the Long Beach Motor Inn being torn down and being replaced with housing for veterans... This last den of iniquity in this general area is next to be torn down and replaced with something that benefits people and the community. Similar to how the Capri in Lynbrook was sold and turned into upscale housing or how the Oceanside Motel was turned into a parking area for a now beautiful stretch of Long Beach Road where people don't have to worry about running into nefarious people because of the Oceanside Motel among other seedy places where the owners are only worried about making as much money as possible with zero concerns about how their actions affect the surrounding community. Hopefully at some point the owners of the Plantation do what's best for the community and take the millions of dollars they can get and retire with by selling the property to someone who will demolish it and ensure they will better the community with something like a clean and well kept apartment complex or something like senior housing or as with the Long Beach Motor Inn within spitting distance, something that benefits people and the community like housing for homeless or at risk of being homeless veterans. I am a big believer in people being able to do what they want with what they own. Hence why I wouldn't like to see or support government forcing anyone out so I hope the owners of the Plantation at some point realize that the surrounding community would be better served with them taking the probably 10+ million dollars they would get from the sale of this den of iniquity and allowing someone who wants to enhance the surrounding community do something meaningful with the land

*UPDATE* My husband and I been coming here on and off since summer of 2024. We love this place! Nobody bothers you and staff is friendly. The motel is being redone and it's looking great! The area is very convenient and safe and the price per night is extremely affordable and reasonable. This is our go to spot when we need a place to crash. Thank you all for everything you've done for us and keep up the amazing work!

The customer service at this place is horrible. I have been a manager of a Marriott hotel and have been in the Hospitality field for almost 40 years. I can tell you I have never seen a place run like this. My cousins were looking to visit from Scranton PA and had no luck finding a place that was affordable. They called here and were told they no reservations were taken over the phone and it was a good idea to show up early in the morning. Someone told them the rate was $130.00/night. My cousin asked me to go and book the room so I said “ok”. Upon arriving around 7:00 AM I was told they had rooms available and the rate was $230.00/night. I explained what was advised over the phone and he said that rate is from 12:00 PM check in so I said OK let’s do they. The front desk agent said I would Have to go back at 11:00 to book that. I was back at 11:00 and was then told to come back at 12:00 by a different front desk clerk. At this point I was frustrated but didn’t say anything because I promised my cousins I would get this booked for them. I personally didn't really find the hotel worth the headache and would not stay here myself. I did leave and come back at 11:45AM and was then told they didn’t have any rooms! What a waste of time for a dive. They had them for $230/night which is about the rack rate for the places directly on the Long Beach strip. Good luck to anyone looking to stay here. I’d definitely look elsewhere and book well in advance. This place is a dive and books by the hour too. I get they are trying to make as much money as possible bit to give prospective guests the run around is ridiculous.

newely renovated and under new management..its good place and now everything is changed..

I remember going there years ago went I was in my early 20s. Even then, it was just known as a no tell Motel. I used to go in and rent the place for three hours, the minimum they allowed. We did our business and left.

The employees were nice. The manager wasn't and there's no wifi. I hit the light switch and it didn't go on. The next thing I hit was my head on a shelf that's right after the door.

My friend and I went to stay here since it was close to Long Beach and it was the most disgusting place I have ever been to in my life. The rooms are gross. We turned on the tv to porn. There are no light bulbs in the light holder, spiders on the walls, no windows in the front. You can tell they don’t clean there rooms and don’t care. You feel like your in a horror movie the second you pull into the parking lot. Long story short my friend and I left after we got charged the $120. I’d rather waste that money than get killed. It’s a real shame because the location is great someone should buy the motel knock down the whole thing and bulid a nice hotel I’m sure they would make good money. Don’t stay here.

I've been here for only an hour and never staying here again. I walked in and there are finger and hand prints on the mirror, Crums on the floors. There is throw up. DRY THROW UP. On the bathroom door. Room is very dirty I've never been in a hotel worse. I got stuck inside the bathroom for a second because the door was stuck. I went to turn the light on & it's greasy. Disgustingm

This hotel claims that they do not take reservations. They work on a first come first Serve basis. They will quote the room as being about a hundred thirty dollars per night

Typical no-tell motel... short stays, overnights, not the best, but if you're trying to get your rocks off quick, easy, and keep yourself on the dl.. this is the place for you . The rooms are very shabby, looks like they haven't renovated the place since damn near the 70s. There are mirrors above the bed (major +) & the TVs have like 5 channels tops, the beds aren't comfortable in the slightest bit, and you can definitely find the occasional stem (crack pipe) or condom wrapper behind the bed frame.. enter at your own risk ! Please can somebody buy this place out and renovate the whole thing!!!! I wouldn't be surprised if they have ghost...
